raumdeuter: I am a Tinubu supporter and I will admit that Atiku is the biggest challenger to Tinubu. A merger of Atiku and Obi is the best chance to unseat Tinubu Between you and Elder, I'm not sure who markets Atiku more That boat's sailed already...2023 was the man's surest shot, nobody really cared whether it was North-North transition, they just wanted APC and their madness out, and instead of him to stick to his guns and find a smart way to approach the elections with Obi by his side, he allowed PDP governors like Okowa mislead him. |

So tell me who these Obidients will they vote for Tinubu/Shetimma or Atiku/Obi?
If they stay at home, someone will still win Best believe some will even vote for BAT sef 😁 Atiku/Obi isn't appealing anymore, certainly not after Obi's showing last election...most persons would prefer to ride it with him and see how it goes. Atiku has been stripped too bare. |

[quote author=liveLongNprospa post=135455211]Again what does atiku have to offer Obi? is looking to strip Atiku bare with the intention of leaving him with no choice but to strike a deal. Atiku might eventually be left with no choice but to strike a deal, but if ego and/or guts drive him, he'd work for Peter Obi.
An Atiku/Peter Obi ticket is dead on arrival sha. |

Arguing about this is like a feminist asking why a man retaliate a slap from a woman, is that not the equality they seek? Same goes for Hamas and Palestine, they fvked around and should continue finding out. Which first are you referring to? Cause I know Israel and Palestine have been at it for as long as I can remember. |

Ballzproblem2: Genocide is the most abused word in 21st century.
Israel destroyed Syria defense in a couple of days after assad regime fell ,if they wanted Palestinians dead ,hostages will be the least of their problems, they'll literally break Egypt fence and swing the red sea to escape Israel wrath.
If you want to know what is genocide go and read what ottoman empire did to one million Armenians ,that's what genocide looks like. So people have to wait for Israel to completely or almost completely erase Palestine before they speak up? |

BlueRayDick: That is because in the US almost everyone owns a gun, not here in Nigeria when u see a family man at the wheel with his wife and kinds in the car. I'm sure those police officers would have seen the child in the car, and in their mind it'd be...if you no care for your pikin life, wetin concern me. I seriously doubt US law enforcement would shoot indiscriminately seeing a child in the car. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 9:39am On May 21, 2025 |
The video was disheartening...police officers and law enforcement can be very frustrating to deal with. I'm sure there are more humane and sane ways for our law enforcement officers to go about their jobs, I mean at the point where a child lay bleeding to death, the police officers were more pre-occupied with getting the man arrested and not saving the life of the kid.
Nigeria is a country of people moving outrightly mad sha, cause there's little or no justification for that man's behavior, but then again, could be a case of burnt fuse at that moment...just so sad seeing innocent kids be victims of the system. |

Realizing that terrorists are now releazing videos like this is quite sobering. Juxtaposing this with the recent Netflix documentary on America's capture of Osama Bin Laden makes for an even worse feeling.
Something has to be done about the terrorists ravaging Nigeria, like play like play this guys would have been terrorizing a part of the country and by extension Nigeria as a whole going two decades now.

raumdeuter: Sometimes Nigerians think big grammar equals better understanding. An average American will use basic non complicated, regular conversational grammar to communicate clearly while we want to Obahiagbon our way and think we are better at the language I swear, even the ones that choose to write at a technical level, you just can't compare, they blow us out of the water. You only need check college essays from their highschool students take know what's up. And I don't even know why we're obsessed about countries relaxing requirements for people to enter their country. What percentage of Nigerians can test for English at a band 5 or even 4 level of testing...so they should remove English requirements so that every Okoye would enter their country and begin to struggle to assimilate. No surprise sha, we're a country that isn't used to planning at that level, so we expect other countries to operate like that. |

