maclatunji: The data they claim is completely free of your viewing channels. It is a bonus and the data will be consumed only when you browse. You can use the data to watch channels like CNN that they don't have the right to air in Nigeria ..Download movies and anything other subject that interest you |

9japrof: TSTV made a tactical mistake, they never had their distribution channels in place before launching.
The incentives for distributors is so poor, why would I pay 4.4 million naira to get 1000 decoder kits only to sell for 5000 naira each meaning investing 4.4 million to earn a paltry sum of 600k. They should do better...
TSTV is an amalgamation of channels, nothing special, a lot of channels on their bouquet are channels being picked by 1.8 meter dish users, e.g the beIN sports, MBC series etc.
Real DTH aggregators own their channel series, e.g multichoice( the owners of DSTV) own the supersport channels, buh TSTV own nothing, they own no channel of their own, only gathering free channels and broadcasting to Nigerians .
The Internet feature they are broadcasting to Nigerians cannot be available in all nigerian states(I pray to be wrong on this) startimes have this feature on the combo box which a lot of their users are not even aware of, some are using it presently in Nigeria and I think that feature can only be used in not more than 5 states in Nigeria.
TSTV if not careful would go the way of HITv, the company have launched into the country running at a loss, that's why the branding and hyping to convince Nigerians to buy, if the sales and turnover anticipated is not achieved, either more money is pumped in to sustain the business or the business would be on a downward spiral.
KweseTV that has been there building structures to ensure distribution channels before launching is still way better and would outlive TSTV in the long run.Kwese even went ahead with their commitment to give out free decoders to thousands of dealers.
NB: the kwese brand is owned by strive masiywa, the brain behind econet wireless and TSTV is even broadcasting one of their channels kwese free sport(KFS) on their bouquet asking you to pay for the channel that kwese is broadcasting for free All this your epistle doesn't mean I am not buying it ...Whether they gather free to air channels or not ...For three thousand I am buying since I need a decoder to access those channels ,anyway ABI since when they dey fly for air anyone don land your house without decoder .... I don't expect them to have their own channels immediately. With time dem go develop the muscle.we like them as them dey By the way if Startimes get data as you talk am and we wey get the dish no no all this while dem dem be fooools

