spartan50: He still dey play football.. I thought he has resigned
Him football age na 31 yrs. We no know wetin him real age be. I sure say if Bolton know him real age them go run. For oyibo, real age = football age but for naija people, real age = football age + X where X can be up to 5yrs and above.
TonyeBarcanista: PDP NATIONAL YOUTH LEAGUE REACT TO THE ALLEGED DEFECTION OF JERRY GANA, ADENIRAN AND OTHERS
We the entire members of Peoples Democratic Party National Youth League (PDPNYL) received the news of alleged defection of some leaders of our great party including, Prof Jerry Gana, Prof Tunde Adeniran and Alhaji Shehu Gabam to Social Democratic Party (SDP) with great shock and sadness.
It is our candid opinion that the least expected of people that have had so much gains from the party is to join hands with the indefatigable leadership of our great party led by Prince Uche Secondus and his team of National Working Committee to rebuild the party for greatness, reposition it and Regain every lost ground.
While we mourn the exit of the aforementioned leaders from the party, it is our candid belief that the PDP National Youth League will not be broken.
The PDPNYL shall continue to reach out to and galvanize young Nigerians into our great party to ensure maximum support of the youths ahead of 2019 election.
The PDPNYL shall always liaise with the office of the National Youth Leader, National Publicity Secretary, National Women Leader, National Secretary, National Chairman and every other relevant organs at all levels to achieve this aim.
Though we believe that the PDP is the only party that can resoundingly defeat the ruling All Progressive Congress in 2019 and beyond, we wish the aforementioned leaders well in their new found party.
SIGNED Zainab Al-Amin National Publicity Secretary, Peoples Democratic Party National Youth League March 3, 2017
A few days after Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and Minister of State for Healh, Osagie Ehanire came under fire for receiving Yusuf Buhari after his medical trip, video of his arrival at Aso Rock has emerged.
Many had decried the presence of the duo at the State House and wondered if the two office holders had no important engagements.
In the video, Yusuf was seen closely followed by a man who appears to be guiding his left arm.
As he entered a room, he walked straight to his father, President Buhari.
Both greeted and spoke for some seconds.
Others seen in the footage were Yusuf’s mother and First Lady, Aisha Buhari, one of his sisters and Governor Bello.
The power behind love is too big. Many may not understand because true love is hard to find this days. If you have experienced true love then you will appreciate the love Jesus has for us to give his life for us to be saved.
That's why no man should tell any woman. "I can die for you"
Because a day will come when the devil would want you to prove your words.
But this to me, is the purest display of true love. For the Bible says in John 15:13. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends"
He loved this girl more than everything in this world, even more than his life. This is why true love is hard to find.
tomakint: Too bad and gory despite "technically defeating Boko Haram" useless and lying government
They used propaganda to win the 2015 elections with Lai Mohammed as the arrow head. For a job well done they brought him from being APC publicity secretary to be the government spokesman hoping to use same propaganda to govern the country and appear to be succeeding. They thought they could also use propaganda to win the war against boko haram but its obvious to them now that the war is a different ball game.
If trucks of fertizer got missing during previous administrations, too bad but I am not sure they used 200 million naira to clear grass.
SamoaJoe: A lying, old, dead vegetable... that's what Buhari is. Under the previous government, the minister of Agriculture was one of the best brain we had around. Now Akinwumi Adesina has taken a greater position globally. Because of his performance, corruption in fertilizer distribution was eradicated through e-wallet. We were food sufficient.
You came onboard and destroyed everything with your useless archaic policies, Saddled us with a dead gerontocrat as Agriculture minister while fighting a fake corruption on the pages of newspaper. APC, we are tired of your lies and deceits.
If INEC wanted to get the truth, they should have appointed a southerner to head this investigating committee and not another northerner who will want to cover the track. I dont expect them to expose how somebody got 2 million votes in a recent election.
BeeBeeOoh: That's why i always laugh at people who chant on top of their voices about voting Mr. Buhari out come 2019 because he's already the winner if he decides to recontest.
If i may ask, has there been anytime in Nigeria the president and INEC chairman came from same region?
