Wen did holding peaceful rally become a crime, I am yet to see a single IPOB member wielding a weapon to cause havoc, am yet to see a single hausa or yoruba in the SE complain of any threat to his life. I have my questions for all those pastors who led people astray to bringing a tyrant to power.
One day the oppressed will have their freedom and the oppressors will live in the agony of their own wickedness You have questions for pastors but not for Fr. Mbaka and his cohorts .... At least, the majority of Nigerian pastors was said to be rooting for President Jonathan during the elections and were accused of being bribrbd by Amaechi. |

198800Mam: *Difference between old time church service and modern time church service.*
1. When the choristers of the old time finish singing, the congregation burst into tears because they sang down the glory, but in the modern, after the Delilahs and Jezebels finish singing, the congregation respond with a clap offering returning Ichabod to Ichabod.
2. In the old, during message, the congregation cry and tell God that they are sorry, but today, as message is going on people drop money, blow whistle and shout "ride on pastor".
3. The old went to Church and the message gave them faith but the modern went to church and the message gave them fake (olive oil, handkerchief, apron, sticker, holy water and calendars of their G. O.)
4.The ancient carried their bible in booklet because they were not ashamed of Jesus but some today carry ipad to church because they feel shy to be identified with Jesus and to such, Jesus will be ashamed of you on the last day.
5. The old go to church with their hair covered with their head ties but the modern cover their hair with Brazillian weavon.
6. During prayers, the ancient close their eyes and give God their whole attention but the modern open their eyes, looking around like armedrobbers and even answers calls during prayers.
7. The old dance godly dance to thanksgiving and offering but the modern is not even afraid to dance doro, awilo and azonto even before the altar.
8. The ancients go to church with their body covered and are focused on inner beauty but the modern wears mini skirt, show everything, and everything on her is artificial and ends up looking like "mermaid". They are prone to falling at the slightest prayer because all she is putting on has a demon attached to it.
9. In the old, sinners go home weeping but today sinners go home rejoicing.
10. The ancients answer altar calls with tears rolling down their faces. The modern do the same chewing gum.
O Lord, revive your work. May revival precede the rapture. God bless you do have a blissful day.
https://mobile.facebook.com/TheLatestGist/posts/1688114168151277?_rdc=1&_rdr Before scripting all these you ought to have gotten scriptural references for all the issues or point you raised , as a grounded christian before asking for a revival ...How has the modem negated the true essence of worship as you saw in so and so verse or you too na one of the weak Christian too? 3. The Bible was written for your guide and instructions... You leant to solve mathematical problems through examples....If you do it they way they did it you will arrive at the answer they got ....Oil was used by the disciples when Jesus sent them out in twos ....Mantles was used from the old testament to the new .. do it with the attitude they did it and you will go home with a testimonial nut you have chosen to take a shot at what is clearly above tour intelligence.....It doesn't work in your hand because it has become a formula rather than a biblical principle ...The coming of Jesus sounded the death knell for formulas in Christian ...Work is what was practiced before the coming of Jesus Christ .. 4. The first proof that you are a baby Christian is this number 4 of yours. ....That you dint know that the preservation of what you know todah as the Bible was made possible by the fact that it followed modern means of communication until now ....Did God write the ten commandments on papers ...How did you come into knowing apnout them ...You are still too young and infantile for serious Christian history 6. The old pray with their eyes closed..... This is nothing but a formula ....To conclude that eyes must be closed during prayers is a fallacy because it has not Bible basis .....It only helps you to maintain focus and reduce distraction ....The man whose eyes are closed but thinking about debt or family problem is no different from the one with eyes opened and starring at others ..... God is a spirit and those who worship him do so in spirit and truth not outward shows ...Men look at the outward to judge but God focuses on the heart ....That was his David emerged ahead of his older brothers 9. If I am to judge you on the basis of your writings I will quickly conclude you are a Christian without biblical knowledge .....A sinner who leaves the house if God crying wither didn't understand where he went to or had the wrong preacher minister to him.... The harlot woman did not leave the presence of Jesus crying .... He that sitteth in the heavenly shall laugh ...The house of God is a house of laughter not sorrow . Your understanding of Christianity is that it is a journey full with lamentations and debilitating fear.... It is not scriptural 10. Answering altar calls crying ...I believe only a dramatist would be crying while receiving deliverance from hell.... It should call for rejoicing knowing that you have about to be pulled out if the grip of the enemy ....You come across as one of those who reckons God is moved by tears ....God is only moved an understanding of his word not tears otherwise those in hell will be full of hope since they are forever gnashing their teeth Go and read your Bible first because the log in your eyes need the scripture to be cleared |