In the emboldened texts in your quote, it said that the sickness shall be a sign as a result of the people not serving the Lord with joyfulness in the heart but for the abundance of things. Sickness is not a sin itself but sometimes a result of sin. Please note sickness is NOT sin itself. All the time Jesus forgave a sin , the sign of the sin was infirmities ... I recalled that in answering this question I stated that their are sicknesses that are as a result of disobedience t God and others that are as a result of our lifestyle. .. nwokoyepraise: It is written in James 5:16 that we should confess our sins to one another for the forgiveness of our sins which proves that it is not wrong for you to confess your sins to somebody and also highlights the efficacy of confession of ones sins to somebody and. Then secondly, if we should confess our sins to someone, wouldn't it be wise to confess it to priest whom Jesus Christ has given the power to forgive sins (John 20:23)? Confessing of ones sins to a Priest has several benefits which includes the receptance of grace which will enable someone to avoid a particular sin and also will enable someone to avoid occasions of sin. For instance, if you are genuinely seeking for righteousness, am sure you will try as much as possible to avoid a particular sin if you seem to be confessing it always during confession. I just pray that God will enlighten you to see and understand what am trying to say. The verse of the scripture you quoted doesn't support what you are explaining Or defending: "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." (Jam 5:16) If you understand the simple grammar , one to another, yo won't be arguing against the instruction of the Bible. If you offend your wife or your parents is it your priest or them that you go to for confession and ask for forgiveness. When meaning is not clear, start from the beginning is the admonition of Bishop Oyedepo concerning the scripture and if you take that route rather than extract a verse and then turn it upside down ,what you will get is that the admonition doesn't support your argument. That scripture was addressing the rich and their ways and attitude... Rather than complain against one another he admonished they pray and confess their faults to one another ....One another is used when when you have more than two people involved ..... He was addressing a congregation. It was like reconciling a community and bringing back brotherhood ... James wasn't asking them to go to a priest or the apostles. Here is the James 5 from 9 to 16 "Do not complain against one another, my friends, so that God will not judge you. The Judge is near, ready to appear. My friends, remember the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. Take them as examples of patient endurance under suffering. We call them happy because they endured. You have heard of Job's patience, and you know how the Lord provided for him in the end. For the Lord is full of mercy and compassion. Above all, my friends, do not use an oath when you make a promise. Do not swear by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Say only "Yes" when you mean yes, and "No" when you mean no, and then you will not come under God's judgment. Are any among you in trouble? They should pray. Are any among you happy? They should sing praises. Are any among you sick? They should send for the church elders, who will pray for them and rub olive oil on them in the name of the Lord. This prayer made in faith will heal the sick; the Lord will restore them to health, and the sins they have committed will be forgiven. So then, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you will be healed. The prayer of a good person has a powerful effect." (Jam 5:9-16) John 20:23 is not what you have concluded it to be. Jesus Christ didn't come to cause confusion ... What he meant when he made that state he already demonstrated so your kind don't run off with the wrong idea... Here are examples of the sins you forgive are forgiven in heaven by the Lord Jesus Christ 1. "Is it easier to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? I will prove to you, then, that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins." So he said to the paralyzed man, "Get up, pick up your bed, and go home!" The man got up and went home." (Mat 9:5-7) 2. "Because of the crowd, however, they could find no way to take him in. So they carried him up on the roof, made an opening in the tiles, and let him down on his bed into the middle of the group in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the man, "Your sins are forgiven, my friend." The teachers of the Law and the Pharisees began to say to themselves, "Who is this man who speaks such blasphemy! God is the only one who can forgive sins!" Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Why do you think such things? Is it easier to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'?" (Luk 5:19-23) 3. "Seeing how much faith they had, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, "My son, your sins are forgiven."" (Mar 2:5) 4. "Is it easier to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? I will prove to you, then, that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins." So he said to the paralyzed man, "I tell you, get up, pick up your bed, and go home!" At once the man got up in front of them all, took the bed he had been lying on, and went home, praising God." (Luk 5:23-25) 5. "I tell you, then, the great love she has shown proves that her many sins have been forgiven. But whoever has been forgiven little shows only a little love." Then Jesus said to the woman, " Your sins are forgiven." The others sitting at the table began to say to themselves, "Who is this, who even forgives sins?"" (Luk 7:47-49)
6. "where some people brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a bed. When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the paralyzed man, "Courage, my son! Your sins are forgiven."" (Mat 9:2) The authority Jesu gave them in John 20:23 was sealed and hen he said in Mark 16:17: these signs shall follow them that believe , in my name they shall....... This was exactly what Jesus meant when he said the sins you forgive ... He was addressing deliverance from afflictions or infirmities caused by disobedience to God .... Everytime he forgave sins you could see tangible evidence of deliverance from punishment He wasn't telling them to start hearing people sins or faults and giving out prayer like drug from pharmacy The Bible is written for instructions and guide ... It is a book of examples ... Do it the exact way if is in the Bible to get the result they got.... Any other way is man made and and therefore , religion which is man's personal idea of how to please God. All the so called benefits of confession to a priest you listed is neither here nor there... You don't break the hold of sin through strategy but by walk with the Joly spirit. Agqin, I repeat , the one I have offended is the one to hear my apologies and then forgive me ... We all have equal fellowship with God as our Father Example of sicknes, as listed in Naira land today : https://www.nairaland.com/4090683/benue-woman-marries-18-husbandsThank you |

