RomanceRe: Wat The Best Way To Propose To Your Girlfriend?(i Need It) by tete(f): 5:57pm On Aug 06, 2007
My Guy, just tell her u love her and you want to spend the rest of your life with her. If u want to put some romance into it you could take her out say on a saturday, whenever you know you'll have a lot of time to spare, spend time with her doing the things you love to do toghether, then end the day with a nice dinner and then pop the question.

This is just one way, but i'm sure whichever way you choose to do it she'll be thrilled. Good luck Man wink cheesy grin

@Obanikoro

So sorry for your loss. God will definitely give you and your family the strenght to bear the loss of your brother. You are in my prayers.

There is something I believe in and know is very true and would like to share with you all. its THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING. When we ask God for something we should always believe that he will give us whatever we ask for in accordance with what he knows is best for us. Sometimes, i know, its tough. You think can He do it, or will He do it, or oooooo! why hasn't He done it. But if you just believe, have faith and be absolutely positive already seeing what you want or visualzing it, it will become yours according to God's will.

So Guys, BE POSITIVE and always remember that God's Got your back wink

hot-angel:
It's perfectly alright to notice changes in your partner. But the way you sound (i mean write), doesn't show that you Love your woman. Imagine "She keeps growing fatter and fatter". I still feel the urge to say that Thunder should fire your mouth, but I won't do that!

Now listen. . . If you "love" this woman as you claim to love her, you can talk to her as lovers do. Talk to her with all the love you have for her showing in your eyes, and tell her that you feel she's gaining weight. Hell!! ask her if it's all the preparation for the wedding that is getting to her.
Tell her you could work out with her, because you also want to be in top shape, so that you'll have enough strength to carry her on your wedding day.

THAT alone, would make her reason with you, and want to lose some weight. You'll say it in a way that doesn't make her feel embarrassed!

Don't go about telling people to "HELP!!!! because your wife-to-be is Overwieght"! What the blip?!
Right on Sister

@Ajengogo
Broda it's not a big problem. I'm assuming your girl has always had extra flesh so you must have know that she had the tendency to get even bigger. The question is why does it bother you? is it 'cause of her health or 'cause you're embarassed?

If its the former then you can gently encourage her to work on her weight, you can assit her by joining a gym and exercising toghether. Walking is a very good form of exersice that tones down the body from head to toe, alot of people don't know this, so you guys can take long walks toghether you know.

If its the latter then you should really examine your feelings for this Angel of yours. I mean man, real love is all encompassing smiley

i'v not been to the net for a while now. I'll definitely add all the prayer requests to my prayer list.

A friend of mine just lost her husband. He was to undergo surgery. Anesthesia was administered to him and he never woke up. He was young and they have a child (about 2yrs old). I is really difficult for her to bear, infact she has refused to cry because she is in denial

Please pray for her that God will help her get through it all. Thanks all

Hey, this is a good one cheesy

I think its a brilliant idea. We communicate with God through prayers and the more people asking papa God for something on behalf of someone else, the faster God answers the prayers according to his will provided we allow him too.

This is definitely a good one. I know i'm in.

with love all things 'should' be possible but in reality love in a relationship or marriage is  never enough to make it work. It takes a lot of sacrifice and hard work in general. If this guy in question loves his girlfriend its a good start because with love comes patience(this should be the case).

Now the question is, is this a big issue with him? if it is then he should let his girlfriend know how he feels about it and then encourage her to learn and trust me if his girl loves him,is level headed, down-to-earth, family oriented she'd definitely give it her best shot. Otherwise it will be obvious that they are going to have some serious compatibility issues which will definitely affect the relationship negatively and might even lead to the end of it and in that case it will become necessary for him to make some tough choices.

I personally believe it is a thing of pride apart from it being part of her duties, for a woman to make meals for her family, children and husband included. As a woman its one of the things that u grow to enjoy. I don't expect my husband to cook half of the time while I cook the other half but if indeed he decides to cook at all i will find it extremely romantic and thoughtful.

