Romance › Re: Can You Date A 16 Year Old Girl? by TheSeeker(m): 11:18pm On Aug 23, 2009
Why should I date a 16 year old girl? First of all, girls between their teen ages up to 20 years are usually so immature to handle (but not all of them), however, I'd never date a girl below 20. The youngest I can date is 20. I sorta prefer girls who are between 2 years younger than myself and 3 years older than me.

You can't say for sure if there are politicians on this forum or not. There are policemen, lawyers, doctors, embassy officials (carefully watching and remaining on DL), secret agents, you name it - so why will a politician be an exception?

I think Pete was warned not to disclose what ever went down during the bargains and negotiations. That's what's going on here. He couldn't have been released for free, unless bail is now free at Nigerian police stations.

Another confused and cluelessly foolish woman on the loose! angry  The truth is some women will not seize to annoy you. You were not at loggerheads with your best friend as at the time you were getting married or entering a relationship with your husband; why didn't you just be patient until your friend sees reasons to be with you? You're just being stupid and selfish. Were you pressured into marriage? How old are you anyway? Are you that stupid that you're married and still can't keep your mind off another guy? It's women like you that make other women look bad. You should bury your head in shame. You're a disgrace.

Well, my two cents will be concise. You've got two options here: Tell your husband about this (it'll hurt him and probably lead your marriage to breaking) or you stop contacting the guy immediately. It might be hard telling him at first, but believe me, it'll reduce your stress and worries to a bearable minimum.
Your decision to not contact him might not truly be effective, because the more you try to restrain from that, the more attracted you'll feel; but if you're the determined type of lady (which I don't see any of such traits in you), you'll be successful at desisting from any form of contact with him.

Not being pessimistic but I see your marriage crashing already -- it seems to me like you can't do any of those two things.

AMAKA, you might want to prepare a few questions, post them and nominate a few people to answer the questions. Like ten males and ten females or even as many people as you can nominate, then when they answer, there'll be a general consensus where people who pick who they want. The highest number, which you may already have known, will judge who will likely be a Nairalander fit to be Nigerian President (if that's your goal).

It might be rigorous but fun too. And this is your thread, don't diss people on it or you'll be derailing your own thread.

Politics › Re: No Nigerian Citizenship For British By Marriage by TheSeeker(m): 6:56pm On Aug 23, 2009
Imagine Nigeria rejecting people to be her citizen. Exactly what are they proud of? Don't get it wrong, I'm a proud citizen of Nigeria but I don't see any reason for their strictness when in fact the approach to getting a passport is loose. I know a lot of non-Nigerians who possess Nigerian passports; so what's the big deal about? There's nothing money can't achieve in Nigeria. In fact, people register for passports and send to other people abroad. Nonsense.

I'm a citizen to three countries (have 3 passports) and there's nothing wrong with Nigeria allowing others have access to being citizens when certain requirements are met. But live in Nigeria for at least 15 years? That's crazy! Who will do that? Can they, the rule setters, live in Nigeria for 15 years straight without jogging up and down overseas?

Stupid leaders won't give my country dignity.

Romance › Re: My Underwear by TheSeeker(m): 5:23pm On Aug 23, 2009
@Nex,
That was just an instance and I don't see where and how there was a curse in that relationship. Let me tell you something, the girl didn't want your friend anymore because of him ass-licking her, but because she was tired of the guy being insecure. Ok, check this: Your friend is ugly, she's beautiful and she had at the first place wanted to him. Maybe then she was hallucinating. Now, she's got with him and found out he's lame and can't put up with him - your friend finds out and feels he has to do that to be in her good books. That's what the girl found out and she didn't want that.

If the guy had stayed real she may probably have not decided to leave the guy. That's what I said on another thread that no one should try to please a girl if it's not in their character to do so -- try being who you're. Well, maybe your friend's ex-girlfriend discovered the guy was doing all that so she'd stay and she didn't want none of that. She wanted someone real, not to her, but to himself.

And again, the way you portray yourself is how your girlfriend will regard you. Washing her undies doesn't make you inferior and like I said before, it's not some sort of responsibility. Ok, let me guess, if you cook for your girlfriend, it's a curse? If you bath her, is that a curse? If she washes your undies, it's doom? Come on, I expected you to be more logical. There's no curse in this. But the hype in Nigeria is when a man washes his woman's undies that he's under some kind of spell or metaphysical power -- which in fact, may not be true in all cases.

So tell me, what's wrong with washing for your girlfriend? Like you just want to make her feel like a queen and you ask her to relax and you wash for her while she looks on? What's wrong with that? That doesn't in any way abuse or puncture your masculinity (as long as your game is tight). That doesn't mean the woman will start taking you for granted; howbeit, some women don't deserve such gestures, but if she's worth it, why not do it? I don't care, I've said it to many friends of mine that I washed undies for my ex-girl, well, a couple of them saw me in the process, they just laughed.

