na only she dem first born for London nihuh that is not even a yardstick at all. A woman/lady with a caustic mouth/behavior would only do more harm than good to her relationship. Reasons why MIL might not like her is not farfetched.
I don't mean everyone born in London must behave that way,it's just an expression that means being 'too westernized'.

What will she teach a 38 year old man Bikonu
My bad.I was actually thinking of her and not him.Well he's gotten to 38yrs so I don't think he needs to rush anything now.

Op,I don't think your mother-in-law to be is making a request that is absurd.Since you are Africans,it makes sense to have a traditional wedding on your soil. Moreover, she would want her people to attend. You say your father is yoruba and the guy you want to marry is yoruba too.You guys can get a hall somewhere in Lagos and have the traditional wedding done there.

I don't know why the youths on this thread think elderly people should not have sex.Don't they have hormones still flowing in them?As long as they can work it out, nothing stops them.

The circumstance in which this woman died is a different case entirely.

To those passing tribal comments...........kontinu

@gleatz,
I wouldn't say you should drop him now, give it some time.He is 38yrs as you said and at that age,he is very well matured. Many men of his age don't get on phones that frequently. His personality also matters. You have to teach him if he is willing to learn.
I also think he wants to settle down because of his age and needs a wife more than he needs a lover.

Just give it time and see if it gets better.

I bet it wasn't free of charge.

And I never meant autopsies aren't conducted in Nigeria atall, the question is what's the rate ? Many families would definately want to know but can they afford it coupled with funeral expenses??

Besides I would never trust them to perform a clinical Autopsy on my family in Nigeria. The one I witnessed was gory and an eyesore. And there's no tangible inferences in the end. Talk about adding salt to injury.

See this case studies:
You're right about the no being very small. Most families just want to bury their dead anyway.Coroner's autopsy is a small percentage and is done mostly in celebrated cases like the Arowolo case.
Autopsies are usually gory.I hail those pathologists.

Autopsy in Nigeria where Innocent people are scorned wrongfully?? You're reaching.

That husband is a goner !
Autopsy still works in Nigeria even though corruption messes up a lot of things.A colleague of mine witnessed the autopsy of the Arowolo lady that was murdered by her husband.

But it was stated that she comitted suicide while he slept...
Yea,an autopsy can show what led to the death- was it poisoning, strangulation etc.In advanced countries they even take fingerprints which can help to show if there was a struggle or not.
Family › Re: Please Help A Nairalanders Solve A Problem by thorpido(m): 4:54pm On Apr 15, 2015
The law........they could have done a proper investigation. An autopsy could have revealed to a great extent if it was a murder or suicide.

first, he is open to change. I don't know how to explain it, there are some stuffs you can't just teach, if u get what I mean. Being someone who's inexperienced in bedroom matter and thinking ur man has the experience only to be disappointed cos he is noy on top of his game
since he is open to change, then he can learn it and get better.YOU have to let him know what you want and try to show him.Make him also get sex education-there are books and videos that he can learn from.

@bolded,can u share some of those and some people could show you how to go about it.

The apartheid these south africans suffered really left a scar on them but rather than get an education and improve themselves, they turn their anger on other countries.
It's barbaric to treat fellow africans this way.

However, these boko haram guys do get their supplies when they need anything .ie they get ammunition and obviously feed themselves.

Oh,then I guess it must be part of it.You say you interact well with your classmates. What happens after class? You don't maintain friendship with them after school? You don't visit them?Do you stay on campus and do you stay alone?
Just open yourself more to friendships. You can make friends in other departments. How about campus fellowships?

What's missing in your life?You don't have a boyfriend?

On a more serious note, you need to identify what area bothers you.If you leave in Nigeria, there are many things to bother one. Most people want things better than it is for them now.
Just keep your head up and believe there's a better tomorrow.

LOLZ! D project is an investment biko, nt campin any1 @ home. Yea, extra money, bu ds investment is more imp trust me
The project is important but family too should be.What I would suggest is that you still take on your sister while at the same time pursue your project with whatever extra funds you have. It's not like your sister will be there for months?
Family › Re: I Said "NO" To My Parents!!! by thorpido(m): 6:14pm On Apr 13, 2015
What really is the project? You dey camp man for house?

There is a way to get along with parents except you choose to be rebellious.Parents usually have the best interest of their children even if they are not right about some things.
If you say you've got issues with your dad,how about your mum?You can't confide in her too?

I want to believe if your sister is sent to you, your parents should give you or her extra money to take care of her.
All in all,you refusing her raises suspicion.

She's not on self medication. All antibiotics were prescribed by their family doctor. I believe that of the husband too but I just a feeling she's living in denial over her hubby's promiscuity n I dont want to go addong more fuel into an inferno.
In this case, she should be well aware.Just give her hints on the need to look into her husband's affairs.

Family › Re: HELP! How Do I Tell My Sister Her Husband Gave Her STI? by thorpido(m): 1:04pm On Apr 13, 2015
s your sister on self-medication or was it a doctor that prescribed the antibiotics? If your sister is treating STI,then her husband ought to treat it too.If she knows her husband is treating an infection, then she should know how it came about.
Ask your sister about the infection she is treating and her husband's status? She should be wise enough to know what to do.You can just present the evidence as backup later.