1. Moreso, during the Mo-hit era, 'signing' any artiste was a case of oral agreement which was one of Dbanj's biggest career mistakes: he signed everyone in the Mohits - Dr Sid, Wande Coal, D' Prince, Kayswitch even when Don Jazzy did not really want to do so as he was skeptical of taking such risks. infact, most people didnt know that Dbanj's mother was the most important support the Mohit crew had when Dbanj and Don Jazzy came back to Nigeria - she gave her Maryland house for the entire Mohit crew to stay pending when they hit their success because against all odds and even Dbanj's father reluctance, she supported her son solidly in his quest for music success. Remember 'Why Me' Video? The Toyota Previa in that video was Dbanj's mum car which she gave them to convey themselves around when no one else was there to Dr. Sid was a personal friend to Don Jazzy having known him in the UK ...Sid was with another group led by .... Forgotten the guys name ...... before Jazzy connected with him. ..... I have read wande coal interview On how he joined the group...This was when they were still Mohit...., They were at his school for a show , he went backstage and met them ....He danced since that was what he does back then ....They were amused but Jazzy asked him to sing for them which he did ....There and then he invited him to meet them at mohit and told him he was going to make him a singer instead and the rest is history.... As for his brother, kswtich, I can't really call that signing , it was naturally bound to happen that you hang with your brother and then become an artist .... the same as Jazzy brother Prinde .... Ikechukwu was only associating with them through Dbanj and Jazzy did some tracks for him..... Davido angle is new to me because he was never part of them and nobody in mohit can lay claim of doing anything for him, career wise If he is that successful with signings in the past what then has changed that everyone he signed to his label never made a dent in the industry from the producer he took from tuface to some guys to his brother and the popular Tonto? basilo4312: The way i see it, it wasnt 2014, just a case of slip of tongue on part of Dbanj...guess maybe it was when Davido was 18 or 19.
The Toyota Previa in that video was Dbanj's mum car which she gave them to convey themselves around when no one else was there to support them. She was therefore the biggest investor in Mohit empire when likes of Dbanj and Don Jazzy were penniless and were even ready to sell Mohit to Storm Records for N1 million because they desperately wanted to 'make' it. However, their story changed forever at the Ali Baba Show of 2007!
Dbanj's legendary status in the modern-music era of African music is beyond mere comprehension which was also sealed by MTV based award of Legendary status t him - When the likes of Tuface, Psquare, etc were still charging N50,000 to maximum of N200.000 per show, he increased the stake to N1 million or Nothing and steadily till he started charging N10 million and then music practitioners and artistes' eyes opened
He was the first artiste to get a multi-million Naira endoresoment - Powerfist in 2006 beating Femi Kuti to same endorsement as Femi was the original artistes in PZ's plan before going ahead to clinch Glo's 70 million Naira deal plus a Range Rover and other entitlements
His direct and indirect impact has affected the careers of artistes like Davido, Olamide, Wizkid, Wande Coal, Naeto C, M.I Ikechukwu even the legends like Tuface and Psquare. Go ask them, the mere mention of Dbanj to most of these superstars and they tell you how Dbanj has forever affected their lives and careers (except of course forever bitter minds among them)
Although, others see it as a failed project or misadventure, Dbanj's Good Music signing was infact the deal-breaker for new generation of music artistes - selling new new African music culture to the global market. When you hear some 'ignoramuses' referring to Dbanj as Kanye West houseboy, i just laugh. If only Don Jazzy could see the future...if only he could understand this bullish visionary called Dbanj, they would be conquering Africa and global market together - with Don Jazzy supplying the iconic African percussion sound and stagemaster Dbanj bringing his A-game Enigmatic prowess to the fore - with the two partners writing the names in gold forever in the history of Africa
A young African boy without any major label backing bold enough to cause disruption in the African music industry is now building his own fantastic music business structure post-Mohit to sell the addictive African sound to the global market. I am closely following on what this Dbanj will use the CREAM Platform to develop in the music world. Like he said, you never see him coming through
One word to sum Dbanj: He will never give up in his Quest to be the Coca-cola of music business and the ElChapo grandmaster of African sound movement.
