jonuel1:This your write up didn't get me thinking you're a slowpoke. It clearly proves you're a slowpoke with an empty shell devoid of grey matter resting on your neck. If you come into a house and you meet it dirty and falling apart, whom should we blame? you the new tenant or the old tenant too dumb and wicked to keep a domicile neat and safe? If we don't blame gej, whom should we blame? In case you're too shallow to know it, we will only start blaming you the new tenant if you refuse to start the house cleaning and i'm not happy with PMB because in my estimation, the cleaning and reorganization is proceeding slowly |
drss:I no blame una too at all after all GEJ was able to convince you that stealing isn't corruption so since he saw nothing wrong in spending the ECA anyhow he wanted without recourse to the law, Amaechi and co too didn't want to miss out on the windfall. What did GEJ save? How much did he meet in the Excess crude account? how much did he leave there? See Soludo your brother ripping him apart on this issue http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/176097-soludo-replies-okonjo-iweala-accuses-her-of-forging-national-economics-statistics.html |
ERAKAMUS:since you heard him say it, what is stopping your march to Aso rock to demand he does that? |
anonimi:You're the stockholm syndrome patient my friend. A man couldn't save the country during time of boom. yet you still believe he could save you when the economy has gone bust? you need help my friend |
drss:But the same Ngozi spent months denying there was any problem? was she hallucinating or on drugs then? You see the problem with you and your ilk is your haste to forget that GEJ was an EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT FOR CHRIST SAKE!!! how can Amaechi usurp his powers?? Do you take orders from your child, junior siblings or girlfriend? He was supposed to be in charge my friend. How did you think OBJ was able to pay off debts, and still leave substantial savings for Yardua/GEJ? or Didn't they also take him to court? It was by knowing he was president and putting his foot down as the president my friend. an attribute GEJ desperately lacked. even PEJ would have been a stronger president. Let any gov forum chairman try that nonsense with PMB today.....you'll surely scream he has gone back to being a dictator and i dare say that is what Nigeria needs now....A DICTATOR NOT AFRAID TO TAKE THE VERY HARD AND TOUGH DECISIONS. |
permsec:I agree with being optimistic and it's not only about the leaders, even the populace need to be. However, it's necessary to know where you're coming from so you know how you'll get out of the mess. That i think is what this govt is doing. I will say i'm not impressed with the pace but being slow is better than rushing into disaster. With honesty of purpose and determination, we will get out of the economic quagmire i firmly believe. |
Iykopee:Nigeria had been dead in that context before PMB came in. I admit PMB is not doing enough but his less than enough is better than GEJ who presided over record oil sales yet still led us into economic problems. Also Job losses started under your hero even with the oil boom Jan 2010 https://www.nairaland.com/376844/oceanic-bank-sacks-another-1250 Jan 2012 http://www.punchng.com/business/access-bank-sacks-1500-intercontinental-employees-shuts-branches-2/ Feb 2012 http://www.proshareng.com/news/Mergers%20&%20Aquisitions/Ecobank-sacks-over-1,000-staff-after-Oceanic-Bank-merger-in-Nigeria/16344 Feb 2015 http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/oil-firms-face-project-delays-layoffs-over-slump-in-oil-price/202104/ March 2015 http://www.nigeriacommunicationsweek.com.ng/e-financial/nigerian-banks-in-trouble-plan-mass-sack-of-workers April 2015 http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/04/14/mass-sack-at-diamond-bank/ will you now admit he was the definition of clueless? |
permsec:Every slowpoke in the country knew we were in problems then and would be for a long time so Ngozi said nothing new. In fact, she had lived in denial for a long time before admitting the truth some months before the elections because it was dumb and childish to keep lying to oneself. What folks were angry and sad about was why Nigeria had to suddenly go broke less than 6 months after enjoying oil at record prices? How must that make her feel as a world class economic expert? That after regaling us with how wonderful our economy was doing, she had to do a volte face and admit it was all a farce? |
^^^^^ of course the pace is slow but making it look like GEJ could have done better today with oil @ $46/barrel when he couldn't @ do so with oil @ over $100/barrel is delusionary at best and dishonest at worst |
Firefire:Hear what Dr Okonjo Iweala said 5 days after PMB was sworn in Nigeria’s former Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said her successor will face a “difficult” year because of plunging oil revenues and the economy needs expert management to weather the storm.she and other experts had also predicted harsh economic climate for the nation in February, 3 months before PMB was sworn in http://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/nigeria-the-poor-are-about-to-get-poorer-experts.108113/ So to every reasonable adult, it's very obvious that most of what we are grappling with today is a carryover from the previous govt. I will not give high marks to the current govt. I am not excited about the seemingly slow pace but you should know that it is only a crooked man that will attribute all the anomalies today to PMB. |