nwokoyepraise: Let me tell you the truth, when you go to confession, you aren't confessing your sins to the priest, but to Jesus Christ, the priest there just serves as a representative who helps to give you advice, and also pray to God who will forgive you your sins. Even, in special cases, the priest might refer you to visit the person you have wronged which you will do for your sins to be forgiven. In the verse I quoted, you will see clearly that Jesus Christ gave his apostles the right to forgive sins. They are acting as His representatives on earth. I don't know if you are referring to sickness as sin. In what you said above, that only shows that sin can cause illnesses which can be cured when the sins are forgiven. We know that sin is wrong done by man which offends God. Jesus Christ didn't hear confessions while on the earth so why would anyone take it upon himself to do that on his purported behalf? The si he asked them to forgiven he showed examples and I have given the verse.... Never was it accounted that somebody came and he listened to what the person had done and then proclaim forgiveness. If I have missed that part please let me know the scripture |

homesteady: It's human nature to get tired of repetitions, fortunately, I've admitted the truth and you have not. I can literally say the Mass from beginning to end due to my experience as an Alter server, almost every year the same readings and Saint feasts. And honestly some teachings are just contradictory, for example - Yesterday, my Priest was just hammering on confession, that if you don't go for confession, it means you haven't had a spiritual bath, so you are smelling before God. Why is he underestimating the forgiving power of God? Did God tell him or the Pope that we must confess our sins via them to God before we are forgiven? Besides what's now the use of that I confess to Almighty God, and to you my brothers and sisters prayer? Are they saying the pray is useless? The priest doesn't know the scripture. He is only engaged in human doctrine ... There is no scripture or anointing for hearing and forgiving sin. You have sinned against God , so repentance is from him |

See Deut 28 "But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it. The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. And thy carcass shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall frighten them away. The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build a house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof. Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them. Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand. The fruit of thy land, and all thy labors, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed always: So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head. The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee. Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it. Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit. Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume. The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail. Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed forever. Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in unclothedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee. The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;" (Deu 28:15-49) Equally, the Bible verses I gave you are all about the manifest presence of a form of sickness which Jesus Christ sent out by forgiving them of their sins ... There are sicknesses that are as a result of our sins ....And there are others that are as a result of our lifestyle |

Ubenedictus: it has everything to do with the covenants above the mass is repetitive by nature because it is a covenantal sign.
actually those sacrifices are repetitious, every time a covenant was made we see them, every time the covenant was renewed we see them, whenever people worshipped God we see them. it gets even more repetitious after Solomon built a temple, there the sacrifices every day morning and evening every week every month, every year all year round for hundreds of years, if that isn't repetition then what is?
these were the mean by which the people of God reenacted, renewed and remembered their covenant with God and Jesus himself gave us the ritual by which we remember, reenact and proclaim the new covenant, even Paul simply repeat the ritual in 1 cor 11 and says as often as you do it you proclaim the Lord's death, if that isn't repetition please tell me what is. the early Christian continued in this breaking of bread, it is mentioned there in scripture and early Christian writings
the wahala is that you don't even seem to recognise this covenantal sign that is why is seem you are ignorant that it is repetitious.
Are you saying that if an average winner or redeem, or embassy or mfm member attend church on the normal church days he will hear the entire Bible read to him from Genesis to revelation? because I have Protestant friends the devoted one go to church about 4 times a week and more particularly I have a winner friend who is pretty clear that if you attended his church on their church days you wouldn't hear the entire Bible read. instead they have bible guides there is the yearly one by adeboye for redeem, passages are put down and a short reflection and it still doesn't cover the entire Bible.
so be clear are you saying your church Bible guides covers the entire Bible or that an average Joe in your Church who goes every church day will hear the entire bible read?
no problem, my battery is dying let me address that later start with 1 jn 5:13-17 Those churches don't engage in Bible recital. They teach the Bible and by the year end just like you have stated through midweek service , daily devotional that holds in the Church every morning and evening raid that equally holds every day save for Saturday and sunday winners teaches you the scripture. If you go for WOFBI.. BBC, LCC, LDC you will have an uncommon understating of the scripture. Does that mean those who do so are dumb?,same way it can be likened to the search of the Gospel and fulfillment in our lives, some only need Sunday mass and personal daily Bible study and they are fine others need extra to achieve spiritual fulfillment, some need other people to aid just like a support group because of spiritual laxity etc.NOTE:there is a difference between reading to understand and reading to argue.Thanks. Anybody that engages in argument is doing so because he or she believes in his or her Position and understands it and is only trying to make the point. irynterri: read James 5:16 and John 20:23.(I can quote it for you here if you want) and yes, Catholics do both. We ask God every day while we pray and even during mass, during confession we ask GOD FOR FORGIVENESS not the priest and according to the doctrine of the church even if you go for confession without leaving the sin your sin will not be forgiven by God. The work of the priest is to advice you and teach you ways to Avoid that sin, pray for you and give you prayers to pray to God to forgive you of your sin in accordance with James 5:16 which was practised by early Christians James 5:16 says exactly what I have stated: confess your faults to one another and pray for one another ..... If I have offended you I should confess it and not hide it and tell any father anywhere ... It is to you that I have offended and ask for your forgiveness and prayer .... The verse is too clear to be confused or used as supportive evidence what you practice .... Confess to one another and pray for one another ... If I confess to you you confess to me your sins against me A priest giving you prayer ... Sir, only you know the depth of the wrong you have committed against God and man and only you knows how to ask for this forgiveness that will assuage your feeling of guilt. |

