Next2Bezee: Obviously you didn't see my edited post or you just chose to ignore it.In your own words, whatever comes out of a man is directly from his heart. Seeing as how you originally lambasted Helen Ukpabio (and how in your 'modified' post you only crossed out her name instead of just deleting it), it's clear which side you're on. Nice try, though. |
Next2Bezee: Helen Ukpabio should be cautious with her words...Sharrap My friend. Don't you know Ukpabio is an ANOINTED Woman of God and must not be 'touched'? 1 Chronicles 16:22 "Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm" ![]() |
Abrantie: If not for Apple's shameless lawsuits, most people would have never known Apple was the greatest copycat of all time.Did you know Apple had their Newton tablet in 1987? https://www.empowernetwork.com/jmccash/files/2012/06/Apple-Newton.jpg Did you know that intel announced a tablet shown in 1998 called the WebPAD? Did you know that in 1994 the European Commission funded the development of a multimedia device called a 'NewsPAD'? See what I keep saying about ignorant fanboys spouting misinformation? You didn't know about the Newton because your sources failed to mention that. You didn't realize that 'Pad' was used in the naming convention for several tablets, likely because it's derived from the notepad? Open your mouth and babble about LG. See a prototype Tablet PC from Microsoft in 2000 below https://pencomputing.com/images/tablet_orange.jpg Nobody has ever accused Apple of 'stealing' the Tablet concept from Microsoft. Apple revolutionalized a failed market with their iPad...and that's something no sane person can deny. |
Abrantie: ... and the names "iPhone" and "iOS" were stolen from Cisco Systems: http://www.cultofmac.com/143006/how-steve-jobs-steamrolled-cisco-on-the-name-iphone/I think you need to get a dictionary and check the meaning of the word 'stolen'. Apple had the iPod, iMac line of products. What did you think their phone was going to be called? Hobscotch McNuggets? Cisco already had a trademark for the iPhone name. Apple negotiated to get the rights to use that name. I mean, the article you quoted specifically mentioned that Apple NEGOTIATED an agreement with Cisco. WTF do you now come with this 'stolen' story? If you hate Apple that much that you're willing to make up stories, perhaps you can also say that Apple stole their name and their logo from a naturally occurring fruit. I know you despise Apple but PLEASE be reasonable. It's disconcerting to have to abandon legitimate arguments to refute your FUD and misinformation. |
Fiveseventy: Rectangular screens with rounded corners was one of many cases that Apple brought forward!Show me where Apple brought a case complaining about 'Rectangular screens with rounded corners'. I dare you. You have been brainwashed by reading blog posts of angry fanboys who have let their ire get in the way of logic. Funny how you complain of hyperbole from Apple...yet you see no reason to whine about Samsungs 'designed for humans' and 'inspired by nature' tag lines. At least many of Apple's innovations HAVE been revolutionary. Samsung's touchwiz interface on the SGS and the general phone hardware was not 'inspired' by the 3GS...it was a shameless attempt to ape the phone visually. |
Is anyone surprised by this?
Not me. 99% of the 'blasphemy' charges levied against non-muslims are totally false. |
kutchs: Dont believe all those s**t bro as they all stunts pulled to deceive gullible Nigerians into believing he‘s clean. Why did he choose to live in that Abuja apartment if he knew he had no money to pay the rent once the first rent paid for him expires? Think and think again and do not be deceived. Why is it that after running against OBJ, Yar'Adua and GEJ, the brutal PDP machinery couldn't dig up any dirt to use against him....and you're believing this crap story? If there was anything unclean about Buhari, you can be sure PDP would have been running newspaper ads to trumpet 'em. |
http://edition.cnn.com/2012/09/02/world/asia/pakistan-girl-blasphemy/index.html Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- Pakistani police say a Muslim cleric planted evidence to link a Christian girl to blasphemy -- a new twist in a case that has fanned flames of religious tension in the country and attracted worldwide interest. The imam, Khalid Jadoon Chishti, will himself face blasphemy charges for tearing pages out of a Quran to use as evidence against the girl, Islambad police chief Bin Yamin said. The latest development may make it easier for the girl, 14-year-old Rimsha, to be released on bail at her next court hearing. Police arrested Rimsha last month after a neighbor accused her of burning pages containing texts from the Muslim holy book, the Quran. Rimsha had two shopping bags with her: one containing ashes and the other, the partially burned pages, police said. She had gathered the paper as fuel for cooking, authorities said. Even though Rimsha's lawyer said no one actually saw the girl burning the papers, the neighbor went to Chishti -- the neighborhood cleric -- with the bags for safekeeping as evidence. Chishti wasn't certain that simply burning pages with texts from the Quran would be enough to convict Rimsha on blasphemy charges, said Munir Jaffery, the investigating officer in the case. So, the imam added two pages from the holy book itself to the bag to bolster the case, Jaffery said. |
Fiveseventy: And it's no coincidence that Apple products mimic LG ipad with; The first iPad didn't come in white. Rectangular displays isn't patented by anyone. Flat screens have been on monitors for decads. The iPad gets its name from the Apple 'i' prefix and 'pad'. None of you can provide compelling proof Apple copied anyone...there's a big difference between being inspired by something and cloning that thing completely as Samsung did with the Galaxy S (ripped off design features from the iPhone 3GS) |
