all4naija: You are alluding to the fact now iPhone 5 must be judged on benchmark reports while it is absolutely wrong not to judge Samsung Galaxy S III based on Specs. Do you see how iPhone ad and potential users are already missing the point. You're really starting to exasperate me. For Apple devices, it isn't really about the specs, but about the user experience. Just because Apple didn't dwell on the specs during the iPhone 5 reveal, you fandroids have been stridently deriding the iPhone as 'old tech' and 'outdated'. All i've done is to show you how the iPhone 5 is covered on all fronts. Also I have provided some much needed education for you...Quad Core isn't always automatically faster than Dual Core. The chipset architecture matters too. Instead of gratitude for the learning i've provided, you still persist in taking potshots! |
After Anandtech's initial benchmarks show the iPhone 5's A6 TROUNCING the competition (including all variants of the Galaxy S III), i expect fandroids to STFU with their 'iPhone 5 has outdated specs' line. If y'all haven't seen 'em all, more benchmarks here https://www.nairaland.com/1055252/iphone-5-most-powerful-phone |
all4naija: Hehehe... I am laughing over your inconsistent benchmark reports! Lol...How insightful, deep and intellectually stimulating...like all you previous posts /s ![]() |
@ Texazzpete If iPhone 5 processor didn't do better than what is already in the market The ghost of Steve Job will surely pursue Tim cook in the dream. But as for other features of I5, many phones in the market has been enjoying them for quite awhile, while fanboys are rejoicing as if they were invented by apple!
No, but here's the thing Apple did that we ought to give them credit for. All their competitors do one thing...they design an SoC and re-use, or use an existing chipset. That's why you see Samsung, HTC, Nokia, LG and others using Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 chipsets. Apple designed the A6 chipset in house...100%. This chipset was built from the ground up to be low power, high performance. That is why the A6 running at 800Mhz to 1.2Ghz (depending on load) can outperform chipsets with much high clock frequencies. Apple fans aren't rejoicing as if their features are the first in the market. They are rejoicing because these features are arriving for the first time on iOS. they like the iOS ecosystem, they love the apps...and they love it when a new feature comes out. Android fans have it wrong. They make snide comments about the Panorama app in iOS6. They don't realize that the iOS app store had Panorama apps way before even the Android Market got them. I doubt up to 1% of android users worldwide use them. Apple has now integrated this as a NATIVE part of the camera app and is marketing it in such a way that it'll become standard and frequently used by the Apple faithful. How many Android phones have Panarama baked into the camera app? If i was taking a wedding photo with an iPhone 4S, i would never think to download a panorama app from the app store. But now, with iOS6, it's built in...and people will start using it like second nature. That is the difference between Native and third party. |
That was a trip wire naa ![]() U try! of course what did you expect? Apple had about 6 months to overpower the most powerful phone and they came out doing that (only in speed anyway)! Samsung is also taking her lessons, come November when S4 comes out, their new Hussain Bolt will again leave Iphone 5 in the dust! It will always get better and the consumers reap the benefit of smaller and more powerful phones! ![]() A toast to the new King (even if its only for 2months) ![]() (On a lighter note, my wife has caught the Iphone 5 bug too and i can't convince her not to get it)
SGS4? That'll be march next year at the earliest. PS: I just paid $1 for the Geekbench app on my SGS III running Jellybean. First run: 1562 Second run: 1277 3rd run: 1561 4th run : 1515 5th run : 1236 6th run: 1811 Evidence below See how inconsistent and unreliable geekbench can be?
Ahahaa ![]() Na wa o! Apple pipuls ![]() Thou must justify thy rabid love for thy idol ![]() Fact is this iPhone 5 released almost 6 months later, is still struggling with Galaxy S3 for benchmark topdog! Anyways sha, I have benchmark results here too
As Anandtech noted nearly a week agoAlthough Geekbench is cross platform, I wouldn't recommend using this data to do anything other than compare iOS devices. I've looked at using Geekbench to compare iOS to Android in the past and I've sometimes seen odd results.Nice try, though. Funny enough, Geekbench seemingly gives inconsistent results...this review from June says The high performance of the S3 is backed up by benchmarking. Using the Geekbench app, which measures devices based on processor speed and memory, the S3 scored an average of 1387. This is considerably higher than the HTC One X (709) and over double the 626 for the iPhone 4S.and i've attached a sample of the reviews from the Geekbench app on Google Play. Basically, the results wildly vary from 1200 - 1800 for the Android version. Sorry bro, but Anandtech's analysis is more robust...and he uses top notch benchmarks, including Google's recently released Octane benchmarks which they claim reflects modern web use. https://images.anandtech.com/graphs/graph6324/49991.png There you go. Safari destroying Chrome on the powerful One X...which is supposedly google's best effort.

