Drilling holes into the house to kill is quite easy with guns but while trying to capture a live one it is quite tricky and handled with more care. They got him with information and definately needed him for more intel. So 3hrs was not too much. A scene like that in a movie would last not more than 5 mins but in real life there is no editing time.

PoliticsRe: Doctor's Strike: A Must Read by teemy(m):
In a proper setting, the doctor that used an outdated drug and yet refused to heed the advice of a pharmacist should be queried and if he/she cannot defend such an action is to be seriously sanctioned and likewise the pharmacist who overstepped his jurisdictional bounds. Probably more the pharmacist.

Good intentions are not enough in medical practice and the proper chain of command should never be circumvented. Try watching 'The Good Doctor' a Korean movie series.

Extremist activist groups like MEND, Boko Haram and more liberal ones exist so that their voices could be heard. The reaction to their first voices determined how much more they have to shout thereafter. If NMA had in the past in their demands for better personnel benefits had placed the JOHESU needs with same determination as they did for themselves, there wouldn't have been a parallel medical union that would in time compete and fight against them. What a pity,

This childish matter at hand should have been resolved in house within the health ministry and a lot of blame here lies with the health minister to have let the matter grow to such proportions at it is now under his watch. Alternatively, the matter should have been settled in court so the law could interprete existing rules to both parties. As it is now, JOHESU too would be ready to go to court if their govt agreement is touched. It seems they both are in a competition of who can kill the most patients if they down tools. What a pity I say.

KeleBaby: Hi Nlanders I have been dating my bf for six months now. We a very open couple, we talk about almost everything. I am a christian, infact i am born again. Before we started off with the relationship, i told him what i want from a man and i want a serious relationship and thats what he wants also. Through out the relationship he asked me if we are gona do it. Am a very honest person , so i told him yes and i like doing it. But its not like i bleep very guy that comes my way. Will i loose his respect for me after telling him that i like sex ?
Thanks dear for being truthful to yourself of saying you like sex. A good number of christians are at one point of the other at boiling point for when they will explode and express themselves to the fullest.

However for everything there is a time and a place. In the Old Testament of the bible, the temple had various compartments for people to stay in during worship. The general populace stayed outside and in the open courtyard, the other priests and Levites allowed in the first sanctuary while the High Priest was the only one allowed into the Holy of Holies.

Heb 9:2 For there was a tabernacle prepared, the first, wherein were the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the Holy place.
Heb 9:3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holy of holies;
Heb 9:7 but into the second the high priest alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offereth for himself, and for the errors of the people:
Your body is a temple

2Co 6:16 And what agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, as God has said, "I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."
In relationships, you have those that are aquaintances that fall in the "hello, hi" category. then comes the close friends and lastly the intimate one. Just as the High priest was the only one permitted into the Holy of Holies, it is also 'your' High priest who is the intimate one that should enter into your Holy of Holies. The High priest was not allowed by God to carry in any sin of any form or would be slain right there by divine judgement and similarly your high priest is not to carry any impurity or diseases into your H of H. This is mostly guaranteed if the high priest lives uprightly and avoids any form of defilement.

I understand what you going through but God's laws are God's laws and I am sure he does not bend it for anyone. Issiah puts God as saying "I talk say make you no worship idols, you no gree. Wahala come gas you dey call my name. Fa fa fa foul". Meaning you can't live in sin and expect grace to abound.

Apostle paul said

1Co 7:1 Now concerning what you wrote to me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
1Co 7:2 But, because of the fornications, let each have his own wife, and let each have her own husband.
1Co 7:3 Let the husband give to the wife proper kindness, and likewise the wife also to the husband.
1Co 7:4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband. And likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife.
1Co 7:5 Do not deprive one another, unless it is with consent for a time, so that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer. And come together again so that Satan does not tempt you for your incontinence.
1Co 7:6 But I speak this according to permission, not according to commandment.
1Co 7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself am. But each has his proper gift from God, one according to this manner and another according to that.
1Co 7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and the widows, It is good for them if they remain even as I.
1Co 7:9 But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn.
Plain and simple. Konji levels get married and do the do wella. Imagine telling your ceremoniusly ordained High Priest that you love sex. Would he lower his esteem for you or hearing that would turn him on aand make him thank his stars that all izz well. The right question for the right person. Abegi just make the wait even though things could be though if you have tasted before.

Managing the pressure

Avoid passionate moments or places (na from kiss e dey start), keep off porn, take cold showers if turned on, avoid idleness (channel your excess energy to getting plans done) and pray.

Be honest with yourself to undergo this therapy as if indeed you are a lover of God, you would desire to make him proud of you and your dealings.

P.S When the right time comes make sure you perform up to expectation and express yourself to the fullest. Cheers

Wishing you well my dear - Teemy

@Elli-dude I really appreciate your courage especially in a state of no monitoring by peering eyes and no one else knowing but yet you were able to make a stand and do the right thing. Sin is pleasurable and will certainly stare us all straight in the eyes at one point after the other but to decide to not go through is where the real strenght of a man lies.

