Hassan Tukur was Principal Secretary to the immediate past President, Goodluck Jonathan "Tukur, was able to influence many decisions of the administration including recommending key appointees to Jonathan. The personalities reportedly recommended are: 1. Professor Attahiru Jega (INEC Chairman): It was gathered that Tukur single handedly recommended Jega to Jonathan before the former Vice Chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) was appointed. 2. Alhaji Adamu Mua'zu: Tukur was also said to be behind the support of the immediate past national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) got from the presidency during his quest to emerge as the party's head. 3. Retired IGP Suleiman Abba: Abba's appointment is also as a result of Tukur's recommendation. He is said to have experience in security matters, so it was easy for him to convince Jonathan about Abba's competence. One major role Tukur also played in the Jonathan's administration is his involvement in the negotiations for the release of the abducted Chibok girls. Being a "son of the soil", and his vast connections in the north, he was the arrow-head behind the negotiations towards ensuring the girls were brought back alive. One source told Nigerian Pilot that he worked hand-in-hand with the President of Chad, Idriss Derby, on talks with the Boko Haram sect to ensure the release of the girls before the attempt collapsed." The point of all this in my opinion is to clarify WHO DID NOT facilitate PYO's nomination to the office of the VP seeing that he will be P soon. |

The Kogi government has said it is owing some of its workers a maximum of twelve months salaries and not fifteen as alleged by labour unions in the state. Edward Onoja, the Chief of Staff to Governor Yahaya Bello, who said this on Monday during a phone interview said those being owed were on the “uncleared list”. He said this while speaking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television breakfast show. Onoja said, “Recall that the state government embarked on a staff verification exercise effective February 24, 2016, and in that exercise staffers were categorised into cleared and uncleared, cleared means those who had no issues, whose documents and employment records are straight and correct, all those persons have received their salaries up until March 2017, inclusive of arrears owed them even from the past administration. “There are other persons who were on the uncleared category as at the report in December 2016. His Excellency based on resolve by all stakeholders in Kogi state to give a final appeal chance for them, set up an appeal committee that rounded up their requisite just last week and more people have now been migrated from the uncleared list to the cleared list, nearly 60 percent of those that were in December classified as uncleared. Just yesterday as a prelude to the May Day celebration, His Excellency also granted clemency to those who actually had violated the civil service rule and who were supposed to be dismissed and because of his compassion to ensure that he gives people more room, he pardoned about eleven infractions.” When asked how many month salaries those moved from the uncleared to cleared list were owed, Onoja said, “Nobody is being owed fifteen months, maximum will be twelve months. Fifteen months is falsehood and I can defend that anyway.” http://leaders.ng/kogi-gov-bello-owing-12-months-salary-chief-staff/

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari “is fit enough” to stand for re-election despite his ailing health and limited activities, the country’s transport minister has said. The Guardian reports that Rotimi Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers State, one of the oil-rich states in the Niger Delta and currently of the two so-called super ministers in Buhari’s cabinet, believed the president’s infirmity was not serious enough to preclude him from putting in one more term. “If you look at the president since he came to the country, you will see there is a huge improvement,” Amaechi, who was the director-general of Buhari’s campaign said on Channels Television’s Hard Copy. “He’s regaining his weight. This is a 74-year old man, he is no longer a 58-old man, he is not 50…he is not a young man.” Buhari left Nigeria on January 19 for London to “undergo routine medical check-ups” during a short holiday. He only returned on March 10 after an extended period of medical treatment. He also hinted at the possibility of him going back for more treatment. But what Nigerians should be more worried about, Amaechi said, is his ability [or lack thereof] to provide good leadership and deliver on the campaign promises he made, which were just three, according to the former Rivers governor. “He made three [campaign promises]. The rest are propagandas, social media propagandas,” he said. When asked if he would support Buhari if he stands for re-election in 2019, Amaechi replied in affirmative. “I will advise that he should,” he said. “The president is fit enough to govern and if he makes the decision to run again, if he does, I don’t think there is anything wrong in supporting him.” Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai recently expressed similar sentiments. But in spite of Amaechi’s vote of confidence in Buhari’s health, there are still questions to be answered. Shortly after his return from London on March, Buhari acknowledged he was terribly sick but did not disclose the true nature of his ailment. “I couldn’t recall being so sick since I was a young man,” he said at a meeting with security chiefs and ministers. He also confessed to receiving “blood transfusions” and “going to the laboratories and so on and so forth”. He has also been absent from the last couple of Federal Executive Council meetings usually held at the presidential villa, leaving Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to chair those meetings. The President was also missing the Juma’at prayer at Aso Villa mosque last Friday. But the presidency insisted that there was no reason for Nigerians to panic. It said Buhari scale down his activities at the Nigerian seat of power on doctors’ advice. “As eager as he is to be up and about, the President’s doctors have advised on his taking things slowly, as he fully recovers from the long period of treatment in the United Kingdom some weeks ago,” Buhari’s media aide Garbage Shehu said. His absence at the last FEC meeting was a last minute decision, he said without stating what informed the decision. http://www.thetrentonline.com/amaechi-buhari-2019-relections/

These people's rebuttals just get worse and worse |
Lagbaja says no be by force na by sense a revolution may consume the unintended, it may consume us all |
thesicilian:That was the reasoning from up country, quite realistic I might add. These guys weren't taking any chances so while they are grateful for Teslim Balogun they put a damper on BAT's ambition, which by the way would have been a HUGE risk. Who do you think would have been acting president or president soon? (I'm not saying PMB will go oh! He may have to resign). Fashola was compensated with super Minister. Unfortunately, that's not working too well cos then he would have transitted naturaly to VP in 2019. Anyway, all this is beside the key issue! What do you intend to do? |
Some still believe BAT nominated PYO This was to have been BAT's coup de grace! VP to a wilting President. Everything fell into line, GEJ's incompetence & political naivete was legendary, everyone hated him enough to want him out (him ma help dem - 'I don't give a damn/Ministry of Interior desths/Diezani/Oduah). But Saraki & Co stepped in to truncate that plan! After all the gymnastics at Teslim Balogun and then this same fellow had the temerity to aspire to the very important & strategic no 3 spot! None of these was to redeem Nigeria from its woes or corruption. All about ambition, all about power and power sharing! 2015 for most astute politicians was about 2019, Buhari is/was a necessary pathway to 2019. These guys have been working and are still working to achieve their singular ambitions (while you're reading this post) using me and you as fodder. When will you take charge of your future? When will YOU take charge of the future of this country? |
Can we discuss this now? |

No 1 imho is due to incompetent rewire mechanics (or diy gone wrong) The government can fix this via a deliberate program to train and retrain and certify automobile electrics technicians |
Nigerian Youths outsourced their activism to other Youths |
Don't worry, e be like say dis pipu don already get excel sheet of excuses for now to 2019! [in addition] IMHO Buhari was brought back so PYO can't continue in acting capacity. Make you know say dem no even wan salvage dia cluelessness. |
