I saw this crappy piece in the Vanguard today. Can anyone please point me to where the writer is? I strongly feel that if i engage this misguided dolt in a 30 minute debate, i can put him in his place. Nigerians do not care whether he's running for electoral position or not. Let him answer for his conduct when he was in office. |
@RevMallam Whether the crisis was caused by greedy people, or by looters or whatever, the end result is that the world is in a serious global meltdown. I would suggest you google the words 'global' and 'meltdown' and find a meaning from the combination. Secondly, i despise people why deliberately distort information to make an insidious point. You point to an article written by an influential financial guru inwhich he points the finger at a cabal of looters' being somewhat responsible for the financial mess. Yet your title clearly states 'America', clearly trying to point the finger at the entire nation being responsible. One day, i pray i understand the need for many of your religious persuasion to paint the US as black as they possibly can. |
debosky:I never said i shared the same view as the Pope in this matter. I use condoms and i fully believe i alone have the right to determine what family planning method i use in my family (when i eventually marry). At least any method short of abortion ![]() However, unlike what the deluded trio of A-town et al are spewing, he never came out to say it 'increases the risk of AIDS'. He said it 'aggravates the problem'. Is it so far fetched for a religious leader to opine that wide-scale condom promotion could encourage immorality? He's speaking what he's expected to say as a religious leader, promoting abstinence, which is the preferred option for religious leaders. I'm not going to condemn him for that. debosky:There's a link to what the Pope actually said in the first post. Doesn't it make more sense to base your replies on what you deduce from his comments, rather than the somewhat misleading title of this post? |
I guess you three apes are too stupid to comprehend what the Pope was getting at. His point of view is that the aggressive focus on condom usage is spreading the message that using a condom removes any burden or obstacle to having indiscriminate sex. His point of view is that abstinence is the best solution for HIV prevention. While this point of view may be somewhat naive as humans are usually too weak to resist their sexual urges, it doesn't make him a monster or make him deluded as you retards are quick to proclaim. Ultimately he would rather see a world in which people remained chaste until marriage as a solution to HIV than a world in which condom usage is made the 'solution' to HIV spread. And no, even as a Catholic i do not agree with his opinion with regards condom use in marriages etc. But i have a healthy respect for his opinion. |
toba1909:That's quintuple to you, my dear fellow. We've lost some battles, but we'll win the war. |
Now here's my take: Ferguson is a bloody idiot. Is this the instant response he promised us? Why bench Rooney for the first half? Why such a makeshift strike force? Scholes should retire at the end of the season. He's played well in the past, but there's no cure for stupidity. Someone next to me said it was a mistake. Mistake?! That was stupidity. Rooney's got mental problems. Ferguson needs to do his job and defuse that massive (and frankly stupid) temper. Who doesn't know that hurling the ball away is a yellow card? Now i've got that rant out of the way, let's hope the lessons are learnt this time and we can move on from here. Also hope liverpool messes up tommorrow ![]() Fulham haven't beaten United at their home since 1964. Thanks a lot, fergie. Nice job, scholes. Pathetic. |
This topic is still on? Worthless buffoons. Give me N100 million and a good selection of top graduates from Nigerian universities and i launch something in 6 months! http://www.switched.com/2009/03/18/students-take-space-photos-with-simple-latex-balloon-and-digi-ca/ Spanish teenagers launched a baloon up to 100000 feet, snapping photos of the fringes of space with an onboard camera. Teenagers!! |
Stop posting links, you dolt! Now take them down before Seun bans you for good. |
cabali:The iphones on sale now are certainly gonna be running firmware 2.2.1, with the (currently) unlockable baseband. There's no guarantee of any quick unlock if you manage to snag one. Serious iPhone 3G scarcity in computer village, not too many of the 2.2s left. . . funkybaby:I think i posted something earlier. But if you didnt see it, register at xsellize.com, add the repo to your cydia and download. You may want to check the forums first, though. There's already some form of copy and paste in Cydia. Install Clippy! You can even copy sms messages sent to you and paste in new messages, a quick and dirty way to do forwarding ![]() |
Ijawman:I'll bet you nearly died of fright after you watched Busta Rhymes 'Dangerous' video, eh? Fish eye lens, silly ![]() |
kaecy5:And did it ever occur to you that even 15kg of marijuana is enough to execute the guy?! |
Badriyyah:WTF?! Resident Evil 4 was the best resident evil ever!! it doesn't always have to be about shambling zombies ![]() |
nice! |
@naijafan With iPhone firmware 3.0 offering support out of the box for landscape SMS and forwarding messages, sales of iRealSMS, biteSMS et al will all but dry up completely. I'd be surprised if they don't go on a steeply discounted sale soon ![]() |
