My boyfriend did something that up till now I’m still in shock because I don’t understand why he did that and the motive behind it.

I went to visit my boyfriend last week and just when I was about to leave he started shouting that he couldn’t find his second phone, I was surprised because he usually keep this particular phone on charge he doesn’t go anywhere with it and I saw it where he usually keep it when I arrived three hours earlier, I told him we should call the phone maybe it fell somewhere but he said there’s no sim/network on the phone. So we started searching for the phone.

I was confused because none of us had been out of the house since I came and he didn’t receive any visitor, we searched under the bed, under the chair, scattered wardrobe everywhere! I became tired and went to sit and just looking, I don’t understand what’s happening, it was when I saw him going to check kitchen cabinet, trash bins and inside toilet that’s when I started suspecting something fishy, then he came back and told me to check my bag, I couldn’t believe it, anyways I checked my bag and nothing was there, then he said maybe it’s in his car outside I said it’s not possible because I saw the phone myself when I came where he usually keep it. I said we can check the car but I’m not leaving until we find the phone.

We checked the car outside it wasn’t there so we came back inside and he brought out his laptop and did something on it because it’s an iPhone and the phone started vibrating from inside the chair he was sitting. Firstly that’s the chair that he had been sitting throughout that day I never sat on the chair or even go close to that particular chair that day, secondly the way he dipped his hands into the chair to bring it out shows the phone didn’t fall there it was intentionally put there becuase it’s a leather chair so it’s very tight and firm there’s no a way a phone can fall inside it, even if you sit on the phone it can’t go all the way in like the way he had to dipped his hand to bring it out. And when we were searching the whole house he kept saying “This kind of thing has never happened in this house before , even asked me to search my bag”.

I left that day and he didn’t apologize for the embarrassment, but what’s puzzling me is that why would someone intentionally hide their phone and make us to be searching for it? Turning the whole house upside down? Searching kitchen and even toilet , asking me to search my bag and you know exactly where this phone is! I noticed when we wanted to go search the car he took some minutes before coming out because I went out before him and was waiting by the car. What’s the motive behind this ? Why would he do this? I haven’t spoken to him since then. He had done all sort of things to me that I keep forgiving, from verbally insulting me to calling me another woman’s name, but this is it!, I’m done!. I have never been insulted like this before, I just want to know why someone will do this, just for the sake of future relationship /friendship.
