CowHard:2009 old news. The current Deji, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, is the one that used the famous Akure cane to discipline the disrespectful Igbo refugee who had the effrontery to be appointing Igbo chiefs for Akure. |
sekundosekundo:One of the greedy souls who constantly hungers for what is not his, having already possessed his own. |
Also remembering to collect as much intelligence information about the Nigerian army and our defence capabilities. |
eagleeye2:I have no problem with scrapping of quota system that exist with employment. But a federal unity school is by the very purpose of it a quota enabled education system that has been conceived for the sole purpose of bringing diverse Nigerian kids together. Southerners should stop lamenting over their own high admission cut off within their own states, as their competition to get into those schools is limited to candidates of that state alone who are all competing to fill up slots that have been allocated to their state. The Zamfara students are also competing to fill up slots that have been assigned to their own states too, hence the very low marks there as there really is no competition. The rest of the slots OWNED by Zamfara will still end up being redistributed among states who have already filled their OWN allocated slots too. Anyone who is not satisfied or interested with the federal unity schools should apply to the litany of state public schools and private schools that do not enjoy the federal subsidy enjoyed by the federal unity schools, and move on with their lives without the misplaced bitterness exhibited every admission cycle. |
Which will result in low cutoff marks as most of the candidates will not even score so high and do not even tally up to the total slots allocatable to Zamfara, resulting in an inability to fulfill their allocated admission slots in the quota system. But some greedy souls would still be looking over their own fence and lamenting as to why their own state had to have such high cut off marks while Zamfara has very low marks, labelling it as marginalization as though their own states do not also already have their allocated slots that is guaranteed within the quota system. |
zoba88:UK soldiers, not USA. |
But that's the recognised wife of Ebuka. We already know CeeCee looks like Ebuka's wife which is why many wrongly assume she is his sister-in-law. And we also already know who is CeeCee's sister and there is a popular picture of CeeCee with her real sister. All this propaganda by competing teams of housemates is really unnecessary. |

Earlier in the week, we were regaled by news that Covenant University embarked on a forced hair cutting for its male student population. The video of same also surfaced leaving many to wonder on the appropriateness of this action from the following standpoints -Personal hygiene and public health, seeing that a single clipper was reused immediately for all. -Fundamental human rights of an adult in a higher institution. -The needlessness of the act as the video only showed students with regular moderate hair level being cut down to reveal the scalp. -The hypocrisy of an older generation of adults to demonize the same hair levels and styles that were the norm in their days. -The unrelenting demonization of the African hair by Africans and the bald headed. Based on the last 2 points, I present to you younger pictures of Bishop David Oyedepo who is the founder of the school, to underscore the hypocrisy that history reveals. Infact, I dare say that the likes of Matthew Ashimolowo, Pastor Adeboye and Ayo Oritsejafor cannot escape a scalp revealing haircut in a school like Covenant University, that has insisted that every male student must carry a bald head like its founder. Does the headowner "Olori" not have rights over his own body?

He cannot try same here. The lesson here is that you can be king in your own country, but outside of it, you are just another refugee, migrant or tourist. It behoves us all to ensure our country is habitable. |

Olabestonic001: 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. And indeed he fulfilled the debt and burden of the law by his death and blood that paid the price. He fulfilled it and he declared it finished. So why are you still insisting that you want to fulfill what the redeemer has already done. Are you unsure of the Christ being the way to salvation, so you want to hedge your bets on all other possibilities? Or are you still saying the law of circumcision is still valid for salvation? Are you still practising first fruits too and have likewise greedily monetised it? Are you still practising the law in its entirety since you insist it must remain, or have you decided what must remain and what must be ignored despite insisting it is not yet abolished? Does the law allow for women such as these female pastors? Where do you belong? Are you a Judaists or a Christian? I will fulfill the law...It is finished. - Jesus Christ |
