i lost a cousin who was trying to prove to her inlaws dat she would push her baby n be a real woman.after they mocked her that her first baby was a c/s n she was not woman enof.imagine !someone with small pelvis n just had a c/s d year before.Hmmm.she died n her babies were raised in d orphanage n d strangest fact was that d SIL who was d chief advocate was pregnant then too n that pregnancy was her sixth.n she had that one thru c/s after 5 normal deliveries that made her a super woman.i still wonder she did not refuse d cs n be a super woman.rest in peace ND
so sad.She shouldn't have bothered trying to prove anything.

^^ Ok

Never heard of it in real life. Have you?
I have. There was an incident of a MIL who complained her DIL made her son waste money because she didn't try to have normal delivery. She sat beside me in the hospital and heard her make that comment toa friend.
I have also seen quite a no of pregnant women who refuse C/S though for reasons best known to them.

He's not your father(fathers shouldn't even be doing this at your age)and yet he wants that much control? This kind of guy will make you a housewife so he can have total control after marriage.

It's good you know what to do now.
Family › Re: Women Who Gave Birth Via CS (Caesarean Section) Are Now Being Shamed? by thorpido(m): 6:20pm On Apr 29, 2015
It's not just a nairaland story. There are people(women) in real life(especially the older generation) who make snide remarks about women who give birth via C/S.They often say they are lazy.
It's just ignorance that makes them say that.Do they understand why the C/S has to be done in the first place even though some are elective?
Some babies die(of distress)just because the mother won't have a C/S done or end up with birth injuries.

The most important thing is having a healthy baby and a mother who is alive.

Kudos 2u sir,u re really doing a great job here...Pls I'm having dis pain at my pubic bone wenever i sit or lie down 4 long n want 2 get up n walk d pain wil be very unconfortable n I wil ve 2 stand 4 few minutes b4 I can move my legs.Pls wat culd be d cause n wat can I do 2 stop it? I'm in my 29wks a ftm too...Sorry 4 d long post.
How long has the pain been and is it only when you sit or stay lying in one position for long that you feel it or it's there all the time?

At 29weeks, you are definitely in your third trimester and the weight of the baby will cause pain/discomfort in the pelvic region for most women coupled with the pressure in your lower back because of the protrusion.
What you need to do is to ensure you sit on a firm chair(not one that sinks in) everytime you sit and do not sit or lie in the same position for too long. You should also do light exercises for your back.

Romance › Re: Can Pregnant Women Go Swimming.? by thorpido(m): 8:56pm On Apr 25, 2015
Lol at baby breathing from the vagina.A child in the womb does not take in air through the vagina. The child gets its oxygen from the mother.

Yes a pregnant woman can swim. She needs to check with her doctor first to be sure her health is ok and when she swims, she should do it leisurely and not like someone competing. It's good exercise for the body.

Until people really see what goes on in private practice,it will seem as if doctors are heartless and not compassionate.
I'll advocate the bills before treatment but there should be a humane face to it.

injection pains ooooo
It's not written anywhere that the child received injections na.The child just has some delay and one should just rule out neurological issues.

Op,let her keep using the walker, she will eventually walk except she had some problems at birth that may have resulted into neurodevelopmental delays.even at that, she can still walk.
