I earlier explained on this thread how these prosperity preachers make their money. True, tithes and offering may not be enough. The prosperity preachers always develop a similar model which they call a seed faith or a seed faith offering. Here, they encourage people to give and get blessed. Many have given their whole salaries, a brand new car and so many other things. It is the way these men get so rich and powerful. They promise you wealth and health if you can sow a seed of faith.

Ok. But I have been worshipping with his church for sometime and I have never heard of seed faith....As a matter of fact, offering and tithes are lumped together and you don't in your envelope and you don't have to leave your seat because it is considered a subtle way of pressuring people to give due to shame of being the only left while others are going out to give ...

I have always wondered where the resources to pursue all the projects going in different churches comes from. ...In the church red book called the mandate , launching of any kind is forbidden and we know that people give if the giving is acknowledged as coming from them but this opportunity is lacking in this man's led church.

There is no harvest of any kind, no bazaar , no compulsory levies like AMC ...NO pressure on anyone to give for any course .... The branch I attend before now, we only came, on a certain day to meet people tearing down the ceilings only to later replace it with a pop... Every time you came , work was going on. no announcement to give to the project until it completion ... It was Later, I learnt in the course of doing WOFBI that a single individual applied to the pastor to be granted permission to replace the ceiling with pop in preparation for air-conditioning the building....Till date, the name of the person has never been officially mentioned to the congregation.

He continually boast that the church has never borrowed from any bank anywhere in the world neither have they ever called any man dead or alive for support of any kind.

What is at work I the life and ministry of bishop Oyedepo is a mystery. The attainment of the man's ministry in less than 36 years is more than what gimmicks of any kind, sweet talking of any depth and breadth , magic, Satanism , occultism can provoke. No occult power can give you a 20,000 capacity church that runs three services as a branch of your main church, a 10,000 capacity church as a branch , and so many others ..Mind you, his is not a ' miracle centre, not a 'prophesy house' just the raw word of God being explained to the point of delivering results in the lives of men..... I came to understand that there is nothing you do for the sake of the gospel that is free..... Do it with a business mind that Jesus Christ called it business, you shouldn't call it charity ... God is not interest in your time, money ,talent unless it has a price.... And testimonies abounds.... He has not called the sons of Jacob to seek him in vain....Place a demand on your time , money and skills that you channels to the kingdom....It is not a sin but wisdom.


Testimony: I invited a staunch catholic who had told me his life's story and the dark forces that had held sway in his family and not allowed anyone to breakthrough. He told me his his family has journeyed to various prophetic homes and had not seen any change. But as a catholic the idea f leaving his church where he held positions from which he had received meritorious awards was unthinkable. Then I bought a book written by the bishop and gave it to him to read. By the next Sunday he joined me to service. Today , he is the absolute breadwinner of this family set to get married, drives his own car. I met him in a mud house but he now lives in the federal housing estate

I witnessed an accident one early morning where a woman ran into one of dangote truck carelessly parked idly on a busy motorway at Abule Egba, Lagos and died instantly.

lol I'm probably more travelled than you are. I stay in Ekiti for a year and I visited Ikogosi. I stayed in calabar for a year and I visited tinapa resort. I was still at tinapa two years ago. There is no traffic at tinapa but the place is well maintained!!! I can post my pictures at tinapa if you want. I even took pictures with Bae. What Ikogosi lacks is maintainace. Go back to yesterdays thread and see torn roofs and dead wood all over the place. Fayose simply starved the facility




BTW tinapa is not dead. It's very much alive!!! If a facility is maintained people will visit even if the traffic is not as much as expected

The thread on the sorry state of Ikogosi warm spring resort came as a rude shock to me. I worked in Ekiti prior to the 2014 election and I know the facility was renovated by the administration of Dr Kayode Fayemi 5/6yrs ago.
I did some digging online and I was able to find pictures of the renovation if Ikogosi and it's access roads under Fayemi of APC.

Long story short, it takes little or no effort to destroy what has been built. That is why we as the electorates must open our eyes wide and differentiate between a good leader and the empty barrel. Enjoy the thread

And if your theory about old testament supporting image is true? Where in the new testament is it written that images should be restricted to the old testament?

And maybe you need to refer to the scriptures where Jesus specifically stated that he has not come to abolish the laws (old testament), but to bring it to fulfilment.

It was okay in the old testament to have images because there wasn't yet Pentecost..... God's Spirit , the Holy Spirit, didn't indwell man .... God only visited man and usually he stayed outside man and spoke with Him. In the new testament, he gave man his spirit on Pentecost and it indwell the spirit of man therefore no need for any image to rep God other than our image and he told us that we are now his temple ... His dwelling place. .... He made us in his own image and likeness ( it is also in the first page of your catechism book)

With the inception of google-reverse image search, your display photo on Nairaland could be easily traced back to your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account and people can get in touch with you through those social media platforms. So you aren’t as anonymous as you think after all.

Google reverse image search is simply uploading a photo or providing a url to the photo on google image search and watch google do its magic of finding out similar images.

What this implies…

1. This implies that if you’re an e-bully and you have your DP placed, you could be easily traced back to any of your social media accounts and get arrested for online battery, e-bullying and other offences (are these even legal?)

2. To the ladies who make it hard for guys to slide into their DMs, Emails or whatever, this idea can come in handy for ‘crushes’ to get in touch with the real person behind a moniker on the social media platform and start off a relationship from there (who knows?)

3. To the stalkers… This just advanced your stalking skills to grade ‘A’ and you can infiltrate your victim’s privacy as you wish and banter them off-NL.

4. E-fights will not only start and end on NL with the deactivation of a moniker, so if a moniker deactivates out of frustration, the attacker could still slide into his/her Facebook wall and continue the assault there until he’s blocked

5. The wealthy guys, broke guys, slay queens, gold diggers will finally be identified (Not good right? Yeah)

6. Finally, the most dangerous part. You could be killed! Like really killed. If you’ve provoked a serial killer and he does a trackback of your DP and finds your location through Facebook… You’re skewed! Dead! (Yikes! Scary right? Yeah, that wouldn't matter when you're dead )

All these can only work if your Nairaland DP is on any other internet platform like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc

God is not an author of confusion, but God asked them to make image, not for the purpose of turning the image to a god, but for them to see him through the image. He was using that image to pass across a message, the same way the catholic church is using images to pass across a message. It is not the image, but what the image represents. You don't need to be deeply spiritual to understand this. If you still argue this point, well, I can't help you further.

As per the second point, you mixed it up. in your attempt to win an argument, you totally left the point and was uttering meaningless gibberish. Jesus mentioned Abraham in that story and Abraham even spoke. How can the dead and irrelevant be speaking if they are not alive? Additionally, Abraham told the rich man: "son, you have had your own pleasure on earth...." How could Abraham had know how the rich man lived if he wasn't aware of what was happening?

Because you are a saint on earth, with all the temptations you fall into everyday, doesnt mean that there are no siants in heaven. Dead saints are aware of everything going on here on earth. Anyone that preaches anything contrary to this is preaching heresy. And do you also know that angels intercede for Christians?