Olabestonic001: 23 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. Was the law fulfilled while Christ was still alive? Did Christ not live in the time of the law, and by his death fulfilled all requirements of the law and the burden it placed on the people of Israel? Did God himself not promise a new covenant for which the old covenant that bore no profit would wither away and die? And did Christ's death as testator for that promised new covenant, not make the law obsolete? As long as Christ was still alive, there was no new covenant and the law was still valid. Being the testator for the new covenant, he declared, "I will have mercy, not sacrifice". Why are you still insistent that you want to give a sacrifice that is not desired and cannot redeem you, when a new covenant that made the old obsolete is already established? Did you also notice how those who paid tithes in a time that tithing and the law was still valid, paid only in agricultural produce (and animals) from the land despite that there was currency money at that time? |
flamingREED:If it predates the law by those who chose to give it voluntarily out of spoils of war, why then is that the business of Christians who are followers of Christ? If it predates the law and is not even the tithes that was in practice by the Jews, for which Christ mentioned it as part of the matters of the law in his parable about the Pharisee and the sinner, and for which Christ concluded that he will have mercy and not sacrifice, why then is such pre-law tithe then a burden to be introduced into Christianity by charlatans? What is the business of a Christian to be practicing tithing, and what is the business of the Christian clergy to be receiving it? Was that the great commission that Christ bequeathed to his disciples as he ascended to heaven? So you do not even know that while Tithes was the inheritance of the Levites from God for not having land among their brothers, it was a mandatory SACRIFICE by the rest of the Hebrew nation? The Sacrifice of some was the inheritance of one. "I will have mercy, not sacrifice." - Jesus Christ |
Tajbol4splend:Pay it to who? Is anyone who is not a Levite entitled to tithes outside of the widows and orphans? Are Christian clergy Levite? Are they bereft of inheritance in this world like the Levites were? Is the church offering that is giving willingly not enough to cater for the basic needs of the church and clergy? Must the church compete with banks on matters of money? Is a Christian under any obligation to the law or aspects of it that have been greedily monetized by hungry men, like Tithes and First Fruits? |
Why are these criminals so steadfastly holding on to a law that is useless? |
Why is he crying over his people who consider him to be "Awusa" and therefore deserving of their hatred that they have in surplus? |

beejaay:1.He tried to give money to the SNG led by Tunde Bakare who visited him after he had started his presidency upon Yar'Adua's death. The SNG rejected it, but many who had been visiting did not reject such waste of public funds. 2. After the Oct 1st 2010 bombing at Eagle Square Abuja, he tried to exonorate MEND from the attack on the sole reason that his fellow NigerDeltans could not do such to a government of their own (Only to forget his own script and betray that position publicly in 2015 while campaigning and revealing his presidential security knew about the planned attack specifically by MEND, so they hurriedly took him out to safety), and rather wanted to use such incident to rope in IBB and some other Northern presidential aspirants in the PDP. He even got Raymond Dokpesi (who at that time was an IBB campaign coordinator) arrested concerning that very bombing. He showed himself too early to be clannish and not ready to be impartial where it concerned his own ethnic stock. This incident and his later revelation showed how twisted a mind Jonathan was to use an incident he already knew the details and identity of the perpetrators, to try and rope in his political opponent within the same PDP. 3. His government promised that before the end of that year 2010, that power would be stable. By November, his government was singing another song and had shown itself to be dubious. 4. Just as Buhari began showing himself to be mentally bereft of any brilliance from the early days of his government, Jonathan who was now in the spotlight as president rather than the saving shadows of vice president, showed that he was totally clueless about his own office. 5. While Buhari and Tunde Bakare were campaigning, a senior member of the Jonathan campaign said Bakare being born a Muslim and now a Christian, deserved to be killed for daring to abandon Islam. A Christian Jonathan who was president did not deem it fit to denounce such from his campaign team. After his victory, he appointed such an obnoxious mind to higher office. It would always be remembered that he avoided the presidential debate where other top contenders made their pitch to Nigerians, he rather settled for a government media sponsored session with DBanj. You do not need a 4 yr term to realise that someone you looked up to is useless. Those who voted Jonathan realised this, just as those who voted Buhari also realise same. Both groups voted their choice despite protestations from fellow Nigerians that turned out to be valid. |
I can swear I have seen old pictures of David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel, and he had an Afro as a young Christian minister. Now that he is old and bald, it has become a sin to keep hair, and his narrow mind-view must be forced on a liberated mankind? Who made the rule that African hair is unsightly and must be cut away the moment it escapes from the scalp? |
