Politics › Re: Electoral Act: FG May Go To Court Over Rejected Buhari’s Request - Malami by Themandator: 6:31am On Mar 17, 2022
chiefolododo:
Courts do not have power over bills ,
Courts Do have the power to declare a law illegal. It is one of the ways to amend a law.

As for this law the national assembly cannot amend or delete anything from the act without causing problem for the 2023 election because the condition says any law relating to our election must be in place a year to the election date and another law says the elections must hold some specific period before the actual swearing in date of May 29

If they amend as the president demands and he signs, it becomes a new law affecting those two dates thereby making the entire election illegal

If Buhari signed the law when it was first presented and sent his objection to section 84 they would have had the time to delete it and return for his assent, right now it is no longer possible except by the court which can declare that section illegal without the need for the president to sign anything

When push comes to shove and in times of war, those who have the technical know how are duly separated from those who have "paper"...paper becomes useless at some point in crazy wars like a world war....If you have the raw materials and the technical know-how, u are better off....The US, capitalist system is prioritizing the "paper", which makes sense in normal situations...A good example here is Russia refusing to trade a critical rocket component with the US, even if the US has all the money to pay for it....

Electronic hardware device manufacture is leaving US for china...though the money bhind the research and creation of it is still in the US....same for software...These are the sort of debates Trump was having regarding the migration of car manufacturing companies from Detroit to Mexico...Even if production cost reduces and American investors make more, the technical know-how will leave and with time leave for good.

China wasnt known for hardware research initially...it was just meant to be a porduction outpost for US researched innovations, today they have taken ownership of research, innovation and advancement of these technologies, same for software and india...The source code of your latest windows, IOS, android has more technical input from indians than americans even when the products belong to American companies....with uncheckecked capitalism and extreme focus on investment ahead of techncal know-how, it is just a matter of time before such a country looses even the business side of things.

So I ask, WHY?

Certainly cos Russians does better.

Russia has more active engineers on the International Space Centre. The project was started by Russia before America joined. The first man to land in space was a Russian.

Lastly you must be high on pure water if you the state of New York is Richer than a whole country of Russia. Just go for a Brian check.

This is in answer to your claim that Russia started ISS AND the US later joined

I'm not even talking of nuclear weapon, I'm talking based on history, what they have done in time past and where they will be by now should not be underestimated, they've had past failures and successes which I believe they would have learnt from and strategized better before going into any battle again which might make them more dangerous, I'm not saying they can defeat any country but other countries should be careful and not just underestimate them, they are like a wounded lion who lost a battle and went underground only to come back for a fight, that lion should not be underestimated, likewise Putin should not underestimate the west, my response was mainly to people who were saying that Russian military now is very weak and I was trying to correct them and some even saying our Nigeria military can stand Russia without Nuclear weapon involved...

Politics › Re: The Evil Toll Gates At Onitsha Second Niger Bridge by Themandator: 12:44pm On Mar 15, 2022
Rugaria:
No nation built on nepotism and sectionalism archives her full potential. Infact most promising states around the globe have imploded in the past, under the enermous weight of their iniquitous history full of tribalism, favouritism and grand injustices. This is so, because for the people of any given country to come together and galvanize their collective abilities towards modernizing their state, there must exist a sense of nationalism, patriotism and a common purpose. This can't happen when it has become a government policy to marginalize, antagonize and deprive a certain section that contributes immensely towards the economic growth of the country, her fare share of national projects and recognitions..

A case in point here is the over dramatized Second Niger bridge. In the history of this eternally convulsing amalgam, no project has been so dramatized, so politicized and so unashamedly utilized as a political football by the close minded political class in Abuja, at the detriment of the welfare and greater economic activities in the South East and the South South regions. The drama started way back during the military era, when the aging bridge built by the then Eastern government in the 50s, started to show signs of wear and tear. This bridge was bombed during the Nigeria - Biafra war and was extensively damaged as a result of the endless skirmishes there. For a long time, the bridge has been the only shaky link between the former Eastern Nigeria and the rest of the country. With the economic activities going on in such wonderful places like Onitsha, Aba, Port Harcourt, Owerri and the rest, the enermous economic importance/impact of this bridge can not be over emphasized..

