MB is no doubt an amazing car Brand and one of the most satisfying to drive and own. If you've driven one you'll understand. However, BMW, Porsche and other luxury car brands are equally exciting to drive. The thing about Nigerians is that we love following one thing at any particular time, if you remember the Hummer craze of d last decade, you'll understand.
In a few years from now all these Benz craze will die down and Nigerians will worship another brand.

These 91million Nigerians use public transport which is already expensive, they also have to buy food and we all know the price of food is largely influenced by the price of fuel.
Removing subsidy will just make people suffer much more.

I've made sure that all restrictions are off - Data and app restrictions.

Check if Auto-sync is off and put it on.

I believe this is true. I got a new sim 5 days ago (0901). Double data only worked once and that was it.

Did you switch to another tariff plan? That can also disable the double data, happened to my brother some time ago.

With the ongoing "trade/tech war" between China and the US, I'm honestly not surprised.

If the Ethiopian Airways crash is similar to that of Lion Air (both of which were 737 max 8 planes) then it's probably more of a pilot error than the plane's. You see, Boeing installed a new security system that some of these pilots failed to learn, it's called MCAS. It is currently the most probable cause of the Lion Air crash, and if confirmed to be true, it'll mean all the pilots had to do to avoid the crash was to push two switches.

If it's the case also for Ethiopian Airways, then it'll be cheaper to educate pilots on the new systems, especially the ones that have the "I've been flying 737s for years" attitude.

But if there's another fault, especially one that can be traced to all other 737 max 8s, then instant grounding is the right choice.

This is the reason why countries like USA and Canada have not grounded the plane yet.

Teaching/Education. I got my sibling to do BSc/BEd Chemistry.He moaned to death. On graduating with a solid 2.1, I got him over to the UK to study for a 1 Year MSc, whilst doing this, we got his certificates accredited, he secured a teaching job in a UK private secondary school that secured him work permit. Did I mention medical students were mocking my sibling when he was doing his education undergraduate degree and his girlfriend who was a nursing student (now working as a nurse in London)? Those medical students are now hapless doctors in dilapidated Nigerian hospitals.

Funny situation, I bought an item on AE, let's say item A, it was on small packets, it didn't come within d stipulated time, buyer protection was even running out. I decided to be patient especially as the seller was cooperative.

Two days to d end of my buyer protection, I opened dispute for refund after informing the seller.

AE agreed and I got my refund yesterday.

Today, I went to collect another item(item B) at my PO only to see item A as well. Is there any way I can return the money to d seller?

There is no advantage as long as you're in Nigeria. Unless of course you have a near infinite supply of internet.

Why on earth must upgrades be sent from hardware manufacturers instead of via the OS?

Concentrate on perfecting the Nexus hardware, make it affordable, then send out update to devices via OS.

Anytime new OS version comes out, Samsung and co will release new phones with a little +1 bump-up on camera mega pixel. Same old shit with new price cux it now has a new OS version.

Good idea but it's not as easy as you think. Android is open source, meaning OEMs can add their own skin/designs and features to deir phones, something they always do to differentiate their user experience from other brands.
When dey do that it's impossible for Google to send updates to d phones because it won't be compatible. So it's d responsibility of d OEM to now make a compatible version of d new update. This can be time consuming so most will just move it to deir next phone instead, unless maybe it's a flagship phone.
Also, Google stopped making Nexus devices for like 3 generations now, they now make Pixels, and the experience is lit, save for some bugs tho(just like every oda phone).
If you want direct OS updates from Google on OEM devices, you can get an Android One device, where d OS is pure un-aldultered Android. Companies like Xiaomi and co offer such devices.
Regardless, lots of companies update their phones quite regularly irrespective of price, e.g Nokia.