I appreciate your response and the fact that you did not use a foul language like most folks do here once you have a contrary view to theirs. The point some of us try to make is that what we need in this country are strong institutions and not individuals. When the institutions are strong then it doesnt matter who the individuals are. As I make this comment, the prime minister of Israel is being investigated by the police on allegations of corruption because they have strong institutions. Can Nigeria police or EFCC or ICPC open investigation against a Nigerian president? No. In the public service, when you have such allegations like the ones raised by the DSS especially the one where he was accused of staying in an apartment rented for 20 million annually and paid for by a man standing trial for corruption, what happens is to raise a panel to try the person like the panel that tried Maina and not for the government to be the ones defending him. I am sure you are aware that was how Babachua Lawal, the former SGF was given a clearance before they eventually agreed he had a case to answer.
kenodrill: There's absolutely no dispute to the fact that magu is not the only one that can boss the anti-corruption committee.the question we should ask ourselves is... 'why are the likes of saraki, dino n other corrupt oriented bigots after magu? Yes I understood there's a report from DSS which question his integrity ,but till date there has not been any concrete facts n evidence to ascertain those claims...hence magu is not guilty of all allegations since his not been proven guilty by any competent court of jurisdiction. So... He(magu)remains the only credible and substantial man to head the commission.
I get surprised by Osinbajo. At times positions make people unpredictable. All these go to show that the only corrupt people are those not in their camp and that explains why Nigeria's score by Transparency International is very low inspite of the efforts they are making. Imagine Osinbajo saying Magu cannot be removed because he is the most senior personnel in EFCC. Was he not deployed from the police? can he not be sent back?
PointB: Magu has not committed any offence - Osibanjo Abacha never stole - Buhari
A trend?
Can corruption fight corruption? Shouldn't he who come to equity come with clean hands, eh Mr. Osibanjo?
Excerpts from DSS Report on Magu!
August 2008 , following a search at his (Magu's) residence during the tenure of Farida WAZIRI (AIG/Rtd) as the commission’s chairman, some sensitive EFCC documents which were not supposed to be at his disposal were discovered. He was subsequently redeployed to the police after days of detention and later suspended from the Force.
In December 2010 , the Police Service Commission found Magu guilty of “Action prejudicial to state security, withholding of EFCC files, sabotage, unauthorised removal of EFCC files and acts unbecoming of a Police officer,” and awarded him severe reprimand as punishment.
“4. Notwithstanding, sequel to the appointment of Ibrahim Lamorde as Chairman of the EFCC in 2011, he made the return of Magu to the EFCC a top priority. Both men had worked together at the commission when Lamorde served as Head of Operations of the agency. Magu remained a top official of the commission until he was appointed to succeed Lamorde. “
5. Magu is currently occupying a residence rented for N40m, at N20m per annum. This accommodation was not paid for from the commission’s finances but by one Umar Mohammed (Air Commodore/Rtd), a questionable businessman and ally of subject who has subsequently been arrested by this service. For the furnishing of the residence, Mohammed enlisted the Federal Capital Development Authority to award a contract to Africa Energy, a company owned by the same Mohammed to lavishly furnish the residence at the cost of N43m.
and it concluded...
“14. In the light of the foregoing, Magu has failed the integrity test and will eventually constitute a liability to the anti-corruption drive of the present administration.”
15. Accept the assurances of the esteemed regards of the DGSS, please.
Folashade Bello
How can the senate overlook this report and confirm such individual? Is that how low we want to sink?
kenodrill: Nigeria's anti-corruption war is doom to crumble should magu seize been the head of the EFCC.only the corrupt don't like this man!
By your statement, Magu is the only man that can do the job in Nigeria. Instead of removing him, we should just close EFCC because no other Nigerian can fit in. Note that the main opposition to Magu is from the DSS, an organ under the presidency, who wrote a damning report against him. I am sure that if you were a senator, you wont see such a report, which the senate requests for before clearing nominies and ignore it. In a nutshell, I think there is even no need for the senate to request for such clearance anymore since it is of no consequence.
The day this girl accepted the guy's advances was a black day. She didnt know she accepted to go out with a demon. Not as if she is his wife. I am sure the coward will be on the run by now but the long hand of the law will surely catch up with him.
Buhari is doing virtually everything he criticized before becoming president. He was very outspoken against medical tourism insisting that the funds for such trips should be channelled to other things to benefit Nigerians. See the way they are all going on medical trips. I wonder the trick they will come up with for the 2019 elections because as I continue to say, them no dey deceive ashawo two times. If you go meet am first time and tell am say I dey come. You go second time and you tell am say I dey come, she go grab you for where you no expect.
ivandragon: Nigerians question sincerity of Buhari’s govt over Yusuf’s ill-health, return
Nigerians on social media have accused the Buhari-led government of lying to them regarding Yusuf Buhari’s medical trip to Germany.
