For some time, I had a feeling my custom mails weren't going through, I decided to send to my Gmail and another different custom mail.

Behold, the mails was not delivering, it was nowhere to be found, not in spam, promotions or social, yet there were no delivery error messages

This means all my outbound effort was in vain.

I still can't explain what or why it happened.

I had to restrategize, it was a big blow to me cos I could no longer tell which mails went or didn't go.

I continued and I have found a way around it kinda

List all the names you have registered, let's help yoi appraise and tell you where you missed it

You might learn one or two things, maybe there are some names that were good but you didn't outbound enough or get to the decision maker.

In domaining, this below is the process

1. Quality of the name

2. Is there an enduser who wants the name

3. Right pricing

4. Timing

1,2,3 can align but if the timing is wrong, it won't sell

For Point 2, how hard did you try to get

1. Enduuser mails
2. Decision maker mail

How many followup did you do?

Did you track your mail to see if they were being read/open or were they ending in SPAM

I follow Alex Verdea, I listen to his podcast and I bought his book, I still go back to his book from time to time BUT I dont like how he post his sales on Twitter!! So I can send mails thru streak ether with my custom mail or Gmail.

See if you can add another Gmail account to your existing Gmail. If you can then, streak can work for both

Another thing you can do, research about the company and see what they valuation is, what are they worth, what is the prince range of the services they offer and finally the position of this person who made the offer

I need a help.

Last week I outbounded a name that I just registered and I got this reply from one of the end user

"It is perfect. I could offer $5000. Than you for reaching out"

Initially, my intention was to flip this domain for around $400-500 but after his reply I was confused. It's a two word domain.

I didn't set a BIN before so after his reply I set a BIN of $5000 then I messaged him that he can proceed to aquire the domain but since then he hasn't reply. I don't track my mail to know whether he read the reply.

Could it be that he's playing as my mind is telling me or he's really interested in the domain. I received the norms as reply too "not interested" "you can keep it" and those annoying reply.

Bosses in the house how do I go about this? Because I want to send another mail to him tomorrow before reoutbound the name again.

I'm having a challenge, I just got a domain on dynadot. I've changed the nameserver to Dan but it keeps rejecting anytime I want to add on Dan. It says the domain has been deleted, my challenge is, how do I have another landing page on it? I want to outbound, I'm used to Dan's landing page. I've listed on Afternic but I need a landing page on the website.

I changed the nameserver to sav too but I haven't seen any changes, the landing page still goes back to the dan page that said domain has been deleted.

1. Always add your NS3 verification or txt records provided by DAN to your nameservers

This is to prove to DAN that the name belongs to you. With this, DAN will then add the names to your portfolio

My buy it now price on aftenic is over $8k with a $500 reserve. The interested buyer made an offer for $1000 and after commission, I will get $850.

How do I counter? I think this is a low offer.

1. Next time, look for trusted handles and reach out privately with the name, they will be able to offer better advise.

Without knowing the exact name, it will be difficult to give a tailored advise.

2. How did you arrive at the 7k valuation?

was it comparable sales or estibot valuation?

That a name sold for x amount, doesnt mean it will sell for that same amount again. There are metrics that are used to arrive at a price

That a company is a big company does not also mean that they will be willing to spend big bucks on a domain name

3. If your BIN is that high, then your minimum offer shouldnt be that low

That you manually got an email from a website does not mean it will get delivered or be read.

Once I send a mail & do 2 followup without being read, I don't do followup to that mail again.

Might go back to the website to see if there is someone else I can contact.

The issue here is that CBN want the economy to go cashless and doesn't want you to be carrying cash about and want you and I to go electronic.

There is no poor implementation here. It is your kind that doesn't want change. Since the issue started I have been doing transaction with my phone and that has eased my running around to get cash. Most hospitals now have POS in their offices for payment. Please encourage your own hospital to do same. The advantages overweigh the disadvantage we self inflicted on ourselves.

The issue here is availability of the New Note. CBN says no old note but they havent made new notes available.

