Fyno:So Nigerians are deserving of the laws and Police force they have to live with, while Senators like Dino who make the laws and already enjoy courtesies not extended to you, are not deserving of the same police and consequences of breaking the law? What is vibrant about a senator who has never stood on the side of justice, anti-corruption, freedom of expression within the parliamentary chambers, and the right of senators to chose their own leaders at the inception of this current senate? A criminal element known to have made false claims to non-existent academic achievements. An enemy of democracy who saw to it that just like he suffered in the hands of the house leadership while as an honourable who refused to conform to the dictates of the leadership , he too would deal with nonconformists in the Senate where he now happens to be part of the leadership who would brook no dissenting opinion or arguments. I have no reason to berate the police for ensuring a criminal suspect who is trying so hard to evade justice because of his political status, is brought crawling at the table of justice. |
Fyno:I was not there too. Kindly tell me where you witnessed the president order the police to humiliate a senator the same way the police has been humiliating law abiding Nigerians, talkless of a criminally accused senator who wanted to commit suicide rather than face the same law that they make for Nigerians when in the Parliament? |
CSTR1003:Stop looking for gratitude for voting Obasanjo when Yorubas themselves voted Falae. You had a choice of only 2 Yoruba men, such that whatever your vote, a Yoruba man would still have been president. You are responsible for saddling the nation with a militarised democracy by that singular mistake of voting Obasanjo. Obasanjo was the choice of Igbos and the North, re-echoing the Igbo-North alliance I already stated. There was a time Yoruba parents also forbid such unions, and it is no longer the case, so why the glory seeking? I do not care if hate comes back in the form of forbidding intertribal marriages. It is the Igbos who continue to make an issue of that, even on this forum, as though they are currently doing the world a favour by tolerating intertribal marriages. |
Nossa:You seem not to realise that a lot of well educated folks already have investments in Agriculture. If I wasn't bothered about the plague in government, I would have been supporting his return, like some are doing now, which is reminiscent of those who wanted a previous failure to return. Those type of people who are partisan for party, tribal and religious reasons are the ones who cannot own up to the fact that a failure has no business with a 2nd term. The hypocrites are the ones who cannot see that the re-electionists of today, only mirror the same insane partisanship they exhibited as re-electionists of 2015. So that they are aghast that some would want to continue with the failure of Buhari instead of trying something else, is how we who sacked Jonathan were aghast that some would want him to return in 2015 instead if trying something else. And for the record, Moughalu is better fit to run government than Sowore, who despite his zeal, could end up creating more problems than solving the present ones, a la Buhari and his method of prosecuting corruption cases. |
CSTR1003:Did you have a choice when both candidates were Yorubas? Why not ignore the truth, than trying to deny it with constant that could not be varied. I reckon 2 left legged men from Igboland don't marry Yoruba women? I also reckon that Yorubamen leave their homes to look for Igbo women resident in your enclave and not the ones who have abandoned their enclave to reside amongst those they consider traitors? Whoever people choose to marry is ultimately up to them alone. |
Yar'Adua gave Jonathan a chance to be vice-president, and eventually President. Yar'Adua will be remembered as Jonathan's boss. Yar'Adua and Jonathan belonged to the same party. None of the above applies to Buhari. When you have seen where Buhari eulogized any previous president in this current democracy, then you can begin to draw conjectures. |
Nossa:Buhari is failure as with the previous idiot that was sacked and shown the way out. But that I am hit at all would have been the consequences of having a moro.n in power at a time when we should have made better choices with the revenue generated when oil income was at its highest under the ineffectual buffoon who managed not to add a single kobo to national savings or a single cent to foreign reserves while swallowing up previous savings and increasing our debt. That I am in hardship now while living in a serviced flat in a highbrow neighborhood, is a prayer many will pray to be answered. Yet I do not care about myself, but for the benefit of a country that many have seen as just a place to be exploited for the benefit of their comfortable lives outside the country. |
This is an ageless thief. |
Nossa:I could find sleep knowing this is another easy victim of ignorance to be rescued from obscurity by the shining light of knowledge and enlightenment. Anytime you want to repeat the same falacy, you will remember your hypocrisy and how your tribe always voted pro-North rather than pro-South. You will remember that you are already known to always fidget at any attempt by other southerners to form alliances with the North, except when they are formed by you. I am not responsible for your hypocrisy and self defeat. If only you can outgrow the tribal limitation and mental shackles your ancestors bequeathed you with. A Yoruba man simple aspires and hopes to accomplish, while an Igbo man must first consider what a Yoruba or Fulani would think of him and his ambitions. A very good reference being the self-defeat exhibited in your own post. A write-up by a Yoruba woman to promote an Igbo man seeking to be president, is already despaired by a Igbo suffering from low self esteem and defeatism. That you have been shut up by historical facts and statistics, is a gesture I would always be happy to oblige you. If only you can erase history. If only. You Igbos have been well recompensed for your treachery, that there is no need to even belabour that matter. |