They know me to be quite a no-nonsense kind of guy and they see for themselves that no girl will want to take that as a hold on me. Matter of fact, some of their friends wished I was their boyfriend grin grin not because they thought I was being stupid, but because in spite of my strict and serious attitudes, I could still be humble enough to do that. It doesn't make you less a man. There are lots of things that make you less a man than you ever will know, not these types of things. And I have to say that your theory holds with some sets if immature girls, who I have no doubt you must have been involved with. No mature girl in her senses will think a guy is being timidly and lousily stupid for washing her undies unless she finds out that he's doing it to please her on purpose and not an act embedded in him, or at least comes from his heart.

Romance › Re: My Underwear by TheSeeker(m): 1:27pm On Aug 23, 2009
If she gossips with her friends about it, how does she present you? Ok, let me rephrase that, how do you think she'll tell them? That her boyfriend is a lame duck? I want to believe you'll have known your girlfriend enough before you do that (although not all girls deserve that). It doesn't make you look inferior and it depends on how you see it. I'm not saying it'd be a matter of responsibility, but doing it while you can - you could do it for fun and laugh over it.

It's just that in Nigeria meaningless things are overhyped for no just reasons.
Celebrities › Re: Naomi Campbell Is Capble Of Taking Jay Z From Beyonce by TheSeeker(m): 1:16pm On Aug 23, 2009
One thing we don't understand is that, when a man decides he's staying with a woman, no woman will take him away no matter how hard and tricky she tries. Even if such man cheats on his woman, he's most likely not taken away.

I'm sure Jay saw a lot of other girls before he decided he wants to settle down with Beyonce. Although I'm not a big fan of both of them, but their relationship has been very salty. It's been really good for the both of them. I don't see anyone taking J from B, at least not for now. Jay's decision is to stay with her not with anyone else. Their relationship has a lot more to it than people know; it's much deeper than we can ever imagine.

Simply put, when J loses interest in the relationship, then anyone can take him away - even my 99 year old grandma will do. grin
Romance › Re: 'why Is It Always Hard For Me To Get Babe by TheSeeker(m): 1:06pm On Aug 23, 2009
It depends on a lot of things which you don't have.

Firstly, being insecure about yourself extricates every chance and courage available for you to have a girlfriend. No girl whether materialistic or not will want to be with a guy who doesn't have some kind of security with themselves. Maybe when you make your points you overemphasize on your looks which puts them off; you also need to note that not all girls go after looks - but most of them do. The ones that check out looks have varied tastes when it ever comes to determining if a guy's handsome or not. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I'm pretty sure you're not ugly to anyone - however, refrain from fidgeting over your looks.

Another thing is, even though you think you're not good-looking, try as much as you can to dress well. When you dress well, not everyone sees your looks; people are rather attracted to how you're dressed and what you wear. Take for instance, a handsome guy whose dress sense is drab (although I believe rating looks has to come, of course, with dressing too), do you think ladies will exactly go for him? No, I don't think so. Some might go for him with the hope of teaching him how to dress but most ladies won't. The way you dress tells a lot - it brings people closer to you.

How you comport yourself in public matters a lot. Are you the kind that talks too much? Do you make sense when talking? How humorous are you? Are you the type of person who doesn't know when and when not to play around? What can you say about your maturity level?

If girls have rejected you, on what grounds exactly have they done so? You need to check out these things and try to be in moderation. However, being yourself is the main key (although some girls prefer fake people). Don't try to copy anyone, be who you're and I'm sure someone will come along. It's better a girl falls for who you're than someone you're not because in the end, you'll end up losing her.

Romance › Re: My Underwear by TheSeeker(m): 12:50pm On Aug 23, 2009
nex:
"ewor!" Abomination! Don't you people know that this thing can put a curse on your relationship if you're not careful? I'm being real here. Forget about superstition.

If a man should start washing his partner's underwear, there will be attitudinal change in that relationship. Secondly, if people got to find out about it, they'll start putting external pressure on the relationship and leading it towards the rock.

So when people say it can lead to a curse or bad luck, the truth is that once such a thing starts, the relationship is most likely doomed.

I will never do it except in a situation where even the Devil can justify. Imagine if my wife loses her arms or does not know how to operate the washing machine.

In other words, we're saying the same thing.
I believe you do have the right to your opinion but I want to ask this: How can external pressure lead your relationship to being broken just because you're washing your girl's undies? Who will go and tell them? I thought that was supposed to be a private thing (even though I can tell my friends about it). There's something you've got to realize about friends, sometimes, they don't act like they talk to their fellows. They say one thing and do the other in private. That's why I ask myself what it takes some guys to be real to themselves.

You also talked about attitudinal change? How? You mean, like, the girl will start acting all big or superior to you?
