garfield1: Not true.apc claimed they won and brought a figure showing if they follow pdp calculations5,they won by 1000.apc attacked several places pdp won and demanded for cancellations but the court refused and only cancelled places apc won The court canceled illegal results. These canceled polling units had issues of a massive overvoting. I personally don't see a case for APC. Though you never can tell as the judiciary is now a toy for the presidency |

You hypocrite only know when the court sacks PDP or LP . . Haven't you heard of times when the Appeal overturn the decision of the Tribunal? Just pray this would be an exception. Cos it seems the Appeal court cases are decided by the current government |

Politics › Re: Appeal Court Reserves Judgment On Nasarawa Guber Judgment by Teymanhenry(f): 5:10pm On Nov 18, 2023 |
Politicstoday: Governor Sule's Grounds Of Appeal Just On Technicalities *** According to Babajide Kolade-Otitoju of TVC, “it is not the work of the Judges to proof your petition or defence”. In the case of Nasarawa State, David Ombugadu of the People's Democratic Party(PDP) at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal(GEPT) provided polling unit by polling unit results of the areas he was shortchanged in the 2023 gubernatorial election. On the other hand, the All Progressives Congress(APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) could not provide different results to proof the declaration that returned Governor Abdullahi Sule.
The court is not a father Christmas, as such, the Tribunal has to look the way of substantive evidence. It was also noted by a senior Advocate, Mr John Matthew, that the wrong computation could have been avoided if the electoral umpire, INEC did their job well. With all the opportunities INEC and APC had during the sittings of the Tribunal, they failed to provide any witness or any documentary fact as to how they came out with the over sixty thousand votes that gave APC victory and returned Governor Sule elected. With the only evidences provided by PDP's Ombugadu, the Tribunal just recomputed the results and declared that he got the majority of valid votes. The grounds of Appeal of Governor Sule, APC and INEC are just on technicalities but not the substance or merit of the petition or defence. It's evident that the PDP won but you never can tell what is really happening behind the scene. |

Thegoodone13: . If it happens like this, half of people that voted for obi will never vote for Atiku. Let Atiku and kuwakoso support Obi in 2027 and presidential candidate will come from north in 2031. It's a process. If Obi is patient enough, he'll become the president of Nigeria. But not like this |
Politics › Re: LP Welcomes Atiku’s Merger Proposal, NNPP Gives Condition by Teymanhenry(f): 7:02am On Nov 16, 2023 |
yinkus6750: They should keep on dreaming. 2027 is by the corner. Selfish interest will never allow the merger to be successful. The three former candidates, Atiku, Obi & Kwakeanso, should shelve their personal ambitions, and bring out a neutral credible candidate as the merged parties presidential candidate. But is that possible ? Attiku for President, Obi for Vice and a Yoruba name for Senate. If this merger happens this year or early next year, it'll force the hands of the FG to put the people at heart even more. |

Properties › Re: Statistics Of Women Per Region Who Own A House With Title In Nigeria by Teymanhenry(f): 7:06am On Nov 12, 2023 |
PHIPEX: There is a close relationship between this stats and Divorce rate. The higher the divorce rate, the higher the potential for a woman to own a property IN HER OWN NAME. Why should my wife own a property in her own name if we are happily married, the least is co-ownership of property between the husband and the wife.
It also relates to the high rate of polygamy, women have higher tendency to own property in their own name if the husband is polygamous. In that case each wife tries to secure the future of their own children. Statistically, South East is least in polygamy in Nigeria because of the influence of Christianity, so their women will be the least in owning landed property in their own names. You've got brains man |
