If you check the thread on that car Gazzuzz was driving, he had just bought it and was bringing it down to Lagos for some work, its ABS wasn't even functioning yet he could push it that far with plenty backfiring that's how Benz do.
Besides my car is in great shape and I always have a check done before I travel, I easily do 160 on it normally so 220 should be a breeze on a good stretch of road. Note also that the idea is to burn carbon deposits, I'm not going to maintain that speed throughout my trip, 30minutes should be just fine, so will I.

I graduated from the university seven years ago. After my youth service, I went back to my school for a postgraduate program. It took me four years to complete the program due to death of my supervisor and ASUU strikes.

But in between the four years, my hod called and ask me what I do. When she learnt I was unemployed, she asked me to come over to the department and start working as a casual staff for 20k salary. I had to accept since she needed someone skillful in MS office computer packages, beside I have done a lot of odd jobs before then which couldn't feed me let alone paid my rents and school fees.

Then, last year while doing the job, the university commenced recruitment which was very massive, but underground. God being so faithful, I was able to graduate from the masters program at the time and she kept promising to help me push my cv for employment. I came out as the best postgraduate student in my department with the highest FCGPA.

Since then till now, my application has been going one step forward two steps backward. She minuted on the first one last December. It got to the faculty, the Dean minuted and sent it out after much pressure from me, minutes later she ordered the application to be returned and that was all I heard about it. But she pushed her son's application and he was employed as well as our Hod's. She pushed her daughter's and her husband's niece, they both got while she kept lamenting that she's confused on how to go about mine, stating she has ran out of idea on how to go about it.

This afternoon, she called to inform me that, the university wants names of all the ad-hoc staff in all the departments for immediate employment as junior staff. She was asking me if I'm interested in the offer since I'm currently a PhD student and the job should be for ssce or fslc holders...

She said if I should accept the offer that it might terminate my chances of getting a teaching job, which I've been applying.

Please, what should I reply her?

I really feel for you, but don't feel too bad, it happens like that sometimes. It could have been worse.

I saw a Hyundai Sonata 2012 online and I liked the car so I called the seller and arranged for someone I know who is a driver he drives from Warri where I reside to Lagos every day so I told him to help me check out the car, since he’s a driver he should know about cars. So he got there checked the car and told me it is a perfect car that I should pay so I paid and he brought it to me.
When the car got home I started it and immediately I told him I don’t like the sound of the engine that it is too loud and he said it is fine I shouldn’t worry that’s how the car is.
When I drove it I discovered all the bearings on four legs were bad so I changed them the next day, and did lots of maintenance on it.
Fast forward exactly one week later which is yesterday I started hearing a metallic sound from the engine while I was driving so I quickly rushed to park the car. On calling a mechanic this morning he said the it is crankshaft and connecting rod noise that they have to dismantle the engine and change them or he’ll advise me to buy a new engine that if they repair the one on it it wouldn’t last at all.
I am here regretting my life who sent me to buy this car!

Arbitrage games trading no longer profitable for close to 2 months now, you can hardly see errors from them as arbitrage gaming means feeding on bookmakers errors , i have stopped trading it, but it may swing back to full business as soon as as new football season resumes.
So if still interested, i can put you through during my free periods, please i don't mean to advertise arbitrage game trading here and i don't expect people to request for more info. Having a Nigerian used car put up for sale doesn't necessarily mean it was faulty prompting seller to put it up for sales, if going for Nigerian used car, get Gazzuzz service.
With him & God by ur side, you are covered from Lemon purchase.
He saved me from buying an overhyped Nigerian used highlander 2007 in Ibadan few weeks ago.
Seller claimed no hidden faults/pristine state, my friend who went earlier to check fell in love with it only for Gazzuzz to inspect & root out all hidden faults and advise on what the ride actually worth.

You will end up losing the 100k and any other fund you borrowed to recoup your money by placing more bet. That's for sure, you can argue in your mind but that's reality.

The choice of vehicle I feel depend on specific factor (s) that are percular to you. Factors of which you mentioned some:

1) fairly large family (but going for sienna depend on how long your niece will be staying) because if it's for a short time they staying and your immediate family (including you) isn't more than 4 in total then they MAY not be need to opt for Sienna.

2) The unpaved road that leads to your house and considering the nature of Nigeria road generally the Highlander will be a better choice.

A major factor you haven't stated:
3) Who plan on using the car most of the times, if wifey Sienna won't be bad just the way the Highlander won't be a bad choice

4) Profession: What is your profession or wife? (It's a rhythorical question but if you choose you can answer) but if you an Engineer and you plan to use most of the time the new vehicle I would say go for Highlander, trust me when awarding contract(s) the person awarding it want to see some sense of security and stability of the contractor and a vehicle like Highlander would give positive vibe but driving a vehicle like Sienna can give vibe like hope the contractor wouldn't use my money to solve immediate family problem before even starting the job and vice versa in that Sienna connote family man in some profession that one will want a family man.

The long and short of it is that your profession and who intend to drive the vehicle is a major factor.

Thank you for your response, but to me i don't see the Toyota Highlander really fashionable than Sienna, just d naija 'jeep' sense, but the offroads capability of Toyota highlander you mentioned is noted and a strong point to
consider.

Gurus in the house, please i need your advise in choosing between a Toyota highlander (3-rows) and Toyota Sienna for family use, the present small car being used for school runs/outings is no longer convenient as i have nieces staying with me, so i need a bigger car.
I am totally confuse choosing between a 3-rows highlander or Toyota Sienna. Please put into consideration that access road to my residence not really ok as it is unpaved.
