Family › Re: What Can A Woman Do If Her Husband Keeps Threatening Her With Death? by thorpido(m): 2:15pm On Aug 25, 2016 |
EfemenaXY: She should save those messages, take screenshots of them and head off to the nearest police station and show these to them, emphasising she's living in fear of her life, with the constant death threats from her husband - so it's all on record at the very least.
She should also inform her kids about this and get them to help her secure the services of a good lawyer. Then apply to court for a restraining order for him to keep away from her.
This is no marriage. Not with the constant death threats, and this man may just carry them out as promised. A separation is very much in order too. ^^That's it. Since they are separated, she can start the process of divorce. |

It wouldn't be the first time we've had scammer and "helper" being the one and same person employing diversionary tactics to pull the wool over unsuspecting people's eyes. Bothers me too. Geofavor: good.
I have seen 17/18-year olds who are already mature (intellectually and physically). So, do you mean they can get wed at this age? Don't you think they have to wait till they're about a certain age, and also not exceeding that age before settling down? How do you rate the maturity? Abroad,I'll say above 21yrs is right while in Nigeria,I'll say abov e 25yrs is right. |

However I'm sure if she's real she will have other means of proving it if she doesn't have the photos. I did get in contact with the Op but seems she didn't want go throught the process of verification, citing privacy.I let her know that won't work because there's no way you will want access to public funds here on Nairaland and not be scrutinized. @Op,no one is going to display your pictures or documents here but if indeed you are real and need help then some verifiers must see them. |

Christianity Etc › Re: From Atheism To Jesus: My Testimony by thorpido(m): 6:10pm On Aug 19, 2016 |
LucifersTongue: It's okay if your golden boy claims all atheists are possessed by demons and I'm the son of his arch-enemy but it's an insult to claim someone who talks like that is acting like a lunatic??
You clearly the missed the part where I said he wasn't the only one to have messed around with ouija boards. My friends and I (and many others, I expect) grew up reading lots of fantasy and horror novels. It doesn't take a lot to imagine what we would have tried then.
Let's even forget about burden of proof. Do you know the number of early scientists (when determinism was a strongly held belief) that dabbled into mysticism?? A lot! Newton and Pascal are famous examples. None of their adventures yielded anything of note!
You must be naive to think I will call upon satan or say some magical words and then... poof! Scary unnatural things happen. Lol.
The simple fact is: if it were real, there would be uncontroversial proof by now. You still clearly haven't told us what you have tried, you only just told me to imagine it.I was so into horror films in the early 80s too so i know what to imagine. We however will like to read about books you hav e read, instructions there that you have tested, places you have visited to disprove the existence or power of these spirits. |
Christianity Etc › Re: From Atheism To Jesus: My Testimony by thorpido(m): 4:22pm On Aug 19, 2016 |
LucifersTongue: 1. I can't believe you compared the real experience of a rape victim to a supernatural experience that isn't real. That's downright disgusting!
2. Lucifer's son... lol. You don't really believe this, do you? cos it makes it seem like I'm talking to a lunatic.
3. You must think you're the only one who has fuucked around with Ouija boards, pentagrams etc. Only idiots believe such things are real. This is 2016, not the dark ages! It's like saying I'm scared of boogeyman or big foot. Grow up!
4. A "scientist" who believes supernatural phenomena is real [e.g. you] would set out to give a detailed report with tested, reproducible evidence that such things are real. Such a "scientist" would publish his result to let the academic community know his STARTLING discovery. After other scientists have reproduced your wonderful results, you would then proceed to bag almost all awards in science and philosophy for shattering conservation laws and basically all other established ideas in science and proving that naturalism is wrong. You shall be known as the "father of supernaturalism"!
But, no! You, an acclaimed scientist, asked me to go on google and search for rituals procedure. Hehehe.
5. The funniest part was where you described supernatural events as proven and reproducible! You aren't the only raving lunatic who claims to be a scientist and believes in the supernatural. There are many like you. However, none of them is yet to publish a single article in a reputable journal to prove their hilarious claims.
Example: If miracles are reproducible, ask your pastors to go into the mad and sick houses to heal everyone. But, of course, there'll always be an excuse for why he can't reproduce his miracles!
One thing is for sure, you lied when you claimed you're a scientist. You don't speak or think like one. You didn't answer my questions about reconciling science with your conflicting beliefs. You still haven't told me your research field. I told you mine.
You're a very dishonest person at best. Only emotional people will be fooled by your Part 1-3 horseshit fiction. You are quick to insult and rather use these insults to cover or dodge the fundamental question Op raised.Have you carried out experiments to determine if demons exist? He said go through the processes on how to invite demons and let us read what your findings are.We will be waiting to read. At least he showed us here things he had done.Let's see things you have done to disprove the existence of spirits. |

The issue of no1 is subjective. When a girl starts growing up as a teenager, she should start to have her privacy.I've seen a couple of families where dressing up in front of the dad didn't mean a thing however.
Mouth-to-mouth kiss is out of it.
3,4,5 should be left for the mum to handle.
6,If they are that close, sex education and sex related discussions with the dad is alright. He has a role to play too. |

Health › Re: Pregnancy Are You Pregnant Or Going Through A High Risk Pregnancy,,lets Talk by thorpido(m): 12:03pm On Aug 18, 2016 |
PresVA: Is malareich safe in third trimester? Any implication of using it at 35weeks? Any safer malaria drug to use at 35weeks?
My fear stems from this: "Sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine should only be used during pregnancy if the benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus. Because pyrimethamine is a folate antagonist, folic acid supplementation should be given during pregnancy. Because sulfonamides compete with bilirubin for binding to serum albumin, free bilirubin levels rise in the presence of sulfonamides. Therefore, neonates are at risk of hyperbilirubinemia, jaundice, and kernicterus when sulfonamides are administered to the mother near term (prior to birth, the fetus is able to dispose of bilirubin via the placental circulation). Sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine prophylaxis is contraindicated at term."
Cc soonest, thorpido and other sabi mamas. .. Thanks Malareich is safe as long as you do not react to sulfonamides. I prefer chloroquine however. |

hahn: To theists, especially Christians, it is always a competition. They compete among themselves, hence 33,000 denominations, and you can either be for or against.
The only time Christians unite is against atheists.
Since atheists do not believe in their god, we are most definitely in the opposition. They don't care about any other detail Of what relevance is the bolded and what competition are you talking about? Perhaps it's all in your mind. |
