The same Lagos some funny dudes on NL make so much fuss about, making noise about how Fashola and Tinubu were the next best thing after fresh air.

No be this same Lagos be this? Same Eko wey we dey?

Delusional folks I must say, cos all Tinubu did was develop the island to make cool money from there for his 3rd generation.

Ambode has been good this far, but he needs to focus more on the mainland this time around.

It is also stereotype to get paid after 30 days. Why not 50 days eh?

It is stereotype say incest(with protection) is a crime. I mean, who gets hurt but then, it is a crime.

There are responsiblities that goes with certain positions. He is not Fayose anymore, he is Governor Ayodele Fayose, Executive Governor Of Ekiti State, Nigeria. He shoud act like it.

Go tell a military officer it is stereotype to wear uniforms
You're beginning to let your emotions spill bro, chill.

Firstly, a salary by definition is remuneration for work paid in a month and it is covered by the labor laws of that country, hence in some countries you pay hourly or weekly (wages). Got absolutely nothing to do with stereotype.

Secondly, incest and inbreeding are crimes under the laws of the federal republic of Nigeria so stereotype has nothing to do with it. Why do you think such people are charged to court when caught?

If you have a personal problem with Fayose's personality and characters then come out and say it clearly and stop hiding behind the word 'responsibility'. And remember our argument is on so called dress codes.

For clarity sake, dress codes exist but you should never confuse that with dress expectations which I used the word stereotypes in place of.

In my organization we have a dress code, same for the military. So bringing that here holds no water.

Do governors and presidents have dress codes? Maybe they do, but then I'm very sure it doesn't spell out what they must wear on certain occasions and what they must not wear. Unlike private organizations and the military that have specific dress codes which one must adhere to or face sanctions.

When I was defending my final year project, we had two options, we could wear suit complete with tie and everything or out on Agbada complete with the cap, why?

Because the suit is not the only thing to wear to such an occasion. Outraged society has recignised suits as a sort of uniform.

An engineer can wear jeans and boots up and down his site all year but if he is going to give a report of how much work is going one to his contractors, would he go in work clothes?
Bro, those are stereotypes you know cos I've gone for an interview (with a multinational coy) wearing a traditional attire due to some unforseen circumstances, and I was feeling so odd cos everyone else was on suit and tie. Funny thing is I passed the interview, though I got a better offer and didn't accept theirs.

My point is most of those things are stereotypes and expectations of the society, but it doesn't mean non conformity makes one wrong.

As for your question, he may choose to go in a suit and tie or not. It depends on choice for me. Even though suits make one look more official, it doesn't make him wrong if he decides to wear something else.

If he decides to put on a t-shirt and jeans for the report as you said, will he be wrong?

What of a kaftan, will he be right then?

You see, it's all stereotypes, societal expectations, and crowd mentality.

Mark wore a suit to meet the president. He realized that when serious events are happening, there is a certain dress code to maintain.

Fayose on the other hand don't know the difference. This is a guy who wore a T.Shirt to present documents to the house of assembly.

Wear a tee to inspect projects etc. Don't wear them to official meetings.
Your analysis is void bro. What of our president who wears agbada or kaftan everywhere he goes, is it a dress code?

There is no wrong or right way of dressing for an occasion (or dress code) as you called it, it's all a fad.

What is official about all those kaftans and native wears most of our big bellied politicians wear?

Abeg say something else cos there ain't absolutely nothing wrong in wearing a t-shirt to see a president, Ludacris did it and no one saw anything wrong with that!!!

In Nigeria we don't talk about cause, we only talk about effect. The average Nigerian does not have an analytical mind. If today the price of oil experiences a sudden up surge and buhari starts to spend wantonly, he will be a hero, even if no refinery is built, we will celebrate. If he opens our boarders so that rice floods in from Thailand to the benefit of Thailand and to the detriment of local farmers, we will celebrate. Well, Nigeria needs tough times like this to wake up, we need it for local factories and manufacturing industries to be birthed and thrive. I hope we learn in the end though, because I know how impervious we can sometimes be to wise instruction.
Bullshyte!!!

