@texazzpete,
what is more than intellectual shallowness and bankcruptcy other than for you critizise a write up when you could not substantiate it or take the pain of presenting a contrary and enlightened view, you might as well hold your peace forever, since you lack basic fact or perhaps you re too lazy to embark on necessary intellectual exercise to disproof my post. A sweeping comdemnation is least expected of any scholar that worth its salt, you sound more like a borehole theorist.

As for the catholic church, i don't think you re more of a catholic than myself,, even a beginner iin Reformation history will no doubt attest to the facts.
Is the burden then on me to provide an enlightened view to a totally absurd write up?
intelligent discourse means that both sides of the conversation are intelligent and logical.

You should be educated enough to know that you back up any allegations/accusations you make.
You make the following unsubstantiated claims

1. JFK killed because he wasn't protestant.
2. The early settlers in America left England because of interference from the Vatican
3. Al Gore was rigged out of the US presidential elections.
4. The republican party consists of the most advantaged people in the US.
5. There were many struggles between the catholic Church and the protestants 'throughout American history'

There are numerous more hair-brained theories you produced that should not have survived even a cursory attempt at research,

You, my friend, are full of hot air. You self-importantly claimed to have reached this revelation after reading many books, yet when it came to time to prove your drivel, you quote two writers in nigerian Guardian. Why?

If you really are as well-read as you claim (that's debateable, considering the fact that your article is full of pseudo-intellectual claptrap) you would have done some research. And if you think you truly deserve an intellectual debate, then hold up your end. Write an article that shows some appreciable level of intelligence, not this mish-mash of shadowy conspiracy theories and hidden plots.

@texazzpete smiley, Honestly I have played and ended Zelda - Ocarina of time, And almost finished Zelda Majora's mask (Skull kid guy) but got 2 busy 2, stopped @ the Zora egg arc with the Zora guitar guy's mask, Zelda is a wonderful game but MGS's Kojima breaks the fourth wall so much to let you think you're in d game, which makes MGS more perfect and Makes Legend of Zelda 2nd only 2 MGS. I recommend MGS, Zelda, Final fantasy, Halo and Splinter Cell 2 Everyone.
lol. MGS does NOT make you think you're in the game, it has a great story (MGS 1) but it's characters are too surreal and out-of-this world to make you connect totally. Add to that the preachy nature of the game and see what you get.
if anything, MGS makes you think you're watching a movie, albeit one that you have some control over. MGS 2 cutscenes were so plentiful, people thought the game was playing them and not the other way around.

Zelda Ocarina of Time however is a spellbinding, breathtaking game, with gorgeous graphics at the time, an engaging story that made YOu feel like the hero and several endearing characters.

Gamespot.com
Ocarina of Time definitely follows in the footsteps of the previous games, and the result is a game that can't be called anything other than flawless.
http://www.gamespot.com/n64/adventure/legendofzeldaoot/review.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=gssummary&tag=summary;review

The game scored a metacritic ranking of 99/100

MGS is highly ranked also, but it scores lower with the critics. the only people that give it a 100% rating are biased (Official Playstation Magazine)
http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/psx/metalgearsolid?q=metal%20gear%20solid#critics

No Game can compare with Ocarina of Time.

THIS is why Nigeria is going backwards. People put their personal comfort ahead of what is morally right.
This is how Environmental Sanitation, a period set aside to keep the environment clean was abused and neglected, because people do not see the harm in doing it.

This issue should not even cause this level of debate. The Government spends money reprinting damaged mint and spraying does some damage to the Naira note.

The Government has made sevral appeals, several campaigns designed to curb naira abuse. it has had Zero effect. The only solution is to make a law so people will be forced to obey.

Some people are encouraging the Nigerian govt to spend billions in making stronger notes just so they can continue this degrading act. Why??

When it comes down to it, all we see in this topic is a bunch of selfish Nigerians who can only think of themselves and not their country.

Pity, really.

