Being assaulted in anyway is not an easy experience to have. It keeps looming at the assaulted individual from every angle and really never goes away. For your girl to have confided in you only means that she trusts you and feels safe with you and as much as possible wants no secrets between you two. Please do not be negative about this, appreciate her for this effort and give her all the love and support that she needs

It depends on the couple involved. They may decide to start off early or late depending on what they feel will work for them. I personally believe in starting off early. I will rather have my children early and get that aspect of life over and done with than drag the whole process.

Masa is a wonderful meal.

Recipie for fura

millet
Dry ginger
Some pepper
Cloves

Soak the millet over night (this will make it soft and ferment it)
Wash millet, and then remove the husk (the back, this can be done by adding a little water to the millet in a morter and using the pestle to rub against the millet. Do not pound).
When this is done, dry the millet.
Add the dry ginger, pepper and cloves (use your descretion to add these ingredients, should'nt be too spicey)and blend toghether until smooth.
Mix 3/4 of the dry mix with water until a thick paste is formed.
Roll the paste into medium sized balls and cook in water.
When the balls change colour competely to dark grey, remove from fire and strain the water.
Put cooked balls in a morter and pound toghether  adding a little water.
Roll the paste into balls again and toss into the remaining 1/4 of the dry mix.

Fura is usually taken with Yogurt, but in the north its taken with local yogurt called kundirimo

Mash the balls in a bowl and mix with sugar and yogurt and voila! your fura is ready, enjoy

I had two actually_{not at the same time}. One my classmate and friend in secondary school, the other my brothers friend. Thank God I was the shy and quite type then so i never even considerered doing anything about it and I don't regret that choice. The feelings faded eventually. I would definitely relive those moments if it was possible it was all part of the fun of growing up

Love is blind, marriage is an eye opener. My dear take it easy okay, no need to be upset with your parents. I think you and your guy should take a break to analize the situation_{it aint over till its over} . God alone know why your parents have decided not to like your guy but if your guy loves u as much as he claims then he will be willing to do whatever it takes to prove to your parents that he really does love you and is ready to take care of you for the rest of your lives. This of course will require a lot of patience and tolerance from both of you. Most importantly though, pray about it relentlessly and if at the end of the day you guys end up apart for real, take it from me it's not the worst that could happen to you. You are still very young and you will definitely meet someone else that will love, respect and cherish, maybe even more than he does presently.

I think it all depends on the individuals involved and their commitment to the relationship. It definitely does not help if one is commited and the other is not. Even when you're both in the same country but in different states, it can be strenous and tiresome not to talk of being in different countries.

For some it has not been a hinderance, others just fall apart, for me its a definite no no except God has other plans for me.

I get called aje butter all the time and i'm based at home and u know what, it used to bother me a lot and i would always try to explain myself out but now, i take it as a complement. People call me that because i'm plump with smooth skin and soft palms so they find it quite difficult to believe that i'm capable of doing any sort of work or that i'm able to withstand any form of hardship but the truth of the matter is i'm a hard worker and i've passed through tons of hardships in my short life, it just never shows.

I remember back then in school, you know during the exam period because of the TDB and extra jacking one tends to lose sleep and weight, not that i did not experience any of this but it just never showed on me i was always looking like it was the begining of the semester and i had just come from home.

My point is, try not to be pissed. Take it as a complement instead 'cause i believe it is not in anyway a derogatory term it just simply means you look hale and hearty at all times and i mean is that not waht we all pray for

Aisha have you thought of maybe making your engagement formal. Depending on what part of the country you are from, you could encourage him to do the traditional engagement thing and then go back to complete his Ph.d program after which you guys could get married, what do you think? because abandoning a 5000 pounds Ph.d program and rushing the wedding ceremony doesn't really make sense no doubt you guys must have been toghether for sometime now and must really love and care for each other but when it comes to getting married the two individuals involved have to be, most importantly, emotionally and pshychologically ready. Don't worry too much sha, just keep asking God for guidance and he'll definitely lead you down the right path.

Just read your last post did'nt see it before.You're obviously one confused and messed up guy. Its not too late tough you can still find a way to clean up your act and turn a new leaf.Question is, do you even know or realize that you have a problem Really sad.

I do not support Abortion. To me its only acceptable when the life of the mother is at stake which is not very common. Apart from the fact that it can be likened to murder, it could also affect the woman physically and emotionally.

Still we are all human beings and nobody is above mistakes so i don't think its in anybody's place to judge.

Your girl could have walked away if she really wanted to, she could have decided to damn all consequencies and have your baby if she wanted it that bad, but then again it only takes an individual with strong will and trucks load of courage to do that and believe me when i say most of us- when we find ourselves in such situations-can't come up with either of the two.

My point is your girl was equally a part of this whole thing and as Seun has said, should take full responsibility for her part. The thing is tough, she must have already acknowledged this but as the person who was actually carrying the child, her attachment was stronger and therefore her guilt will be too. Therefore if you love her then you have to be extremely patient with her and hasten your plans to make an honest woman out of her. It aint over till its over so don't give up.