Ladies lets not deceive ourselves, whatever we read in books or watch on tv is not reality. The truth of the matter is that for those ladies out there who intend to get married and make their marriages work, they should be ready to make a lot of compromises(which is also expected of the men) and if you are of the opinion that cooking should be 50-50 then,

RomanceRe: Pay Back Period! by tete(f): 6:01pm On Jun 07, 2007
$ammy

The truth of the matter is that any girl that will stand with you when you have nothing is the kind of girl that will stand with u through thick and thin, with or without money.

Trust me, she's only interested in you 'cause you're a 'big boy' now and the reality is that most Nigerian girls are after ready! ready!! ready!!! made men. Think about it, do you think she would have gone through any trouble to get your number if you weren't were you are today?

I suggest you forget about paying her back, shagging her, leading her on, testing her or whatever it's not worth it man Instead forgive whatever hurts she must have caused you and move on, find yourself someone who will love and appreciate you for you. wink
FoodRe: Nigerian Recipes by tete(f): 4:48pm On Jun 06, 2007
Common alum is the double sulphate of aluminium and potassium. It is white, transparent, very astringent(from google)
Its also commonly used here to wash snails, it removes all the slime.

The ALUM is used to coagulate the milk i.e make it come toghether to form a solid substance.

I don't know of any substitute for alum, but there probably is. I 'll see if i can find something. You could try searching too.

@gmcln

Tofu known as Awara in these parts

Ingredients:

5cups soya beans (soybeans)
water(use ur descretion)
Alum(the size of two cubes of suger put toghether)

Method:

1. Soak the beans until twice in size

2. Wash beans to remove back or husk

3. Grind beans into very smooth paste

4. Put enough water into paste mixture to water it down

5. Use a fine cloth seive to separate the milk from the shaft

6. put the liquid in a pot and put on a fire

7. when liquid begins to boil, drop the alum into the pot

8. leave to boil until the milk begins to curddle forming thick white sediments

9. when sedimentation is complete remove from fire and pour into the cloth seive, separating the sediments from the water.

10. Tie up sediments in cloth seive and allow to stay untill most or all the water drains out.

11. Remove cake that forms afterwards and refrigerate to store.

Awara is a very rich healthy source of protein and i read some where that it is especially very good for men because it reduces their chances of getting prostrate cancer. It can be used in various ways -  as meat in your stews of soups, it can be spiced and fried to be eaten plain.
RomanceHey Guys: What's The Deal? by tete(op): 5:09pm On Jun 04, 2007
Okay, this is really beyond my understanding so may be someone out there can help me out

Guy comes up to you, tells u he really likes you, would love to have a deep meaningful relationship with you, blah! blah!! blah!!!

This definitely will make any single girl feel good especially if the dude is just right by her standards.

Then he just lets it slip by that he's actually in a "dying" relationship meaning:

1. no compatibility
2. No Mutual respect
3. loss of love and feeling
4. blah! blah!! blah!!!

Now at this point the girl is s'posed to be grateful that she's all the things the other girl in his life is not and fly straight int his arms, and when this does not happen he then says "may be i should'nt have told you the truth". Now at this point he believes he's telling you the truth and so he says all sorts of bad things about he's girlfriend just to get get you. I'm of the opinion that 99.9% of the time the guys are lying. The sad thing is that because of the number of desperate single girls out there 99.9% of the time its touch down for them. The question is why do they do they have to go so low. huh

What do you think

FoodRe: Making A Very Fluffy Cake? by tete(f): 11:57am On Mar 19, 2007
Hi. Making a very fluffy cake all depends on the recipe you are working with. We have basically three kinds of cakes, Sponge, Plain and Fruit cakes. A variation of cakes can come out out of these three basic cakes.

Back to ur question. Making a very fluffy cake would mean ur either working with a sponge or plain cake recipie and since you are working with an electric mixer this should be a piece of cake if catch my drift.

Just make sure u beat ur fat and sugar toghether until light and almost white in colour, add ur eggs and beat again for a while before adding the flour. Try this victoria sponge recipe out

500gms fat
500gms sugar
500gms Flour
8 eggs
4 tbsps baking powder
Flavouring

Enjoy ur baking wink