Now, to your links.
the PS3 outsold the xbox 360, just for this month, but that's no-doubt helped by xbox 360 shortages (xbox 360 sold hundreds of thousands of units more than the Ps3 during the crucial december holidays)
Far more worrying to Sony is the low attach rate, with only one PS3 game in the top 10. COD4 on the xbox 360 was the highest on that list for 3 months in a row.

Here's the rub

December 2007 NPD hardware sales

HW Sales
System December 2007, Annual 2007
PlayStation 2 1.1 million, 3.97 million
PlayStation 3 797.6
K, 2.56 million
PlayStation Portable 1.06 million, 3.82 million
Xbox 360 1.26 million, 4.62 million
Wii 1.35 million, 6.29 million
Nintendo DS 2.47 million, 8.50 million

http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=250636

The xbox 360 sold 1.26 mil to the PS3s 790k units in December. Hence the shortage of 360s available. that's why the PS3 outsold the 360 for the first time ever.

So?
it's a safe bet that 98% of those that bought xbox 360s bought it solely to play games.
Most PS3 owners didn't buy the console for movies either. Blu-ray is still a whole lot more expensive than conventional DVDs, and the difference in quality isn't exactly night and day.

if you needed a cheap blu-ray player, fine.
if you wanted a games console, that's a whole new ball game entirely.

While you'll see an increase in PS3 sales due to the fact that it's also blu-ray player, that doens't help sony much. Sony loses money on the hardware, but makes money on software sales. People buying PS3s solely to play Blu-ray discs wont make much money for sony.

I happen to agree with your reasoning for why people trample those notes. I mean try change up the notes with Euros or dollars and the reaction might be different. If the CBN would spend more time uping the value of the naira and less time trying to legislate to the people what they can do with their money and what they can not, may be we might be able to get a change in the trend. If I was at a party where dollars were sprayed and being trampled like that, I would dive in to pick those suckers up for self.
Spraying money is a thing of ostentation, to flaunt wealth to ll and sundry. Believe me, dollars WILL get sprayed if you're in the right party.

So the very fact that I would prefer the government adopt better money printing techniques instead of trying to impeach on the people's freedom means I am UNMOVEDhuh come on!!!
Good. So instead of the cheaper step of instilling public discipline and acountability by banning the terrible act of spraying money (among other means of defacing the Naira), you advocate Nigerian taxpayers money be used to re-print and recirculate much of our currency, right? This, despite the well-documented fact the printing polymer notes costs way more than paper currency?

Your past posts have indicated you live and work in the US. ergo, it's easy to conclude that you do not pay taxes to Nigeria. If you were doing so, you'd have refuted my assumption.

Now, tell me something i do not know. in your opinion how many cellotaped dollar notes have you come across in the US? This for my personal enlightenment even if it doesn't prove my point, so please reply.

An opinion poll for bachelors and sprinsters on money spraying? who will support non-spraying of the naira at his or her wedding. and the married people of this forum, will you support non-spraying of money at your children's wedding?

I set the ball rolling by giving my answer to question one because I am a bachelor. I will not support non-spraying
of money at my wedding. it's part of the fun! It's part of our culture, we created it and we love it. Paper money was made by Colonists and so not in our culture, somebody said, but right there on the American continent we spray dollars in Nigerian parties. we created a culture with their paper money, simple! A scene in the movie 'Phat Girls' confirms that.

As long as the naira is not set on fire, let it make event thick!
naturally there will always be people irredeemably set to disobey the law, to go against what is right and just.

By all means, spray money. just know you've lost the moral right to condemn any of our leaders for their misdeeds.

The most important thing now is what to do going forward. And contrary to what the 'Angry Soldier' is saying, pulling out now would be the worst thing to happen to Iraq. old wounds have been opened, and a complete US withrawal at this point will not make anything better.

When those 7 (?) students were slaughteredby cultists in OAU, did it appear on CNN?

As for 'any student going on a killing spree', people have killed for trivial reasons. A cult war started in my uni in 2002 because two students were arguing over a copy of Tupac's 'all Eyez on Me' cd. One guy shot the other, fighting started and before the dust settled 6 people were dead.

A recurring point these guys have been making is that damaged money never hurt anyone.
