If yes, then you can go after him with a good lawyer and probably get his account garnished or him to at least be forced to be paying you small small other than an outright loss but you messed up trusting someone you never met.

Early last year, I meet a guy on this plant form. One thing lead to another and we decided to do business together. I parted with him half a million naira to execute the business with the hope to get back my money and the profit in 3 months..it was actually a mini export business. Two months after I paid him the money into his account, he told me that he have made some gains and would want to initiate another transaction to increase the gain. I was not comfortable with the idea but I said OK....two months down the line, he started complaining of of exchange rate, how the dollar was high, that once dollar comes down he will exchange the money and give me my own share..5 months later around November, I called his no to enquire how things were going and his no was off. Around Feb.this year, I was going through my phone contact and I found his second no. I called it instantly and he told me he was defrauded of 5 million naira and that he want to sell some of his properties like land and other asses to give me back the money.....one months later, I called the lines and both are off to date.. This guy stays in Ibadan while I reside in east...
Please help and advice me on what to do..I really need my money back .

I am a young married man with 2 kids. The marriage is 6yrs now. Due to the situation of the country, we’ve not been staying together. I hustle in a University environment in one of the states in Southwest while she works as a freelance for some organizations in Lagos.

I normally come home (Lagos) on monthly basis. But during this lockdown, I have been in Lagos with my family.

Prior to our marriage, there is this guy she met when we had some misunderstanding. They started a date but later called it off when we settled. She didn’t give me the details but based on what I read on her phone back then, I knew they made out together. The said guy is now in Port Harcourt but I am aware he normally comes to Lagos.

Just today, I heard my wife giving someone a description of where they will meet somewhere in Agege (where she uses as her office). I was curious to know the person. I didn’t ask her because she would find a story to cover up. I found a way to check her phone and saw that her ex - the said guy was the one who called. May I say that we have fought over this guy several times even before and after our marriage. She won’t let this guy be in her past. She’s either calling the guy or the guy is calling her. This time, I chose not to raise my voice but monitor her closely. She left home for work today. I may not be able to give details but every surrounding clue indicates that my wife has a date today. She returned home and I found a way to check her whatsapp but alas she has deleted her chats with the guy.

Just this night again, she received a call from another man asking her when she would come to his office. She once told me that the man was asking her out. In all these, I want to believe my wife is up to something. Infidelity is the last I would accept in this marriage.

Should I confront her with all these observations? Please, I am confused.

Very true the part about having to change the dollar before paying into your dorm acct is the most annoying bit, but some banks allow you send WU or MG, they just make you sign the slip and debit ur NGN acct but lots of limits Dey

nigeria is mainly to recieve money.its not easy to send money out of nigeria or what we call outbound money.even paypal wey dem talk say e easy to use to pay money to ur clients outside nigeria does not work in reality.Nigeria can only recieve.The easiest way to send money outside nigeria is have a domicilary account but then u have to change ur naira to dollar and from what i right now in nigeria its very very very very expensive and very very difficult to change ur naira to dollar cos the exchange rate right now is so damm high and even if u have the purchase power to do it the bank will still put hurdles at the front at u.They would rather u go meet aboki wey the bank arrange for u for black market to change the dollar cos then both the bank and aboki go make their gain.wen u outside naija its very easy to send money back home.in the comfort of ur bedroom u can do it.Things don modernise.Many banks have their personal hausa money chnagers that change dollars for their bank customers and the banks get their cuts from it.

You’re quite right, there’s limits on how much you can send out of Nigeria via WU & Moneygram & how frequently too but it’s quite easy to be honest, especially with Wema Bank, while I was still in Nigeria, I used it to send money to my BM quite frequently

Very true but it would actually be faster than the process of getting a good and willing buyer for either of the buildings and then the process of actually completing the place because one might estimate she needs 4m to complete the place to habitable standards and because of the current uncertain state of the economy she ends up needing a lot more than that. It happened to me in 2018, nonsense contractor told me I would only need 400k to renovate an apartment a tenant of mine had moved out of and left in terrible shape, by the time I got to tile installations again for the 3 bedroom place, I had spent over 1m, I just started making profits off the place this year but the standard of the place was worth the money spent.

Very true, the goal would be to find a developer who would be held to stringent rules based on the MoU signed between them, hence why I advised she have a good lawyer if she chooses that route but I think if she looks into it, depending on the location and it’s selling point, she could get one or two individuals who have spare 5-10m and are looking to tie it up somewhere. But she would need to be on beat so they do not take advantage of her

As regards travelling abroad yes 1 million or less can get you there but the question is do you have a plan when you do get there and how would you sustain yourself, do you have family or friends who would accommodate you temporarily without a second thought, not the ones who will not pick up when immigration calls them at point of entry to verify if you’d be staying with them. If yes, then 1m will conveniently get you there, you just have to worry about your visa application process especially the bank statement bit of it but plenty ways around that. And I say this because I have always done all my visa applications myself, and I never spent beyond 300k in my life for any visa application inclusive of medicals which typically cost me the most part, na ticket be the real expense.

Two things,
You could either find a real estate developer who would invest and help complete both for a shared ratio of the generated revenue in terms of rent for a few years and then the property would be handed over fully back to you, note you would retain ownership and have a fully developed property while it is also appreciating in value for a few years. But you need to make sure you have a competent lawyer draft your agreement with the said developer. Please people do it even abroad.