I am very clear about what I stated: we are not instructed and there is no scripture where any body heard the confusion of another as you practice it ... The scripture you gave never gave the apostles rights or privilege to hear confessions of sin or power to listen to confession and Everytime time we read about sins being forgiven they had to do with deliverance and healing ..... Here 1. Matt 9:5 2. Luke 5:20 3. Mark 2:5 Luke 7:8 The sins to be forgiven have proof or physical evidence ...Sickness , poverty, mental imbalance. Those are the sins Jesus forgave in the above scriptures Scripture support scripture.... Mark 16:17 says these signs shall follow them that believe, in my name they shall cast out demons Satan acquired the rights to afflicts those people because they had gone against God and was thus outcast ... Jesus forgave them and they got healed .... He never sat to hear any confession of the brand of sin and then gave them penance of ablutions. Again I state: the one I have offended is the one to hear my confession and repentance. If I wronged somebody or stole from him, I should go to him and confess that I have done this please forgive me and then ask God for forgiveness because I have also sinned against him. |

lomprico: Catholic priests are not supposed to own anything! Whatever that is given to u belongs to the church in general so whose money is he disbursing? His or the church? Dey der make pant dey wear you. Every ministry owned by a priest belongs to him..He determines the direction and funding and beneficial owners ...Don't be deceived ...Go to CAC and check the registration .. Didn't you read the grouse of a priest here when he was ranting against the church for allowing priest to own a separate ministries that they should do all activities within the church. |

Are you saying that if an average winner or redeem, or embassy or mfm member attend church on the normal church days he will hear the entire Bible read to him from Genesis to revelation? because I have Protestant friends the devoted one go to church about 4 times a week and more particularly I have a winner friend who is pretty clear that if you attended his church on their church days you wouldn't hear the entire Bible read. instead they have bible guides there is the yearly one by adeboye for redeem, passages are put down and a short reflection and it still doesn't cover the entire Bible.
so be clear are you saying your church Bible guides covers the entire Bible or that an average Joe in your Church who goes every church day will hear the entire bible read?
no problem, my battery is dying let me address that later start with 1 jn 5:13-17 I have read the scripture , waiting for your interpretation....,it talks about sin. I will reply your other statement, later |