Who ever expected that a whole demonic PDP of the do or die election infamy will one day write a petition to the UN over elections in Nigeria. The same PDP is now enlightened to realise that these same outright electoral crimes that it perfected as its legacy, is not acceptable from the receiving position? Any Nigerian that ever forgets the PDP legacy of electoral violence in Nigeria, deliberate shortage of voting materials at the opposition strongholds, substitution of party primary winner, collusion with corrupt INEC chairmen (especially Maurice Iwu), refusal to register new parties, the only party that never wanted the electronic accreditation of voters, that Nigerian deserves to be permanently denied visa outside Nigeria. |
Nossa:There is no frustration in identifying hypocrites. I do it with relish, much to their frustration at being publicly unravelled. I heard my region being mentioned by the typical sufferers of persecution/victim complex, already admitting defeat and inferiority that has become inherent and pathological. History becomes doctored only when it shows you to be a hypocrite? Your conscience will always find an excuse when pricked by historical fact and electoral statistics that you wish could be forgotten. If you like argue with the past, but it cannot be wished away, and will always be referenced to expose your deceit and hypocrisy of condemning that which you set precedence for. |
Nossa:Frustrated clansmen like you are a plague to the aspirations of your fellow Igbomen who do not suffer the same disease as you. There are many overqualified Nigerians across the different tribes of the country. Any overqualified Nigerian that dares to present himself/herself as a flag bearer of PDP or APC, has already shown himself not qualified to take Nigeria away from the doldrums. My conscience and history reminds me that Igbo's have always preferred to vote in support of the North and their ambitions, than to vote in support of a Southern ambition that does not have them at the head of the table. Even a Southern aspiration in 1960 that would have had an Igbo as Prime Minister, was disregarded by Azikiwe, to settle for the role of president in an alliance with the North. Tofa was voted over Abiola by SouthEasterners in the June 12 1993 elections. The day an Igboman is ready to overcome the pathological hatred he has for any tribe not Igbo, the rest of Nigeria will consider the Igbo ready to lead a multiethnic nation. For now, continue to throw your typical insults and invectives at the rest of Nigeria while expecting love in return. |
devindevin2000:So it is now 4million Biafrans? By next year the statistics would have been revised to 6million Biafrans that died from the initial 1million. Ojukwu remained well fed, while he starved his own people as a propaganda tool to win a war that would ultimately end in unconditional surrender for his hateful people. |
Once a bible believing church accepts gifts from Tonto, they will prove once and for all that they know the bible but do not believe in it. |
The first road to failure has been earnestly embarked. Never give a broke man more money than he needs. He will waste it on useless things. Iya Miracle, mo ni kio kun fun adura. Ogun idile sii'nbe ni waju. |
"Buhari, go back to yaa zoo" A statement made by economic refugees and asylum seekers, majority of whom escaped the same zoo under the PDP administration of 16 wasted years. Anyway, Buhari should return to the zoo that best fit his kind. He has no business in a civilised society. |
He learnt early that Nigeria was not worth dying for. A country that refused to show understanding and support when he required it, despite his service rendered over the years. A country made so by fellow Nigerians who use their little position of authority to make the lives of those under their authority miserable, while themselves are complaining that the government is wicked and useless. The government is not a machine or robot, it is people. When you find yourself in any position of authority, how useful, responsive, efficient and humane is your government? |
KidsNEXTdoor:An injury to a serving senator is not the test of the efficacy of our democracy. Rather, an injury to the unknown yet responsible Nigerian citizen is the test of our democracy's efficacy. Have our political and government leaders cared to make this democracy work for the regular Nigerian citizen who have become victims while the leaders are the only citizens in the setup? A serving senator being a public servant, should be treated as the ordinary Nigerian is treated by the police like a criminal despite no conviction, humiliated daily in civilian public by the military, treated as a statistic by the courts who remand and adjourn without regard to humanity, and easily lynched by the barbaric mob who have embraced their status of not having rights. The day the ordinary Nigerian is treated well in a republic and a democracy, an accused senator can also hope to be treated as well as the Nigerian citizen. The day the ordinary Nigerian enjoys the rights already duly accorded by the constitution, then will our democracy not be under attack. If an accused senator feels under attack, let his cult of fellow selfish and uncaring lawmakers make laws for the benefit of all Nigerians who daily experience such attacks. Our democracy would be better because all enjoy rights, and not because a senator already accorded the courtesies not afforded the proletariat, attempts to extend such rights as being above the law after suspicion of involvement in breaking the law. |