Bimmarlykay: I believe specifying will further end the confusion...
Luxury is subjective in the automotive world, but I would categorize it as follows-
LUXURY- Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Range Rover, Aston Martin, Porsche, Maybach...
PREMIUM- Lexus, Infiniti,Acura,BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz,Volvo...
MAINSTREAM-Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Volkswagen,Kia.... In all said, some brands like Mercedes-Benz can blur the lines, and even mainstream brands like Toyota offer luxury editions(reason i said luxury is subjective). So Even a 2010 Benz S-class can be more premium than a 2025 Avalon and vice versa.😎
In today's Nigeria, can a 15 million vehicle be described as a luxury vehicle? |

DissTroy: By the way, I had to revisit the luxury car back-and-forth.
Yes, a #15 million car is considered luxury in a country where more 70% live below the poverty line, less than 90% have #500,000 in their bank accounts, and the minimum wage isn't #70,000 uniformly.
How many of you earn #2 million monthly here? Even if you do, it's almost 8 months of your salary untouched. If you have to save up for months, it's a luxury!
How many drive #15 million cars here? Resident in Nigeria, that is.
#15 million is about $12,000. In climes where annual salaries are less than $40,000 annually, it's something.
You live in Nigeria, work everyday jobs and gigs but you think #15 million on a car - not a landed property - is so cheap?
Who exactly are we deceiving? You are all high-flying ballers in hundreds of millions of liquidity? Well, it's Nairaland with a veil of anonymity - you can all claim to be Dangote surrogates here. A vehicle in today's Nigeria is a luxury of sort, but a 15 million vehicle is not a luxury vehicle. In your original post, you referred to the latter, and not the former, you're now trying to make it about the former. Most of the vehicles people are buying for 15M today, less than 5 years ago you'd have gotten them for around 4-5M and nobody would have referred to them as luxury vehicles then, not to mention now that they're more outdated. |

DissTroy: No. The problem really started with me defending Akpabio based on unfounded accusations. Then came the gaslighting of being paid by him even though, antecedently, nobody has exposed his misdeeds constantly on Nairaland more than I do. Those who asked for evidence were in the minority and I religiously pursued the case like a set target.
Next came the supposed #15 million luxury car gift manufactured out of nowhere.
We need to set the records straight for most parts.
Whether it's the downtrodden or false accusations, most of you do not understand insisting on the right thing even without inducements. I might not be a saint but I am honourable, and vexingly so when insisting on the right things done cost me things I could have easily.
Philanthropist is an abused word in Nigeria. So is this why you keep saying you walk with the high and mighty? You're acting like you didn't have a post history before the Akpabio/Natasha situation. |

Yes, even offline, some folks have accused me of being bankrolled by either politicians or these foreign coys. It's important I put the records straight else false rumours would adorn truth garments. So, let me brag, brother. That's what you guys had coming.
I am not a philanthropist. I'm just doing what is humane and just in my regular citizen capacity. Posting it in another group with some persons in government circle last week was how I discovered a former governor embezzled billions meant for host communities when a representative of the oil companies called me privately on WhatsApp. I say these things publicly.
Oh! You're trying to gaslight me? You spent yesterday trying to prove I am a government stooge but when the facts are being revealed knowing who I really am and you can't hide your, what, jealousy?
Hurts to realize I'm contributing more to Nigeria's development and peace while you complain daily on Nairaland, doesn't it?
I've earned the right to brag. Not many people can do what I do. Not one of you can lay came to a hundredth of what I have done. Always remember never to compare yourself with me. You rant daily on Nairaland being pessimistic about the country.
I actively hold leaders accountable, ensure the changes I want seen with my money, fund developmental drives and ensure foreign coys in Nigeria operate peacefully for more for more Foreign Direct Investments, walk with the high and mighty, and turn down inducements to subjugate the will of the people.
Forget Nairaland or the banter we do occasionally, I am socio-politico-economically more impactful than you are. When you've achieved what I have achieved on a societal scale and when your kings and elected leaders praise you publicly for helping better lives of others, we can revisit this conversation. Lol, this will never not read funny. Don't you feel some cringe when you post some of these things, or if not others, this one in particular? |