So i guess re-branding Nigeria is just like being 'born-again'? You know, old things are passed away and all that? So when we go through the motions, will PHCN give me better electricity? Will the roads improve? Oh, i forgot. The main target of this exercise is supposed to be the foreign countries who have a low opinion of us. SO if we hype ourselves more, are all old sins going to be forgiven? |
Hey Dora! Rebrand this http://edition.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/03/17/nigeria.scam/index.html (CNN) -- A college student in Nigeria has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for scamming an Australian woman out of $47,000 online by pretending to be a widowed white businessman desperately in love with her. A court in Ikeja in southwest Nigeria ruled that Lawal Adekunie Nurudeen will also have to pay back the 56-year-old woman, even if it meant selling the two plots of land and the Honda Prelude he bought with her money. Nurudeen was an engineering student when he met the woman online in 2007, said the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Nigeria's anti-corruption police. The woman lamented that she was looking for a husband but had been disappointed in the men she had met. "The convict, who is married with three children, instantly applied and told the victim that she had met Mr. Right," the commission said in a statement. Nurudeen pretended to be a 57-year-old British engineer working with a multinational company in Nigeria. He told her his wife and only child had died in a road accident in Lagos, the former capital of the country. "He sent the picture of a white man to the victim to foreclose any suspicions," police said. The woman agreed to marry him. A few weeks later, Nurudeen called the woman pretending to be a doctor. He told her that her fiance had been in an accident and needed money for treatment. The woman obliged, the commission said. Nurudeen let two weeks pass. He then called the woman again, thanking her profusely for her kindness and telling her that he would like to visit her in Australia. He asked her for airfare, cash for customs clearance and other incidentals, police said. Authorities did not say how Nurudeen was caught. But he duped the woman of $47,000 before his arrest, the commission said. Scammers in Nigeria have gained a reputation for using the Internet to con foreign nationals out of money. Some of the scams have earned the name "419" after the clause in the Nigerian criminal code that deals with obtaining property under false pretense |
SpiralEx:Except when said business in some cases include fake drugs and equipment. There's no sense in tarring any particular tribe with any particular vice. |
luckiest:But you ARE advocating rape, you stupid sonuvabitch! All you've just said is that it's okay to harm others as long as they do not share the same values, principles and ideologies as you do. That means there's no difference between you and all the other genocidal butchers the world has seen. |
Grizzly:Because you're hooked on Symbian. And when you get that way, you start lusting for a slight upgrade over your existing device. And yes, i'm sure you'd cheerfully exchange your N82 for an N96. |
@IFELEKE Millions of honest, talented Nigerian youths are jobless and unemployed, yet all you can think is to employ people with questionable integrity? I don't care what skills these people have amassed by being criminals. Honest people get these same skills by studying and analysing these deviants who give us all a bad name. Instead of preaching to us about tolerance, why don't you set the ball rolling by employing a hardened ex-convict as your gatekeeper? Surely a murderer may be able to predict how other fellow murderers may think, abi? |
Grizzly:And what makes you think he's fantasizing? He's right, though. Your N82 is getting a bit long in the tooth these days. I've got an N96 i could sell to ya if you wanna upgrade . I just got it but i can't bring myself to use it. Coming from my iPhone 3G it feels so clunky. . .@Inferis A bit antsy these days, aren't you? ![]() |
hulahoop, nicetwili and QaQpp are forum spambots. Avoid clicking any link! |
Now this is confusing Pastor Chris Oyakhilome says TB Joshua is a man of God. A good one, to boot. Pastor Chris Okotie said TB Joshua is devilish Adeboye says TB Joshua is preaching the wrong message. So it's clear that both Chris Oyakhilomen and Adeboye are on opposite sides. They both differ on whether JOshua's message is good or not. But you'd think Men of God would know a good Pastor or a good message when they see one. So it's puzzling that any of them could be wrong. But the are both 'men of God'. And in the Nigerian pentecostal circles, such men canot be wrong, they're perfect on spiritual matters! I dunno, man, can't wrap my head around this paradox. ![]() |
HeatFusion:Yeah, right. Like you KNOW he's going to do it again. |
This is a pretty simple situation She loves her husband, her husband loves her Her husband got drunk and cheated on her, he confessed and apologized himself! As far as we know (from the information provided by the OP) the guy is extremely remorseful and has promised not to do it ever again. So why are people here asking her to dump the guy?! He made one mistake when he was drunk, and there's strong indication that he will not stray again, especially if she can make it very clear what she'd do if it happens again. Forgive the guy already. I've no idea why people here can be so cynical, but unless these vengeful, embittered vixens here can assure you they'd provide a perfect man for you to re-marry, treat such advice as pure bullcrap. Don't get me wrong, sexual infidelity is wrong, but it's still forgivable especially when there's a strong case for remorse. |
