donprinyo:Yet such people employed an unprofessional fellow who is now lamenting about her own inadequacy on the job. |
When did walking out on a live TV program for whatever reason, become a professional conduct to be celebrated? It simply means she was in the wrong profession if she could not stomach the discussions she had to moderate. Someone acted unprofessionally, and is now being emotional and sentimental about her own inadequacy on the job. |
Miracle2020:SLAP44, what do you have to say about the above facts posited? At least we all should remember Police Commissioner Mbu and how he terrorized an elected governor Rotimi Amaechi on the orders of a federal minister Wike and hero of democracy President Jonathan. Did Wike not remember he was striving to become a state governor who would also be at the mercy of the dictates or failure of the federal power players and their Police tools of destructive politics? All the personalities I have mentioned above are all Southerners wrecking havoc in the South. |
I concur. |
APC was voted into power to change Nigeria and prevent the anarchy we were heading to. Instead, the politicians got into power and continued on the same road to anarchy. Very salient questions being asked, so I will also ask my own. Is the Police IG aware that bail is not free at every police station in Nigeria? Is the Police IG aware that every police station has a checkpoint on the road collecting N50 from every commercial transport driver that drives past, while demanding higher from vehicles with incomplete particulars? Is the police IG aware that the Police Force is a Farce? Is the government of Buhari alive to its responsibilities and promise of change? |
Wow! I love this revolution. This act has never happened before in my Nigerian lifetime. Oppression, Extortion, and Tyranny must stop in Nigeria. |
sagitariusbaby:I am sure the person who made the comment above is a Nigerian youth who is planing to relocate abroad to a "sane" society, yet he contributes to the insanity of his own natural habitat. |
I'm surprised Anambra youths have not besieged that SARS office and effected a mob arrest of the criminals there posing as lawful police. With what has been reported about that place, a lot of arrests and prosecution should proceed from the dissolution of the criminal gang. |
They always visit him as though he is Buhari's unofficial mouthpiece to the international community. No one can fault Tinubu for his international contacts, despite not being an ex President of Nigeria like Obasanjo. |
Talk is indeed cheap, but if I find myself in such a situation, I will direct the errant policeman to update his outdated operating system. Also, is police bail now truly free as falsely claimed for decades? |
yungsmart:Is bail now truly free at the police stations? Are the checkpoints outside every police station in Nigeria not still collecting N50 from commercial drivers, and more money from cargo conveying vehicles? We has ended SARS, it is now time to demand an end to police tyranny. Then we will move to the uselessness of our political leadership and government. |
Rahkman:Walahi that book was a good read. Fighting to the death to win a woman. |
Sad loss. One of the Nigerian literary quartet that Wole Soyinka referred to. Now only Soyinka is left behind. Christopher Okigbo is gone. Chinua Achebe is gone. JP Clark is gone. |
This is where the investigation of abuse should start. His name must get to the Police IG, and must face his past deeds even if retired now. The OP should tag the many different TV stations covering the protests, tag the useless president and police IG. Frank Mba should also be tagged. The question really is why did we as a nation wait this long to tackle this matter? Even those in power and the elites also have complaints of past interaction with SARS and police brutality, yet we only whispered it? |
Tyranny is everywhere, extortion is the primary means of cashflow in Nigeria. How can a country's economy be built on everything illegal? |
ugofulfilled:You can imagine the corrupt mentality of the typical Nigerian. Trust me, that fellow is also in his own paid job but extorting those who have to patronize his firm or government agency. |
I totally agree with the OP, and shame on those who are defending corruption, claiming Police also need to eat. Many are in their respective offices extorting Nigerians also. |
Lazy human being. Must the whole world go mad before those in power establish some sanity? How many ought to die before the nuisance of the Police is addressed? |
When will bail be free? End SARS and reform the police force. |
If PDP is losing then Democracy must be under threat. Or isn't that the principle? I wonder what the perennial loser Johnnyessence would hold on to as consolation when the full result is released? |
Kriss216:You know the full report yet you intensionally decide to lose your memory over an information that does not suit your propaganda. Among the countries targeted in the new policy are those on the US “State sponsor of terrorism list” and students from countries that visitors have overstay rate of more than 10 percent. |
Garbage journalism. He has not stolen public funds or embezzled depositor funds to cater to a lifestyle he has merited. |
manuelreports:What does Nigeria have to show for anything that you single out a former capital city when the current capital city is nowhere near Lagos? Why are you waiting for Lagos before turning your own state to the pride of Africa with something to show? |
solmus:Did they get compensated or they are still challenging the forceful seizure? Is the late Chief Adebayo Adeleke related to Davido Adelekes? |
Where are those anarchists who were always asking about Osinbajo and claiming Yorubas have abandoned their son who was being held captive or likely dead? Where are those picture analyst to come tell us how this is an impostor pretending to be Osinbajo? All of them will be alright eventually when they are finally rehabilitated. See the likes of them below. Kriss216:I reckon if Osinbajo had traveled to UK or USA, it would be an errand within your comprehension? You only fool yourself. |
nony43:You conveniently forgot the Igbo workers too. Or are the Igbo workers of Shell from Anambra or IMO also indigenes of Rumubiakani? Are all tribe of workers not working all over the SouthWest and North in many private multinational establishments? |
So a mumu can still be rehabilitated when he witnesses the fall of a better man. A good looking well built fellow with not strength member in his body. He ought to have been the one being pursued by even that material girl. He comes across as the type of guy who sheds tears while having sex, and says "thankyou" after the consensual pleasure. |
At no point did I read that the culprit was duly arrested and arraigned in accordance with the criminal statute that covers prosecution of minors. |
Until there is a true revolution in Nigeria and we have a leadership who feel the same pain as the average Joe, we will continue to have this decadence in every aspect of our infrastructure. Even the state commissioners do not have children enrolled in public schools at any level, while they school abroad at the tertiary level. Which political office holder is a patient at any public hospital? Do they go through the police harassment and brutality the average Nigerian has to survive daily? Only the political class and their business cronies are the citizens of Nigeria, while all others are victims of Nigeria who must do the bidden of the citizens and suffer for the failures of the citizens. We need to stop voting those with fancy ideas, and start voting those who are involved. "Because I am involved", was what spurred Ojukwu to fight for the secession of his people from a Nigeria that then through the pogrom offered only massacre as a citizenship right, as opposed to security and right to life. Are our political leaders involved in Nigeria when they hold dual citizenship and their children and grandchildren are deliberately being born outside Nigeria? Can you ever care about a country that is not truly your home but a mine or farmland whence your repatriate resources and wealth to another country where you and your family have citizenship and truly consider as home? I care about Nigeria because I am involved. I see that it is useless and needs a rebirth, while "inglorious basterds" see no problem with a Nigeria that continues to fund their family lifestyles in other countries where they hold citizenship rights. I believe soon the Nigerian masses will transition from being victims of Nigeria to become citizens of Nigeria. For that to happen, we must get rid of the current citizens of Nigeria and establish the true citizenship for all. |
Is it Fulani or Yoruba running the University? Yet, some will claim they are naturally better administrators who could have made Nigeria better, as though they have made their states better and distinctive from the rest of the failed Nigeria. The Supreme Court recently liberated their women to enjoy the rights that other women have been enjoying in Nigeria. We are all useless as a people and a nation. |
This is garbage journalism. Very unprofessional. |