How many people have died in police custody, yet the House or Senate never did anything about it? How many have died in prisons while awaiting trial or judgment? Why is it that only the political class of Nigeria are citizens with rights and privileges, while the ordinary tax paying Nigerian does not even have his fundamental human rights respected by the organs of government? Let Dino Melaye go to Prison while on trial, as a fact finding mission, and use that firsthand experience to promote civilized laws in the national assembly, for the good of all Nigerians that will have any encounter with the police, the courts and the prisons. Or why is it so hard for our political leaders to realise that Nigerians are being treated as victims in their own country? Why is it so hard for Dogora or Saraki or Buhari to demand that a certain John Doe who has died extra judiciously in police custody or even in illegal military custody, is an aberration that must never be tolerated in a democratic republic? The day government leaders would care about the rights of the unknown Nigerian, that is the day the country will work for all such that Dogora would not need to remind the police of the rights of a notable politician. |
BankeSmalls:You just proved that you are indeed very young and very ignorant. Even if we overlook Odi Bayelsa and Zaki Biam Benue massacres that were executed by the Nigerian state federal army, how many were ever prosecuted for the many religious, ethnic, herdsmen crises that resulted to numerous deaths during the Obasanjo regime? |
A once proud man, now sunken. How are the mighty fallen. |
aonag:That's all the sense you made from this positive approach to cattle rearing that poses no nuisance to fellow Nigerians? |
Some people are destined to be frustrated no matter the news that comes from the government. I may despise the hypocritical Buhari and deride his government, but my case has not become as miserable as those who love to react from a position of hate and a need to always be victims who instantly feel their persecution complex is threatened when something good is done for their benefit and inclusion. |
Even Peter had shown such love to his baby mama turned wife. He got her a Range Rover, if I remember correctly. |
I don't have a problem if Muslims choose to kill themselves so they can enter paradise. The problem only arises when they forcefully make the same decision for those who do not adhere to their beliefs and do not desire such exit from this world. The Northern elites brewed this drink. It is just if they suffer the consequences of their own irresponsibility, religious intolerance, and hatred. |
The impunity by the Senate and House leadership against its non-conformant members, is finally coming to an end by law. |
LordAdamX:I will advise that you reach out to Okonjo-Iweala to delay the release of her book. It can only make your image laundering job for the Jonathan family very difficult, while reminding many at this season of election why they voted out PDP for the equally useless and ungrateful APC. |
LordAdamX:I love your delusions. Continue taking me to the cleaners please. As long as I get you to reveal your hypocrisy every time. If you need more cuss words to complete your sentences to show your state of education, I will be happy to oblige you. All I need is for you to keep talking/typing and betray your partisanship and frustration, while not forgetting to remind us of how corruption is necessary in the Nigeria of your own dreams. |
seguno2:He never made that statement and I know you cannot show me any proof of that statement besides a headline news. Same for those who claim Buhari promised them $1 to N1, but cannot prove the claim with an actual news excerpt quoting his words, except for bogus headlines. Buhari's factual statement when accosted by journalist at an anniversary event for abacha that was organized by the Abacha family, was that Abacha was never convicted of stealing. Many of you will today argue that Buhari is doing media trial with mere accusations without trial and conviction. I hope you will appreciate the hypocrisy and double standards when it comes to a dead Abacha who we all believe he stole, but we cannot fault Buhari's statement regarding an absence of conviction. |
seguno2:And who says Buhari is any better in his own personality. That Buhari turned out a failure does not excuse the failure of the president before him. The Buhari who appeared like a tiger when we thought he would rule with zeal , forthrightness and patriotism, now appears to us like a useless pussy cat. |
jimrog:I campaigned for Buhari because of the zeal he showed in his promise to fight corruption. The current sorry excuse with hypocritical talk but no action is a disgrace to himself and his family. Shame on Buhari. Shame on his hypocrisy. If Buhari will not arrest and prosecute Jonathan and his wife and his own appointees in this regime, I will campaign for someone who will rule and arrest Buhari and any of his family and appointees found wanting. I hope Buhari will not be foolish then to claim that Jonathan was also corrupt. |
LordAdamX:All you have said again now, has it made your attempt to launder the corrupt age of Jonathan and his wife any better? If you were my PR employee, I would fire you immediately for even tarnishing my battered image further. I am not doing anything useful, yet my monthly income is a dream annual salary for many Nigerian graduates. Yet I have never stolen a kobo from Nigeria nor do I worship those who have stolen nor argue that their theft is justified. I may be a nobody, but many nobodies like me ensured we disgracefully sacked your hero from power, yet you still have refused to overcome your misery and frustration over that loss of your access to the public loot of Nigeria. |