NOTE: This guy i have never met has really been inspiring my quest for success as a business entrepreneur! |

We re just not ready to love forward as a nation.... While not making excuses for the ruling class we must understand that Nigeria's size and system of governance is her undoing . If there was true federalism quality structures like this would abound in the different region according to their prioritisation of education but the case is different ... Money is spent in the wrong project and in the wrong place .... Federally owned schools litters the place with no adequate funding ... If the country reduces the numbers of federally owned institution to one per zone and privatise the remain , the country can then afford the resources to upgrade to 21st learning environment. |

Obaze was an integral member of Peter Obi's Administration.
An excellent diplomat and expert on policy formulations.
He was largely tipped to fly the APGA flag in the last election. But he gave way for Obiano to immerge the candidate.
Now, it's obvious that PDP will win this Election.
With all the flag bearers of APC, APGA and PDP coming from Anambra North, the votes there is divided. But expect Obiano to win with a slight margin.
Anambra Central is the most influential and most populous part of Anambra. The men that matters are from this part of Anambra. Expect PDP to win this area on the strength of Peter Obi's clout and influence.
Anambra South looks to be tilting towards PDP. No thanks to the APC's "betrayal" of Andy Uba. The full machinery of the Uba family, The Offors are now squarely at PDP's disposal. PDP will win this area comfortably.
Overall, PDP will win the Anambra seat. Provided the election holds The Uba with political machinery is Chris and he is not with Andy and can't be bothered about his lose ... Offor is with the incumbent....I don't know where you are getting your Intel's from. |

Science/Technology › Re: Oshiorenoya Agabi Creates Koniku Kore, Computer That Smells Explosives, Cancer by Themandator: 8:01am On Aug 29, 2017 |
mzirawo: NIGERIAN SCIENTIST CREATES A COMPUTER THAT CAN SMELL EXPLOSIVES AND CANCER CELLS source : http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/08/nigerian-scientist-creates-computer.html
Silicon Valley-based Oshi Agabi has unveiled a computer based not on silicon but on mice neurons at the TEDGlobal conference in Tanzania. The system has been trained to recognise the smell of explosives and could be used to replace traditional airport security, he said. .
Eventually the modem-sized device - dubbed Koniku Kore - could provide the brain for future robots. Agabi is attempting to reverse-engineer biology, which already accomplishes this function with a fraction of the power it would take a silicon-based processor.
EYES OF LAGOS learnt that, He launched his start-up Koniku over a year ago, has raised $1m (£800,000) in funding and claims it is already making profits of $10m in deals with the security industry. Koniku Kore is an amalgam of living neurons and silicon, with olfactory capabilities — basically sensors that can detect and recognise smells. .
"You can give the neurons instructions about what to do - in our case we tell it to provide a receptor that can detect explosives." He envisages a future where such devices can be discreetly used at various points in airports, eliminating the need for queues to get through airport security. .
As well as being used for bomb detection, the device could be used to detect illness by sensing markers of a disease in the air molecules that a patient gives off. .
A self-described "scrawny, nerdy kid," Agabi grew up in the suburb of Surulere in Lagos, Nigeria and obtained a Bachelors degree in Physics from University of Lagos. .
He went on to do further studies in physics and neuroscience in Sweden and Switzerland. "One of the things growing up in Lagos imparts in you is grit," he says. "Lagos is a place that demands grit. Growing up there gave me an unconventional way of always looking at problems."
‘A world first’
Agabi said the Koniku Kore device is “a world first” and able to do just that, essentially through breathing in and smelling the air.
He said “major brands”, including those in the travel industry, had signed up and the start-up’s current revenues of $8 million (7 million euros) were expected to leap to $30 million by 2018.
One of the main challenges was finding a way to keep the neurons alive, a secret Agabi did not wish to expand on, saying only they could be kept alive for two years in a lab environment and two months in the device.
As AI improves in leaps and bounds, scientists are trying to make and succeeding in making machines more like our brains, able to learn and understand their surroundings: a prospect that is terrifying for many.
Musk, who has repeatedly warned about the perils of AI making humans obsolete, is working on a new project to implant “neural lace” brain-interface technology to prevent humans becoming like a “house cat” to potential machine masters.
However, Agabi, who grew up in Lagos where he helped his mother sell food on the streets, believes the future of AI lies in making machines more alive.
He believes his company could build a cognitive humanoid system based on synthetic living neurons in the next five to seven years. “It’s not science fiction,” he told AFP.
“We want to build a brain of biological neurons - an autonomous system that has intelligence. We do not want to build a human brain.”
