The problem is the Frankfurt leg of the trip. I would avoid anything with a Schenghen territory leg if I can not get a written confirmation from the airline.

This is quite funny, a written confirmation from an airline in lieu of a transit visa, we joke too much around here fa.

Maybe the applications you were doing were student visas. Please don’t say the wrong thing. ALL SKILLED WORKER DEPENDENTS ABOVE THE AGE OF 18 need a PCC for all countries they have resided in for over 12 months.
Speak to those that work on tales. I do not.
You didn’t submit PCC is on you and not the rules . Like I said, Home office is not a mechanic shop. Rules are rules. If they deny you, you simply appeal and will win based on rules .
It is same rules that have given so many ways to exploit the system to obtain ILR and citizenship.
As long as you can quote the laws and show them legally where they have erred, the case will always be ruled in the applicant’s favour.
There is nothing like tightening.
Any thing they tighten they make sure to go back to update the law on it. They would also announce that the laws have been updated, no matter how trivial it looks but the Secretary of State would be held accountable if this is not done.
As long as maintenance is ticked for the applicant/dependents … they do not need to provide any additional bank statements. If the ECO denies you, please and please appeal, and send officers complaints. An Entry Clearance Manager would also handle the case and it would continue to go high up until you are satisfied. You can reach courts too to get justice. This system works.
You will be vindicated and hugely apologised to.
You guys should try and speak on what you know.
Shalom

You're absolutely on point. I once argued here that PCC is not needed by dependant and I was pointed to where it was clearly stated in the rule and I had to withdraw my erroneous view.

The issue here is, is the poser already aware he might be asked for POF, I'm just wondering how he's able to provide the requested POF already held for 28days when he was asked to produce same within 10 working day, a big question if i may ask

Your woman is already going to the extreme.

If you can cope without seeing your son forever and also kiss UK goodbye forever then you can let it slide but if otherwise. Act immediately....

That woman does not mean well for you, that's just the real fact.

It's always wise hearing from the other side before reaching a conclusion

Something doesnt quite appear as they seems until you take a closer observation.

Good morning all, please I have some questions for my brother. I'll appreciate answers from gurus wey sabi

1. He's in the UK already on Tier 4 but now wants to bring his wife over, does my brother need Police Clearance Certificate as the wife is coming in on a Tier 2 visa and he wants to switch to being her dependent.

2. I heard there's a new IOM link for UK applicants. If so, can I have the link please.

3. Can someone do PCC in absentia. My brother's wife is heavy and can't travel to Lagos or Abuja for it

3. PCC can't be done in absential but I think you can go for the finger printing at the Police headquarters in your state, they'll forward it to he force headquarters.

Good day everyone.
Please which of the processes can I begin with for the care worker option before my passport is ready?
I learnt many of the processes can't be done without the international passport.

Please reply ASAP.

Thanks.

Practically none, except you needed to provide maintenance then you can hold in the money in the or the required 28days.

PCC - Passport Number required

Test of English - passport required for identification

TB - Passport required

So none.

Yes your wife needs PCC...

This is quite misleading, how does a dependant needed a PCC before making an application, when she's not the main applicant. You may need to throw more light on this or it is just your own wishful thinking.

U have two options.....
Its a honest mistake...with your passport data page they will likely notice if the date and month is correct.....so leave it....

Second option...withdraw your apllocation and resubmit it....but u have to pay another money...and wait for refund....

choice is yours

Haba to withdraw a whole application simply because of a genuine error on date of birth that's like killing a mesquite with an hammer. I think there's a way they can be contacted via mail to explain the situation.

How long does it take to retrieve passport ?

Nobody can really tell you how long it might take, any suggestion is mere speculation, everything seems to be currently upside down with UKVI.

But, just be hopeful you mighy even get your Visa before your expected travel date.

Am so frustrated and depressed right now, 11th week after biometrics, 9th week after decision has been made, several paid mails, 1 paid call, escalation has been done, 10working days after escalation elapsed yesterday, yet no collection mail, application still at DMC, am just confused. I applied for dependent visa. @duchess please help, this is really affecting me seriously and really eating me up.

