Wow it's been over 10 years since she won Nigerian Idols. Her final battle with Joe Blue in the final was epic. I wonder whether Joe blue, the first runner up has found his feet yet. Congrats to Mercy. |
kmcutez:To the best of my knowledge, Oil exploration in commercial quantities hasn't happened in any Northern State (Kogi is middlebelt) and no Northern State has been declared as oil producing. So the answer to your question is No based on available facts at the moment. |
aribisala0:Oh okay. I got you now. Brilliant idea for them to create environment for establishing processing plants in the North. |
kmcutez:Correct. They will also collect VAT from Shell and Mobil's exploration activities based in their State. |
Lol no be only Peru, pls marry Brazil join ![]() |
aribisala0:You are right that processing will render VAT exemption inapplicable on most agricultural produce. The real question is whether most of the processing activities happen in the North or the South. |
smeag0l:Upstream oil operations (crude oil exploration) are not exempted in VAT exempt list. Only downstream operations are I.e marketing and sale of petroleum products. Most upstream activities occur in the south south. Also, oil companies withhold VAT at source from their vendors servicing them (often in the SS). The VAT withheld would have to be remitted to those states where the services were consumed. |
kmcutez:Sorry it's my mistake. Downstream operations (marketing and sale of petroleum products) is exempt from VAT. I wanted to refer to upstream operations (Crude Oil exploration) which is not specifically VAT exempt. Also, all upstream petroleum companies are required to withhold VAT at source from their suppliers and service providers when those ones present invoices. This would mean that the VAT withheld from many of the entities that support oil companies operations in the SS would have to be remitted to those SS states where the goods or services were consumed. |
DanielPop:Lol, the sad thing for the North at the emboldened is that under the law, there's no VAT on agricultural produce. So OYO is their case, nothing to collect on all those food they produce. This is a big wake up call for Northern States to devise ways of being more investor friendly and shun all these archaic laid-back mentalities. Saudi, UAE and co are also strong Muslim territories but are attracting foreign investors. The sad part is that it is unlikely that the judgement will be upheld at the Supreme Court for obvious reasons. |
smeag0l:I referenced South South as a whole because almost all their States (except Edo) have significant upstream oil operations. VAT on upstream operations will be significant for those States if it should go to them. |
The position of the North is expected because they are the least productive in terms of VATable activities. Their excuse of using the transportation value chain is so myopic. Is that the only business sector in Nigeria? Are they aware that the contribution of interstate logistics services to national GDP is small compared to oil imports, manufacturing of goods or even the regular services sector? Why should they then think that the challenges of VAT collection from a mere interstate transport should be the basis of determining who to collect VAT nationwide? If this new judgement is implemented, Lagos, Ogun, South South and Anambra will carry most of the VAT leaving crumbs for many other states to share. |
Jerryherd:The movie is already an hit as it is the hottest 9ja movie on TV at the moment. It's been the number One movie in Nigeria on Netflix for almost 2 weeks now. WMoney will only add a bit more appeal to it based on his followership, many of whom would have already watched KOB season 1. |
cococandy:Lol, pray tell how did she bend over backwards for him? She married him despite knowing that he already had 4 - 5 kids with 2 other women before marriage. In what utopian world would she expect him not to have any interactions with his senior babymamas? This is even besides his A-class celebrity status. Let me rephrase, if you Cococandy see a man already with 6 children from 3 ladies, will you honestly go ahead and still marry him believing he will cut off his legion of kids and babymamas when married to you? Are you bending over backwards for such a man if you decide to marry him? This is why Annie is being seen as unrealistic/untruthful. I imagine if Davido gets married eventually, and the wife starts complaining publicly that he is visiting Sophia Momodu and Chioma. Lol, tell me who will take her musings serious in this country? Pls do not deceive yourself, not all issues in this world are either black or white, there are shades in between those absolutes more often than not. Maybe Tuface should just have adopted Baba Segi's style with his wives to avoid all this brouhaha ![]() |