Agabi did a bachelors degree in theoretical physics in Lagos before taking an interest in neuroscience and bio-engineering for his PhD in London.
African innovation at TED
He spoke at the opening session of the four-day TEDGlobal conference, putting African ideas, innovation and creativity in the spotlight with a variety of speakers who each get an 18-minute window to get across their message of choice.
TED - originally known as Technology, Entertainment and Design - has built a global following for its online videos of inspiring talks devoted to “ideas worth spreading”.
The annual international version is taking place in Africa for the first time in a decade with a new crop of “TED Fellows” from the continent to take to the stage.
“This gathering couldn’t come a moment too soon,” said TEDGlobal co-curator Emeka Okafor. “Africa has experienced spectacular economic, demographic and creative growth, but both opportunity and danger are rising at an exponential rate. Our conference will gather the idea catalysts, problem-solvers and change-makers already hard at work here charting Africa’s own path to modernity.” See how much funding he could raise from grants simply because he was in the fight environment and somebody will come here and badmouth Nigerian professors and lecturer when the government is yet to provide a reliable environment for intellectual work or anyone ever heard of grant to buy diesel to power plants from international bodies |

SSBN: FAMILY.
In the late 1970s, shortly after the civil war and early 1980s, a permanent drought ravaged the entire African Sahel. This led to the deaths of thousands. Thousands more emigrated from one region to another freely despite existing inter state borders. It is in this context of crisis that Nigerian populations begin to occupy certain Cameroonian and Chadian islands arising as a result of the drying up of Lake Chad.
But we must realise that for those living in this area, the lines demarcating both countries by Britannia were arbitrary as far as they were concerned. The inhabitants have coexistenced for generations, and were for the most part family. If the settlers, especially Chadian populations live in peace, sharing their useful land and somehow endorsing Nigerian domination? Can we really speak of fixed boundaries in this doubly unstable region?
Shortly thereafter, successive military administrators of Borno State supported this occupation by establishing its domination over territories that theoretically were in Chadian soil. Curiously, the Nigerian settlement does not seem to be considered foreign.
In 1962 the Lake Chad Basin Commission was established. Iron bars 10 km distant from each other were erected in the Lake to serve as effective border demarcation points. People from both sides lived in relative peace.
The gradual withdrawal of the waters of Lake Chad began changing the situation.
CLIMATE CHANGE.
Since the dawn of the twentieth century, the Lake has been receding :23,500 km in 1962. 19,000 km in 1973. Thus in the mid-1990’s, over 30 villages have been created by more than 11,000 Nigerians in the Chadian of Lake Chad. The contentious Darak, located 35km east of the border with Nigeria was originally occupied by Nigeria fisherman who followed the withdrawal of the waters of the lake in the late 1980’s.
PROVOCATION.
image nigeriannation.com On 18 April 1983, in a well planned and rehearsed operation, three thousand Chadian soldiers under the command of Idris Derby invaded and seized 19 Islands in the Lake Chad axis in Borno State. Twenty four hours later six villages in Borno State fell to Chadian troops.
Stunned by this daring unprovoked attack, Nigeria’s President Alhaji Shehu Shagari orders the Commander of the Nigerian Army 3rd Army Division General Muhammadu Buhari to flush out the invaders.
General Buhari, in his capacity as General Officer Comnanding (GOC) augmented his forces with the Nigerian Army 21st Amoured Brigade in Maiduguri.
A skilled military tactician General Buhari resisted the temptation to use Nigeria’s overwhelming superiority in amoury and man power to charge headlong . He knew the Chadians were highly skilled fighters who use their excellent mobility to their advantage. Instead he ordered the Nigerian Army Scout Regiment to recconnitor Chadian military positions.
The Nigerian Army Scout Regiment is the reconnaissance arm of the infantry. Their job is to obtain and disperse viral combat and battlefield information on the enemy under any conditions.
An Army Scout assigned to the 301 Field Artillery Regiment scans the horizon for artillery targets in the vast featureless plains of the Sambisa Forest. Reports from Scouts confirmed the Generals suspicion. Expecting a massive retaliatory attack spearheaded by tanks, the occupying Chadian troops had prepared anti series of tank obstacles on the likely approaches by digging 10 ft trenches around fortified positions. The plan was to lure Nigerian tanks towards the myriad of concealed trenches, making it impossible to navigate. Once trapped the tanks would then be engaged by concealed troops with anti-tank weapons and RPG’s at close range.