Ubenedictus: there are many verses about forgiveness in scripture but in the new testament and in early Christian writing the mode of obtaining this forgiveness is usually confession.
I can't tell you what God doesn't do, but I can tell you what God does. He offered confession as THE new testament means of forgiving sin and he gave that power to the apostles and their successors and this has been the practice in the Church of Christ for 2000 years.
I won't tell you what God doesn't do, but that which he has told us in scripture and in the Church for centuries that I'll do,and if I were you I would thank the priest who reminded me.
permit me to rant a little, I think the problem with Catholics is that we are often ignorant of what we have and treat them with less the value they possess. Do you think God is ignorant of the fact that many people will sit in their house and pray for forgiveness? yet after he has paid the ultimate price and won infinite merits for us he came to his apostles and gave them power to forgive sins, he gave us a sacrament for reconciliation and made his ministers stewards of his mysteries. Why not make use of this new testament gift whereby Hod clearly shows his mercy and assure you of forgiveness. sorry but you can't compare it to what the Protestants have, they simply don't have this, nor do they have the life giving Eucharist... these are the gift of the new covenant found only in the Church of Christ.
I am lost for words, I don't know how to even explain this to you. how God himself activates his covenant for us through the sacrament. God never asked anyone to confess their sins to any mortals ....We all have equal fellowship before God though different levels of anointing... The one I have offended is the one to hear me out .... I have not offended a priest and therefore can't confess to him |

But why this wockedness bloss.savagery ...I can't even control myself butterflylion: Even after I said na joke o you came for me Abi? Dancing to God is part of worship. Prayer itself is worship.
Christians can pray to God anywhere. Be it in church, their homes, etc.
Is it only in mosques that Muslims pray? No be dem dey like block express road in the name of knacking head on the ground to pray thereby causing unneccessary traffic?
What is the difference between that and Mad Men who sit in the middle of the road to show themselves?
Scratch that even Mad Men get sense sometimes as them sabi look road before dem cross but Muslims will look road and sit down on the road. |

Ubenedictus: strangely enough if you read your Bible you will realise that God is a fan of repetitious covenantal rituals. right from the beginning when man started worshipping God,Abel is the first recorded ritualist, he built an alter and offered God a sacrifice the same ritual is performed by Noah when God made a covenant with him then Abraham when God made a covenant, then Isaac when God renews his covenant, then Jacob,... then Moses and all the Israelites each time they renewed their covenant with God they repeat rituals again and again and again... and even when Jesus came and offered the sacrifice of all sacrifices he still left us a repetitious ritual called the Eucharist, and St Paul says that as often as we REPEAT that ritual we are proclaiming that ultimate sacrifice that seals the new covenant.
if you are scared of repetition then maybe you haven't been reading the bible or maybe you should change your orientation. 2. every year is not the same reading, there are 3 different liturgical cycles and the whole Bible is covered in 3 years leaving just bit and pieces. do you know any other church that cover the Bible in 3 years.... the feast are the same because the liturgical cycle is like a spiral staircase each new cycle catapulting you to a new level in grace. it is a pity we Catholics do not see this.
3. the I confess prayer is a penitential prayer for the forgiveness of venial sin, mortal sin does get forgiven in confession. A prayer doesn't replace a sacrament. so your priest is right and there is no contradiction . The Catholic order of mass is repetitive. It has nothing to do with the covenants you have listed to support it .... Those covenant didn't happen every day and Sundays ... They were hundreds of years apart, don't make it look like the same actors did them Everytime Why would you sit in judgement and conclude that other churches don't complete the Bible in three years when even Christ Embassy runs programs for completing the Bible in a year..... There is no church that doesn't complete the Bible in a year Winners runs a 12 calendar teaching topic known as the 12 pillars of the Church/ Destiny... Sanctification, Divine direction , Divine Prosperity, Divine healing, Thw word , Signs and wonders , Prayer ,the holy spirit and the rest and all they teaching before the year ends comes from the entire bible....This September that just ended is the month of supernatural Breakthrough is my birthright.....As from Sunday October first, it will be another theme Please the bolded in your post should receive more light with scriptural backings. |