@Inferis register at www.xsellize.com There's a section for cracking cydia apps in the forums. The've managed to crack irealsms, Quicksms, Mysms. |
@funky for MTN i use APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net user: web pass: web For Zain i use APN: internet.ng.celtel.com user: internet Pass: internet Mind you i'm postpaid with Zain, so i dunno if this works for prepaid. Glo is still a mixed bag, i think. I haven't been able to get glo working since firmware 1.x. I haven't tried in a while, though. |
flyuche:Ah, i see you've backtracked from 'i'm older and richer than you' to your normal self. A wise choice indeed. au contraire, mon ami. my iPhone gives me great joy indeed. Why else would i have just bought an iPhone 3G? Why else would i bench my once-vaunted HTC TyTN, that i bought for the then princely sum of 130k? You don't see me hanging out on Nokia threads, hating on Nokia phones. But you're here, on an iPhone thread, taking time out to scour the internet for negative news about the device. So which of us do you think paints the picture of dissatisfaction? |
flyuche:http://www.reuters.com/article/technologyNews/idUSTRE4AQ1K620081127 TOKYO (Reuters) - Nokia, the world's biggest mobile phone maker, said on Thursday it will stop selling mobile phones in Japan except for its luxury Vertu brand after struggling to expand its presence. Japan is the world's fourth largest mobile phone market after the United States, China and India. But it makes up only a tiny part of sales at Nokia, whose products have failed to lure customers away from more sophisticated Japanese ones. Mobile phone companies also see limited scope for growth in Japan, where 109 million subscribers, or some 85 percent of the population, already own a mobile phone. In addition, a new sales model based on higher handset prices is expected to slash annual mobile phone sales in Japan by some 20 percent. The quirks of Japan's mobile phone market have prevented foreign companies, including Nokia's rivals such as Samsung Electronics and LG, from successfully targeting Japanese consumers. Most of the mobile phones used in Japan are part of third-generation networks and boast features such as TV broadcasting and electronic payment functions. This makes it tough for foreign manufacturers to compete with domestic handsets. Foreign companies, excluding Sony Ericsson, only occupy around 5 percent of Japan's mobile phone market, according to IDC Japan, a research firm. Japanese manufacturers, in turn, have only a small presence outside their home market. The point there is that non-japanese companies struggle mightily to sell Phones in Japan. AS the article says, japanese phone have long had many advanced features not found in western targeted phones. As far as the average Japanese user is concerned, things like live TV and emoji are non-negotiable killer apps in any phone. I find it funny that you who have claimed in the past to have been in Japan are apparently oblivious to this fact. Or were you just lying? You take a general issue Japanese consumers have with 99% of western designed mobile phones and paint it as if it's a drawback to the iPhone. What does that make you? At this stage, either you lied about being in japan/Asia or you're just up to your typical trollish pranks. flyuche:As someone in his late twenties, 'old enough to be my dad' puts you in at least your 40s. So what the hell is a 40 year old geezer doing trolling on an online log? And why do you always fail to show the wisdom and experience that advanced age is supposed to bring you? You've consistently showed reasoning ability on par with a teenager. Please for your own sake kindly keep your age to yourself. As for the money angle, please don't make me laugh. I could afford to pay my way through a 'british university' since i stepped out of NYSC 4 years ago. please refer to my earlier comments about showing your age in your arguments. flyuche: |
flyuche:More apt to say any phone that did not support emoji and lacked features such as 1seg TV would not be appreciated in Japan, no matter the maker. Western markets have little need for such things and they LOVE the iPhone. You're here on a Nigerian website, talking to people who have westernized values about what japanese people want? I'm not sure what prompted your frankly stupid statement on Symbian's marketshare in Japan. Symbian is not Nokia. As it stands, Nokia branded phones in Japan hold about 1% marketshare in JApan, hence Nokia's decision to pull out completely. I've noticed how condescending you sound when you refer to things other people do that do not appeal to you. People queued up to buy a gadget they liked. As far as you're concerned, that makes them 'jobless'. I once mentioned i use my Iphone to play games when i'm bored only for you to launch into the 'games are childish' speech. How old are you, anyway? And yes, you're a troll. We know you settled for an E71 because the iPhone was too expensive for your taste. All fine and good, and i agree the E71 is an excellent phone. So why do you need reassurance for your purchase? Why hop around on threads like these doing your best to sneer at the device you failed to get? |
Here we go Download iPhone PC Suite 2.2.1.82 here http://rapidshare.com/files/169104941/iphone_pc_suite_2.2.1.82.rar This version is in English, so it's fit for purpose Extract to a folder and run the .exe file to launch the PC suite.