See the industry legend wey all4naija dey rubbish just because of blind fanboyism http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/27/anand-shimpi-reviewer-from-raleigh_n_1708488.html Meet Anand Shimpi: Tech Industry Finds An Oracle In The Reviewer From Raleigh Anandtech's credibility cannot be impeached. If you like, use your usual crappy arguments about 'unofficial' and 'jellybean'. I suspect your life's meaning may be crashing down around your ears because a dual core SoC has outclassed your Quad Core darling. ![]() |
all4naija: I am tired of your incessant outbursts. They don't change anything about Apple inability to bring to the table something different. The shape still remain the same, I can hardly differentiate iPhone 4(s) from 5. Whatever, your claims haven't changed anything with those tests, though, are unofficial and will remain like that for sometime to come. Please, point to where iPhone 5 outstrip Samsung Galaxy S III using Jelly Bean? Before you start using excuse like fanboyism or whatsoever coined term by you and the benchmark from your anandtech.Chill, son, Anandtech's reviews are still ongoing. By the way, what do you mean by 'unofficial'? Are you waiting for Samsung to benchmark their own phone, benchmark the iPhone and release the results? or are you expecting Apple to do so for you? Sorry to burst your bubble but 1) JellyBean is not available for the Galaxy S III 2) jellybean will not change the GL benchmarks GPU scores which the iPhone 5 destroys the Quad Core Mali 400 in the SGS III. Funny how you now reach for reviews on battery life, camera quality etc. Don't worry, they are coming. If you think these will be automatic wins for Samsung, you're sadly mistaken. https://img.skitch.com/20120922-t7qej1a5mqjmdxakxnh5pt1qt5.jpg |
Stop with the insults and post a proper rebuttal. You are so eager to say something you say nothing. Post us a link simple.
No. The question is, why the heck are you posting news from July here in September? |
all4naija: So you believe all these unofficial tests pedal around by iPhone 5 Sponsor media. I am not going to shout about this overrate piece of aluminium. Time will tell of the truth!DO YOU KNOW WHO ANAND SHIMPI FROM ANANDTECH IS?!! Not even the most rabid Android fanboy with Google tattoos on his testicles will EVER call Anandtech an 'Apple sponsored site'. Are you this desperate?! Please, just stop talking! all4naija: The Jelly Bean test flogged iPhone 5 hands down! You don't know what you're babbling about. Anandtech specifically discourages using Geekbench as a benchmark tool for comparison between iOS and Android devices...which is clearly why his only use of Geekbench was in comparison between iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. In the earlier round of Geekbench benchmarks, the iPhone 5 outscores the stock Galaxy S III running ICS. Users with overclocked Android phones running custom Jellybean ROMs have since been desperately falling over themselves to obtain marginally higher scores in a totally apples-to-oranges benchmark. Using standard suites like Sunspider, GL benchmark, Browsermark and Google's Octane benchmarks, the iPhone 5 clearly outstrips the competition. It's a shame that blind fanboyism has blinded you to the truth. Just in case you need the source link http://www.anandtech.com/show/6324/the-iphone-5-performance-preview |
all4naija: Hahaha... That was done on a dual-core US version of Samsung Galaxy S III. Hahaha... This is how iPhone supporters deceive people. Hahaha...! You forgot to point out that the one tested on Jelly Bean flogged iPhone 5 iOS6 hands down.Nice try...but Anandtech's benchmarks are out...and the iPhone 5 crushes all competition, including the Quad core Galaxy S III https://www.nairaland.com/1055252/iphone-5-most-powerful-phone |
It's now official. The iPhone 5 is the most powerful phone in the world https://www.nairaland.com/1055252/iphone-5-most-powerful-phone Let all arguments now end ![]() |
A UK judge has ordered Apple to put a notice on its website stating that Samsung did not copy any aspect of the iPad in the design of its own Galaxy Tab 10.1 device. Here’s a judge who certainly knows how to make a name for himself. Last week, Colin Birss – ruling in a British court – rejected a bid by Apple to have sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet halted for patent infringement related to the design its own iPad device. Judge Birss decided that consumers would have little trouble distinguishing between the Galaxy Tab and Apple’s iPad. On hearing the decision, we can imagine Samsung’s UK lawyers took time out to warmly pat each other on the back, congratulating themselves on a job well done – until they discovered the reason Birss thought consumers would be able to tell the difference. Describing the two competing tablets, the judge said the Galaxy Tab was “not as cool” as Apple’s iPad. Well, back patting maneuvers are set to resume in the wake of a new ruling by Birss, issued Wednesday, ordering Apple to put a notice on its UK website, as well as in a number of Britain’s national newspapers, stating that Samsung did not copy any aspect of the iPad’s design. The notice should refer to the ruling he made last week. If that doesn’t have the jaws of Apple lawyers hitting the ground in unison, this next bit will – the notice should remain on the website for six months. Imagine that. An advertisement for Samsung. On the Apple website. For six months. Source: www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/apple-ordered-by-court-to-issue-ad-saying-samsung-didnt-copy-the-ipad/
This was in July and Apple has successfully appealed. You're shamelessly stale. |
Isn't this standard practice? If you have your vehicle seized by your police somewhere for violating laws, is the expectation that they will hold it for you indefinitely? The storage space costs them money.
