Rugaria:Once Russia attacks Estonia, article 5 of NATO is activated. All NATO countries resources will be channelled to defend Estonia. A full military war? Maybe not, but Russian troops will be routed in Estonia and deeper as needed. It will be a defensive stance at first, but If they still continue agressions, then NATO will go on offensive. And trust when I say the US will not hold back. |
DoggoneDogg:See this dictator loving misery. Everyone that knows his onions in world politics knew that Putin would enter Ukraine. Tell your dictator Lord make e try am na. Hell will rain on him. Even, make NATO just admit Ukraine today, watch as Putin will pack up and leave Ukraine immediately. It is you and your likes of Nigerian novices that shift the goal post. You know nothing about how things work, but you are the loudest. Supporting nonsense at home and abroad. Look below, it is the stance of you and your likes last month. Knowing nothing but pushing out your foolish thoughts. They Look at my reply. And now you and your likes are bringing up these new narratives. If NATO was as war hungry as your dictator, they would have faced him head on and defeated him.

If this missile or any bullet make mistake land for NATO country, then Putin go know say na from clap dance dey start. |
Imagine one Malami, minister at say 55, loot the federation for 8 years, move to governorship, enjoy immunity and continue looting for another 8 years, then moved the the Senate and continue looting for another 8 years with immunity. Finally retire at 79 to 80 years. A life well spent looting the Federation legally. |
Fulani dey use una play 10 10 |
Nigerian politics for you. The dictates of the constitution is bastardized by all and sundry. The last hope for the country is free and fair elections |
In as much as Emefiele should ideally be arrested and charged, it is definitely not over this. But he should honour a legal invitation. |
Where are the 17 structures? You've shown the renovated school |
Projects that Malami channelled all recovered loot, Abacha loot, loans etc and most are still tolled. Granted that Buhari admin completed these projects that were stalled by previous admin, While China were being funded to complete these projects, what other projects have been initiated or funded for concurrent growth? |
Mariangeles:You said our soups are easy to make. I wanted to know generally examples of hard to make soups. |
These people lied to Nigerians about change, got in there and used our resources to settle themselves. Nigerians suffering the economic consequences are still prepping them for 2023 |
Mariangeles:This one you are engaging hope I won't end up ranting. Pray tell, Which ones are the hardest? |
pocohantas:Wahala, so it is now rants. And women have the monopoly to "rant". I've stopped ranting oh. Peace also to the man in your life. |
Mariangeles:Which soups are hard to make? I dare say none. But if I am to prepare say ewedu which is not native to me, I know for sure I'll need a Yoruba person to critique my final product and I'll take the input going forward. |
pocohantas:The tiny stems is not the issue. The softer water leaf stems is normally added when chopped to increase the volume of the soup or if the water leaf is not enough. It is common practice. A well cut and pounded afang leave, you won't see the leaf floating around the pot. It will have a good fine consistency. It's only the water leaf that should be floating around - but still finely chopped Also with sharing my recipe, there's nothing wrong with your recipe. The only thing I would have added is crayfish. It's only the ratio and the quality of the prepared afang I have problem with. Then again, I understand that it might not be produced where you are and it's not like in Akwa cross where you can get is freshly cut and grinded perfectly in the market. Kudos. |
pocohantas:Well I won't start bragging about my cooking. I am an Akwa Ibom man that used to cook at home even with 3 grown sisters. I am trying to point out the tiny details in the art of cooking afang soup that makes the soup come out great. This is not a thing of knowing how to cook or not, it is what people that have been doing this for long have learnt about the process. |
pocohantas:Funny enough I didn't see a good picture of the final product on Google. Mostly floating afang leaves. But this pot, caught my eye. Looks good. My pictures is to show how the food should look like during the process. The perfect afang soup takes time to prepare especially when slicing the leaves. If sliced well, pounding it or using the hand grinder (I don't know of blending) gives it a good consistency for the final mix.
|
pocohantas:The insolence to even think that you can cook the food more than those that invented it. Let me go online and get picture of what premium afang looks like. Then you compare. Maybe I see why, the afang in your picture isn't fresh. I am not Efik or Ibibio, but im an offshoot of Ibibio. I'm just hearing from you that we don't use unshelled periwinkle. My three decades of being born and living in Akwa ibom and visiting Calabar, I've not heard such. So the pictures below. To get best results, 2. thats what a finely sliced afang looks like. 1. And also a fresh and finely pounded afang. 3. Then that is how to chop your waterleaf to get the best result. Your afang ratio to waterleaf as with the picture you posted is poor.
|
pocohantas:No be fight. I can see the final product and can tell. Any Ibibio/Efik person will tell. Good try though. |
pocohantas:Someone rightfully graded you 6/10. Chop the waterleaf better next time. Add more afang leave and make sure it is grinded or pounded after being cut (there is a special folding and cutting technique.) Also it isn't sacrilege to use unshelled periwinkle. The only soup I can think of that there is slight affinity to shelled periwinkle is okro. |
Where is the afang leave? |
Elections don reach. Stipends for 8 years of suffering. They'll bring back trader moni and others |
Dear CSOs and Nigerians planning to protest peacefully, Technically Buhari has 30 days legally. If he signs INEC will only shift elections for few days to account for the provisions of the new law. Go ahead with the peaceful protests if you will, it is a constitutional right. But save the best of the protests for after 30 days. The body language of Buhari and his cabal shows that they do not want the best for the country and will not sign the bill. The way they speedily signed the finance bill, the NNPC bill and then claimed that faulty parts can be reworked, they should have done it it this important bill if they were serious. I strongly believe they are planning to reject the bill. Let the upcoming protest be like a warning and start preparing for the bigger one which should be a protest to veto the bill. |

Omenkalives, Helinues and co resident nairaland zombies will be found here. I was searching for them in the last Benue thread to no avail. I sometimes wonder if it is a fulltime job. |
Iyaebe:With serious illicit funds comes serious ability |
Nigerians do well to ensure that the electoral bill is signed. If you have to hit the streets, do so. |
Nigerians are not ready. If they had marched to the National Assembly when the bill was returned to demand speedy action, The figure head president, instead of waiting for the cabal who are hoping to keep their rigging options open, he would have done whats good for the country and signed the law. The worst thing is that the National Assembly that has all the power to veto the bill and bring it to law will be subservient to the old man who has nothing to gain or lose if the electoral process is strengthened. Thereby joining in working against Nigeria and strengthening the vicious cabal for the future. Nigerians actually empower these people by their inaction. The makers of the constitution inserted peaceful protests as the last resolve for the people when their interests is not being served by their government. If we do not activate it in this scenario, then get ready for another 8 years of backwardness. |
Modified stories and changing narratives. NDLEA would only go online to declare him wanted probably because the police as stalling the process. The police seeing that it was in public domain rushed to release their own statement and only then arrested and handed him over. But this writer makes it seem as if it was all planned between NDLEA and the police. |
This is serious. Is this the IRT militia fighting back |
As he has died, he is now the poster boy. The accomplices are not even mentioned. Shame on EFCC for not mentioning names. But they can break into houses, take laptops as evidence and parade innocent people on camera as Yahoo boys. The military that should be disciplined, and its members should ideally think thrice before embezzling money is used as a cash cow by those at the top. Pathetic. |
