DontBullshitMe:It's sad. Only an insider from the military can reveal the evidence now, if no one else among the protesters have any recorded evidence. |
britiko:Is that what you will say in court when trying to get justice for the dead? That the defense who are interrogating an allegation should keep quiet for demanding evidence of allegation? You think a court argument is an emotional jamboree? You remind me of the type of lawyers who use their own incompetence to scuttle the case of their clients, only to utter that they are sorry when the case has been lost. |
OK! But show us the evidence, else we cannot get any justice. Were pictures not taken of the dead, besides the one that was later revealed to be acting by some Christian youth corps? You who did the counting, show the evidence to the ICC, who are already eager to pounce on the case. We the objective and rational minds want evidence to work with, else we settle for the information from the Lagos State government that 2 people who were part of the injured later died. But the 2 deaths are certainly on Buhari's command and the Army's discharge of bullets into the crowd. No be today the army and police don dey secretly hide body, so we know that is a possibility. But you wey count 15 dead bodies and you know record am despite being video live, then you self fall hands. |
These ones are thieves, not protesters. |
Omoluabi16:Abeg help me ask the confused soul ooo. Has Aisha held any public office in Nigeria, that her kids must suffer the failure caused by the political class whose children are all enjoying life outside the shores of Nigeria? |
ignis:We have all been invited to follow up with the court cases up till their logical conclusion. What else do you want? Instant death without prosecution? |
"On approving the termination of SARS, I already made it clear that it was in line with our commitment to the implementation of extensive Police reforms."This useless Buhari wants us to commend him for his prompt termination of SARS in 2020 due to the unrelenting protest of Nigerians? What about terminating it in 2017 when Osinbajo tried to reform the unit while Buhari was on his sick bed in the UK? What about terminating SARS in 2018 or 2019? What about implementing the reforms report that had been piling up dust on his desk? If SARS had shot Yusuf Buhari in December 2017, for being a jobless lazy youth who was riding a bike worth $157k (N70.65m at $1/N450), would this useless Buhari had waited till this 2020 protest to terminate the nuisance called SARS, and insult us with his snail speed promptness? This man does not value human life. |
How can he say he acted promptly when his hand was forced by the protests, yet he long had a report pending on his desk to act upon concerning police reforms? Buhari truly hold no value for human life. |
You mean that thing that addressed us will be in power till 2023? Mogbe ooo! |
Buhari has made it difficult for any old man to be elected in Nigeria. This man believes by being voted as President, he has by that singular achievement solved all of Nigeria's problem. I just lost some of my intelligence listening to this charade. |
lymelyte:Why is he an idiot? Can't you see the actual timelines of when the items were received on 22nd September 2020, and how distribution was ongoing as at 1st October up till 3rd October from the tweets released? That we are angry doesn't mean we should lose our rational and objective minds. The state government is not complaining that the masses got the food meant for them. They are only clearing the false notion that the items had been in the warehouse while Lagosians were hungry during the April - May 2020 lockdown. Try and be rational. |
homosapien:Once a mob has set out to inflict carnage, you cannot halt their progress midway. The educated illiterate mob are the monsters that the failed government made. |
Very reasonable explanation with evidence to back it up from the state government. The good thing from the burgling is that middlemen associations and state government officials who would have shamelessly succeeded in siphoning some of the items, have been sidelined with the items directly retrieved by a mob of the most needy masses. So case closed, objective accomplished. |
Johnny come lately. Very useless entity. Just to succeed and kill kwarruption before it kills Naijireya, he is still grasping at straws for 5yrs. Has he investigated the corruption that deprived the Aso Rock clinic of drugs despite the huge budget? Is bail free at any police station in Nigeria, despite being the law? How can someone just sit his useless self in Aso Rock and assume corruption will just disappear because he is chasing after PDP politicians that actually embezzled funds? No monitoring team, no internal affairs unit to ensure that corruption is rooted out of the federal government and federal service. No plan whatsoever. |
Day by day we see evidence that the Nigeria police force is the greatest nuisance to the democratic rights of Nigerians. |
Let him go and never come back. Nigeria has always been a farmland to be exploited by our political class, who are citizens of other countries. I ask you, did Seyi Tinubu's wife put to bed in Nigeria? Do Atiku's children put to bed in Nigeria? Will Buhari's younger children put to bed in Nigeria? Did Tinubu's son or daughter attend LASU or UniLag? Did Atiku's children school in Nigeria? Is Buhari being treated at the Aso Rock clinic? We have to get rid of those who have another choice except Nigeria. Nigeria can only be developed by those who are involved in Nigeria, and whose economic and physical survival depend on what Nigeria has offered to all without prejudice. Lastly, the resolute Nigerians in UK must give Seyi Tinubu a well deserved memorable welcome. He must not be allowed to enjoy what APC did not provide for Nigerians in their own country. Let the cameras be rolling. |