Giel:Perqueen or Queenpere ( meaning just queen in Yoruba) ![]() |
OJEEMAH:Lol d guy don miss hin favourite tea. If na Messi now we no go hear word from Pendulums. Good luck to him when he breaks the record sha. |
OJEEMAH:Lol, no be GOAT dey eventually turn to kilishi ni? ![]() Quote me on a dead thread and send coordinates ![]() |
Ishilove:Same here. But they need to increase the reward cos 10M is too small when BBN is doing 90M total package. |
OJEEMAH: I'm doing good bro. Na kilishi matters abi? No wahala |
OJEEMAH:Lol OJ, pls remind me of your qweshion o cos I no remember ![]() |
Fuckthamods:Na now I know say that Messi transfer pain you die enough to lose all sense of objectivity. Transfer wey trend for almost 2 weeks, you say wasnt noticed ba. FYI, CR's return has only been in the news for 6 days and it has already died down. Tbh, Messimerizers dont have any problem with Pendu's return to Manure. Na only Pendulums get problem with the GOAT's move to PSG. Who con dey pained laidis? ![]() |
Nice. Most exciting season for me was the one at Obudu won by yellow Lucan with black Martins as the co-finalist and Ify as the last woman standing. GUS has produced some fine ass nollywood star actors in the persons of Kunle Remi (2010 season winner) and Chris Okagbue (2015 season winner). Baddest winner though is Dominic Mudabai. Guy has same character with Boma of BBN. |
From my experience, work with is a formal term often used by consultants or third party experts to emphasize collaboration with the client. In short, it means to collaborate. For a prospective employee at an interview, it does not seem appropriate if you consider an applicant telling the interviewer: "I will collaborate with you/the company to achieve.." It actually does sound off as if the interviewee is in an external role and may come across as arrogant or misunderstanding of roles. Work with is appropriate to say for a prospective employee when the subject is about engaging with fellow employees or other departments in the same Company. But when the reference is to the Company itself as a whole, the appropriate term for a candidate is work for and not work with. And this has nothing to do with self-confidence but register. That you work for a company doesnt belittle you. Imagine Richard Quest saying he works with CNN, that's wrong, is he a contractor? He simply works for CNN. |
Kilishihunter:To be honest, given our present circumstances, I dont care much about ATM winning Liga again in the short term. Immediate focus is on stabilizing Barca's financial position enough to build a formidable team in the near future. With current team, though I'm confident we won't go the way of Arsenal, we must be careful not to lose our must-win mentality for every match even with present crop of players. Experience has shown that once lost, it's hard to regain. |
Broobembem:Forget looks, it's not only about Tega. Right from the second week, most of the girls admitted they wanted to screw Boma during their T or D session. There must be something about him all of them consistently found attractive. Maybe cos of his Hollywood bad boy sex appeal. I agree with your first and second paragraph though. |
HajiaNotu:Boma has a very sexy body na. And from the first truth or dare game they had, he was the male HM majority of the ladies chose to f*ck instead of kill or marry. Since then, he already knew that most of the girls were fantasizing about taking him to bed. So he merely helped to fulfill their ministry ![]() |
CSTRR:Apparently, rumours going round is that Tega and her husband aren't on good terms as the guy repeatedly cheated on her and is trying to mend fences now that she's on BBN. That logically explains her disregard for her marital status with the Boma entanglement. |
Kilishihunter:Ope Ooo ![]() The retention of the expensive delawood almost gave me a heart attack. |
fitzmayowa:It may seem as though you need to provide more evidence for your above assertion seeing that the term polymath isnt the exclusive preserve of Dr. Yerins. |
Ronaldo fans can deceive themselves all they want all year long. Based on what both Manu and ManCity offered him and Juve's desire to offload him, the truth is that CR has dropped down the pecking order and can no longer command the wage level of the few prime players in Europe. Very funny that this glaring fact is being sugar coated with terms like "selflessness" "loyalty" "challenge" kikikiki. I laugh in Spanish. Where is Dalil8 that was giving us fake news that CR will earn his same wage at Juve. Give us source, the guy japa. I know it's a hard pill to swallow for Ronaldo's fans that the Baba has crashed out of prime level both on the pitch and financial side, hence the false representations. Messi go always remain him Baba on all fronts. |
