Everyone is entitled to his opinion. Mentioning Cameroon makes me remember two times Nigeria was robbed of the nation's cup by the referee who officiated the match between Nigeria and Cameron.

I will try and remember the two years later and the incidents. But I know Henry Nwoso scored a beautiful header which was denied by the referee. It was also the period that the head of football in Africa was headed by a Cameronian.

No doubt, Cameron is a very good football nation. They had their best team in the time of Roger Miller and Samuel Eto.

I remember that game. One of the most beautiful football game I have never seen.
From that day, I have never forgot the name of Henry Nwoso. This guy was phenomenal in the midfield.
If I remember his Jersey was number 8.
This was AFCON 1988 in Morocco.
But, the funny part, I can't remember the name of any SE in 2010 or 2014 expect the goalkeeper.

That team could have reached at least semi final if not for the alleged sell out. I have watched it over and over again. Why did Italy negotiate that match with Nigeria if they think they could beat us.

Corruption is what is killing our football.

Sometimes, they prefer to lose at the early stage so they can share the remaining money budgeted for the rest of the competition.

Like I have said before, it is mostly Nigerians who may perceived the SE of 94 as the best team that Africa has ever produced.
But, as for the rest of us outside Nigeria, Cameroun 90 is one of the few top if not the best African team ever.
A lot of people outside Nigeria don't even remember or talk about the SE of 94.
At least people are still talking about the Team of Zambia 93-94 that came as substitute to the team that die on the crash.
It would be close to impossible to convince someone who isn't a Nigerian that the SE of 94 is the best team ever on the continent.

But the Super Eagle of that set could play any team in the world without any form of inferiority in any department

We had one of the best midfielder in the person of J J Okocha. Finidi George was also the best No 7 in the world at a particular time.

Virtually every department of the team was good.

It was over confidence that made the team to lose to Denmark in 1998 after defeating Spain in their group match.

Nigeria isn’t Africa.
The SE of 1994 may be the best team in Nigeria history but they fall short of becoming the best team in Africa history.
You have African teams that had performed better than the SE of 94 in the world cup .

We need facts and not opinion.
Reaching result is equally important because anyone can display an outstanding performance but without result this performance would be in vain.
That is why I always believe that they may have been players who were better than Messi, Maradona and Pèle but we never heard of those players for lack of results. Without result, it all become subjective.

You have to be a Nigerian to talk about the SE as the best in Africa history because no one else on the continent would see the SE of 94 on that lens

The Super Eagles of 1994 is still the best team Africa had ever had. Italy who later won the world cup that year never dominated the super eagles. But the Moroccans were completely dominated in their match against Portugal.

Our Super Eagles should have won the cup that year if not for the alleged sale of that match to Italy. I think I believe Bonfere Joe after watching the match repeatedly. I am still very angry that our players can sell their birthday for a plate of food. What a shame.

I am praying that the glory days will come back. NFF is destroying our football with interference of player selection.

For Portugal in the sense that....they will be playing against a team who is motivated after their historic qualification against Spain..a team who defends well and has a good keeper.

For Morocco....they will be playing against a team who is more mature and experience than Spain and a team who plays with a strong will to win the WC....we can see it in the way they unexpectedly destroyed Switzerland...the highest win so far in the knockout stages...

I can't think of any Asian country outside South Korea and Japan that has anything resembling a decent team .

We're not going to flood the world cup with the likes of Vietnam and Mongolia, just to get fair representation.

If in addition to those 5 nations, we had Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Algeria, and Mali in Qatar, who is to say that one of them will not reach semi-final or final?