toyo C: Hmm, fire is burning and some ppl are using logic as fire extinguishers : /No. We're using our brains. Try using yours sometimes...it tends to come in handy. |
Mekusnwa: @PATAKI,But you left the part about his wife in it... |
So basically, it's just a Sunni Muslim falsely identifying members of the rival Shiite sect as being 'terrorists' and 'Boko haram' Move along now, there's nothing to see here. This Muslim cleric should be arrested for misleading the public. |

debosky: I think it might become a case of one person's word against another's. The killers may claim they had bought rohypnol many times from this same pharmacist for the same purpose, while the pharmacist denies all knowledge. I don't know what standard of proof or evidence is required for conviction in Nigeria, and whether other lesser charges like manslaughter, etc. exist. The killers were rotating hotels so it's doubtful they would have used the same pharmacy twice. oyb: i seem to recall the killers denying that they know the pharmacistsThat's the point...there are disciplinary measures that will be levied against the pharmacists for selling drugs without a valid prescription. But one thing should be clear: These guys are not guilty of murder, they are not culpable in kidnapping/murder. The actual murder was committed by those killers...they could easily have drugged and raped cynthia and let her live. |
If you hear all the horror stories the expat staff in my office tell me about their experiences when trying to get a visa to Nigeria... |
hassymo5: Mark of the Beast in the Hand or Forehead? As mentioned before, the popular spiritual interpretation for the Mark of the Beast is that our foreheads represent our thoughts and our hands represent our actions. This may be a good start, but presented alone it falls short of the physical implications of a mark that is required to buy and sell. Ask yourself, where is the most logical place to put a tiny microchip that is injected under the skin, used for payment, and only operates within a couple inches of a reader? The hand is obvious. Literally payment with the wave of the hand [1]. It's likely that for security the RFID reader (called an interrogator) will require a secondary means of validating a person's identity. That validation might occur through the fingerprint or iris at the same time the RFID microchip is read in the hand or forehead. Both forms of biometrics are already routine in the security realm. Is it mere coincidence that Revelation describes the Mark of the Beast being in the hand or in the forehead? Revelation 13: 16. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17. And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number ofThrice accursed m0r0n. So you're among those addled-brained imbecilic dolts that are behind those inane BBMs and emails that the 'US government plans to implant RFID chips in people'? This has long been shown to be a hoax, a myth that only the intellectually challenged actually believe http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/microchip.asp Heaven knows Obama has enough problems of his own without coming up with a law (which would NEVER pass because of privacy fears and opposition from people) to implant microchips in all US citizens. Stop being lazy and use your grey cells to parse any information first for logic and common sense before sending it out. People like you are major distributors of computer viruses because you click on every goddamn link on the Internet. |
Look who's talking...A minister of finance that showed poor understanding of the monies paid as fuel subsidy, does not know the daily consumption of petrol in Nigeria and does not know the modalities of subsidy payment. Rubbish |
debosky: If it can be proven that they sold the rohypnol knowing that the buyers would use it to commit the crime, then they can be found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder. They'll never be able to prove this. |
leunamme93: is there any app like dragon dictator on andriod?I'm not sure...but if you go jellybean, there's offline dictation built in. |
pato405: this guy is not only demented, he is so so jobless!!! snooping around NL searching for whom to bandy expletives with. I've got no time for nitwits like you mofo. a tadpole is wiser than you are. quit quoting imaginary names from the depth of your hallucination. it's just one of the side effects of the anti-psychotic d.rugs your shrink has loaded you with. Now you've gotten that off your chest, are you finally at peace? If i recall correctly, you originally posted this in the 'Politics' section of Nairaland. Yet another proof of a stunted IQ ![]() |
belushi7: There are lots of such on the Internet that showed apple never invented any of those things they claim. Nobody needs to eat anyone raw. If truly apple invented them they can mention in their replies. I have also watched YouTube videos detailing that all apple claims are false.Apple doesn't have to 'invent' these things. I don't think Apple ever claimed to invent any of the hardware. They HAVE claimed to be innovative and by golly, nobody born of woman can dispute that. If you're referring to patents, Apple has a right to defend their patents. if you people are angry why not press for a change in the patent system so vague patents aren't given? Once they are given, Apple WILL use them. Nokia sued Apple in 2009 and won $768million, remember? |
