Rossikk: Terrible analogies. The doctors are doing ok by me. I haven't demanded that they go beyond their duties.. It is the op that's making demands of restaurant owners to go beyond theirs. Question is, how has the op gone the extra mile in his own field, before criticising others?I'd say he's asking why they haven't really evolved much to meet the times and attract new clientele. I'd like to say I appreciate your viewpoints even though we differ significantly and I respect that your arguments have remained very civil even though I have not always shown you such courtesy in the past. I would like to debate you vigorously someday. You present a unique conundrum for me...how one man can so vigorously defend the black race and yet still remain a supporter of this ruinous Federal Government ![]() |
Rossikk: If he is not in the restaurant business then he has no business attacking those who work in that business. Does he know what they go through? How does he know they haven't tried jazzing up fufu and egusi to no avail?I'd love to hear your reaction if your mechanic or plumber tells you to refrain from criticizing his work since you aren't a mechanic. I know i reserve the right to criticize my tailor for a poor bit of work without being told to go and learn how to sew first! Rossikk: So why has he not undertaken any ground breaking research in his field? He is attacking restauranteurs. What has HE done in his own field to stand out?So in your opinion, the thousands of medical doctors in Nigeria are useless and aren't doing a good job since you haven't seen any 'ground breaking research' from them, right? |
If this is what you call 'Cheap', I wonder what kind of insane markup your regular price will have. |
thelonestranger: Most Nigerians living abroad need to be forced to take and pass citizenship exams every year - including the writer of this long piece of crap. In fact any Nigerian traveling abroad ought to be made to take citizenship lessons before leaving the country. This way they won't remain the destructive caterpillars inside of and eating up the vegetable. As a Nigerian living in Nigeria, I make bold to say most Nigerians living in Nigeria ought to take common sense lessons as they are the architects of our collective failure. If we had common sense, there would be no reason why the same party that has ruined Nigeria since 1999 keeps getting voted in. There would be no reason why people would avoid taxes and fail to pay utility bills. There would be no reason why folks are less concerned about leaving a better Nigeria as a legacy for their Children and more concerned about how outsiders perceive them. I laugh at the idea of 'citizenship lessons'. How many good citizens do we have in Nigeria? Even the members of the FG's FEC that travel overseas for medical treatment yet fail to improve our healthcare, what kind of citizens are these? Our fat, corrupt and corpulent Senators, are these the patriots you refer to? The oil bunkerers, the political assassins, the corrupt market women? You are here complaining about patriotism meanwhile since 1999 your democratically elected Government has supervised a severe rot in our educational sector that will mean your Nation will remain a technologically inferior one for decades to come. Hilarious |
ROSSIKE: The poster is a really funny guy. He's obviously in the UK. He's complaining that Africans are ''not innovative enough to recreate their food to attract Europeans''.Why should he 'recreate his food to attract more clientele' if he is not in the restaurant business? For all you know, he could be an Engineer, doctor, lawyer. You remind me of those daft people that always charge critics of politicians to 'go enter Politics if you think it is easy' forgetting that if every Engineer and doctor downs tools and enter Politics, the nation will collapse. Please put more thought into your critiques next time. The OP has a message to pass and I'd say he's done it brilliantly. Unfortunately for you, you never could see the forest for the trees and so instead of focusing on the meat of the matter, you veer off as usual into an inquest on if the OP loves 'oyibo' too much. |
careytommy: @Rossike, you shouldn't have taken the OP to the laundry so quickly. What you should have done was to ask what he has ever done or is presently doing (just one would suffice) to mitigate 'the brazenly obvious ills in our society'.Nice try, but as long as he pays his taxes regularly and obeys the laws of the land, he is doing more than tens of millions of Nigerians who dodge tax and utility bills are doing. |
Why the automatic assumption that all road accidents in Nigeria are caused by bad roads? Bad drivers account for at least half of the deaths on our roads. NYSC has nothing to do with this. Maybe we should abolish marriage since MC Loph was on the way to a wedding when he was killed in an accident. |
I think the most sensible hypothesis is that both the Senju and Uchiha elders die in this battle. I assume that's where Izuna and Madara got their Mangekyou from watching their father die. Or perhaps killing their father? |
Typical Fashola Government. Scehdule a meeting for March 15th and then demolish houses on March 5th. Classic! The Lagos State Government should have headed to court or used an agency to investigate the veracity of the documents held by the landlords. If the Govt claims they were fraudulently obtained from Government officials (note: Govt officials not nameless Area Boys) why are none of these officials being prosecuted? Eko has unfortunately Baje for these sorry Landlords |
