FredN: Nothing wrong with his comments
We all have our different ways we react to grief. Akwa Ibom state is one of the truly christian states with almost 100% Christian population in Nigeria and in a sad event like this, it isn't out of place for an official of the state to give a faith based reassurance to its citizenry
America is a successful democracy yet Presidents still say God bless America
Atheists like to use events like these to support their beliefs, I personally think they have a point, but on the flip side, I have seen so much more miracles than tragedies as well which supports my faith. ....
In the end the evidence to believe in God greatly supersedes the reasons for doubt and the thirst for more knowledge has only but humbled great thinkers on the infinite reasons to know there is a God A 'Christian state' where innocent children are branded 'witches' and hunted down and tortured. |

hollowpot15684: But you will pay for fuel, Insurance, Uber 25% fee and also pay back the car loan... all out of this 300k over a period of 30month. there are also times you don't make up to 300k... and as a businessman don't forget the ±5% on investment due to risk, damages and unforeseen circumstances.. before you know it, you have become a slave of the moment and struggling to make up with life and also after the 30month you realize you can actually do better stuff with your life.
do you realize you are the ignorant one? This 300k figure I quote is PROFIT, ignorant one. After Uber's cut, fuel etc. My friend's Uber car makes him 200k a month in profit...if he was driving it himself, he can make 300k after deductions. There will be times when one will make below 300k, and times when one makes ABOVE that figure. There will be issues, mechanic expenses etc, but those are still issues most people face. Even if one were to say 'only' 200k monthly to cater for unexpected issues, that's still MUCH higher than the starting salary of the vast majority of employed Nigerian graduates. hollowpot15684: before you know it, you have become a slave of the moment and struggling to make up with life and also after the 30month you realize you can actually do better stuff with your life. After the 30 months, you wholly own the car and can comfortably continue to use it to make money. Or hire a driver and let him make money for you while you face other things. 'better things' like what? Teaching, marketing jobs? MMM? Ignorant fellow |

If not for the legions of paid marketers here on Nairaland, why would this even be a topic?
Same deal Chivita made with United. You approach City, give them a boatload of money and a phone the guy will dump in the bin soon enough and you get to take a picture for endorsement. In return, all City has to do is to assign a random marketing guy to take a photo and also hand over a 50 pound jersey with 5 pound name customization.
City will sign this same deal with a Chin Chin maker if you can afford a couple of hundred thousands pounds.
Fans hailing this move are funny...they should spend that time asking Tecno to ensure they provide updates for their phones. When you buy the Phantom 6, it ships with Android 6.0. You are NOT guaranteed an update to 7.0 (highly unlikely to happen). |

TappGroupNG: I was sent the phantom 6 phone to experience and I wanted to know what the hype around the phone was for. I can tell you that I was blown away and even began 'preaching' about the phone to friends and family. I will highlight a list of the things I have experienced:
1). TYPE C CHARGER: I wish this charger came with all phones because I was so impressed with this charger; first of all it is multi-dimensional (has detachable two and three-ports so you phone can fit in any socket). This charger also charges very fast. This will bring me to my second experience with the phone
2). BATTERY: The battery lasts! I did not have steady power the week I got the phone so when power came on I was able to charge the phone for 30 minutes. You would not believe that the battery lasted steady for five days! I was wondering what kind of jazz they used on the phone to make it that way.
3). CAMERA: This phone's camera quality is the best I've ever seen( I am not lying). The camera was so sharp. I will post pictures I took with the phone at the end of this post. I tried taking pictures from miles away and even from a close angle and the camera captured it accurately.
4). APPS: When I heard that they packed 10 processors on this phone I was wondering how they could do it. But then I used the phone and I really understood why it was so powerful! You can leave so many apps running on the device and it's work perfectly. The phone has a very wide range of apps that can be downloaded from the play store especially video-related apps and it'll work without hassles.
5). SLIM DESIGN: I got the gold-colored phone and it was so slim. When I first got it I was skeptical at whether it will perform all the things I heard that the phone could do but I can tell you it did that and so much more. All you have been hearing about the tecno phantom 6 is not a lie at all. The phone is slim and packs 10 processors; and has everything you need in a phone and much more.
6). SOFTWARE UPDATE FUNCTION: A lot of people used to complain that tecno phones do not give the function of updating their IOS to something higher so they want to root but this time the tecno engineers took note of that and made that option available.
All I can say is that I was impressed so far with the phone; all my family members and friends that saw me with the phone want to buy it because they've seen the quality. Well done tecno for this amazing device. All these paid marketers Tecno keeps churning out to 'review' their phones...is this how they plan to dominate the region? Even more disgusting are the obvious, childish lies...including using the phone for 5 days on a single charge. I only wish Tecno paid people who know the first thing about gadgets. Why will anyone take the word of someone who mistakes Android for iOS and thinks there are 10 processors in the phone? |

Other than that, If they were sacked as an outcome of an investigation started because of a newspaper report, then all I can see here is the beginning of a very long, brutal and messy court case which the lecturers are bound to win. U don't wake up and sack a federal civil servant so easily, based on hear say and rumours. You seem confused. On one hand, you say they may have been sacked following INVESTIGATIONS. You should rather blame God that said it the Bible:
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21 KJV
Or are you that dumb that you didn't know God said so? Yes. Death and life because one can sin with the tongue and go to hell. Or speak good things and go to heaven. Not that someone will make a casual statement and it will lead to the deaths of many people in the plane. Fathers, mothers, children, brothers... So YOU are the one dumbly misinterpreting the Bible. AKBliv010: How much cheaper? I don't disagree it may be less due to the higher taxes paid in UK but what about items going on sale here bringing it lower than buying from US.
All I'm saying is don't rule out UK. For instance PS4 pro UK MSRP £350, US MSRP $400. As per ABOKIFX difference is N11k. For someone who has N200k for gaming console that pesin no dey roast...11K won't break the bank.
A Parvum M-ATX pc case cost $199.99 but £140 in UK, as per abokifx it's N14k less to buy from UK. You make a good point about the differences not being that much, but that usually applies when one buys things as relatively cheap as the PS4 Pro. And when the manufacturer takes the step to ensure the UK price differential is minimal. Order something like the GTX 1070 or 1080 or a HTC Vive and you'll feel the bite harder. From my experience, the sales/deals in the US are often much better than that in GB and the EU, and I say this as someone who knows his way around HotUKDeals. Not ruling out the UK sha. Convenience and ease of transportation down are sometimes the most important factors to consider. |