I love that he is running and jumping a gate to safety. It shows that he is feeling the heat. It shows that he understands that life is precious. The question is will he be a better police officer if he survives this, or return to being a useless law breaking officer that the whole rank and file of the police force are trained to be? |
That's not him. |
dadavivo:How did Ambode get to power before? And did he not lose a direct primary where all party members were eligible to vote? Does it mean Ambode cannot win a primary without the support of a Godfather? |
If the free police bail policy that was always law is not in effect at every police station when the dust settles, then we did not instill enough fear into our oppressors, and the government did not learn anything. If every police station continue to operate a checkpoint on the road outside of the station, and continue to extort commercial motorists and cargo carrying vehicles, then the IG of Police still does not know how to solve the problem of his force and must resign. If Osinbajo with his legal background cannot influence his own government to effect prompt legal reforms that govern the activities of the police, the state/federal prosecution, and the judiciary as regards the rights of an accused to immediate administrative bail or court charge, then he is no more useful than the useless Buhari. |
IgbalodeRaymond:I repeat that there is no incitement in what has been translated. A call to reject protests and rioting, even when we all know the aim is for the benefit of every Nigerian, cannot be called incitement. If his appeal is incitement, what then do we term a call to protest and destroy the vestiges of our collective assault and rights infringement which I also approve of? We might not like the guy, but we should not persecute him. |
Blackking98:Has the average Northerner ever had an opinion in contrast to the opinion of the Sultanate in Sokoto? How many times have we seen that the shackles of Islam is fully embraced by the poor, but enforced by a Pharisaic upper class who lead a liberal life? |
I don't see any incitement in what has been translated. He holds his own view which is actually the prevalent view in the North. They enjoy the Nigerian structure you want reformed, as such they are not interested in any protest whose end result is falsely thought not to favour them. He has only called for the North to remain united, both Muslim and Christian, and declared he has also gone to court. So I see no incitement at all, rather a sectarian plea borne out of fear that they would be the biggest losers in a restructured Nigeria. |
luvmijeje:Do you enjoy police brutality? Do you enjoy the indiscriminate arrest of Nigerians by police who then insist that a bail of N5k or 10K or N20k must be paid before release that ought to be automatic if there is no case to be pursued? Do you enjoy the needless harassment of law abiding citizens by our security forces? Do you consider yourself a bloody civilian who must frog jump because a mere military cadet wills it so? |
Our police stations have become symbols of oppression for both the criminal minded and the law abiding citizen. No Keke Napep or Okada rider loves any interaction with the police station. You would find 3 or more of such keke or Okada impounded at most police stations, waiting for a bribe to be paid. I interpreted what the patriotic youths did as going to that police station to freely bail the accused there who have not been charged to court, hence their presence in a police cell, as opposed to being remanded in a prison while trial is ongoing. No one arrested can be held in police custody for more than 24hrs except over a weekend. How many of those who have now been freely bailed by the patriots have been held in police custody for weeks without a court charge or a police discharge or a free bail effected by an adult citizen, while the political class continues to tarry over judicial reforms that ought to be hastened? Police bail is free in Nigeria, and any police station that refuses to adhere to that law, has become a lawless entity within a lawful Nigeria. Such lawless entity must never be allowed to remain. Tear down those gates of oppression all over the country. Those who have been freed by the patriots should now proceed to sue the police and the government for wrongful incarceration and kidnapping. |
Has Seyi Makinde already ensured that no one is paying for police bill at all the Police stations in Oyo State? Has he equipped the state prosecution under his control to prosecute any police man found needlessly arresting and extorting Nigerians to pay for bail? Effect change in your state before a mob will one day force you to apologize for being useless. |
Even Kanu won't be stupid to make this statement knowing he resides in a country where there is law and order. If anything happens to Ikpeazu in that village, this command would serve as evidence, and even his British citizenship will not save him from extradition to Nigeria for trial. |
This is how redistribution of income should be effected. |
BluntTheApostle:Even Buhari suffered police brutality as ANPP presidential candidate while protesting the election result of 2003. Yet, he got to power on the power of protests, and forgot his own brutality, rather he approved the brutality of others. Was the police he observed while campaigning perfect in its discharge of duty? Yet despite recommendations on SARS reforms and by extension police reforms, he was utterly useless and made no change. Let the old and useless Nigeria fall on his useless self. |
MagicBishop:For once, I agree with your line of thought. Your response is very muric. |
Broda Muri is still waiting for go ahead from the Sultan of Sokoto. |