LMAO! All GEJ is saying is what he has been parroting for ages. As soon as Boko Haram emerges and decides to negotiate, they will be given a share of the national budget as big as that handed over to the MEND criminals. Perhaps bigger than our Health and Education allocations ![]() There's nothing new to see here, guys. The lamb has still not yet become a lion. |
ayswags: u are daft didnt u read where the op apologized for any typoYou m0r0n. Spelling 'seat' as 'sit' is not a typo. 'e' and 'a' are very far away from the 'i' key on your keyboard. A typo would be if he mistakenly spelled 'sit' as 'sut'. 'boners' was wrongly spelled as 'bonners' no less than 5 times. Take that typo excuse and shove it up your backside. |
Francheezy: w0t 0f BB, B0LD1,2,3,4,5,6There's nothing like Bold 2, 3,4, 5 or 6. |
I'd suggest the OP face his studies squarely. What's up with spelling 'Seat' as 'sit', 'his' as 'he's'? Even 'boners' has been misspelled as 'bonners'. |
aka tonero: Has Nigeria started using it?The article clearly states in its first paragraph that the Z10 has been on sale in Airtel shops in Nigeria. Why kind of brainless question is this? Who has Airtel been selling them to? Aliens? |
gistyinka: You seem to have a serious problem with the past tense of some words. Clean up your act if you want to be taken seriously as a blogger. gistyinka: Both married in the year 2008 |
Dede1: Why Nigerians are barrenly articulate when faced with issues slightly tinted with tribalism? It is not the responsibilities of the traders to cleanup market square. The traders pay taxes, including the environmental fees, to the government. The failure to maintain proper environmental atmosphere at Ladipo Market rests on the shoulders of idiotic Fashola’s government of Lagos State.Next time you get caught by police for driving around during environmental sanitation hours, tell them you pay taxes and see where that excuse lands you. Using your twisted logic, a tax paying company is well within its rights to dump waste material outside in plain sight because 'they pay taxes'. Most of the time, these taxes don't even get anywhere near the Government. |
OkparaIgbo: I see no begging in Uba's statement..Yes, keep polluting 'Ala igbo'. We remember those rubbish piles on the streets of Aba all too well. The Government says they shut the market because of its filthiness. Pictures confirm the market was indescribably filthy. Why not exhort your brothers to clean up the place first and THEN AND ONLY THEN complain if the now-clean market is not re-opened? People like you who will not do the right thing - and who will never exhort others to do the right thing - are part and parcel of the reason why Nigeria is in such a mess. Rubbish. |
Omexonomy: as as how. Dont you think it might be the money 500million naira APC contributed to the BH that they are using to try to distabilse the country.Doyin Okupe, is that you?! |
The way some people argue on Nairaland...if Fashola had led a squad to machine gun all those slum dwellers, we'd have still heard the same inane cries of "Fashola is working" and "Eko o ni baje o" According to these spin doctors, every poor person in Lagos 'needs to go back to their village'. Nonsense. |
spyder880: I have reasons to believe Chime is in Enugu. But newspapers should sell their market, Nigerians need to be kept busy as so much unemployment is in the country. You do realize 'I have reasons to believe' is not a very confident statement? |
Nextworldnx: U think I didn't complain about it then? Even to one of the girls who expressly love her BF, I told her to let me be and Concentrate on her BF at home. But what did she do?Cool story, bro. Now since in the OP you admitted "we all cheated on our partners" why don't you answer your own question on whether 'out of sight means out of mind'. Funny how you and your brother go out of your way to toast girls in buses and then turn around and condemn them once they give you their numbers. |
Billyonaire: Vote GEJ come 2015Nah. This ain't grounds enough to vote back this fellow. We'll kick him out in 2015. |
Francheezy: e n0 g0 seLLFor $180, this is an excellent phone. Android phones at that price range are usually rubbish. |
For all his education, Fashola utters some m0r0nic statements sometimes... |
Anyone who believes this shyte needs their head examined. |
firstonajobi: got BB Z10 for sale @ N120,000MTN's selling for 100K. Airtel for N110k. |
4llerbuntu: mind numbing stuff mehn.I swear down! |
thank u bross this is exactly what i keep telling em..its folishness,y would nokia only limit demselves to creating only one brand of fones, when the likes of samsung and htc creates fones from 2 of the world most knwn os.so they cant be left out of the market, thats business strategy, which nokia is failing to do.. And to add up to the techno brand..that company is part of the top and future smartfone company jst like xiaomi in asia..i must say, kicking out the likes of blackberry and the rigid nokia, their products so far has made a very high sales in africa to the extend..that ppls demand has surpass their actually producting amount, which makes them go into manufacturing of the same product all over again..techno thumbs up!
