Matthew 23: 13

13 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. [14]

15 [b]“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!
You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.

16 “Woe to you, blind guides! You say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gold of the temple is bound by that oath.’ 17 You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? 18 You also say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gift on the altar is bound by that oath.’ 19 You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred? 20 Therefore, anyone who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. 21 And anyone who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it. 22 And anyone who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the one who sits on it.

29 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. 30 And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ 31 So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Go ahead, then, and complete what your ancestors started!

33 “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? 34 Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. 35 And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36 Truly I tell you, all this will come on this generation.

Akainzo: Very myopic view without any analytical input. SMH

When there is now a level playing field amongst all the handsets, Iphone5,SGSIII and the Z10, the determinat would now be personal preferences. If BlackBerry can get the popular apps (Skype, Netflix, Instagram, Amazon Kindle, etc) then it would come down to the user experience, stability, OS stability and capabilities of the smartphone. At this time, the Z10 would be the clear winner.
It will take YEARS for the Blackberry World to catch up the app gap with iOS and Android.
There's ZERO indication that the Z10 is more stable than iOS. User experience isn't any much better than Android or iOS, read the reviews from Engadget and theVerge for clarity.

On Average, Z10 is inferior in specs to iPhone 5 and the likes of the Galaxy Note II. Xperia Z comes out Feb 28th in the UK with much more powerful specs than the Z10...this will be followed by the HTC M7 in March...then expect the S4 in April. All these phones sport much more powerful Quad core processors, powerful GPUs, 13MP cameras, 1080p screens and bigger batteries.

There's a reason the BBRY stock price is plummeting. Wall Street realizes that RIM has not done enough...and perhaps too little too late to save themselves. Sales will not be through the roof this quarter...it will be March before the Z10 hits the all important US market and mid-April before the Q10 hits. Many consumers in developing nations will keep their OS7 devices in a desperate bid to retain BIS.

Mobile World Congress 2013 comes up in February. All the latest superphones from HTC, Sony, Motorola, LG and Nokia will be announced then. Expect that event to obliterate all public awareness/excitement on BB10.

Phones › Re: BB Z10 Vs Iphone 5. by texazzpete(m): 11:53am On Jan 31, 2013
Not sure where the OP cribbed this from, but it's very amateurish and clearly done by someone who doesn't know much about tech. A few areas I need to clarify

CPU/GPU
How the heck can CPUs 'look identical'? The Z10's processor is the same S4 that came in the One X and Galaxy S 3 of mid 2012. This is to say, it's outclassed by the CPU of the iPhone 5. When it comes to the GPU part of the story, there's no contest.

Camera
As for Cameras, early reviews make it clear that the Z10's Camera is nowhere in the same league with the likes of the S3, Note II, iPhone 5 and the Lumia 920. It's just...decent. The iPhone 5 is still at the top of the pile where mobile cameras are concerned.

Screen
Z1o has a higher screen resolution and a better pixel density. Brightness pales in comparison with the iPhone 5, though, and viewing angles aren't as good (slight yellowish tinge at extreme viewing angles)

Battery
The reviews are in...and the Z10 has a disappointing battery life. You'll barely make it through a day with heavy to normal use

What happened prior to civil war is repeating itself today and you say we should forget the civil war. Obj is not comfortable that nemesis will soon catch with him and other murderers. Can we forget the civil war when Obj and Co are still preventing igbos from getting the presidency . The war is still on . The earlier we face the reality the better for us by coming together to negotiate Nigeria or go the path of reconciliation or go our separate ways . Nigeria cannot afford to continue like until something happens . If not for the civil war lesion , Nigeria would have gone to war 3 times starting from Abiola saga to Boko wahala . OBJ is not a deep thinker and enlightened for making such statement
Nobody is 'preventing the Igbo from getting the Presidency'. It's a democracy...where are the Igbo leaders of note we're supposed to vote for? Orji Uzor Kalu? Why is there no single Governor in the South East that is spoken of with the same reverence as the likes of Fashola or even Oshiomhole? Does it have to be an Igbo Presidency before you feel appeased?

Dede1: One of the most idiotic aspects of the speech was the silly attempt to compare WWII with Britain-Nigeria\Biafra civil war. In WWII the battles were fought by independent countries and when the war ended, the combatants went back to their countries to rebuild and re-establish as they wished without little or no hindrance from opposing combatants.

However in the case of Nigeria\Biafra, the combatants remained in the same country and the so-called victors made sure vanquish never saw the rays of Sun again. Yet this goofy old fellow wants the Biafrans to forget. What a lapper.
Such an old bitter man you are, yet your ignorance is so nauseating.
In WWII, as a result of the German invasion of the Soviet Union, over 10 million Russians died...and many atrocities were committed. The Russians visited similar atrocities on the german population (albeit on a much smaller scale) and the hatred for the Germans was palpable. The whole of Eastern Europe was brought under the communist jackboot, Germany was partitioned, once-proud old nations like Poland were rendered mere vassals of the Soviet Union...and you say people just went back to 'rebuild and re-establish as they wished'?

Go find out what the Gestapo did to many frenchmen. Find out the numerous atrocities the Japanese forces carried out in China during WWII. Find out the horrific death toll the Atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki took...or the firebombing of Dresden that killed nearly 100000 people.

All these people have moved on. Israeli jews move and live freely in Germany. There are US bases in Japan and the US and Japan share close ties. German tourist walk the streets of Moscow. Japanese cars are more popular in the US than most American car brands.

people move on.

You demons want to keep sowing the seeds of hatred...shame on you!