Or
You could sell one and use the funds to start completing the other but I would tell you from experience what you estimate you would need is never what you would truly need to finish that building and you also have to think of running costs so it is also best you try to rent a part of it out to generate money

On the 6th of august (few days ago), she chatted me up, telling me she is pregnant, 6 weeks pregnant... When i counted it, June 10 (the last time we were together) to august 6 (the day she confirmed being 6 weeks pregnant) is almost 2 months not to talk of the fact that she saw her period exactly 20 days after we got down. I told her all this but she insisted i'm the one responsible for it.

Please, with this timeline, is it possible I am the one responsible for the pregnancy?

June 10 (got down)
June 30 (saw her period)
August 6 (6 weeks pregnant)

Also, I need to add this, earlier this year, she claimed she was pregnant and was bugging me, when I asked for proof and test result, she couldn't provide any, later it was obvious she was lying and she said she thought she was pregnant and was scared hence why she was bugging me, she apologized and begged for days before i forgave her.

Update: today, I decided to take it all on myself, from the various advices I've received I thought it would be a very good idea to clear myself because im so sure im not responsible for that stuff, so I traveled all the way to her state without telling her before, when I got there, I called her to bring the copy of those tests and scans she sent me on WhatsApp (cuz she blurred the name of the hospital and phone). She told me it's with her friend, I asked her why, she said she doesn't want to take it home so her mum wouldn't see it.

we met in an area close to the hospital, I told her we would go collect the scan report but before then she should come do both pregnancy test and scan at the hospital which will show the number of weeks, she immediately stepped aside and placed a call, it was to her mum, when she gave me the phone to speak to her mum, i was like what the hell... I dont know her mum, we never talked, why did she involve her, etc so I didn't talk to her mum, we only dated for few months and it wasn't to the point where she should start telling me to meet her mum and stufss... It was at that moment i realized her mum was aware she was pregnant. She had already told her mum to come,!,! I already made up my mind I wasnt seeing her mum.

The doctor took her blood sample for the PT, and then they said she has to be pressed (urine) before the can do the scan, she said she wasnt pressed, I got her water so she could drink, she refused to drink it. While talking to her about the whole thing, I told her we should go collect the scan from her friend, while on our way, she got angry because of the things I said and left. I called her several times, she didnt pick. When she picked up, i asked her to come back so we can complete the test and she should come alone. Later when she called me she was around, she didn't come to the hospital but stayed elsewhere, when i insisted and asked her to come to the hospital to complete the scan, then she angrily said. "I'm not responsible, that I should leave her alone and go back" In short, she refused to come, I went back to the hospital to collect the P.T she did and its positive, the hospital refunded the money for the scan since she did not want to come for it and the doctor herself said, it's not possible I got her pregnant with all the things i explained.

I left immediately, while on my way, I saw her, but she was with someone (later got to know its her mum), I looked away and left. Now, she started sending me messages that i disrespected her mum and her elder sister was sending me different annoying messages too, backing her up. I'm really exhausted. Please advice!


Update: Today, I called her and asked if she'd be chanced to do the scan today, she said she'll call me back and dropped my call. (I guess she placed a call to her sis), few minutes later, her sister called me but I didn't pick up then I called her back and ask her why is her sister calling me, simple question, would you be able to do the scan today? she started asking if I'm around already or not, I didn't answer her then she said she'll be busy at some point. Since she won't be busy for the whole of today, you should be able to do it, she said no problem, I should come then I said Ok, we are on our way, I'm coming with a Doctor, a lawyer and we'll do the scan in 3 different random hospitals, don't worry, all bills on me. She dropped the call immediately then I called her back, she started stammering and asking me why will I bring a Doctor and a Lawyer, I told her she shouldn't panic as long as all the things she has said and the scan reports and stuffs she sent me have no discrepancy. We are on our way!

Next thing is, "see don't come again, don't come again, you already said you're not responsible for it" I was like but you still insist I am the one so I want us to clear the issue today. Then she started saying if I come I wont see her blah blah blah. I called her sister, she started banging my calls. She chatted my cousin whom she knows with me, that she has said it many times that I'm not the one and she's saying it again, that I'm not the one. My cousin told her I'm taking the matter up already and all he has been telling me is falling on my deaf ears, that she should say the truth before we leave, that's the only way he can help her. Then she sent a voice note to him declaring that I'm not the one responsible, she was shaking throughout the recording. She sent some messages too admitting that. Her sister also chatted me saying 'I should leave her sister alone and go with my wahala that they are not forcing it on me blah blah blah'. I ensured I recorded all the calls and the messages they sent in case they act funny later. Now, they have run away.

I cant believe that this actually happens to people and its happening to me. I only see it in movies. I'm very happy the truth has been revealed and I learnt a lot of lessons, im definitely going to wise up with my dealings with any woman henceforth, the summary of the lesson I learnt is FEAR WOMEN. No it wont, I was also a victim with a very popular instagram store with an O, bought a supposedly brand new 11 in September, phone was randomly typing characters, I contacted them and was told that they will send the phone to dubai and I will wait or collect a used samsung s5 in the meantime, i said what, for a phone i paid 350k for & I had to go cause trouble at their Lekki store with soldiers. The owner called an ACP trying to harass me, I carried 3 PS4s and told them I wont return it till they replace the phone or gave me a higher version even if I had to add some money to it. On my way home I went to the police station to report myself before they go change story for my head, I had to commend the NPF that day, DPO Maroko Lekki was amazing, judged the matter with fairness and instructed that they replace the phone within 24hrs. I got invited to their office in CV, next day I went with two soldiers and got me my current 11 pro, added 30k or so and got a reliable phone, the current one hasnt given me any issues in the last one year almost. I heard them saying they could reseal the old one and resell because it was still very beautiful
