Some rider ehn.
I am just about showing a rider not to take drivers as low people. I have not been in a good mood to work today but this nonsense is happening when I am now ready.
Got a request by 12.30pm on dot, the rider is not out as at the time of this post. And the main reason for waiting this long is because it's a long trip. Waiting till she is ready and keep posting her that I am on my way for 30mins if she has the patience before she realizes that the guy has done a payback grin. I wish to see her mood when I do this to her.
She even had the gut to ask me to leave if I can't wait any longer. Yet I waited for more than 40mins
Lol... Are u still waiting ?
If yes
Put on ur other app n zoom off once u get a request. Else u might wait till ....

grin week days only ? (35k a week)
Or weekends inclusive (49kk a week)

70k means 17k5 wage to the driver

Therefore the owner is left with either

Week days only (35k - 17.5k = 17.5k weekly)
Or
Weekends inclusive ( 49k - 17.5k = 31.5k weekly)

Drivers will prefer the weekdays only to a have days to rest.

Owners will prefer all days to earn more and no rest for d driver.

My opinion, stick to the weekly remittance of your 30k / 35k. And keep doing ur car maintainance yourself
Meaning a day u don't work skip the 7k for that day. Hmmmm

So does this explain why rentals are collected in advance? What say you about drivers that pick up vehicles, mess it up, default payments and simply drop and move on? Will you rather the Partner be in a weak negotiating position?

I think someone proffered a solution up there. Pay advanced rental but get an inspection done on the car you want to pick. If you are sure you won't default, you should have no qualms paying.

My drivers do pay, and I keep them happy. Everyone wins.
That will not solve the problem of drivers defaulting. A driver pays up for a week ahead. Work 7days and unable to might up that amount. Do u think he will return the car in good fate or hold onto the car to cover up his expenses b4 returning the car.

I have witness 2 scenarios. Police was involved... The driver even liar that my friend,'s car gave him some problems.

Desperate bad drivers are ready to drop that cash knowing their intentions.

Note: some share sometimes ago about a guy who rents his car and in return hire it to SARS. Now he makes more than the owner and earn more but never defaults and car in bad shape. Car owner mostly can't inspect their cars more than ones a month, reminder. Is he a smart driver?

TheCar:
Why do car owners collect security deposit?

Why can't drivers make upfront payment for rentals?

Why can't we get credit score for drivers who want postpaid service?

Why can't we have vehicle inspection center?

When we asked the right questions, we get the right answers, with the right answers we make progress.

Why do car owners collect security deposit?

Security deposit arises when the rate of payment default sky-rocketed. With the increased rate of payment default, investors need a solution because without weekly rental, return on investment would suffer. Therefore a security deposit is a driver commitment not to default or start making upfront payment.

Rental payments are supposed to be upfront payment. I don't know who started this terrible idea of collecting rental after instead of before for car owners.

Why can't drivers make upfront payment for rentals?

After you have inspect the car and confirmed that it's in a good mechanical condition and good for business, what stops you from making upfront payment.

We do house inspection before renting an apartment. Why do we make payment upfront for rented apartment? Why don't we start a crusade to start making house rental postpaid.

Why can't we have a CREDIT BUREAU to enable an investor get a credit score of a driver who want postpaid service?

Before any financial house extend any credit to you, they do customer profiling and ensure you have the capabilities to repay before giving you such money. Why don't we have such agency in Car-Owner/Driver relationship. Since a driver is only interested in paying after collecting the car, how do the car owner ensure such driver make payment as at when due.

Why can't we have vehicle inspection center?

Why can't driver-partner form an association, then agree to appoint any choose auto repair centre as inspection centre for their members. Cars need to be certified okay before any member collect it on rental.

Why can't driver-partner make upfront rental payment?
1. There is nothing wrong with upfront payment. But u can't use same agreement documents for deliverys.

2. Why compare house rentage to car hire. The house is yearly rentals and if uu are to demand yearly rent ages or cars. That a mouth can get a good car with that amount while yearly rentals cant get u a house.

3. A driver is ur employee therefore upfront is not required from an employee. When a car is on hire. Then you can pay upforny for the use of the car knowing full well that the hirer is not your employee.
Car hire option is available all over the states

4. When u say security deposit or caution fee, which is often refundable. This makes alot of sense because its not the expected weekly delivery or remittance made by drivers. And it should be very low to rental amount

5. When u hire a car and pay upfront. The agreements and totally diff from that of rentages. Hirer do no repair of any other than fuel, use and return. Owner/ fleet manage do all repairs 100%

Good afternoon my people, I will like to share my little experience with you guys yesterday on taxify. I got a request yesterday from Abule-egba to checview estate lekki, we left 1:42pm till 5:15pm we are in agege train station, to my surprise I decided to check the calculating price just to look at the price before I proceed I got #3700.. I was wow rubbish for more than 3hrs not knowing the app has stop counting. The rider ask me to continue the trip. To cut the stories short. We got to lekki 7:30pm. I decided to end the trip I got #3700. I proceeded on price reviews still the same amount.

I told my rider to give #7200 and she agreed, but later her guy gave me 10k for compensation. But to my own surprise. When I check my app was 00 the money wasn't registered as if offline trips. Please I need advice in case of next time. Thanks
Since u did a review, Taxify will call your call , confirm the fare calculated and the amount given to you.

Then the amount given to you will be added back to your app and they will take of their 15% from the 10k if they get to know 10k was given to u.

That's it

I keep saying it that its only a fool and a desperate driver that will drop 30k or thereabout simply because he wants to collect a vehicle to drive. If you dont hv any evil intention why demand for upfront payment from a driver when the car has not yet hit the road.
From my own point of you, if I'm to give a driver my car why he pays the upfront. I should test asured that I ve no power over him for the next 1 week cos he already paid in advance.

On the other hand. I can easily summon a driver to bring my car right away and he will. Only that will we may might to settle the day he was unable to work

Hello. To the well informed about e-hailing business, please help address the following.
1. I have a toyota camry 2003 model and want to register it for (a) Uber (b) Taxify .How do I go about it?
2. How long will the registration process take for me to start operation.
3. Kindly list acceptable and reliable phones on both platforms.
4. As a newbie who stays around Shogunle opposite Ikeja GRA and somehow close to the airport, Where do I situate myself to begin the day.
1. For uber, visit their website and follow the instruction, then go for inspection at any car45 office around u. As for Taxify, visit their inspection center in lekki first then u will be told what next to do from there.

2. Uber might take a week. Taxify a day if u go early

3. Android Os from 6.0

4. U will get a request from your house or better still. Driver down to Maryland mende

I hope that helps

Drivers with me do pay advanced rentals too. Initially it wasn't so, but then partners instituted it when incidence of defaults became too high. Just to protect the Partner's investment. I have no qualms about it.

I think the most important thing is to be fair to all parties involved, and I try to ensure that at all times.
