DissTroy: No. The problem really started with me defending Akpabio based on unfounded accusations. Then came the gaslighting of being paid by him even though, antecedently, nobody has exposed his misdeeds constantly on Nairaland more than I do. Those who asked for evidence were in the minority and I religiously pursued the case like a set target.
Next came the supposed #15 million luxury car gift manufactured out of nowhere.
We need to set the records straight for most parts.
Whether it's the downtrodden or false accusations, most of you do not understand insisting on the right thing even without inducements. I might not be a saint but I am honourable, and vexingly so when insisting on the right things done cost me things I could have easily.
Philanthropist is an abused word in Nigeria. So is this why you keep saying you walk with the high and mighty? You're acting like you didn't have a post history before the Akpabio/Natasha situation. |

DissTroy: You should, even if it's at LGA level. You'd be surprised the difference you'd make.
If we don't say these things sometimes some of you will run away with flawed assumptions. Assumptions like I came online to 10 mentions of you guys (including O.T.) theoretizing on.
Yes, even offline, some folks have accused me of being bankrolled by either politicians or these foreign coys. It's important I put the records straight else false rumours would adorn truth garments. So, let me brag, brother. That's what you guys had coming.
I am not a philanthropist. I'm just doing what is humane and just in my regular citizen capacity. Maybe if you've not been bragging you won't be forced to continuously do more bragging to set the records straight...feels like a problem you created for yourself, so you'd have to keep dealing with it my guy And goodluck proving you're not a philantrophist...can't keep moving like one yet reject being called one. |

DissTroy: I don't. It's in the public domain.
Posting it in another group with some persons in government circle last week was how I discovered a former governor embezzled billions meant for host communities when a representative of the oil companies called me privately on WhatsApp. I say these things publicly.
Oh! You're trying to gaslight me? You spent yesterday trying to prove I am a government stooge but when the facts are being revealed knowing who I really am and you can't hide your, what, jealousy?
Hurts to realize I'm contributing more to Nigeria's development and peace while you complain daily on Nairaland, doesn't it?
I've earned the right to brag. Not many people can do what I do. Not one of you can lay came to a hundredth of what I have done. Lol, I'm not actually, anything wey pass my immediate/extended family, close friends, and maybe neighbours, I no dey really put body like that. I just find it difficult reconciling the personality of a shameless braggart with a philantrophist dedicated to community service. |

DissTroy: Good.
Always remember never to compare yourself with me. You rant daily on Nairaland being pessimistic about the country.
I actively hold leaders accountable, ensure the changes I want seen with my money, fund developmental drives and ensure foreign coys in Nigeria operate peacefully for more for more Foreign Direct Investments, walk with the high and mighty, and turn down inducements to subjugate the will of the people.
Forget Nairaland or the banter we do occasionally, I am socio-politico-economically more impactful than you are. When you've achieved what I have achieved on a societal scale and when your kings and elected leaders praise you publicly for helping better lives of others, we can revisit this conversation. Lol, this will never not read funny. Don't you feel some cringe when you post some of these things, or if not others, this one in particular? |

The bolded part of this post right here proves you’re a liar.
And let’s not forget — you also lied about that so-called N15 million “luxury” car.
You love to brand yourself as a government critic, but let’s be honest — that only happens when the government isn’t working in your favor. In your 10 years post-university, you’ve done nothing but circle government spaces, building your entire livelihood on whatever you can extract — contracts, jobs, handouts, you name it.
It wasn’t that long ago you were bragging about your startups and youth. Fast-forward to now — you’re closer to 40 than your 20s, and there’s not a single successful startup in sight. So when all else fails, becoming an SA to any politician willing to keep your pipelines open is still very much on the table.
Honestly, why settle for being the Temu version of Reno? Are you trying to say Disstroy is paid by the Akwa-Ibom state government to criticize the Akwa-Ibom State government? And that he's been running this gig for the past 10 years? These are damning accusation. |

