Well said, IMO, an average Briton is a racisit and xenophobe, this is reflected in the government decisions over the years on employment and immigration policies.

"Data indicates the UK has high levels of anti-immigrant sentiment within Western Europe, with a documented rise in racist and xenophobic incidents, particularly surrounding the 2016 Brexit referendum and continuing into 2025. While not describing all citizens, this trend involves widespread anti-immigration attitudes, racial, and religious-based hate crimes (nearly 99,000 in 2023-2024), driven by political discourse, media, and far-right groups".

Goke7:
Bro, as I said earlier, the signs were all there, and getting a COS was never a guarantee of anything. I had it, and it vanished into thin air. I feel people should be more open-minded and be ready to either return to Nigeria or move elsewhere! I even appreciate those who have made up their minds, despite any immigration circumstances, to return home someday! So the excuse of getting caught off-guard doesn't hold much, I knew how some folks discouraged me from coming into this country initially, and these inconsistency in UK immigration policies were their major reason, so it's not something that started today, that is how the UK has been programmed to always rise against non-British according to their moodswings, the Europeans were chased away, the windrush generation had their own share, and these were folks that were more intergrated into the system compared to recent migrants. Everyone ought to be aware of this now and stop assuming things may be different.

UK is a country that pretends to be tough on immigration yet surviving on cheap migrant labour, I just had a sit down with a neighbour of mine, a British white woman who works in one of the job centres, do you know you can now claim as much as £71k a year if you have 6kids and know your way around UC and all other benefit agencies?

So we should keep quite and pretend that all is well and terrorists will continue killing people because you want to still be coming back for dirty December.

Nigerians are impossible
Go and assist the USA in blowing up Nigeria as you do not understand simple logic.

Almost there but not quite. The governors have been 'trying' since 2010.

If it was my question you're referring to- it's simple.
What should the victims do? I have seen villages being laid bare with hundreds killed. Many locals in Kaduna, Jos e.t.c know their village is next in line to be decimated. What should they do?
First, am afraid the Governors and local council chairmen are not doing enough, we read everyday in the news how some Governors and law makers now reside in Abuja permanently, yet they get re-elected every 4 years to various positions by the same oppressed people.

2nd, if you know you are in such critical danger, you prepare defence and rally your co villagers, if not possible because of superior fire power, flee to a safe place, why would I wait to be overrun by bandits?

If anyone here believes USA or Donald Trump is coming to fight your battle for you in Nigeria and hand over governance to the existing thieves[leaders] at the end of the day, you are living in fools paradise, nobody is gonna fight your war for you.

Most of us do travel home for dirty december and what not, once US moves in, let me see how you are going to visit your lovely Nigeria, am even sure US intels will advice Trump against starting a war in Nigeria, if Nigerians ever gets displaced, I wonder how many countries would be able to accept an exodus of asylum seeking Nigerians.

Nigerian govt is so corrupt that they play politics with everything, Tinubu is more concerned about winning the next election, nobody really cares about the cry for help over the years from Jos, South Kaduna, Benue and recently Niger and Kwara states. I remember vividly the fulani idiots tried coming close to Lagos, they striked along Ibadand and other parts of Oyo state, Akeredolu of blessed memory took it upon himself to declare total war in Ondo/Ekiti and Osun states.

Someone asked what is the solution to banditory? My answer is, every Governor most be proactive instead of being reactive, take the war to them, you as a Gov should declare war on banditory unless you are complicit, organise local vigilantes, spend money on them stop stealing and looting the montly allocations, employ the youths and train them to become vigilantes, equip them with amunitions, pay them well, put a bounty on the heads of the bandits and see how banditry will naturally and gradually fizzle out.

I know some companys do like them for retail purposes and other engineering activities. Can I have a rough estimate of how much it can be cleared from customs and how much it costs to convert it to LHD? Thank u.

Iran is another toothless bulldog and now the whole world knows this, this was just too easy for Israel, even Irans retaliation is just too weak couldnt hit any significant site in Jerusalem or Telaviv. Iran is going to come to the table and negotiate soon.

Ah, if this was for a health and care visa then the "real employer" is also very sus lol because they should not have charged anything, or at least close to nil. Not surprised the license got revoked.
As much as there is emphasies on punishing folks selling COS, people willing to buy are also culpable in this case, have seen people desperate and intentionally asking to pay for COS, thats intentionally breaking the law.

