Lol, on earth we still say 'thank you'

It's actually 'LOL' and not 'Lol'. Uppercase letters are used to spell acronyms. Every sentence should also end with a punctuation mark.

RomanceRe: Typical Beliefs In Nigerian Relationships I Dislike by TheSonOfMark(m): 11:46pm On Apr 26, 2015

I've never had a first date in any of aforementioned conventional places - it's too predictable.

I once took a lady to the E-library here in Uyo. I also prepared my native meal of ekpàng with a lady, grocery shopping and even house hunting.

DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES SHE'S BEEN TAKEN TO EATERIES? DO SOMETHING NEW AND ADVENTUROUS!
The visits to conventional places like eateries , cinemas and parks should come later and unpredictably too. I TOOK MY MISSY OUT YESTERDAY AND GUESS WHAT WE WERE DOING? - WE WERE PLAYING VIDEO RACING GAMES! I let her beat me twice though.wink

You can choose to have a relationship which isn't limited by society's stereotype.

I posted an analogy of the OP being the alter ego of one of the females. He opens treads to eulogize ONLY THREE FEMALE MONIKERS in particular...and those monikers happen to be 'e-friends'. There's a pattern the OP creates : The females being 'eulogized' are passive whenever the OP is active and vice versa. Discerning psychoanalysts would decipher it. Some of us can't be fooled.

My point? The female being 'eulogized' is actually the OP. That solves the riddle.

What beauty? You mean the distortion of reality by smearing themselves with emulsion paint and updating heavily photoshopped pictures of themselves on social media?

Don't mind them joor...was she looking this good on her daughters birthday?? There was a thread on that last week, I even commented that she was looking old
That's the point! These females try to distort reality with fake impressions of their beauty.
I can't be cowered into submission. I tell the truth everyone else is scared of admitting 'cause they want to seem politically correct. That's what I am known for ( in the romance section especially). When I actually compliment a post/persona/moniker, it's because it is TRULY deserved.
I do seek the superfluous commendations heaped on "NICE GUYS". I also do not seek Nairaland alliances whatsoever. I am a one-man 'army'. smiley

You haters of women na from there Una from comot. The least you guys can do is to congratulate and encourage her. She gave the PDP guy a run for his money. Bloody chauvinist.

Hypocrite! Even the supposed more enlightened (APC) South-West region didn't produce a female governorship candidate not to talk of voting for her. I am a PDP supporter but I was rooting for her. The powers that be in the north wouldn't want a woman ruling them.

Corrections: 1. This is a case of pot calling kettle black. I corrected you initially, but you did not acknowledge it. You went straight to telling me I did not put quotation marks.

2. I corrected you that, you should not always put quotation marks when you define words, but you failed to acknowledge it also.

3. Your second accusation is laughable. Not at all. I didn't learn that from you. Who will not know that? tongue

OP, sorry for derailing your thread. I and TheSonOfMark are learning from each other. wink
Ever heard of the word 'logomachy'? It's what we are engaging in. Admit it: This is more or less a battle of wits and neither of us wants to be seen as ' the vanquished'. You, especially, do not want to lose to a MAN. Which brings us back to my afore-posted comment about vanity. It corroborates my assertion, doesn't it? smiley

You need to work on yourself. This attitude of yours...this cynicism won't take you anywhere.

I am sapiosexual- beauty alone doesn't move me. Superficiality turns some of us off completely. Be they my female siblings, cousins or friends, I always tell females to reduce their attachment for superficiality and be confident enough to be NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL.

Only vidiots are moved by painted girls.

Correction: You have cleverly deviated from what I was trying to point out to you. I defined Law-breaker, and I pointed out that there will be no need for quotation marks. You said initially that, 'one should always use quotation marks to define words' which is wrong. wink
Corrections: 1. You conveniently skipped acknowledging the fact that you should have used quotation marks.

2. You also didn't acknowledge the fact that you learnt using an uppercase letter as against a lowercase letter to continue a sentence after a double colon mark from me. Yes, I noticed. wink

Correction: one should always use quotation marks to compare words.
But we cannot always use quotation marks to define words. E.g
A law-breaker is a person who does not obey the law.
You can see that, there is no need for quotation marks in the above definition.

Correction: You were COMPARING the validity of the afore-stated ('stock-in-trade' and 'stocktrade') .You weren't even DEFINING (if you know what defining means). You should have used quotation marks. wink

Spot on! Anyone with good psychoanalytical abilities would notice the similarities between 'their' personas and mode of writing aren't mere coincidence. When one of the monikers is active, the other becomes passive and vice versa.

Hahaha... Done this before... Went into A lounge/restaurant once ...sat down and they brought the menu.. Omo come see price shocked ... 4000 Naira for a plate of one average meal like that ... Ah ah...I fit eat with that money for 1week naa... So I just chill, after like 10mins, I pretended to get a call and that I was telling the person where I was but they didn't seem to be hearing me due to bad reception. So I just je jejely and respectfully excused myself and told the waiters I needed to go finish the call outside to direct my friend in...

I tear comot from that place sharp sharp... No long thing. Why would you sell me a plate of chips and one small looking chicken like that for nearly half my allowee? A beg oooo ... My mama no be Mrs Dangote Dantata angry angry

But yawa go gas for your head if you dey make fake call and receive a real call at the same time...especially if your phone is on loud. My dear...OYO shall be your case cheesy

I know on the Apple App Store there are actually apps that help you ''make fake calls'... You set it up on a timer, and the app actually configures your phone to ring you and engages you in a conversation with the imaginary person on the other end. The beauty is no phone credit is used. So you can set it if you are going on a date ...for the app to ring you in 1hr or 30mins....

Depending on how your date is going, you can either answer and tell your date the call is urgent and have to leave or you can just tell your date it was just a friend making an enquiry and continue with your date. Brilliant App!

I don't know if Android has it though. I'm sure they do. grin

You, missy, are a 'bad' girl. wink

All I see is a gynohumanoid whose face is smeared WITH EMULSION PAINT and capped with FAKE WEAVES making her seem like a faded geisha.
IF SHE'S TRULY BEAUTIFUL AND CONFIDENT SHE SHOULD UPDATE PICTURES OF HER MAKE-UP-FREE FACE WHICH HAVEN'T BEEN PHOTOSHOPPED.

I've got conscience. Can't even reason that.

We Africans are overly superstitious. The dead aren't conscious. Why would you think it equates SNATCHING your LATE friend's spouse when the dead can't lay claim to the living? Even the marriage vow has a clause - "...Till death do us part...".