SHOCK AND AWE.
With the Intel gathered by scouts the GOC began preparation for a punitive attack. Taking advantage of the night Nigerian troops quitely moved into flanking positions. At day break, the Nigerian Army, under the able Commander General Muhammadu Buhari launched a massive operation to dislodge the invading Chadian forces. 4,000 soldiers besieged Chadian forces on three fronts. As Chadian troops came under relentless artillery bombardment from the eastern flank, Nigerian soldiers in the Western axis began their push to link up with the 3rd strike component in the rear, effectively encircling Chadian forces.
As Chadian casualties mounted General Buhari ordered a temporary halt to the advance, to allow Chadian forces an escape route back into Chad via the northern axis.
Stunned and disoriented by the unexpected attack from seemingly everywhere by Nigeria infantry, Chadian soldiers began to abandoned their positions in a disorganized manner and fled the battlefield in droves, leaving their vehicles and equipment behind.
It was at this moment that Nigerian troops, led by General Buhari gave chase to the fleeing Chadian soldiers. To the General, flushing out the invaders was not enough, he was determined to make a bold statement to the Chadians and teach them a bitter lesson.
Nigerian troops crossed the border into Chadian territory and continued its pursuit. Orders from Nigeria’s President to halt his advance fell on deaf ears. Nigerian troops continued its advance until they were 50 kilometres from the N’Djamena, the Chadian Capital. Facing possible court marshal General Buhari stoped the advance and withdrew his forces.
General Buhari was immediately summoned by the President for disobeying a direct order from the President to stop his advance. In his defence the General claimed in the heat of battle he was unaware he had crossed into Chadian territory.

Once his order was disobeyed he ought to have fired the GOC ....It is in the law that a soldier is no good unless he is under command ... Little reason he was overthrown. |

LordOfNaira: I never said they call it seed faith generally. I said it is a model.
Your belief that occultism cannot give you a 20000 capacity church shows that you are not a Christian at all. Occultism can give you even more than a 20000 capacity church. The Bible never said Satan was not powerful. As a matter of fact, there are Biblical evidence to show that the riches of the world belongs to Satan and he can use it to tempt you.
And please remember that I never said Oyedepo got his wealth through the occult. I only said he is a businessman. A con man. His method of scamming is called seed faith. Like a con man, his tricks are expected to work on some people by chance and these people will go about talking about the con man and thereby bringing in more dummies.
Your friend's miracles happen everywhere, even in other religions who do not even believe in Jesus Christ.
Let me give you an instance. I am a medical doctor. When I still practiced actively, I had one patient who had so much faith in me that anytime she was sick and she saw me, she immediately got well. I cannot claim to have powers or to start cheating her because I know that it was her faith in me that healed her. There is no occultic power that can give you a 20,000 capacity church in different places as a branch even if an entire village was delivered as the sacrifice. If such power exist , we won't be having all the stories of pastors burying humans parts in a rundown church environment to attract people. And certainly Oyedepo wouldn't have been the only one with the heart and courage to come forward. The testimony I stated wasn't that of a rich guy but like majority of the members when they came for the first time, a poor dude who joined the church as a nobody but is today having breakthroughs ..As a matter of fact, it is was frustration that drove me to the church ...When I graduated and was looking for job for years and moving from one prophetic church to another , from prayer home to another . I was invited and I initially refused and was very reluctant because I was already enjoying the comradeship And friendship of the head prophet of the church I was attending then.... But the person persisted and I visited once , listened to the teaching and the rest is history. Not too many people joined winners as 'made' people .... Majority will readily tell you of what has happened since they joined. There is mode or methods in raising funds in the church other than tithe and offering... There is no launching , no harvest , no bazaar, no raffle draws , no AMC, ...I have been there for like four years ...Mot once has anyone been brought to the altsr to make speech before giving anything.....The man says, you don't come to this church to do anything you come to become something.... If your tithe is not working apply to have it returned to you.... You have your tithe booklet ...They actually expect you to record everything you spend in the church in the booklet they give to you.....If it is not working calculate and come forward with it A man that can stand in the pulpit and declare to heaven that may the day it will cross my mind to take advantage of anyone of you never meet me on earth in Jesus name ..., If any man has ever received a call to help this ministry let him proclaim so... How many can swear like that. A man who says to you, until you open the book your destiny remains close...Go for the word, that is where your destiny is...I'd Jesus discovered what was written concerning him by book you can not discovers yours by going around churches. |