The essence of this page is to assist Nigerian UK immigrants who are legally residing or intends to legally reside in the UK. The Uk government has tightened the visa rules, what else can they do? Kemi's 15yr ILR rule is ABATEMENT AB INITIO. I was watching sky news earlier and Kemi the Oikophobe is already a laughing stock with all her over zealous actions on immigration. You were a teenager before realising you are a British citizen by birth and you have lived 10yrs or more outside of England yet suddenly your are more Bri-ish innit?

Better to go through this route than failing the MOT, for example if i want to buy a used car i run away from cars that are serial mot failures, do you know that the number plate lights or even fog lights not working is an MOT failure?

Tier4Dependant:
Google garages near you when you can get a FREE or at most £10 vehicle health check (VHC).

It’s not a guarantee to pass MOT but they will be able to advise you if anything needs to be fixed or if any thing can jeopardise your car’s chances of passing it’s MOT.

TravelRe: I Got A Job In UK, Now This! by Teedol: 11:10am On Nov 20, 2023
On band 5 after deductuons your salary would be £1,700-£1,800 monthly, this is for 37.5hrs a week, you have the right to do extra 22.hrs a week, if you are lucky you could get £25-£30/hr jobs in private practices, this could amount to extra £1600 a month after deductions.

My wife made the move earlier this year and its the best decision we ever made, we are settled and happy.

I got a manual about 3 months ago and I have no regrets, mine is a 2005 model with 130,000 mileage, yet everything works perfectly. I do about 15miles a day and i full my tank once a month, this car is very fuel efficient.

NB.
I got an auto gear 2009 Nissan Tiida for the wife about a week ago for £1,650, I hope this car serves us well too, you can search for cars with 1.4 to 1.6l engines on Facebook market place near you.

I was trying to say this few weeks ago but couldn't put the words together the way you have done it, probably cos I was at work and doing multiple things at the same time. Where I live so many Nigerians are home owners and living good lifestyle with the same healthcare job some are always running down on nairaland.

I have a friend whose service user lives
with learning disabilities and complex care, he just told social service he will be terminating his contract with the said service user, they have been enticing him with a lot of money, yet this guy
wont accept. I know a Nigerian big bro where i live who just built/remodelled a healthcare home with over a million pounds, some of us got here few months back but lucky to roll with "the people that know road"

Progressivegee:
The way some people on this thread belittle others working in the healthcare profession is not just wrong but also condescending. To some, it is believed that healthcare assistant is all about packing sh!t. Thats myopic. Lol. The healthcare industry is very broad and has high earning potentials. As a mental health support worker, you can earn as much as £25 per hour with minimal experience on the job. More experienced workers earn up to £40 per hour and above by just sitting down all day or night taking records or making sure things are done properly in the facility. Complex care support for children with learning difficulties pays very high even more than many office workers. Its an industry that offers huge potentials and opportunity to grow with readily available hands on training provided by most employers.

Let's erode that mindset that all healthcare workers are at the bottom of the career food chain (salary wise) when in reality many earn far more than workers in other industry. A friend of mine who studied mechanical engineering both in his undergraduate and UK masters level made a lot of money in complex health care and has started his own care company. Today he is an employer of labor and a director after undergoing several training.

You don't need to make yourself feel highly by bringing others down. For healthcare assistants, while you are motivated to grow your career within or outside the care profession, do not let anyone make you look down on your hustle. You can make good money in this profession without doing personal care with the little experience you can gather. And if you choose to get other professional jobs in line with your academic qualifications, great! Care Experience can be useful for jobs roles in customer support, human relations, because you are able to manage emotions of people with varying degree of temperament and mental stability.

May God bless everyone with a legit hustle. Amen
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Teedol: 7:26am On May 30, 2023
Am happy you are doing fine. All the same It's alright and OK to earn minimum wage, don't give people high blood pressure, if we all become dev ops and IT experts, who would teach your kids or take care of you when you are sick, it's OK to be a middle income earner, as long as you can provide for yourself and family, this same mentality is why Nigeria has refused to develop everybody wants to earn the highest hence lots of corruption in the land. Be OK and contented with what you've got, millions have less.

The truth and happy thing about Tinubu's administration is am not gonna pity anyone anymore since have realised that the masses are the problem of Nigeria
