Okay, you know as newbies we tend to always ask some common questions.

What I want to know is, if there is any link given to owners of domain after listing it in Dan.com (for example: If I register a domain and later list it in any market place like Dan.com or afternic will they give me any special link as the authentic owner so that when and if I sell the domain then I will transfer the link to the buyer?

1. Register a domain name on any registrar(Dynadot, namecheap, namesilo are my recommended ones)

2.list the name on a marketplace(Dan, Afternic, Godaddy, Daaz etc)

3. Set the domain nameserver or DNS server for the domain name to your desired one.(This will be done from your dashboard on your registrar account)

each marketplace has its own DNs and this will take any visitor who types in that name to a designated page, the page can have make offer or buy it now price

Dan nameserver is NS1.dan .com and NS2.dan .com(Without the spaces)

4. After you set the DNS to ur desired choice, anyone who types in that domain eg www.GuyWise101:youneedtoreadfrom1stpage .com will be directed to the landing page with either a buy it now price or make offer or combination of both

you have been shown a sample of how DAN landing page looks like

So the "special link" to give to end user is to tell them to visit the domain.

its best practice to send the Godaddy buy now link(Savy users wont click on it cos they dont know if its click bait or virus or what have you)

The challenge with asking end user to search is that Godaddy will recommend other variants and TLD to them.

They might end up buying the variant instead of yours.

Help!!!

I received an offer for a domain at 300, countered with 600, he didn't reply. After a week I message him to up his offer and add something to it, yet no reply. Then after 2 days again, I asked if he was still interested in the domain for $300. He replied with "yes, how can I pay".
Immediately, I imported lead for $300 at Dan. And as I was typing a message to him that he would receive a mail from Dan(which I later sent), A message landed into my in box from Dan that he had confirmed the offer (this was around 11:00pm Nigerian time).

So I went to bed with the expectation of waking to see payment alert from Dan. The following day, no show.

At 3rd day, I asked Dan what's up? They said the man hasn't paid for the domain.

At 4th day, I mailed the end user, telling him he hasn't purchased the domain. Perhaps he is having some difficulties in going about it or if there any way I could help ,he should tell me.

He replied back with, "Yes please! send me the link to pay please"

I told him that Dan had already send him a message to this effect, he should confirm if he did receive the message.... He didn't reply.

I related his message (his request for payment link) to Dan CS.

Yesterday morning, Dan told me that their account manager had sent the end user the payment link.

Yesterday evening, I informed him about the link forwarded to his mail as he requested. Then I asked him if he did receive the message or not. Yet no reply from him up to this morning.

I am confused about his state of mind.

Why he is ignoring anything that has to do with Dan.

Maybe he wants me to send the Link to him by my self?

And that means 15% off the deal which is too much for me.

I'm thinking of using daaz (which is 10%), then send him the landing page link by myself.

But will bringing in daaz (another escrow) not raise or confirm any suspicion to the end user? ( All this whites could be hypersensitive).

And will it not bring an offense to Dan?


Or perhaps the end user isn't serious?

Keep importing that leads of $500 with continuous followup, I could remember for one of my domain I sold. I import leads almost 6 times before the buyer accepted it and continuous message. Na u talk say u dey interested, I will used message to finish ur life until you say you are no more interested. You can let the followup be like interval of 3 days. Not to spam him

I don't advise this. He needs to know why he isn't confirming the leads. If his concern is that of Scam, he will never confirm and that will further fuel his suspicion.

We bargain and he offered $900. I accepted and import lead. He accepted offer but didn't make the payment. The he contacted me about their marketing policy.

If you imported lead and nothing has happened maybe he has lost interest or skeptical about DAN platform. Most Americans only know Godaddy

Reach out and ask him why he hasn't bought the name, if he is still interested.

Tell him the name is now listed on GoDaddy. That GoDaddy will handle the transaction from sales to transfers to him at no extra cost.

I suspect this name is an EMD, when dealing with certain price range with an American, put Godaddy 1st

Someone made an offer of $500 after telling you the marketing team recommended that amount yet you decided to stretch the negotiation further instead of closing the deal fast.

And you are yet to make your 1st sale. Why didn't you accept the offer immediately?

The common assumption will be that the sender of the mail is either the owner of the domain or a broker acting on behalf of the owner.

You clearly stated that a wise end user will register it, that is only possible if the name is available for registration

You comply immediately, you leave them alone. The only exception is C. There are ways you can ask why he is not interested.

Rule 2
When someone says I already have a domain. you leave that person alone. The exception depends on how your 1st outbound was done and the quality of the domain in terms of search volume or traffic stats.

if it is very obvious that your name is a better upgrade to the endusers name and he still tells you, he has a domain, then you leave him alone.

As for traffic stats, install the chrome extention "Surfer SEO" chrome extention for PC

For android: Install Kiwi brower and then install the above chrome extention too

After installation, when you search for a keyword or phrase on Google, it will display the SV and CPC

There used to be a way to activate it on Dynadot but afternic had been removed, only sedo remains. The domain has been listed on Afternic for more than 60days.

I also include it in my body of mail without the www

I wrote to support and they said that was the reason

I also found out that even if the 1st mail delivered, the followup might end in spam.

Now for clarity, I send my mails thru gmail(you can add ur custom mail to Gmail)

If it senses spam, it won't go, error message straight up

When this happens, I go to my custom mail box and send from there, when it senses spam, it tells you to do captcha to verify its not spam

This is what I used to do until I noticed it stopped delivering.

So I don't include the Dotcom in my heading and I don't include it in my body too, with this, it sails through in Gmail.