Do you know the effect of the underlisted "causes" on the Nigerian economy:

Running Nigeria without ministers for half a year.

Pulling out trillions of naira from the banks all at once (in the name of TSA implementation) instead of in phases.

Refusal to allow the naira float in the market for over 8 months.

Lack of a clear cut economic direction and fiscal policies.

You are the one who has no analytical mindset and is always quick to think that others don't understand.

You are the one who lacks basic understanding of economics of a state.

What is special treatment in going to school dressed like a muslim rather than appearing like a christian. The christians are very okay with the uniforms because it comforms with their dress style. Besides, what have the muslims asked for that the christians were not already enjoying in this country? Examples will suffice pls. The human brain is meant to strike a difference between humans and lesser animals but...and besides, I don't discuss economic status on faceless fora.
Hypocrisy. How does not wearing a hijab make one look like a Christian?

Most muslims think in a very odd way just like you're displaying and this is why any fool can whip up your religious sentiments and all of a sudden y'all throw rationality ad objectivity out the window.

You're definitely a small boy who doesn't hasn't started fending for himself or other people hence your statement that muslims that want to work on Fridays are businessmen who want to make money.

If school uniforms aren't christian wears, why are the christians opposed to the use of hijab on it by the muslims? If christianity is not being unjustifiably favoured, why can't the working days be modified to accommodate Friday worships. Those my so called fellow muslims are mostly business men who need to go back to their businesses after Friday service and many christian business men do go for business on Sundays too. Unthinking brain? Bros when ah start my own, no complain o! hmm okay o.
Why Christians are against hijab is simply because it would mean that Muslims have been given special treatment. If Christians don't ask for any special treatment, why should Muslims always come up with one request or the other whenever they feel like?

I think your parents still feed you or you work in one unproductive civil service. You better use the grey matter inside your skull dude.

But the christians are the noisiest always talking about islamization even though the country has been christianised for long. Whenever the muslim ask for justice, the christians call it islamisation. Muslim want their female students to wear hijab, they call it islamisation and several other cases. Another case in point is this topic.
The fake professor has already captured your unthinking brain I see.

How is school uniforms christian wear?

How is a two day weekend Christian? Anyways your fellow Moslems who are sane and thinking have already debunked the fake professor so you have no point.

As a muslim that i am i have actually thought of this before

I once asked my uztaz

He said and i quote in hausa "haram ne" which means it is forbidden

I was perplexed and then he explained it to me

He said the only break a worker needs on friday is the juma'a break which should be from 12-2 or whatever time it is being prayed in your community

But taking the whole day off because of Juma'a prayers is actually haram.

So mr akintola go and sit down one place and stop causing problems

Sunday is a workfree day, didn't u get it? If naija is truly a secular state, Friday should also be made work-free to balance it or better still cancel both Fri and Sun as work free days. Why should I beg my employer to perform my religious obligation when my colleague enjoys a whole day to do same?
Nobody gave Sunday as a work free day man. It has been so from time immemorial.

Work Monday till Friday and rest weekend (saturday and Sunday).

The only coiuntries that dont have it exactly like this are purely Islamic countries. So... Until you guys manage to make Nigeria an Islamic country, you will not get that which you seek. God forbid that Nigeria becomes a Moslem country.

Thank you for not continuing the discussion. It's obvious that many of them do not care for a true "one Nigeria".

Tell them what it takes to build a good and united country; a country where grieviances are sorted out and forgiven; a country where every tongue and tribe is allowed to express themselves, and you see them turn your words downside up. All this in a bid to perpetuate the lopsided status quo.

The bile and hate spewed here on daily basis is enough to burn down any country. However, Nigeria cannot continue to run from fate. One day, soon and very soon, the right thing must be done, or, the citizens will do it by force!
Yea bro. It's sad that most people don't even know our chequered past as a country and those who know have continued to bury their heads in the sand.

Nigerians aren't ready for true unity yet, when they are we will know!

Top of the morning to you.
