Hi everyone. Hope youre all doing great.
These days I always feel moody and detached. Not really sad, just a low kind of mood even when nothing bad happened. I sleep so much and have lesser enthusiasm than before.
I just pity DH cos am dampening his mood anyhow with my smehsmeh behaviour. I really hope this thing alleviates itself soon.

First time pregnant, due March... have been having nausea, vomiting and spitting every 5 seconds... I am so tired of this and I also work 12 hours shift, pls any recommendations for my morning sickness will help.

First of all congrats and welcome. Honestly women are trying. Ever since I took in I have this profound sympathy for working women who are pregnant. Coping with pregnancy sickness and work stress and maybe kids at home who are hyperactive and energy draining. Women are really trying regardless what some people say about them being weaker sex.
When I was in my first few weeks I also had that extreme tiredness and nausea and bad taste that always has you spitting. Ask your doctor for anti vomitting drug, (I was given Avomine), eat energy rich foods and take it easy with work. Dont do more than you think you are capable of. Lick minty sweets to rid your mouth of bad tastes. Take heart, It will all end in 2nd trimester.

Mama's during the last ANC I weighed 75 at 26 weeks. Is d weight OK or too much? Also was advised by someone to stop taking Milo instead I should take Lipton so that baby won't be big to come out. Please your views are welcomed

In my antenatal class they told us that baby's size is determined by parents size ie if you and hubby are huge then LO is likely to be big, and vice versa. Also about lipton they said don't take too much cos your foetus cannot process the nicotine in it and that nicotine affects foetus brains.

By the way who came up with the term 'morning sickness'?
Something that lasts all day morning till evening that they are calling morning sickness.

I don't know how true o considering Kim could hv been paid to drop those comment. But no knowledge is a waste

I remember the thalidomide disasters of some years back. Women who were taking thalidomide pills to alleviate morning sickness ended up birthing deformed babies because of the drug. Its better to be patient and ride it out. Morning sickness is manageable and almost dissapears in 2nd trimester.

Honestly if I could raise my kids outside Nigeria in a better country I would do so.

That means that side is a real hotcake. Before 7am and already 80, chai. Bwari gh was not crowded, I dunno if its like that every time or I was just lucky that day. Infact I had no idea I was supposed to go very early.

Wow, I also use Bwari gh. I registered just last wk and they gave me appointment on August. I was super late that day sha. I got there 9:30 and was number 47, the very last number. Naim I come dey waka up and down dey ask question like JJC.

If i show u d quantity of food i eat, you will shout(very tiny),but i eat compared wt before. No matter how small at least every 2hrs i eat something. Try adopt d 2hrs interval method it helps no matter how small

How many weeks are you so far? Its like I will try the 2hr thing because whenever I try to eat a lot at once I get a strong urge to vomit.

thanks you're a real treasure. I read online that appetite usually returns with a vengeance in 2nd trimester so i was getting a bit worried when my own appetite didn't return with a vengeance.

Good to know everything is alright. I'll force myself to eat for now.

Hello house, been following this thread for a long time now and I find it greatly educative.
Please I need advice from experts. I am 15wks pregnant and for some days now I have been lacking appetite. Morning sickness is greatly reduced and nausea is greatly reduced but appetite is barely there. I drink water a lot though. I have increased appetite for water.
Is this normal? should I be worried?

Hello all, since nzu is bad for bitter tasting mouth, can i use vicks blue sweet? I get headaches from chewing gum.

The issues are deeper then the milk, I believe. For all you know, the couple are also struggling.