If ATM was successfully dispensing 20k per account daily as they said on paper. There would have been no crisis

2. what is your email subject?

3. I suspect your mails are landing in SPAM since you are using custom email that has not been warmed up

4. Do you use a mail tracking service to see if your mails are being read? or you assumed they are not being read because there are no replies

5. In this business, what we want is sales and not replies, just ensure your mails are hitting inbox and you have a good read/open rate

2. He is an empolyee of Epik, and not the relationship manger/account officer for nairaland domaining thread/community so therefore He does not owe this thread any warnig, Epik's issue is not hidden, it didnt take years for it to become open

So anybody claiming not to know whats going on with Epik, proves the person doesnt read, research and is not part of a domaining community.

I think you are very reasonable. And thank you for that. If you look at my first post, you'll see I wasn't going to disparage anyone. I simply sounded an alarm for people who may not already know about what's happening at epik. But then had to reply to some unrefined replies.

And besides, I'll never agree it isn't a Tony problem and I won't repeat what I've said before. If you look at several of the complaints on Trustpilot, you'll see many people mentioning Tony for the role he played. So I don't think I'll my share experience without mentioning him.

Also, I still genuinely want to know why he continues to work with epik when he knows people aren't getting paid. I simply don't get it. He could easily get job elsewhere if he wanted to.

There is no guarantee he can easily get another job elsewhere and as for him remaining with Epik, its entirely up to him.

He doesnt owe an explanation why he is being there. Morality and business does not mix, if you choose to be moral, it doesnt mean someone else will.

As for cancellation, I dont know if the escrow had already been completed by the time your cancellation instruction came in. either which way, the company already had issues with payouts and from most complaints I have read, no domainers complaints or instructions have been attended to by Epik since this whole thing started.

If Tony had resigned. Another staff would have still screwed you over(See why its an Epik problem)

Out of curiousity, why didnt you use DAN, Godaddy or Escrow to process this transaction?

Epik is currently unstable. It would be pure WICKEDNESS for anyone to recommend another domainer to use epik at the moment. Even if ICANN has structures in place to protect your domains, that doesn't mean everything will be smooth & straightforward in the event that epik 'dies'.

IF you are making reference to the post that triggered all of this then There is no wickedness to be factual and there was also no need to put any disclaimer on that initial post.

Its a simple case of passing on if someone doesnt have any interest in the offer. I will consider it wickedness if this was coming maybe a day after epik issues became known but Epik issues has been ON for months and the offer was publicly placed here and not sent to newbies privately. This shows there was no ulterior motives.

Finally, it was not a recommendation. It was an offer.

I dont know Tony or Branduche, neither have I had any dealings with 2Sexy. We should call things as they are

He, as a Nigerian, should have stopped working with epik when he knows epik is owing dozens of people money and won't pay subsequent customers. And if he decides to work with them, that's his problem.

I guess this will teach you how life works. Tony should have stopped working because Epik is owing, are you the one that will feed him and pay his bills? what will happen IF epik finally resolves all this? will you give him another job? you clearly stated that if he decides to work for them, that is his problem, why are you complaining?

I dont have the full knowledge of whats going on with Epik or if they will survive this. they may or may not. The new CEO has said that domainers are not their core customer and this speaks volumes. Hope for the best that you will be able to get your money out.

Just to add even though it's unrelated.

All those using grey & co to recieve funds including payoneer should know that it comes with a risk.

One day, anything can happen & your funds can become stuck & lost forever. You should be aware of that risk & prepare your mind for it.

One way to mitigate this is to use crypto to recieve payout & your dorm acc(they all have their risk)

For old timers, nobody expected libertyreserve to go under but it went down with alot of peoples fund.

His own name was even on lease, he had reached out to Epik to cancel the lease & likewise told the buyer to stop making payments. It didn't go down well cos Epik kept making withdrawals

Epik is having serious issues that is beyond all of us, if you are affected, it's painful but you have to wait & see how things unfold.