They recalled sometime in December when the presidency denied that Yusuf was being flown out of the country for treatment.
DAILY POST recalls that confusion trailed the specific location of Yusuf sometime in December after reports emerged that he was flown to Germany.
Mallam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity in a message to Punch faulted reports, stating that Yusuf was still being treated at a private hospital in Abuja.
However, there seems to be contradiction as return of Yusuf Buhari is being celebrated in presidential villa. In respect to this, Nigerians have accused Buhari’s government of being insincere.
Here are some comments:
@omonighoihomah, ” I thought they said he was went straight to Aso rock after he was discharged from the hospital?
@mrendowed747 ” I thought they said he wasn’t flown out?? Lies everywhere thank God the Dude is okay though in naija only the rich survives
@mz_lilian ” But they denied he was flown to Germany. Naija government even with tax payers money no accountability.
@olivias_beauty, ” Was this not same guy they said was being treated here in Nigeria? Who is deceiving who?
@joymena_ ” These same peeps told us he wasn’t flown to Germany for treatment, that he was in Abuja. Why lie? Niaja.
@kingidris ” Shebi they said he his receiving treatment in Abuja and that he wasn’t flown abroad
@i-am_ayo ” WAIT! you people cannot be confusing me anyhow sebi you said he was getting treatment in Abuja hospital
@tobiloba_vanessa ” Thought they said he didn’t leave the country then?
@i_ambeautiful ” Is there a state called Germany in Nigeria. Please let me know if i wasn’t listening in primary school.”
Searching for oil at gun point. Countries are leaving oil o, una dey waste our money dey fin oil for where oil no dey. With wetin boko haram do the last people wey go look for oil last time, give me one million per second, I no dey go o.
ManirBK: Barely two weeks after the release of some lecturers prospecting for oil at the Chad Basin, the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC,has concluded arrangement to recommence exploration activities at the basin, Managing Director of NNPC,Maikanti Baru, has said. Oil exploration activities at the Chad Basin was suspended for months due to the abduction of the three lecturers from the University of Maiduguri which raised fresh security concerns. Baru, who led a team of the company’s top management staff to the Kaduna International Trade fair on Wednesday said the NNPC has discovered four locations in the BenueTrough which has renewed its hope on the prospect of an oil find in the basin and is ready to go back. “On the Lake Chad oil exploration,we have been working tirelessly and we thank the President for rescuing some of the lecturers that were involved in the exploration in the region. We are going back to the Chad Basin with full force,” He said.
tetengi4life: Gunners gonna be trashed as usual. Agbameyang abi weti be him name is pretty disappointing. They are a gunner as the name.

Which deserves death penalty more between hate speech and corruption? They treat the later with kid gloves because they are all gulty of it.
phoenix45: Any person found guilty of any form of hate speech that results in the death of another person shall die by hanging upon conviction, reads a new bill by the Senate. The bill, which reflects the growing concern over the spate of violence in the nation, was sponsored by the spokesman of the upper chamber, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi (APC, Niger).
It also seeks the establishment of an ‘Independent National Commission for Hate Speeches’, which shall enforce hate speech laws across the country, ensure the elimination of the menace and advise the Federal Government. For offences such as harassment on the grounds of ethnicity or racial contempt, a culprit shall be sentenced to “not less than a five-year jail term or a fine of not less than N10 million or both.”
The bill notes: “A person who uses, publishes, presents, produces, plays, provides, distributes and/or directs the performance of any material, written and/or visual, which is threatening, abusive or insulting or involves the use of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, commits an offence, if such person intends thereby to stir up ethnic hatred, or having regard to all the circumstances, ethnic hatred is likely to be stirred up against any person or person from such an ethnic group in Nigeria.”
It notes that “a person subjects another to harassment on the basis of ethnicity for the purposes of this section where, on ethnic grounds, he unjustifiably engages in a conduct which has the purpose or effect of (a) violating that other person’s dignity or (b) creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment for the person subjected to the harassment.
