Actually it was my friend who was chasing a 500m project but would need to use almost 200m to settle. They told him not to worry even if he cant finish the project they would still be the ones to sign off and pass him, After he declined they started threatening him that if he does not take their terms they will blacklist him from govt projects for life
WTF...so na by force to sink over 200M of personal money into a wuruwuru project, and if he does not life time ban...the guts on these civil servants sha.

Lmao.. Going by zones

I wonder which zone should be getting the hulk of investment between the SS, Lagos, SW and the NW.

Seeing as the SS is the zone that powers the nation 😁
What are the major capital investments in Rivers that provides the next highest IGR after Lagos? Akwa-Ibom? All the federal roads leading out of Edo State are death traps.

How much of the national IGR is coming from Lagos alone

When you consider how much of the National resources has been spent on fighting terrorism in the NE, we can argue they have used their own share of the resources and even more

NE and SE are likely to be the least populated regions in the country. while NW and SW are the most populated.
I'm not against Lagos getting special status when it comes to certain capital project allocation, but more has to be done to bring other parts of the country up to speed.

200 Million persons cannot rely on the value a state that's less than 1% of the country's land mass provides...the country needs viable economic zones in more state's than we presently have. You can't in one breath complain about Lagos' population, and in another support policies that'd inevitably make other states unviable.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 4:03pm On Sep 03, 2025
There's no way Lagos' economic potentials, however large it might become will cater for the welfare of over 200 million Nigerians, it's too small and too clannish. The only reason Tinubu is doing whatever he's doing is to increase the value of the investments he and his cronies have made in the state over the years, and he's doing it with resources that should have been more evenly distributed across the rest of the country.

I can't imagine the South East and North East getting what's less than 3% of federal capital allocation and people are not up in arms...a clear recipe for disaster.

If you know someone(on a personal level) in the recepient bank who has access, u can reason with him. Explain what happened to him and give him the name of that person who received the account. He will help u look at his biodata and spool his phone number out.

Call the guy on his personal phone number and.talk to him about the money you sent to his account. Normally the person would freak out and start wondering how you got his number by mere transfer to his account.

PS: Never ever reveal how you got his number to him else you will land the bank guy who helped you in serious gbege.

Use street reason him and tell him you have your ways and means of getting things down. Let him know the option he has is to give his bank instruction to reverse Ur money or what might come after may affect his entire bank accounts and not just this particular bank account.

If this doesn't work, then you don't have a choice but to go through the official channels of soughting out a court order.
Thanks man, went to the bank this morning...made complaint, the customer service person described the account that received the money as "okay" and active, and said the money was there.

A lien was placed on the account since Sunday, she said I should be calm and see what comes of the bank mediation and once the owner gives consent, the funds will be reversed, so finger crossed. She said this is better than a court order which would be a long process..but eitherway she said I'd get the money.

good luck man

when i am sending money to strangers i always ask them what their account name is
It was just a bad mistake, the person sent name and account, wasn't careful enough.

I don't mind following through the process, and waiting...it's just that 20% upfront payment thing that bugs me...would explore the bank mediation route first and if that doesn't work would consider the court order.

Saw a Facebook profile that matches the three names on the account...last activity on the FB account was 2017 and the person has just 58 friends on the account.

Please has anyone successfully gotten their money back after a wrong transfer?

Transferred money from my Opay to a Stanbic IBTC account that had the same account number as the Sterling account I was supposed to transfer to.

Did the transfer Saturday night, and didn't notice until Sunday morning...was told I'd need a court order for them to freeze the account...please anybody that has gone through this process and knows what the steps needed would be should please share.

Na people wey dey abroad fit dey enjoy walking lifestyle and that's because their cities were designed to accomodate such lifestyle choices, our cities are not designed for that, too dusty, unsafe and lacking shade.

Used to do daily walking, and light runs earlier in the year before my schedule got cramped...in Lagos you can do so with some relative safety past 10PM (when the roads are empty), as long as you keep within gated streets, if you're in an estate it'd be easier.

When they knack you £3k per month for nursery fees for 2 children in UK, your church mind will tell you to hang boot. On top that your wife will lose a years earnings each time. We haven't calculated uni fees, bigger house etc. it is fair to say each child puts a responsibility of £100k to £250k on their parents head (if their parents are middle class working parents and not relying on Govt to take care of their children). It is those without work and on benefits that you see borning 4+ children here. Two is the norm. I and 3 of my siblings all have 2 each with no exceptions. My brother in-law an Ogoni man born 2 girls with my sister, when I asked him if he won't go for boy, that's when he became a feminist saying each of his girls is worth 2 boys each grin grin
Even for Naija, big families are way less common, a lot of persons stop at two, and max three.

And u do this whenever u wonna eat egusi?

No, it could be 25K or 20K a day, and this is with him not eating to his satisfaction.

if he's able to push that his pot of soup that barely lasts a day to the next morning, someone that spends around 20-25K eating out a day could be doing a lot of savings. There are lots of persons that live like this...I have a neighbour that the family rarely cook, they order food a lot. A lot of our pablos and tech/crypto bros, live like this too.

A full chicken goes for 8k here, so if I use the chicken to cook a sumptuous pot of egusi assuming I use the 7k for the rest of the ingredients(Which I don't BTW since it's cheaper here). I work so I eat the soup for breakfast, I run back home in my afternoon break to eat my beloved soup and when I return at night I eat the soup again, will the soup finish?
Where is here? A kilo of frozen turkey is 9K, and chicken 6K.

A full chicken ranges between 1.5KG - 3KG, so you're comparing two very different scenarios.

You are tryna refurbish the main argument.

The ish isn’t all about “I can”…it is more of it doesn’t last more than

It isn’t a competition but what is done on a norm and it is absolutely awkward to say a soup of 15k doesn’t last more 24hrs for a bachelor

See ..anyone can burn a 50k soup within 12hrs but wouldn’t on a norms ..na soup u come eat for lifehuh
In a family setting, soup would last at least three days, and possibly more, and that's because the soups would typically be eaten once a day, and at night.

For a bachelor that'd make that soup the base for his meal across a day, it's very possible to run through the soup in one day.