PoliticsRe: Globacom Devices New Method Of Scamming Nigerians Of Funds by teemy(op):
The Update

Hi all, several months ago I started this thread based on what I perceived as Globacom intentionally scheming on a scam that would reduce subscribers' call credit without their permission. Now the juice got juicier.

I have kept necessary text messages till when the case gets to litigation levels.

Last October 30th 2013, I loaded a N100 recharge card so it was not hard to observe a N25 deduction (STOCKS again). I was put on a 7 day free subscription before then and every attempt to unsubscribe as adviced by the free subscription (text STOP to 32300) kept bouncing back. I called customer care and and a ticket was raised and I was told it would be resolved with my funds reverted. I later got a Glocustcare text that it was resolved.

Next 2 days, I observed another N45 deduction this time for LOVE alerts(a history on LOVE alerts while dating my wife in back 2010 had my account debited N90/2weeks instead of the normal N45/2weeks. A further confirmation was I had to call customer care twice and it was unsubscribed both timesindicating I was on the subscription list twice).

Take Note that none of these deductions (N25 and N45) gave an Automatic Customer Notification (ACN) to let me know how much was deducted and for what and when it was deducted. I had to check my balance to know this. I also requested my number removed from all future promos alerts. A period of 48hrs was given as the solution time for the issues raised.

The Customer Care IDs

GLO1005204147 VAS activated without intent (said to be resolved. I still got alerts after then but has stopped when there was no funds on the line to renew the subscription)

GLO1006070907 VAS activated without intent

GLO1006070920 Bulk SMS from Glo not required

From the first and second IDs it is obvious it was a continous complaint from customers enough to generate its own profile name 'VAS activated without intent'. The third ID 'Bulk SMS from Glo not required' suggests there is a mailing list from Glo that has its customers' numbers on it and that is why they will keep on getting disturbing promo notifications unless necessary force is applied. Thus far my number is still on the list.

It would of course be unwise of me in the first case to subscribe for alerts like the STOCKS and LOVE alerts that I had reason to complain about in the past (Aug 2013 and early 2010 respectively) by it seems this network just won't listen as I observed other networks are doing same. My wife felt it must have been an overslight from my end while trying to defend Glo but when it happened to her about two weeks ago she was like !@#$%^&*. I couldn't help but laugh in taiwanese.

Customer care respondents I have called include Emmanuel, Modupe, Chidinma, Lovelin, Lade, Funke (I guess a supervisor). After a while they stopped giving me the Customer Request ID which was mandated by NCC by Networks to provide upon request. I actually put it in question 'Are you telling me Globacom Nigeria does not provide the Customer Request ID to its customers?' I got a 'Yes!'.

Furthermore, they began claiming they cannot tell me what subscription(s) I am on and can only attend to me only on what I have a complaint about as they cannot see it from their end forgetting that way back in 2010 they could. I am not against Globacom as a company as I believe in patronizing indigenous businesses but I will not stand being cheated over my own property especially when I have the power to make a change

Personal Solutions

1. Stopped loading recharge cards on my Glo line but rather on the one that gives me credit on calls received
2. As most networks charge roughly same amount/call, calls are made to alternative lines that are not Glo lines
3. Working towards porting as most calls are to my Glo number
4. Aiming for suing Glo for unethical business practices of credit deduction and spamming and claiming damages well over my N70 as there was a juge breach of trust by my service provider that made me lose money an act tantamount to stealing.
The NCC approach of fining them definately has not made the networks recant as they can make much more than the fines by further scamming.

You can make your statement by saying No More in a way that would be heard.

Cheers y'all and havve a Great 2014

Sir Seun,

while I appreciate your contineous effort to make Nairaland a better place, I do request for 2 things which are:

1 ability to see people who like a particular post. Let it be visible to the public, - The list could be too long

2. Ability to see people who view my profile. - The list could be too long

Thank you.
Seun: 1. No.

2. Why?
An alternative could be 'Number of people who viewed my profile'.

People hurt us and we have also hurt others as well either intententionally or without conscious efforts by words or actions.

Here on nairaland it is more by written text and more predominantly done in the Politics and Religion Sections. Someone(s) could have directly/indirectly made a comment that is rude or demeaning or silently insulting and our natural man instincts are to respond adequately and precisely by delivering a few pieces of our minds.

An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth will leave us all blind and toothless. Irrespective of the justification, it is time to bury the hatchet and start relations afresh and this time ignore/overlook text bombs as we aspire to pass on our position in debates professionally without igniting conflicts.

However, an unreserved apology to freshen things up would not be out of place as you pass on the palm wine of friendship and eraze old scores. Ego and hurt atimes makes this a hard thing to do but let us use this thread as an avenue to make the Naira Land a better professional forum as we all live as peacekeepers.