Just a little advise here, you shouldn't take their word for it when they informed you a decision had been made, I have seen several cases where they informed the applicants via mail enquiry that a decision had been made and a subsequent mail said otherwise. It is most likely you were told a lie that a decision had been made.

Transfer from DMC to VAC doesn't have to take even 2 weeks, just keep hope alive, even though it tarries it would surely come

Relax and dont allow them get you frustrated, they're currently completely overwhelmed themselves.

Gurus in the house ,Pls help me to explain this message that I received from ukvi this morning about my visa application status ....

Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.

With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application *********** I can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision.

We have escalated your case to the relevant department on 09-09-2022 and you should be contacted within 15 working days. Please wait until the 15 working days have passed before contacting the service again as we are unable to do anything further before this time.

We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.

Someone already explained in a liberal term but wait let me explain in literal term :

Your application is awaiting a decision, stop disturbing us. If you contact us before 21 days (15 business days) we would not respond to you. If you didn't get a pick up mail in 21 days which we can't guarantee, You can send us another mail at your own expense to tell you another tale by moonlight.

At the end of the day, the pick up mail will only arrive at it's own suitable time and date it's not influenced by your several paid mails and calls.

Finally, we are not going to be responsible for any loss, if you chose to purchase your ticket before you're asked to pick your documents.

QED.

Please help! I applied for UK Visitors Visa last month, and went for biometrics in the 25th July, 2022. Unfortunately, as I speak the UKVI has not taken decision on my application. However, I need to use my passport this Friday,
2nd September ,2022 for travelling to Czech Republic
What I Done so Far?
1. Send a paid email to UKVI contact ,explaining to them about my situation ,urging them to take quick action

2. Visited TLS office in VI to submit a withdrawal form because at this point I don't care the visa, all I care about is getting back my passport
3. Visited the UK Consulate in Walter Carrington VI, but the security guys at the Consulate would not let me in nor ready to assist.

What is at Stake
1. if I don't fly with my current ticket on the 2nd September 2022, I may have to pay over a million naira for Flight ticket to Prague for days starting from 5th of September,2022.
2. I must be in Czech Republic latest 10th of September to enroll for my studies else I may have issue with my admission.

Please guru in the house, please help me.

Sorry about the very tight and precarious situation you're in, but seriously you did yourself in, except you've either not been following the trends about how applications are getting unusually long delays, or probably giving the benefits of the doubt, your plan visit to the Czech Republic wasn't anticipated when you applied for the UK Visa.

It is what it is, only a miracle would get your passport out before the 2nd of September. In any case what God cannot do does not exist.

Keep hope alive.

Good morning everyone. My husband lives in the Uk I recently got a six months visa which is to expire 11th January 2023. I’m applying for spousal visa through an immigration lawyer in the Uk so I’m coming back to Nigeria for it. Now my question is This,I left Nigeria July 29th and I’m to return 29th August because during the application I told the home office I’m staying for a month, now my return date has passed and I’m going back to Nigeria September 16th will it affect my spousal visa application My six months visa was issued 11th July and will expire 11th January 2023.

This doesn't have any singular effect whatsoever
on your next application. Plans can always change and you're still within your legal stay period. You're damn too good to go. Nothing to worry about.

Hi guys, good morning. I need your help I applied for a standard 2 years uk visit visa in June and got a refusal mail today 30th of august 2022. The content of d mail is not in any way related to me. My first passport was gotten in 2010 and my first 6 month visa to uk was in 2010. I also did my masters in uk in 2012 then I had a 2 years student visa. After d expiration of my student 2 years visa I also got another 2 years visiting visa in 2014. I have been in Nigeria since then. I applied for a 2 years visit visa now and was refused. In 2008 I was still an undergraduate not even gotten a Nigerian passport not to talk of a uk visa. I have never been deported nor had any criminal conviction both in uk and Nigeria, I don’t drive not to talk of driving license. I have never been banned nor seek asylum. I think there is a mix up with some other person’s application. Pls how do I sort this out what are my options. I will attach a copy of d refusal

They seems to be thoroughly confused in that place at the moment (DMC)

If you're absolutely sure, this doesn't apply to you my advise is to get a good solicitor to write them a stinker.