“Conduct shall be regarded as having the effect specified in subsection (1) (a) or (b) of this section if, having regard to all the circumstances, including in particular the perception of that other person, it should reasonably be considered as having that effect.”The National Commission for Hate Speeches shall be headed by an executive chairperson who would be appointed by the president on recommendation of the National Council of State, subject to the confirmation of at least two-third majority of the National Assembly.
The commission shall discourage persons, institutions, political parties and associations from advocating or promoting discrimination or discriminatory practices through the use of hate speeches; promote tolerance, understanding and acceptance of diversity in all aspects of national life and encourage full participation by all ethnic communities in the social, economic, cultural and political life of other communities. It shall also plan, supervise, coordinate and promote educational and training programmes to create public awareness, support and advancement of peace and harmony among ethnic communities and racial groups.
It shall furthermore promote respect for religiouss, cultural, linguistic and other forms of diversity in a plural society; promote equal access by persons of all ethnic communities and racial groups to public or other services and facilities provided by the government.
The Senate also disclosed that its bid to pass the 2018 budget was being frustrated by ministers and heads of parastatals who have refused to provide details on allocations to their ministries.Without mentioning names, the upper chamber issued a fresh seven working-day ultimatum to the affected ministries.
Similar ultimatums in the past had done little to facilitate the budget preparation. The Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, Sunny Ogbuoji, said: ” The majority of the Ministries, Departments and Agencies are not coming forward to interface with the standing committees. Some of the ministers will tell you they are going outside the country, and because of that, the MDAs are not fully ready.”
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, stressed that the upper chamber wants the process concluded as early as possible, regretting: “The perception is that it is the parliament that delays these things.”He said: “The Senate Majority Leader will communicate and get in touch with the executive arm of government, so that these MDAs can be told to play their part to ensure that this exercise can be completed.
“I appeal to all these ministers and managing directors that keep on travelling that this is a time for them to be on ground and ensure that they finish this report.”The Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, said it was unfair for the heads of parastatals to “hold the country down.” He noted: “It has come to a stage where we have to consider taking what has already been presented by the president from those MDAs as the position of the MDAs, instead of waiting for them for ever.
“We gave them an opportunity about three weeks ago to make this a priority but it seems that has not happened. So, instead of the country suffering, it is better to give them just few more days. And after that, the relevant committees will adopt what was sent to us by the president as the positions of the MDAs. We cannot continue to be running the country like this.”
The Senate furthermore faulted the assumption of office by the newly nominated acting Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Anthony Okechukwu Ojukwu, ahead of a confirmation. It also mandated its committee on judiciary to investigate the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, for directing Ojukwu to do so.
The upper chamber reached the resolutions following a motion by Senator Dino Melaye who noted: “If the attorney general, who is supposed to be the custodian of our laws, will flagrantly ask an individual who has been nominated by Mr. President but has not been confirmed by the Senate to go and assume duty, and the person has since resumed, then we are not practising democracy. We have no regard for the rule of law.”
PaChukwudi44: A minister of state for health actually went to the airport to receive him? In what official capacity?
It is likely that the cost of the medical tourism was undertaken by government so the minister must go and see their project whether it is completed and whether there is value for money.
These guys are brutal. When oyibo people go see these kin pix them go know say na jungle we truly dey where anything goes.
Angelanest: According to reports, there was panic and chaos earlier today after armed men in military outfits stormed Tandama town in Danja Local Government Area of Katsina state for a robbery operation. The villagers who gathered in their numbers including vigilante members - reportedly attacked the robbers and caught some after surrounding the area.
Two of the armed robbers were killed gruesomely by the youths after a young boy was allegedly shot dead.
Here are graphic pictures of the slain suspected armed robbers.
Chigold101: What would you expect someone who failed the SAN exams for more than 3 times until Buhari and APC awarded him SAN last year to say? He is an unprincipled human being therefore his face is always towards the end where his food comes from... Shame on Keyamo
Marriage means different things to different people. To this lady, sex takes precedence over everything else. The man must be able to do it well or he is out of the options. And the way to comfirm this is by testing the man.
Festus Keyamo is always argueing to support the APC government. The man na APC member. I dont blame him though afterall he is one of the lawyers handing EFCC cases and he is not doing this for free. I thought he should intensify efforts to reduce the cases they are loosing in court.
Tinubu don hold them for brokos. He know say them need am for 2019 so any condition wey him give now them go accept am like mumu otherwise 2019 na dream.
