Great job. Lolz, can't drive full time, other engagements on weekdays but yeah, whenever I feel I.can go out and drive without much hassle, why not. I remember doing this the last two weeks of December last year. More than 400k net was my Christmas gift in about 12 days. Extremely selective of trips, never drove at night or over worked.

On a fast lane bro. Must have been about 12k fuel. Was a little below half tank when I started. Usually fill up my tank. Could have made more than 50k from it and could have gone past 100k if I continued driving till 7pm and bought additional fuel. Roads were free

You've given him a great idea depending on his location. He can even add one or two retail services in that same shop where he has the laundry mart.

Jumping and pumping 5mil into an Uber business you are not even sure you can stand the intense physical and psychological exertion is a very bad move. It's not as if there's a breather in form of a break even point in the end.

Please broaden your spectrum. The moment you make the mistake of investing your 5m into this business, you are stuck in this dead end trap for the next 5/6years of your life. You wouldn't want to get out anymore because you want to recoup your investment and make profit, that day may never come eventually.

Look away from this place as fast as you can. You can do.better in the next 2/3years by investing one third of that money in some other ventures apart from Uber. Look around your hood, there will always be something there for you to do.

PS: Only get involved in this business if you have a car laying fallow that you need to temporarily use for this, otherwise flee with yout money as fast as you can.

The point I was trying to make is that it's not always greener on the other side. The picture being painted of Canada and all these other places is different from reality on ground.

Govt policies are not consistent.. look at the Agric play in Niger, govt is saying no trucks are allowed to buy in bulk anymore, though they might have a point in protecting the masses, but what about the investor (farmer ) who can only make profits by selling in Bulk ( most agric produce are perishable)... are they encouraging or discouraging production.?

Interesting but I have to laugh at the bolded. The idea of a fair playing ground is a myth. As a migrant, your access to many things are limited. Go there with a visitor's visa, try to work with it and see if you will have access to anything, not even a place to rent even if you have the money. Do you know how many Nigerians that are in shelters and makeshift houses in Canada? Need I mention those in basements? Where's the fair ground that you are talking about? They are barely living over there and are struggling to survive, take my word for it. Only those with PR and specialized skills live an average normal life. Same with UK. Don't even mention US lol.

As per doing business in Nigeria, it may seem hard but it all depends on the line of business you choose to go into. There are many businesses one can do here and get by. Bolt isn't even one of it. Why waste so much to get visa, travel out to live a mediocre life when you can invest the money in Nigeria and increase your worth within a couple of years? It doesn't make sense. Where are you running to when your country is not at war?