It's against this backdrop, that one is overwhelmingly alarmed at the disdain with which the federal government has carried on with this project over the years. Firstly, under Babangidas administration, a drawing of the bridge was made with plans for a rail crossing. But nothing happened as it rgards construction proper. Obasanjo came in and only laid the foundation stones few hours to his abdication of office in 2007, which was basically nothing but a taunt" to those who considered the bridge an essential project to them! The plan for the rail lines over the bridge was also shelved. Jonathan did start the project but suggested a partnership between the construction companies, the state government and the federal government as it regards the funding. Then came Buhari, whose administration saw the second Niger bridge as the most convenient project to use as a balancing act for his brazen but shameful display of bigotry and classic igbophobia.

The bridge will now have almost a dozen Toll Gates!! This will be the first and only project built under any administration since the coming of civilian rule in 1999, that will demand that those using it will pay for all bills incurred during construction! Ofcourse, it's mainly the people of the South East. There are many projects in the North being handled as we speak, by the federal government that have bigger cost outlays when compared to the second Niger bridge but whose total cost are shouldered entirely by the federal government, even if it means borrowing! A good example is the nearly One trillion Naira Abuja - Zaria - Kano road. Infact, Nigeria has gone on to borrow billions of dollars to erect highways and railways and pipelines to Niger republic, another country! Nigerians as a people will collectively pay for these projects in another country, while the South Easterners, who are going to be the main users of The second Niger bridge, will pay through their noses for EVERY cent used to build that bridge!

"Fellow Nigerians", Is this fair??

Below is The Muhammadu Buhari Toll gates at the yet to be commissioned second Niger bridge:
There was once toll gates in all corners of Nigerian and then one man came and dismantled them all

Let. Them complete it First and put the persons to collect the toll

The reason the entire world leaders are on edge over Putin's volatility and it's potential nuclear consequences, is because they understand what nuclear warfare means. Russia with less than 60 billion dollars defense budget is showing up this and you are having a hard on.. What then would you imagine of somebody that has a defense spending of almost 800 billion dollars?

The only reason the west is hesitant on a direct confrontation with Russia is because it posses a nuclear warhead...... Not that It won't receive the same measure of nuclear warheads response but because lives are not lives... The west value lives of their citizens much more then Russia

Countries like France, Germany, UK and the US won't make nuclear weapons their first response in any war with Russia but it is almost a given that it is going to be the first and last resort of Russia

Know that us alone has 750 military bases out the US and in 80 countries of the world... Where Russia is going to receive it proportionate response from it won't even know

If all 750 begins raining it on Russia no defense system would withstand that... This is even before NATO intervention

While I commend the West's stand (support for Ukraine and sanctions) on Russia based on their unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, they need to know that not giving them a soft landing won't end the war anytime soon.

Russia needs a soft landing so they can have an excuse to stop the invasion. If they keep giving them sanctions without telling them sanctions would be lifted if they stop the war, then Russia no longer has anything to gain even if they stop fighting Ukraine. Putin is probably in regret right now, but shame would prevent him from stopping since there isn't any soft landing in place.

Diplomacy would do the West a great good at this time. If these sanctions persist, Russia would become another North Korea and would be a major threat to world peace. They need to give them a reason to stop fighting the war...
This war is not ending soon... Russia must bleed to death... This is prayer answered for the US

Why don't you Google the history between Russia and Ukraine and the partnership agreement they made on why they can finally be a sovereign country?

And also do research on how the West helped to break it?

Also do research on how for many years Putin had been warning the west to leave Ukraine alone and take away their special forces from off their borders? And how how also warned Ukraine not to gave any partnership with them?

I am sure if the same Russia did the same to Canada, And U.S decided to take over Canada, I am very sure you will support them..very very sure.

Afterall they can do no wrong.

To those who don't know, Russia puts more effort into the ISS than the US and often flies US astronauts to the ISS and brings them back.

Now, Russia is ending all working relationships between them on the ISS, which means the US and their NATO allies can no longer get to the ISS and do their part to keep the ISS in orbit.

So Russia is telling them to find a way to get themselves up there to do their own part of the deal to keep the ISS up there.
SpaceX has been responsible for sending Americans to the station. The only reason these last sets of Americans are returning to earth through Russian shuttle is because that was the means through which they went