But I sure do can maintain what I've bought. I ain't in the league of those who spend all their savings on a phone and don't even have money to subscribe.
Plus do you think just because a device is expensive makes it the best. No it doesn't. People like you are the ones that think that just because the money is there means I have to spend it on crap to earn respect. The pagani zonda is expensive, that doesn't it make it more powerful than the Chevrolet Camaro or the Dodge Charger.
A device should be bought for it's functions and not for class.

Oya answer this question. Is the Galaxy note II and the iPhone 5 on the same levels? Would you compare the productivity level of an iphone 5 user to that of a note II user?
What you don't know is that some of these high end phones ain't made for naija, but gullible folks like you, all in the name of trying to impress go on and purchase it. Then you start naming the things your phone can do but which you've never tried.

I no get money to buy high end android phone or iphone o, but God bless my parents sotay them help me order nexus 7 (32GB hsdpa version). If that ain't high end for you. Kiss my sorry a**!
Wetin concern me if you had someone buy you a Nexus 7?
Thank you for confirming my previous hypothesis. There is absolutely nothing wrong in owning an outdated phone or a phone that's no anywhere near cutting edge. There are people here that use cheap tecno phones and nobody criticizes their choice. There's everything wrong in using an outdated phone and then coming out to criticize users of much more powerful hardware and software that they are 'n00bs'.
You had the option of keeping your mouth shut. Exercise this option!

Habeebpain: I believe you've not seen the pictures taken by a nokia 603 before. Don't worry I'll upload some. You think say na pixel dem dey use do am? Barrel chest no open door o! Na person wey get key for hand.
No need for that, it was a budget phone from Nokia when it was released, sporting only a 5MP camera. Camera performance may be great to someone of low expectations, but it's mediocre these days.

Habeebpain: Oya answer this question. Is the Galaxy note II and the iPhone 5 on the same levels? Would you compare the productivity level of an iphone 5 user to that of a note II user?
Not sure what you mean by 'levels'. Both are high end, flagship phones. Galaxy Note II has a slightly faster CPU but the iPhone 5 has a much more powerful GPU.
There's no single benchmark for 'productivity levels' you tool! You can multitask, run Office apps and many niche apps like AutoCAD mobile on both iOS and Android so either way, all bases are covered. Note II does have a handy stylus for annotation/drawing and other stuff.
What does this have to do with the topic of discussion?

Habeebpain: What you don't know is that some of these high end phones ain't made for naija, but gullible folks like you, all in the name of trying to impress go on and purchase it. Then you start naming the things your phone can do but which you've never tried.
With the exception of LTE (which isn't available in most African countries), users in Africa can easily use all the features of these high end phones. Please stop parroting this misinformation around.
Just because you're broke, it doesn't mean people who buy high end phones are 'gullible' or use their entire life savings to buy a phone. Is that what you tell yourself at night to make yourself feel better? cheesy
When I buy a high end phone, i expect best in class performance, camera quality, video quality, cutting edge software and gaming performance. I get all those and more.

PS: I suppose you think your parents were 'gullible' for buying you a Nexus 7? cheesy

Habeebpain: I don't plan to start a phone war here but some comments are just straight on crap. Symbian OS was and is still amazing. My first was the nokia N70, switched to 5800 xpress music edition and last year when I wanted to get myself a birthday gift, instead of choosing from the crappy phones in the 35-40k range, I settled for a 603 that runs the Nokia Belle OS.
I've not seen any blackberry that beats a nokia symbian phone, even the mail ish they're shouting about no special. I receive and send mails easily on my phone. The widgets nko? They're cool. Dolby digital audio update really makes listening to music cool. Same for watching movies.
Most of those screaming bb are afraid to switch to touch-screen devices, which is actually the future. I type as fast as any blackberry user. And I don't abbreviate jack. It's actually surprising that it's those who have a qwerty keypad device who still abbreviate.like seriously? The chances of nokia producing an android phone is very close to none. This os was made to break symbian's hold on the smartphone market. So producing an android phone is tantamount to accepting defeat. If they wanted to, they'll have done that instead of choosing windows os.

One major flaw spoils the windows phones. Inability to lock onto 3G.That feature is a phone killer.

I've seen very few iPhone users who are power users. By that I mean someone who uses their phone extensively. How many apps do they have on their phones? They're too damn broke to buy the quality apps the app store is known for. So if you know you've never bought an app before on your iPhone and it isn't jailbroken, please keep your mouth shut.

Sent from my Nokia 603.
Translated: "I am too broke to buy a quality iPhone or Android device, and thus i must promote the hopelessly outdated Symbian OS"

Culture › Re: Calabar Carnival No Longer About Promoting Our Culture by texazzpete(m): 11:17am On Jan 25, 2013
In many Nigerian cultures, women went about even more unclad than some of these photos you're babbling about

Clothing, Accessories, and so on

At this point in history, the only purpose of clothing in Igboland was to cover private parts. Children are believed to have nothing to hide and are usually naked. A child may wear a string of beads around the waist for medicinal purposes or reasons. Igbo women always carried babies on their backs with a strip of clothing. A tradition that has continued until today.

In most cases, women did not have to cover the breast area. As Achebe noted on page 71 of Things Fall Apart:

She (i.e. Akueke) wore a black necklace which hung down in three coils just above her full, succulent breasts... and on her waist, four or five rows of jigida, or waist beads.
Page 103:

She (i.e. Ekwefi) began to run, holding her breats with her hands to stop them flapping noisily against her body.
Men went around with loincloths only, too.