Don't wait, act fast otherwise, they wanna hang 10yrs ban on you.

Good afternoon everyone,

i just want you all to know this is the most informative and self explanatory community as regards tier 4 visa, i used this platform when i wanted to start my process in 2021, we Got our visa and travelled, in 2022 my sister and her family (Family of 6), i just dropped their Visa alert about 2 weeks ago, May God bless every one that contributes to each others growth in here. @duchess and @justwise amongst others i did not mention Thank you all, only God can reward you.

I am facing one major challenge as regards My sisters application, 5 members of the Family already Got their visas delivered to them, The last Baby of the House visa Passport is yet to leave DMC, After a paid mail decision was said to have been taken,

The whole family is due to travel Sept 10, The 7 year old boy can not be left in Nigeria because the whole family are traveling together.

An escalation paid mail was sent on 23 of August, but The replied n 25th of August that the issue has been escalated and we should not get back to them until after 15 working days.

Pls has anyone had this issue in the past, How were you able to quickly resolve it, or any suggestion on how to Go about it?

They apparently don't do no escalation. They only use it to buy time, you'll only be lucky if you received it before the 15 business days timrline given.

They're already messed up, adieu to the old British efficiency we had always known.

I pray with you it get sorted asap.

I have done that since on the 15th and a followup day 3 days ago.

Or is this sitel enquiry diiferent

It has really been so unfortunate, just hard for a person to sit back and not make any effort. But seriously their responses to enquiry mails has been seriously generic and not independent case situations.

Just read about a guy who sent them mails 3 different times, the first 2 times they replied "A decision has been made and should expect a collection mail" after a long wait sent another mail (3rd mail) and guess the response this time around "His application is under consideration and awaiting a decision"

Only God knows the kind of confusion currently going on at the various Visa Centers"

We keep hoping for the best though

This is absolutely irrelevant, it's the function of TLS to do the copy of the passport, the more reason no column is created for passport copy on the upload button.

Don't disturb yourself, there's has been several people who never bothered and were neither requested to do that nor end up having issue because of that. Qed.

Good morning everyone.

An agent sent me this message I pasted below. Do you think it's genuine? Can an agent get Caregiver job from Nigeria?

it's a 2months process.

The first stage: is a certificate. That’s getting the caregiver certificate that’s what you are paying for

Second stage: job offer.

Third stage. CV and Cover letter.

Fourth stage: certificate of sponsorship.

Fifth stage:
TB / Police clearance certificate.
Covid vaccination evidence card.

Sixth stage :Then go to vi for biometric and drop your passport.

Their visa fee and biometric, TB is on them.

Visa is is 133k
Tb is 57 for adult
Children 0-11 23k

Individual 3m

Family 5m

Deposit 700k

£2000 monthly salary normal work hour

Standard work hour is 9 hours daily

Comes with one month accommodation and flight for the principal applicant

Visa is 5 years, 2years probation that is to check how capable on the job

First come first served, few slots left. You’ll pay for your visa fee, Tuberculoses test, police character and that of your family if you’re going with family as well.

Have your transcripts ready which will be used in processing your NARIC and you will be making a payment of 140 pounds for NARIC and that is not covered in the 3m or 5m, you will be paying to NARIC but if you don't have transcripts, then you'll write IELTS exam.

Be informed that only the principal applicant gets flight ticket covered, certificate of sponsorship, caregiver certificate, job and one month accommodation as with the 5m family package but if you're applying as an individual you get all these covered in the 3m, the dependents of family package only get access to the visa and the husband can get a job on his own when he gets there.
You will be providing your police character clearance, CV and cover letter yourself but if you need help with the CV and cover letter, I have a contact who charges 7k to write it for you.

The payment doesn't cover your visa fee and TB test, you are to pay for that separately

Yes an agent can actually help you get all that was mentioned.

However, do your own due diligence, to be sure you're dealing with a genuine agent, the onus is on you don't say somebody here certified the agent.

No no, do your own research to be absolutely sure you're dealing with the right contact.

One last thing, the agent seems to be outdated, there's no body bearing NARIC again but ECCTIS.

Regards.
