Gbawe: I really don't understand the guy and his logic. Why would Fashola crave the FCT portfolio when he can have the most critical portfolio in Nigeria, nay Africa, whereby he becomes a universal legend if he succeeds?
Politics of bitterness has so destroyed the ability of some to reason effectively. FCT indeed. There is no sector more pivotal to the success of Nigeria than Power. Fashola will relish the challenge ,if he indeed becomes Minister of Power, because the man loves his nation and would welcome the opportunity to make a big difference . @the bold, don't bother trying to. The bitterness, hatred and anger that's pervading his life since Buhari sent Jonathan packing is worse than that existing between Isreal and Palestine. Can't you see how illogical and incoherent he sounds? I bet he himself doesn't understand anything he's saying but he must talk so he can have an avenue to expel some of the pent up negativity threatening to burn him up. Imagine a sane mind placing FCT ahead of power in this 21st century third world country!! Infact, every pro fashola commenter has always indicated that they'll prefer him in power or works and NOT FCT. The guy and his likes are irredeemable. |

This is interesting.....
I have always heard this repeated over and over again with some very silly interpretations "he was the best President that Nigeria never had.''
The man left no one in doubt what he meant because he explained it in such simple terms that even a slowpoke should understand
"Many have wondered what I meant by this, but I believe the statement was clear. Nigeria would have benefitted from his presidency because of his innate presidential qualities. Nigeria must continually regret that he never, for many reasons, had the opportunity to serve at the presidential level"
The man obviously rated Awo very highly!!!
Why then the desperate and silly attempts by some juvenile delinquents to make Ojukwu seem like a drunk who didn't understand the English words he spoke by himself? |

BrokenTV: Tell me Is Tinubu not corrupt, is Fashola not corrupt, is Amaechi not corrupt, or should we mention Sylva of Bayelsa, or APC governorship candidate in Kogi that promised to return 11 billion If elected. That is the point my friend... Corruption walking out on corruption. The same guys doing abobaku for Saraki at his corruption trial are now walking out on Amaechi's case...its laughable my friend |
Politics › Re: Why We Walked Out On Saraki—akpabio by theV0ice: 11:44pm On Oct 29, 2015 |
Who were those that walked out because of corruption? Was Buruji Kashamu there? Was Joshua Dariye there? Was Stella Oduah there? Did Theodore Orji also walk out? Did Akpabio himself also walk out? People dey walk out because of corruption, PDP chieftains sef dey claim walkout. I hope they never walk back into that chamber |

onatisi: can't you see that the walkout was stage managed and it was actually a sellout by pdp senators? Don't be surprised that pdp senators with their Apc counterparts will be going home tonight with some cool millions . Everything you saw today was a sham and it actually proves one thing ,pdp is 75% dead. In the next couple of months I wont be surprised if half of those senators that did the jamboree walkout join APc. What happened today was actually very disgusting and annoying @the bold, it looks like an exaggeration but its not impossible. Anyway, one man I'm sure of is Akpabio. The guy acted a script all through the screening and today was the icing on the cake. He and Amaechi had settled a long time ago. Even Ekweremmadu isn't innocent. Its a quagmire for Nigerians really. APC is still learning the ropes of governance while PDP sucks at learning how to stay in opposition. |

Armaggedon: listen man. It doesn't mean that the nullification of wike's election has been set aside. What the appeal court has said is that a large chunk of the evidence the tribunal relied upon in nullifying the election should't have been admitted by the tribunal. The implication is that wike is lalmost sure of winning when he files his appeal. OK. Its just curious that no other news outlet carried it added to the fact that just yesterday evening, Wike and PDP appealed to the cjn to compel the tribunal to release the details of the judgement so they could prepare their appeal. I wish them goodluck. |

kITATITA: I see Akpabio and Ekweremadu leaving the PDP. Akpabio respects and worships Buhari. He's also friends with VP Osinbajo. As for Ekweremadu, he would tell you he's decamping in order to bring Igbo people to the mainstream but we know that he also wants to protect his job. You're thinking exactly what I'm thinking. Akpabio is no fool. The man is planning ahead. As for Ekweremmadu, you sabi exactly what he's rehearsed to tell his people when the time comes |

NgeneUkwenu: I think the inexperience of the Senate Minority Leader, Godswin Akpabio is rubbing of negatively on the performance of PDP senators in the 8th Assembly..
First, Akpabio led the PDP to keep quite and mute during the Screening of Rotimi Amaechi. That was disservice to Nigerians and especially the constituencies they represent, as they would seized the opportunity to drill Amaechi, make him commit himself by making unguarded comments which might have sold out in the dailies the next day, thereby increasing the rating of the opposition but like every other things associated with PDP, they bungled it.
Today, was another opportunity for the PDP senators as led by Akpabio to make amends, knowing full well, as a minority party, they can only have their say but not their way, which every enlightened mind around already knows. What Akpabio led Opposition, should have done was: Stay put to their seats, conclude the debate on Amaechi, record their votes, even it was not going to change anything but at least it will not polarize the Senate to the advantage of APC.
Now this is the repercussions of their action today on the Senate:
1. Amaechi has been Confirmed
2. Amaechi by the action of the PDP has United APC Senators in the 8th Senate.
3. Ekweremmadu's Seat can no longer be guaranteed..
4. Amaechi has clearly seen his enemies.
Mark it, PDP would only be on downward spiral from this Point.
By Miss Ngene. Hmmm Ngene, I believe Akpabio is playing a game. You think the guy is a fool? My sister, that guy will throw Metuh and co under the bus in this dispensation if the need arises. Forget all his antics o. |

ExInferis: oh im very much with you.
I dont really care who governs Rivers, i've no horse in this race. But i do believe Rivers people deserve better than a bloodthirsty villain. However, that is their choice. If a rerun is held and he wins fair and square, good for them. But the travesty of April 11 must not go unaddressed. That the election of Wike was bloody and tragically flawed is indisputable. But calling for his ouster does not make one a participant in a supposed APC conspiracy that may or may not be real.
It's the principle of it that elicited my indignation. Then I say welcome comrade |

ExInferis: Haha you snarky dork
However it's the clarity of definition that voided the supposed mandate wike claims. If we think in abstraction then the rather amorphous claim by his supporters that he's doing well and thus should be left alone despite his infractions would've grounds to stand.
You favor a society that overlooks injustice. We demand one that penalizes it. So who's living in a bubble of abstract construct? Of course you realise my initial post on this thread was meant to be snarky In my world, Wike has no mandate because I was a witness to the horror show put up as election in Rivers state. Even Chief Adube who was murdered together with his 4 children and 2 brothers so Obuah (PDP state chair) could have free reign of terror in Onelga is well known to me. My friend, my world is very well defined and clear hence I have no sympathy for wike or his loss of a rotten 'mandate'. I hope you're with me in my world? |

In your bid to sound sophisticated you came out misinformed. Yeah I know you live in the abstract world and think in abstract terms....