pato405: @ texazzpete: I just imagine what pleasure you derive from being insultive. I have CLEARLY acknowledged the source of the article. you must be really re.tarded to have involved my parents. it shows how much you regard yours if a mere online article could make you refer to your miserable parents. WOE BETIDE YOU texazzpete. You know why i'm so hard on m0r0ns like you? I think of all the brilliant people I know who are now dead...Mickey Olumoye, Charles, Jude, Osaro...all brillant fellows with first class brains. All gone. Now it personally offends me that utterly brilliant fellows are gone before their time...and a someone like you with a stunted IQ (how else would someone fall for this story) is still drawing air happily! Others may sugar coat their words...but it takes a special type of cretin to fall for this OBVIOUS, OBVIOUS hoax. Linking to the source does not exonerate you for your imbecility...God gave you your brains to THINK and process information. It can be argued that thinking that everything on the internet is absolutely correct is another manifestation of imbecility, but i'll leave that diagnosis for another day. PS: I graduated nearly 10 years ago...but even when I was in SS2 i would not have fallen for this hoax ![]() |
pato405: This morning more than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially, the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way.I am filled with utter pity for your parents...all that money spent on your education and you cannot recognize an obvious hoax when you see it. Apart from the obvious fact that it would be a costly ploy to do this, the logistics would be a nightmare...and it's doubtful anyone can aggregate that sum in coins without some serious backbreaking work. Secondly, Samsung mentioned immediately after the judgement that they planned to appeal...So why would they pay any money now? Thirdly, Samsung is a critical component supplier to Apple's iPhone and iPad...and that's business running into billions of dollars. Even if such an outlandish story were true, wouldn't Apple merely send back the money to Samsung as payment for services? And wouldn't Samsung know this already? Finally, any money paid will be sent to the bank, not to Apple HQ. If Samsung were to pay in coins, why would it be Apple executives counting the money and not a bank...if any bank would accept payment in this mode? Bottom line: YOU DO NOT DESERVE YOUR UNIVERSITY DEGREE!! ![]() |
seyiogat: XOLINK STORE LIMITED IS A FAKE COMPANYAs a wise man once said, "A Fool and his money are soon parted" How the flying f**k could you believe that his business could sell you a genuine Porsche Design BB for far less than half the normal cost price? How did you expect him to make a profit? The Blackberry TK Victory, Blade and Empathy are just concept mockups made for RIM by third parties and have never been manufactured and never will be. When you saw him advertising those for sale, didn't that ring the alarm bells in your head? Spare us the sob story...go and lick your wounds in silence and reflect on your imbecility. |
puskin: Your thought.........your rules..........your way.Pirating apps costing between N200 - N800? Your rules, yes...but also your values ![]() |
4llerbuntu: Its there, or something like that is there. Called burst mode. But going by the atrocity most oem did to the stock camera settings its as good as not being there.1) Burst mode isn't HDR...it just shoots loads of images quickly and then allows you choose the best. 2) Nokia's cameras on the N9, Lumia 800 and 900 have not been spectacular. They would never have been been able to launch a Pureview device on Android anytime before now. |
nosa gold: My fwend say yur own opinion nd let others say theirs, that's wat we do here, hw much did yu receive from goldie sef? Abeg park well jorLol. How much money Goldie get wey e go fit pay me? |
If found culpable, should be mowed down immedately with his fellow OPC murderers and bunch of ritualists!such a local juju organizatn in contemporary Nigerian society!?
Tommorrow now you people will say Muslims are intolerant. If these people are practitioners of African Traditional Religion, why the heck should you disparage their religion as 'ritualists' and 'juju' and suggest it has no place in Nigerian society? Didn't your JSS1 Social Studies class teach you that the three religions in Nigeria are 1) Christianity 2) Islam 3) African Traditional Religion? |
diesel86: These mumu ALBINO girl no even get shame, she still they make noise after puting nigerian women image in a bad light...... I beg make she go hug transfomer joor. The same week the woman was in leaving the house, three Nigerian women were being expelled from the Olympics camp for taking drugs. All you semi-literate, bovine m0r0ns did not see anything wrong with that, rather it's a girl who fell in love and began to do uncharacteristic things that has 'brought Nigerian women image in a bad light' Na God go punish you for this stupidity...how did she put Nigerian women in a bad light? Did she 1) Sell her body for money? No? Yet hundreds (if not thousands) of Nigerian girls are in italy and Spain working as hookers 2) Scam another housemate? No? Yet a huge chunk of the Nigerian yahoo boys are aided and abetted by women. 3) Sell drugs or engage in crime? No? yet many Nigerian women are joining their male counterparts in South Africa to sell drugs and fund robberies. On my BBM, one of the most vocal and virulent critic of Goldie was recently asking me if she should go back to her boyfriend who had been beating her daily. Even after massive slapping, she still wanted me to talk her out of going back. That same person was calling Goldie a 'mumu' just months before! In summary, you're a cretin. |
