happney65: Osun people voted for Adeleke, Tinubu and his nephew Oyetola Stole their mandate...The tribunal returned the mandate but you are angry because you say Adeleke is an illiterate.
What does that have to do with anything?
Who did the Osun people vote for?
Do you even know what the word illiterate means?
"Unable to read or write."
What does his literacy have to do with him being a governor. Dangote is also illiterate by your definition but has PhD's shovelling shit for him.
The most important thing needed in governance is a HEART.
If Adeleke has a heart he will be a better leader than that Professor SAN Vice President whose main job is sharing kobo kobo in markets and telling lies up and down for Buhari who by the way by your definition is also an illiterate....
The End

The absurdity of it all is what gets me. You are discriminating against your people based on their use of a 'foreigners" language.
When they say black people are a little slow upstairs these kinds of issues is what supports that assertion. It's not just blacks.Canada seems peaceful, till you read the long and sometimes violent history of its francophone and anglophone communities |

Something similar happened in Ukraine and Russia annexed the unstable region. Crimea's case is different 1.There was no international court ruling 2.It was detached from Russia and added to Ukraine by Soviet leader Khrushchev in 1954 when both Russia and Ukraine were part of the Soviet Union As for anglophone Cameroon. 1.It voted to rejoin Cameroon by a UN plebiscite in 1961. 2.It was not really part of Nigeria. When Germany lost world.war one, all its colonies were handed over to the British, French and South Africans. The Kamerum colony was divided between the Brit's and the French as trust territories |

Denikayan: It shall never be well with who invented and propagated religion!
A world without religion would have been a better place. The conflict in the Cameroon has nothing to do with religion...and the OP is being mischievous. Francophone Cameroon is divided between a Muslim North and a Christian South. Anglophone Cameroon is mostly Christian. The division here is lingusitic. Anglophones, who are in the minority, and who used to be part of Nigeria have been complaining of discrimination on the grounds of language. There is a rebel group and a secessionist movement active there as a result. |

You hardly hear any arrest from the North.....
One of them is a multi billionaire kingpin of smuggling.....
He is living at the backyard of Gen Buhari in Katsina State....
What is good for the goose is also good for the gander....Let them arrest those guyz up north too... Off topic...but there is an easy way to stop smuggling of petorl First...why does smuggling happen 1.Fuel costs over N250 in NIGER republic. 2. Fuel costs N145 here, MEANWHILE...it costs more than N170 to import fuel. If Alhaji sells his fuel in Katsina...he loses money...at Least N20,at most N100. 3.therefore Mr Alhaji smuggler...smuggles fuel across..and earns a cool N100 profit every time he does.(He is a businessman) If we removed fuel subsidy 1.Smuggling would stop 2.Yes, prices would go up...but it would net Alhaji smuggler a cool profit. 3.Since rule no 1 of business is invest profit to get more profit...Alhaji would invest more in the downstream petrol sector of Nigeria 4.He provides more jobs for the Abokees..who won't go on 'extracurrucular activites', business grows, unemployment falls. 5.And prices eventually fall too. |

Look at phcn now, it's a disaster, nepa is better than wat phcn has become... Stop recycling foolish ediot old men ad politicians una no go listen una go dey follow pdp and apc that has mortgage una future up and down... princetom1: If there is anything the cabals are good at, it's joining hand to reap the masses off... If u ever think healthy competition will come and it will reduce prices, u are simply new to Nigeria... Phcn is an example... The masses are suffering it now... Only way forward? All these old and useless politicians with their offspring must go... The reason why PHCN is not working after privatization has to do with these factors. 1.About 1/3rd of people connected to the grid nationwide actually pay for power 2.DISCOS are forced, under the provisions of the law, to sell power at prices set by the Nigeria Energy Regulatory Commision, which means they are forced to keep prices low...which does not allow them to make a profit and in turn makes it difficult to 3.pay GENCOS. Gencos , the generating companies, buy gas from various suppliers, including Nigeria Gas company. All of these suppliers insist on payment in dollars. , not in naira. 4.Because DISCOS don't have enough to pay GENCOS, it means that money is scarce, and that makes DISCOS reject gas supplies from GENCOS 5. Banks don't want to lend to DISCOS because of 1) uncertainties in billing 2) fact that DISCOS are not making a profit. Basically, the way forward is to allow DISCOS to charge the price they want, and to allow DIScos to charge across regions, as well as to meter every house. This would increase profits(Ghana pays more for electricity than we do) Problem is , Nigerians don't want increases, and don't like estimated billing practices. Selling NNPC and removing subsidy 1.Prices will go up. No choice. 2.HOWEVER...investment would pour in. NNPC would attract competitors SINCE under the new deregulation policy, everyone is now allowed to make a profit. (Subsidy means that marketers buy fuel at N165 , sell at N145 and government pays them N20 now which is the difference .Profit not made. NNPC now is the one importing fuel...which means NNPC is losing money in essence..which is why there is so much corruption because people want to make money, and subsidy ain't letting them) 3.More refineries are built, more investment in oil production and exploration 4.Prices come down within a year or two. 5.Need I say that government SAVES money (at least N1 trillion yearly) and that JOBS are created as a result of all that investment. it happened before...GSM. |

Nothing like illegal here when abokis are there holding top offices in oil industries and those that have the oils aren't benefiting enough from what they have in possession. Please argue with me politely. Well, they are not just stealing from the 'Northerners', they are stealing from their own people too Illegal bunkering reduces government revenue...which makes funding the budget harder for all...including Southern oil producing states These bunkerers will store the money they make in illegal bank accounts, offshore. None of it would reach their people. |

hush15: look truth be told, the price inceease compared to what we are paying now wont be much but it will only be for awhile. The monopoly will be taking from nnpc and you begin to see players un the industry take bold step and then the madket begins to experience big competition which ultimately begins to see price comparisons and eventually falls just like we experienced in the telecommunications sector and before you know it, we paying even less that 145 to say the least. best part is products will be refined locally to reduce cost drastically which means we can go back to days where we buy less that 50naira I know...I have used this argument you have given me on Nairaland before. And every time, I get the same response. 'They will exploit us' . Nigerians sha. I opposed PDP....yet i know a good idea when I see one. |

aolawale025: Those refineries are a drain pipe. And very corruption prone. Endless turnaround maintainance yet no production. They should be sold off. Basically, if subsidy was removed...NNPC would have the incentive and the means to keep the refineries working properly....because now, the refineries would be the source of cash. But because subsidy is in place, NNPC keeps on selling fuel at a loss, and as a result, no money for new investments...which leads to corrruption because people will deliberately break parts to earn a little extra money for themselves. |

Freeze is right
Esepcially with copules being able to access each other's bank details.
One elderly man was admitted in the hospital where i worked with stroke some years ago. The man was unconscious. To get money to pay was problematic since the man was the only person with access to his details, and wife did not have much. Their adult son had to go to the bank with a medical report indicating his father was too sick to withdraw money from the akant...and some bank officials had to come and verify that Papa was indeed in a bad state before money was released for treatment. |