Aareonakakanfo:Ibadan is not only about Hausa/Fulani o. Even well to do Niger Deltans are relocating in their numbers because of its serenity and abundance of good schools for children. At least that's what pushed the colleagues I mentioned there. |
superstar1:Ibadan is already expanding too due to the same migration. Two of my colleagues in portharcourt have already relocated their families to Ibadan and have even started building their houses there. I don't know whether to or |
superstar1:Unfortunately, you're right |
anonimi:Congrats on your condemnation of Fayose. I hope we can proceed in peace and decorum now? |
anonimi:Will you also follow Jonathan to Lower Niger republic if/when Nigeria finally disintegrates? Abi wetin concern an ijaw man with this thread? How many derogatory names have you seen folks here call Fayose who is obviously a 'hero' to you? Why not respect yourself and your 'yorubaness' by staying on the trajectory of the thread? If you're being paid to support PDP, why not restrict your support to the threads promoting such? Shymexx, ilekehd, aare and others have apportioned blames rightly to all politicians from both sides of the divide which goes to show that this thread isn't about promoting any party so what exactly is eating you up? Is it by force you contribute here? Why not allow folks like us learn in peace here? If you're really Yoruba, you won't disturb the peace of this thread. Abeg oga, free us in the name of whatever you hold in reverence pls. |
Kestolovee95: ![]() Did he also have shares in BAT? ![]() Your dumbness knows no bounds.the way its easy for you to believe the ediocy you propagate should provide ample research opportunities for psychologists interested in study of humans and their delusions of grandeur. Keep it up Anyway I am the monkey in a British lugardian cage in love with my chains? How can i understand? ![]() Of course you can't understand as you're a self confessed animal resident in a Zoo. I'll remember you in my prayers for you to get free and enjoy what other humans are enjoying. |
Kestolovee95:Dunce, tell us when Shell and BAT are sacking their Nigerian employees to satisfy your dumb expectations? |
Kestolovee95:When is Shell Petroleum sacking all the Nigerians in their employ? What about British-American Tobacco based in Ibadan? Have they written to inform you of when all Nigerians on their payroll are going home? I really wonder about the thinking capacity of some of you ![]() |
Abeg the politicians should spare us the politics here pls. There are enough threads for that. Here Tinubu and Fayose are the same because they both belong to this elegant tribe of Yoruba. Folks like me who know pretty little about the SW are learning about home here. Ema da iyepe si flow wa jare ![]() |
They seem to be very close....I like it ![]() |
Vivalavida99:Season 1 - gossip things ![]() They seem to be close....I like it ![]() |
![]() This one na gossip things o |
Haaaaaaa!!!!.....ekpe reeeee But after an encounter with those customs guys, it will take the grace of God for you not to invoke the worst curses from sanpona and his associates on them and their families ![]() The Guy's pain is very real and even tangible.....I can almost touch it through my screen ![]() I wish Hameed Ali the best in his task....but he won't find it easy |
Shymm3x:This post of yours is so on point but I like the bolded portion best. Let the oil serve those in the vicinity of it while others focus on their land. My alma mater (OAU) I learnt was built with cocoa money. I wonder which oil state will be able to replicate such project today. This whole discussion on agriculture is giving me plenty things to think about. I really have heard some home truths today from you guys. Eledumare a ro ojo aanu, ibukun ati alafia si agbegbe gbogbo yin o |
Gbawe:I hope the issue is pursued to its logical conclusion. The country could utilise those funds very well in these trying times |
bettercreature:Of course the way Oshiomhole talked about it then, its obvious they're working on it. Diezani's confinement to UK till next year isn't for nothing. Read somewhere that USA, UK and Switzerland are collaborating with Nigeria on the matter |
bettercreature:This is the part that got me thinking too. So Oshiobaba didn't make up stories? |
wachakuta: @the boldIf wailers catch you ehn..... |
And somebody wants me to pity MTN ![]() |
dustmalik:Very terrible bro but you're right. See the below An official of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, told Vanguard last weekend that foreign debt would hover around USD10.7 billion by end 2015, showing over 200 per cent up from USD3.5 billion recorded by the debt relief deal of 2006. DMO records show USD10.3 billion as at June this year. I hope GEJ 'the gentleman' in his meeting with PMB today explained what he and his 'girls' did with the money? And to think this debt was amassed during the period when the country enjoyed record oil prices and relative peace in the Niger Delta. We all love to bash OBJ but the 'monster' brought sanity to our financial state. His biggest error was the 3rd term bid which resulted in him forcing Yaradua/Jonathan on the country perhaps as punishment. Anyway....I no go talk ![]() |
