See how the redeemed spokesman just threw this guy under the boss.

No hard facts but you're committing character assassination by telling the media you "heard the story". Destroying another man's reputation even when you freely admit there was no bad blood when he left.

These people don't act like Christians.

broseme:
The Sole Administrator of Apa Local Government Council Chief Hon. Solomon Oche Danjuma received experts again from Abuja to ascertain the quantity of oil deposits at the site.

After thorough investigation, the engineers discovered that the oil deposits is of commercial quantity but they will still go to Abuja to come back with more experts to open the sealed abandoned oil wells.

A villager Mr Francis Akogwu who worked with the oil company narrated that oil was truly discovered in the place in the 1960s but the whites left because of the civil war that broke out then.

Mr Akogwu said the whites drilled as deep as 14,000ft before they discovered the oil deposits, he also said the whites told them as at that time that the oil deposits is very large and of commercial quantity as it extends to Asaba in Ojantele/Akpete ward, extends to Okpoo in Ikobi Ward and also extends to the large palm trees orchard between Ankpali and Ebugodo in Edikwu Ward II all of Apa Local Government Council.

The villager also gave the name of the oil company as FOREX OIL DRILLING COMPANY and was able to remember the names of two whites then as Raphael and Rusell while over all man was Mr Tu Pusser who always visited them with helicopter.

On his part, the Sole Administrator of Apa LG Chief Hon Solomon Oche Danjuma thanked the experts for always honouring his invitation and also informed them that he always ready to support and meet their demands to ensure the exploration of oil in Apa LG, he charged the host community to always guide the site as no one is permitted to visit the site except they receive instruction from the Council.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

What a silly fable. There's no Oil there. Seems like exploratory drilling was carried out there ages ago and the site was abandoned for lack of viable opportunities.
This local chief brought around some clowns with overralls that just looked at long abandoned surface equipment and decided that there was 'commercial oil'. And you supposedly educated people are swallowing this shite?

No, Mr Villager . His name wasn't 'Mr Tu Pusser'. He was the TOOL PUSHER!! cheesy cheesy

These people crack me up. THis is what a Tool Pusher does (basically a rig manager, or manager responsible for drilling ops)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tool_pusher

A tool pusher is certainly not the person to talk about size, extent and commercial viability of an oil find. And if there was any such deposit in place, it would have long since been exploited decades ago.

It grieves me that Nigerians are so gullible and foolish.

Maybe that's love

Then north
Are you in the habit of picking up outliers to justify your manufactured points?
My friend's mother told him not to marry anyone outside their Igbo tribe...does it make sense to take that case and extrapolate it to claim all Igbo people are xenophobic?

There are some landlords in lagos that hesitate to rent to Igbo people. There are even more out there that couldn't care a hoot where you come from.

I don't see any difference between Igbo's, Biafra, IPOB and even MASSOB they are all one and have a common identity in there desire for self determination.
Business have made me travel to the rising Biafran country, In the course of my several business trips, our team stayed with the local people, artisans, designers, traders etc and every point they won't fail to let us know about the Biafran movement. Men, women, Youths and children they have believe in Biafra than the country of nig.

The colours of Biafra are proudly shown, painted on walls, stickers on public transport, magazine Biafra etc.

What I understand in everything I hv seen in the country of nig is that the Nig people have a mighty hatred for the Biafran people.
Since that is the case why not have them get there own country.

The international community is taking interest in the Biafran movement, they are also building relationships globally.

With the way the president of the country of nig is staying and people are being killed and is not condemning it. Foreign countries, ours has warned there citizens to be cautious of going to North nig
Where I live in Lagos, nobody hates Igbo people. I lived in Port Harcourt for 9 years. Never saw a single person commit an act of intolerance against someone else because he was a south Easterner.

I grew up in Benin. Igbo people were not being persecuted there.

When you imbecilic clowns come up with this 'Nigerians hate the Igbos' rubbish, I just laugh.

There are of course some tribalistic asswipes out there (those also exist among the Igbos) but In large parts of the country, there is no thematic hatred for Igbo people.

Boycotting their beef won't stop them from grazing in southern lands. In fact, they'll only have more cows to care for... meaning more chances for conflict.

However, I do agree that we are cowards and are greedy; otherwise, this won't be an issue in the first place.
Boycotting their beef will hurt them financially. They cannot and will not graze cattle indefinitely. That is NOT their way.

Their entire way of life is centered around taking cattle from the north to sell in the south, grazing and feeding the cattle as they go. When traders stop buying their beef or buying them dirt cheap, that culture shock will force them to make changes...or at least force their sponsors to make them change for the better.

But southerners like their Nkwobi and Beef suya too much.