Roland17: Still hinges on population distribution. For any conversation about Southern independence to succeed, you need the HOR and Senate. Irrespective of party affiliation, guess which region has the most representation in both house? How did they get more senatorial zones? Population. This is why I said earlier that Asiwaju may be revamping the equation to winning elections, which has long term consequences if he succeeds. Assuming what you're suggesting succeeds, won't be the first time a candidate would be winning an election without core Northern votes, Buhari had those core North votes for years and was losing before he made an alliance that saw him over the finish line. |

swiz123: For an institution that takes malpractice seriously, I wonder why they’ve failed to label this as a fraud by the registrar and his appearance in court being discussed.
Oloyede should resign and prove his innocence before the court and when he fails to prove that he had no prior knowledge of the glitch before sending thousands into depression, 10 years minimum should be dropped on his azz. Any serious country would hold a hearing aimed at determining the precise role played by everyone involved in the fiasco. |

Instead of just calling it a horrendous failure by Oloyede, you all try to gaslight people for asking very simple questions
Gloriousgbola was already nailing another Igbo man yesterday, only to find out that the guy had absolutely nothing to do with JAMB. He was only invited to the panel.
People have asked for him to resign, but no. It's better we scrap JAMB, than Oloyede resigns.

GloriousGbola: exams have started and some people have exams clashing with this date. everyone.
the same issue which i had described previously is happening again.
JAMB is trying to avoid setting a full resit for all candidates because of the cost, logistics and disruption. they are going to continue trying but i suspect at some point they are going to have to give up, stop trying to fix the issue , format reinstall [ yes i put that there for theflint1 ] and run a fresh exercise from scratch
Of course if this happens oloyede will have to go, because i suspect he probably committed to to fixing the mess without extrabudgetary allocations. if the last jamb exercise cost 10 billion to administer, he would have to find another 10 billion
he may currently in the second stage of denial - bargaining, hoping for a better outcome The exams should be floated, such that people can come take their exams whenever is convenient within a particular period. I hear this was how the Oyedele guy ran Unilorin during his term as VC, with very little flexibility. JAMB needs a dynamic leader, not a stickler that's bereft of creativity. |

Prof. Oloyede is from North Central. He is well known across the North, he ain't an unknown person.
Cos Flint of NL didn’t know him doesn't mean he is unpopular. Well it's not the Northerners complaining about the way he administered the JAMB exam, neither were they the victims. The people complaining didn't know him before now, so your point of him being targeted before now is dead on arrival. |

OasisX: ......drop the agenda, please. The Head of IT is from Southeast, the Head of Special Duties is also from the Southeast. Are they part of the supposed conspiracy too?!
Why on earth would anyone target a region to fail the exam? To fill UNN with Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba students instead?!
Come on, this nonsensical agenda needs to stop. I know the union seems irreparably broken and revisiting the registry to consider separation might be inevitable. However, I believe doing so honorably and mutually would be a better path forward. But this was proven to be untrue yesterday, as the man in question has been replaced since 2022. You guys are so determined to give this thing an ethnic coloration...don't set Nigeria ablaze. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 6:45am On May 16, 2025 |
OasisX: .......I think this issue has been blown out of proportion. It feels like some people have been waiting for an opportunity to wield their axe against Prof. Oloyede.
The situation is already being given an ethnic coloration, with claims that the glitch was targeted at the Southeast. They’ve even narrowed down the affected areas in Lagos to Igbo-populated communities.
The way and manner in which this matter is being amplified makes it seem like Nigeria is a nation of saints. Are we seriously going to discard all the reforms Oloyede has brought to the agency because of a mistake, though avoidable, that has already been acknowledged and admitted?!
Just imagine if Prof. Yakubu had admitted to a glitch during the last election. Nigeria might have ceased to exist by now. Really? How many Nigerians, maybe outside of the South West, knew of the guy before the whole JAMB fiasco? |

The waiting period is supposed to allow for a review and correction of system errors, unfortunately that is not the case So you mean Oasis couldn't think of this when he made that post? |

CBT should remain true to its name; scripts should be auto-marked, and results displayed instantly upon submission. And how would this have prevented what happened from happening? |

How do we know JAMB batch B will be same standard as JAMB batch A. They might be stricter or laxer These exams are supposed to be standardized, and quality controlled, such that whichever batch of questions you receive would be of the standard for your year. The way they've chosen to go is the right approach, they should have probably given the kids and their families a little time to plan for the new exams, and not fix commencement within a 48hr window. |
