Politics › Re: FFK: Bill And Melinda Gates Are Satanic, Demonic by texazzpete(m): 7:14am On May 04, 2020
Meninmen:
My point is, Bill Gates should allow health authorities and companies do their job of developing a vaccine and/or drug for COVID-19 without his constant talk of how a vaccine that has not be discovered will be administered.
This is absolutely pointless drivel, and showcases why NIGERIA is in such a state.
Discussing the mode of vaccination does not impede work to develop a vaccine. In fact, Bill Gates contributes BILLIONS to that effort, so he’s helping more than any single individual globally.

There’s no harm in talking about logistics now. In fact, it is highly recommended. Unlike diseases like Malaria, Covid 19 is a global threat and It will be a massive effort indeed to roll out vaccination globally so the world can move on past this episode.

Waiting until the vaccine trials are completed before planning logistics makes no sense. But that’s how most Nigerian politicians reason, so it seems you’ve learnt the wrong lessons.

Family › Re: What Comes With Marrying The Breadwinner Of A Family? by texazzpete(m): 6:26am On Apr 19, 2020
VivleBriella:
Good day everyone

I've been a guest for a couple of years now, created an account to seek advice

My dear nairalanders, does it always end well marrying the Breadwinner of a family? He's the last born with 4 elder siblings but they all depend on him.

Yes, I knew he was the Breadwinner from day one but I thought with time, everyone else will be able to stand on their own, but it hasn't happened yet, we've dated for 3yrs now and he doesn't support me financially. I don't complain but he feels entitled to my money and when I get tired of him always asking me to lend him some money and decide to say no, he nags and tells me I'm not being supportive enough.

This is driving me really crazy cause he reminded me of how unsupportive I've been to him and his family, he's driving me insane, you can't possibly put the responsibility of your family on my shoulders, that's crazy and insensitive, over the years, I've borrowed him nothing less than 500k which I know for sure he's never giving back.

Is it normal to be in a parasitic relationship whereby the female remains the host that's being fed on?

I'm only 24 while he's 31.
Run far away from that leech. Don’t make the daft mistake of marrying him.

Some people will buy any rubbish as long as there iPhone logo on it.
To be fair, it’s shipping with the most powerful mobile chipset in the market, and will have guaranteed updates for the next 4 or 5 years. You won’t get that with any $399 Android phone.

And my response is still apt. Coronavirus is highly contagious. This is not a new thing. People with coronavirus have been roaming around Lagos for weeks now.

Local transmission is in effect here. I’m not sure how you consider it a mystery that someone who hasn’t traveled got the virus.

This is why no reasonable man should ever think of marrying a lazy, jobless and non-industrious wife.

Just imagine!

While the husband is busy hustling to make ends for the family, the stupid wife is busy making troubles and bringing financial draining problems for him.

Tufiakwa! Broke ladies are curse and punishment to men.
A man has N5000 in his account with four children and you’re calling him ‘reasonable’?

When people have been claiming that this thing is airborne. They were called fools. You just swallow anything WHO gives you. This man wasnt just infected according to them. He also died. From you will be okay by just washing your hands and using sanitizers and all that shit to aerosol particles. If this is not a scam then lock your windows guys, the air is your enemy
Does the phrase ‘local transmission’ mean anything to you people?

You can get coronavirus from going to your neighborhood supermarket and using the same trolley an infected person had just used.

You could get it from just going to the same church as an infected person and shaking hands with them.

You could get it from your barber who cut the hair of someone who came back from the UK.

Local transmission

Intelligence is not maturity bro. Why rush them into adult hood many of this kids are not prepaid for ... U see a teenager struggling with adult hood life, when the pressure set in ....

Let's say a kid left secondary school at 17. At 21 he is already done with a 4yrs course 22yrs he is done with NYSC.

22yrs in the labour market is still very OK....
And as i said before, people differ. Some people are more mature at 17 than others at 21.

Some people struggle in their late '20s. A guy in my NYSC batch was weeping in his room at 30 because he was afraid of the future after NYSC.

Many of the trolls and clowns here on Nairaland are intheir 20s yet never outgrew their foolishness. And we've just seen a Pastor in his 50s tell the world that 5G is the cause of COVID 19!

If someone is intelligent enough to graduate from University at 18, what's the issue?

What concern of yours is it? Children mature differently, and receive different levels of education. Why should the exceptional be held back?

Why do Nigerians hate the exceptional?

Imagine one clown above wailing about Babcock and Covenant students as if these same young kids don't come out and outshine many of their 'elders' in job interviews.

This thread is largely filled with clowns that don't know there's a difference between surgical masks and just any random piece of cloth.

The standard tests surgical face masks have to take include

1. Bacterial or Viral Filtration Efficiency (BFE/VFE)
2. Differential Pressure test
3. Flammability test
4. Particle filtration efficiency: Latex particle challenge
5. Synthetic blood fluid penetration resistance for face masks

None of which these one will undergo.

Well, i hope all of you that are going 'Nice one my Governor' get to use these ones so those of us that have functional brains can see the standard ones to buy.

Nigerian sycophants sha.