No, this is not. You have the option of paying a small fine and retrieving your vehicle. What this means is that you can spend all your money buying a new Camry 2012 model...and Fashola's Government will confiscate it PERMANENTLY if you veer into a 'one-way' road by mistake. This is the height of evil, IMHO. |
Spirit1: The point is that if you don't want your vehicle confiscated and auctioned, you should obey the law. How do you think that most of the tokunbo cars that are auctioned in the United States and then shipped to Nigeria make it to auction? In the US, even things like driving with an expired driver’s license, improper vehicle registration can make you forfeit your car to government. Do you have a clue how many lives are lost due to traffic violation yearly in Nigeria? What the government should do additionally, is to arrest and jail LATSMA officials who take bride from offenders. We need to get serious in this country. This was the same argument used to support introduction of Sharia law. Very similar to "If you don't steal, don't worry about us cutting off your hand" |
all4naija: You are just too artificial, dude! Please, don't forget to explain why you think iPhone A6 is faster than Samsung Galaxy S III quad-core!Perhaps this? http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2410034,00.asp The iPhone 5 looks to be the fastest smartphone we've ever tested at PCMag.com. https://www1.pcmag.com/media/images/359037-iphone-5-vs-android-chart.jpg?thumb=y |

kai, this Akainzo no sabi anything. Abeg 4llerbuntu come and help me educate this fellow. Because two cameras are 5MP, the clown thinks they are the same thing ![]() After trying to drill into his head that with modern smartphones, the phone becomes the Wifi Source he's still floundering in the dark. Abeg, I have no time to respond to your drivel point-by-point but just FYI, here's a link to show you how you can easily tether your iPhone to your ipad via bluetooth http://www.macworld.com/article/1159258/bluetooth_tethering.html I'm done with you. |
Instead of sending people on scholarships in Engineering, alternative energy, aeronautics and rocketry...we're sending people on full scholarships to read theatre arts and international studies?! What happened to University of Calabar? Why should people on a FULL SCHOLARSHIP even have to work? How can they claim not to have known the terms of their Visa? Cry me a river...they're as good as deported. |
4llerbuntu: the moment u start hearing the cheap plastic line, you know for a fact that either the turd saying it has NEVER seen a GS III in the flesh, or is simply trolling and looking for points by repeating stuff read elsewhereHow tragic for you that in the first video kasiye posted (iPhone 5 vs Galaxy S III drop test), the Android Authority guy called the Galaxy S III 'cheap plastic' ![]() So...Is he trolling? never used a GSIII before? Hmm! |
luluosas: What is breaking about this? Was the phone not designed to operate with nano Sim card?https://www.funnyqanda.com/images/facepalm-because-expressing-how-dumb-that-was-in-words-just-doesnt-work.jpg |
all4naija: Not the quad core of Samsung Galaxy S III.Quad-core vs dual-core provides us with evidence that the former would present you with a better speed when multitasking than a dual-core. So, I would choose quad-core Tegra 3 to Qualcomm S4 in a way.Why are you rambling on and on? Galaxy S III Quad Core edition is faster than the Qualcomm S4...that does not mean that Quad core is always faster than Dual Core...even for multitasking. Sorry to burst your bubble. In all CPU benchmarks, the S4 destroys the Quad core Tegra 3. Similarly, the newly released Dual Core variant of the S4 pro is measurably faster than the Quad core Galaxy S III. Please NEVER make the mistake of blanket assumptions. Many things go into the performance of a CPU, not just number of cores. Never use Clock speeds either. The Dual Core iPhone 5's A6 processor is clocked at only 1Ghz...but it performs up there with the 1.4Ghz Quad core CPU in the Galaxy S III. |

samir101ng: Like to disagree with you on that. No, money sometimes doesn't have anything to do with it. Living in an environment like Nigeria where people place a lot of emphasis on material things, you see people buying stuffs and gadgets just for "effizy". Plenty of times, they don't have a clue as to how the particular device has other functions apart from its possession e.g Blackberry. That's why you see so many people being picked on in the forums. For some, its blind loyalty others inferiority complex. Personally, i can afford to get most of the devices i want but always do a lot of research before buying one, not out of blind loyalty or because one is superior to the other. My personal choice comes first and will not shove it down anybody's throat.I will TRY and be gentle with you. You'll notice that my post was directed at the people who use words like 'iSheep', 'iCrap', 'haemorrdroid' etc. This clearly is not something you do often, so why are you stating you're different here when it should be a given? samir101ng: Lastly, am wondering about the rational behind posting every device that you own ??1) that isn't every device I own 2) If i'm preaching 'make love, not war', shouldn't I show what I mean by that? ![]() I have a unique solution to all this fanboy nonsense. I pick up all that I really find compelling and sell off the ones I don't need. It may not work for you or for many who will not find this financially viable but for me it works. I merely listed what I owned to illustrate my point. |