Just remember that anytime you eat beef suya, there is perhaps a 5% chance that you're supporting a murderer.

Lol. Your statement implies Fulani are the only ones capable of rearing cows.

This inefficiently run business of theirs wouldn't survive modern day competition. Nothing stops southern state governments to go into pig, cow, poultry etc farming on a large scale.

The only reason these fuckers are in business is because southerners are foolish people who would rather fight each other than come together and work towards a sustainable knowledge based society.
No. my post plainly implies what currently happens. Please do not waste our time with 'potential'. There are currently no plans from any southern group or state to start modern cattle ranching.
There is nothing in my post that implies that only fulanis can rear cattle in NIGERIA.

Bottom line is, most of our beef comes from this destructive practice. If we had an ounce of conviction at all, we would boycott beef. That would decisively force the Miyeti guys to chance their ways.

But as always , we lack the balls to see things through, and we are ruled by our greed.

I don't understand why the entire Miyetti Allah group hasn't faced firing squad by now. A group that threatened an entire State.

And most people here are actually supporting them for reconciliation after killing 800+ people in one location. Foolish people.

Why couldn't the fulani fuckers press charges when they felt wronged or cheated? Normal people don't go on a rampage and kill thousands of women and children.

The fulani herdsmen, Miyetti Allah and any of their sympathizers are all fucking bastards!
This group exists because you people love your beef. Majority of the beef you eat is reared in this fashion.

seguno2:
So nothing has changed between Buhari and Jonathan?
Interesting!!!
Well, it depends.

Depends on if NNPC has a reasonable explanation for what the withheld funds were used for, and if such explanation passes audit.
The independent audit of the NNPC under the previous administration threw up many irregularities and some obvious cases of fraud.

Either way, it's a clear failure on Buhari's part to nip this issue in the bud. The NNPC was supposed to pay that money to the federation account first then request budgeted funds for their expenses and tasks. Not to spend at source.

Goes to highlight how poor the anti-corruption fight is and how mediocre this administration is at building institutions to check fraud.

Is the Sanusi allegation different from this one?
You know the original $49 billion in Sanusi's memo to GEJ?
The term he used was 'unremitted funds'. These funds are often a pool for people to steal from.

Basically, this is the same thing Sanusi's initial memo was based on.
Politics › Re: $4.2 Billion Missing In NNPC Under Buhari – US Governance Report by texazzpete(m): 12:37pm On Dec 30, 2016
'NNPC withheld' is not the same thing as 'money is missing'.

It's laughable how those who were calling Sanusi names for complaining about NNPC withholding money are now holding this up as evidence of corruption.

Hypocrites.

That said, extremely disappointed in Buhari for not cleaning up this loophole. I thought the TSA and NNPC reforms were meant to close these out.
Business › Re: Government Raises Import Duties On Consumable, Luxury Goods by texazzpete(m): 10:23am On Dec 29, 2016
9jakohai:
Why raise tariffs? Because right now, we do not have enough forex.

And if we start throwing away forex in the name of imports, we might end up being like Zimbabwe.

Yes, GEJ did not do that because oil prices were high, and we had enough forex to do what we wanted to do. Now the oil prices are low...and we do not have the freedom to do what we want to do like before. The seven fat years are over, the seven lean years have started.

And if you read the article, you would have seen the bit where government is planning to reduce tariffs on industrial components. That would help local industries well well.(Speaking of cars, they should also do what Innoson suggested, and reduce tariffs on things like engines and other components.).

Better still would be govt improving public transport like railways, and waterways...so that we rely less on cars. That reduces the demand for cars. I don't even mind them taking a loan for that.

And let's be frank. This our economic policy since independence where we earn forex from selling raw materials, and use the kudi to import our needs has to change. We cannot continue like that forever. This goes beyond politics, and into the realm of common sense. We have to do everything right now to earn forex for this country at a rate higher than how we spend it.
Government can reduce the demand on our Forex by fixing the damn refineries.

Oh, I forgot. That requires the Government to actually govern properly.
They can also cut loopholes by trimming our over bloated budget. But they'd rather pass the cost on to the citizenry.

The Nigerian out there works hard, round the clock. Pays taxes. And despite that, the Nigerian state fails to fix roads, provide power and adequate security. So the Nigerian out there has to provide these things on his own, costing him much needed cash.

Then on top of that, insult is added to injury by the FG forcing the price of vehicles upwards. Isn't that double jeopardy? Handing over brand new cars to former presidents and politician flunkies while making it impossible for a civil seevabt to buy any car made in the last 5 years!

Thank you for taking the time to type out long term solutions like railways or water transport. Thank you for your blind optimism about an industrial revolution in NIGERIA, but that is not supported by historical performance.

We need more money as a nation, but not at the expense of the regular joe.