Your ignorance is stunning. Tecno is a small-time player, making cheap phones for the less discerning folks. Imagine you folks creating a topic about playing 'HD' games on a Tecno n3 that runs like crap compared to any of the Nokia lumia series. You get what you pay for, though. Techno has no chance of being any of the big names in mobile anytime soon. They'll sell to the ultra cheap market, but the margins there are pretty small and no western company has any desire to join them in the ultra-low end battle. Please NEVER compare Xiaomi to Techno. Xiaomi makes quality hardware with excellent build quality and top notch specs..well out of Techno's range.
So back to the issue,HTC is so far the highest and the most wiseable brand ever, being the 1st to create the 1st microsoft and android fones, all within the same year interval, their also extending their resources to sign with the so call LOCKED IOS..lets hope they can archive that, this is what we call market strategy...
Shows how little you know. HTC is in serious trouble, struggling to cope with Samsung. Their profits are dropping seriously and their fans are deserting them. If you ever mention that HTC is making an iOS device (or licensing iOS), I will find you and beat you over the head with a cudgel. |
jst saw it..well thats thier loss..they should continue staying there and continue getting low income, when other brands are going viral,.seems they want to end up like BLACKBERRY
Don't be silly. Apart from Samsung, the likes of HTC, Sony, LG, Motorola are seriously suffering with Android. HTC made only $33m profit last quarter. Nokia has a strategy of differentiating with WP. Choice is good for the average consumer...and Nokia is poised to snatch up a large marketshare from their low cost phones |
ibietela2: I went with NGN 180,000 in my pocket by bus to purchase Blackberry 10 today... Came back on new Bike, with some savings.Don't give up your day job. PS: Blackberry 10 is an OS, not a phone. You can't purchase that |
Please ignore this troll ROSSIKE The thrice accursed m0r0n spends all his time babbling about CIA and conspiracy theories and other rubbish concerning other countries...yet he sits happily by while his own country burns with corruption, poverty, disease and anarchy. The source of the Catholic Church's wealth is of no import here. The Vatican is not being discussed here. What we are discussing is the stern criticism of the corruption that runs through the heart of this PDP Government. Naturally, as a member of the 40 Laptop squad, he is desperately trying to deflect attention away from the burning issues and distract us with red herrings until the more intelligent spin-doctors like Sincere9gerian come around to tell us how the Catholic Bishops are responsible for all the corruption in Nigeria. Please don't feed the troll. |

Very mischievous journalism here. As for the traders and anyone that thinks it is the in thing to run your business outside of Ala Igbo then ntooooooo to you on how you are been treated each and everytime..! When will you all begin to learn. As for me I run my business fully in the South East and there is no way I'm moving it to anyother region until I am satisfied that I have covered and saturated my region...Tufia kwa. I learnt from my Dad and I have since grown to see wisdom in his business decisions. To all those Igbo business men and women running away from Ala Igbo, keep running.! Are you a learner..?
