Good evening mamas in the house. Yesterday I went for antenatal for the first time, did all the test and scan, was also given an injection (very painful), fansidar and an unnamed routine drugs which I'm scared of.
This is the picture of the routine drug.
Pls make una tell me the name of this tab

First of all I think it's safer to ask the name at the hospital to be sure of what you are swallowing. Secondly, I think those tablets look like my calcium pills.
I could be wrong though but they look alike.

That being said, i dont av any idea on how both childbirth processes work and what effect they have on the body.

This question has passed through mind some few times when I start looking at my body. I know the hoohaa wideness goes back to normal after delivery because I have heard some women attest to it before but I am kinda sad about the breasts

breasts tend to fall and remain fallen after breastfeeding, and the areolas stay big and darker they don't go back to cute perky nipples. This one I have seen in women I was kind of close to.
That and stretch marks.

And another fun fact, the pelvic bones structure changes permanently for many women. And they get wider hips. The bones don't go back to normal.


Motherhood is really a big sacrifice sha.

wow, 34 weeks plus, really? Yours is good o. My bump is making me drag leg upandan the whole house because of how big it is and am also 34 weeks plus.

It's absolutely normal, but please understand that he is also human. Requesting that you call him back when you miss his call is simple etiquette . Funny enough, it's those small small things that didn't used to matter that irritate most. Try and explain to him how you feel when you know you are in a good mood so he doesn't get overwhelmed. What helped me was immediately thinking of something abstract, leaving the scene, knowing he didn't just start doing those thing but has been doing them, realizing that I'm the problem and not him. Hth. Pregnancy and em wahala, may God make it easy for us, Amen.

I know the call back request is very normal that was why I was surprised at myself.
Thanks, will try to explain all the funny behaviour when am in a better mood but I have a feeling he already knows because I was a very patient and sacrificing person before pregnancy and marriage now I just dey get power to charge and vexing for everybody. I nearly started quarreling with a man inside taxi the other day, maybe the bump was giving me power because I knew he will never fight a heavily pregnant woman back .

Pregnancy has different sides and this is one of the side dear.
I get irritated too like you, only way I response in with a very serious joke, and then he jokes back soon enough anger has disappear then we would be laughing... then I would say am not taking to you again, is it not you that ( say the offence) he would always offer to make amends and that would pass. Believe me sometimes I laugh when he says sorry because de mata no even get head sef.
However, don't be too hard on yourself, just know he would want to share in how you feel and would not want to inconvenience you in any way as he loves you.

There is nothing better than having someone that is patient to be honest. Lucky for you that's how your oga is. Imagine if an immature man is the one having to deal with unexplained anger. He will just overreact and start looking for revenge. Some more immature ones will even start cheating.
I know it will pass sha. I just need to up my patience and take things lightly.

I know of a lady that always shreds her Hubby's clothes right there at the gate! She will sit outside and await his return from work. The mans crimes was getting his wife pregnant it stops as soon as she puts to bed.

And was there any side effect? When I took the drug it actually reduced the pain but it made me feel weak and dizzy and I had mild shivers.

Is it normal to feel angry with your dh almost on a regular basis when pregnant ? Because that's how I feel since the past three or two months. The thing has a pattern. I will be angry with him today then in a good mood tomorrow then angry next tomorrow and so on.
My annoyance doesn't even have any serious reason, I just find little things that he does and get soooo pissed off over them. This afternoon we had a small misunderstanding about my missing his calls when he tried to call me and I reacted so angrily as I usually do when this strange pregnancy anger visits. The issue was not even that serious, he just mentioned that I should return his calls if I miss them and I got so unnecessarily pissed again. He went out and came back with Fanta and meatpie just to douse tension

but the anger mood swings no gree leave me, I kept acting like a jerk after that. Now he has left the house completely for me

I know he will be back sha, we always settle these things in the end but am tired of the constant unexplainable anger. I just go from calm to very very angry in a short while over little things. If I wasnt married to such a patient person things would have gotten so bad and many hurtful word would be exchanged.

I was having severe pains in my pelvic region and the doctor told me it's preterm labour symptoms so he gave me the salbutamiol to prevent premature birth

What state did you do it? Is it Abuja?

MY BIRTH STORY
I had my princess last year November after TTC for almost 2 years. I couldn't go with other method of family planning other than the use of CD and besides I was on exclusive breast feeding so I never thought I could be pregnant.

It was a great battle won by God. I was miraculously rescued from destruction.
My Prince and myself doing great to the glory of God.
It shall ended in praise for all waddling mama. There shall be no loss.

mummy soonest and others mamas should pls help me out on this drug-salbutamol(i Hope i got the spelling right). i complained of abdominal pain and an uncomfortable bracton hicks which made the Dr to give me the drugs. according to her,she said let baby develop well before finding its way out. how safe is the drug pls?

I took salbutamol and so far so good everything is going well.

Babe I used mint leaves +ginger+ lemon soaked in water to get back in shape. It works magic

I heard this combo is not too good for new borns if it filters into breastmilk.

I feel what I think is hiccup atimes, but I don't feel it from where the head is.
Baby is head down already and it doesn't come from that region

Babies move and change position so maybe position of head is changing, it could actually be hiccups, how long does it last?

How do you even know where the head is (apart from scan). Sorry for my many questions

Scan is the surest way to know though, I used scan that I did some time ago plus there are times I think I can feel certain parts with my hand if I touch my tummy. I think I felt his bumbum one day on the same level as ribs so I assumed d head is downwards in pelvic area.

If your belly is trim and you are a slim person you can also see the regular hiccup movement from your stomach. That's another way to know.

My baby gets it too. At first i was worried but when i read that it is nature's way of helping him develop his lungs i was excited. But anytime he gets it i cant help but drink water on his behalf

I feel you on the drinking water part, I just feel sorry for him when he is hiccuping
I assume he is in some kind of discomfort and I want to do something to help

wow hiccups in the womb.. are u really serious? How do u know its hiccups? How do you feel like? Please describe the feeling

It feels like regular small kicks in the part where the head is but not as strong as actual kicks, coming and going at intervals of like, 2 secs. You have to be very calm and quiet to notice it. It can be continuous for upto two minutes straight.

i read that the hiccups are normal, that its the baby practicing to use their lungs and breath on their own

Yeah I read it too. I also read that it could be related to issues of the umbilical cord wrapping itself in uncomfortable positions around the baby but I really hope that's not the case.