Is traditional marriage not the true marriage? Church marriage is one of the other types of marriage. |
Is Nigeria still a republic? Is there human rights in Nigeria? Covenant University is a reflection of a broken system where those in authority do not know the limits of their power and the fundamental rights of the citizenry. That a university will forcefully enforce a haircut as punishment for whatever offence, is the reason why Nigerians have never been raised to speak up against tyranny. Covenant University has helped to raise a lot of stammerers in Nigeria, who are too scared, subdued and unable to demand to be treated with dignity by the authority. A nation of people who bow before their oppressors - their fellow man. |
That's good. I have always believed that political actors without the will to perform, are certainly lacking the right motivation. While some need to be pursued by the law to work, some actually need to be sacked because they can never accept that they are truly useless. Jonathan and Buhari belong to the 2nd category. This is the same Leo Ogor that wanted to be deputy speaker in PDP's arrangement with Saraki and Dogora at the start of this current legislature. |
E be like say this guy is suffering from mental retardation. He needs to be flogged with the famous destiny resetting Akure cane. |
rumours:Why are you hurt that most who voted Jonathan also regretted their actions and sacked him? Did people who voted him in 2011 not vote in another candidate 4 years later? Why can't you just accept that a failure was sent packing just as the failure called Buhari would be sent packing? Why is it so hard to accept that the PDP is a useless party as APC has also shown itself to be? If you are one of those who voted Jonathan in 2011, just apologize and move on with your life. That you are suffering now does not mean you did not suffer in 2015 when Jonathan had to empty the treasury to buy the votes of same people who voted him without having to empty same treasury in 2011. Have you compared your Jonathan to Yar'Adua before him? What commodity did you buy in 2015 that was same price you bought in 2010. Was Petrol at the filling station the same or was Naira exchange rate to dollar the same? Was the foreign exchange reserve the same or the excess crude oil account balance? Do you know what it means to sack a president who was regarded internationally as an ineffectual buffoon? What facts do I need to twist about a harsh reality that led to a sack? It is not my fault that you do not have a retentive memory. |
beejaay:Yes I supported the rightful handover to a vice-president in the event that the president was indisposed. However Turai and her husband's kitchen cabinet wanted to continue to run the government in the name of a sick and handicapped Yar'Adua. By the time Jonathan eventually moved from acting and became president in April/May 2010 when Yar Adua died, I only needed him to spend less than a year to realise I had only rightly campaigned for a clueless man to rule. So when it was time to vote in 2011, I warned all those who settled for the tales of "I had no shoes" "he is a Christian", " he is a minority". I did not even need to rub it in when they were the ones who wondered how they could have voted for such an empty headed PhD clown. They were the ones who sacked him without thinking twice. The same way some needed only 6 months to realise that Buhari did not have the will or courage to save us from corruption or be a fair and broadminded leader. |
CSTR1002:Awolowo won his election seat in Western Region, Zik won his own in Lagos owing to Yoruba votes. At the end of it all the party with majority seats (Action Group) formed government and Awolowo became the first premier of the Western region and his party did not even win any of the 5 seats in Lagos. Zik did not have any clout outside Lagos in the Western Region, beyond his Lagos Yoruba political associates. Awolowo did not commit any crime in being a Yoruba man in his own Yoruba land and campaigning as a true Yoruba man. He could only campaign for his own seat in his Yoruba soil, while the Benin Anthony Enahoro and the Warri Itsekiri Prest, also campaigned as natives of their own constituency to win their respective seats with the same Action Group in the same Western Region. Just as the likes of Dennis Osadebay also contested as an Igbo man from the Western region and Okotie Eboh contested as an Urhobo/Itsekiri on the platform of NCNC and defeated fellow Igbo and Urhobo contestants from the Action Group. So if Azikiwe and Okotie Eboh and Osadebay won seats for NCNC in the Western Region/Lagos, just as Awolowo, Enahoro and Prest won seats for Action Group in the same Western Region, where do you place your "Alejo" narrative as the reason why Azikiwe and his party failed to measure up to Awolowo and his party in the Western Region elections and eventual Premiership? As at 2015, Alex Otti in Abia state was reminded that even though his family might have resided in Ngwa land for so long, he was not a true Ngwa man and will not be the one to represent the Ngwas when the opportunity finally came to become governor of Abia state. The day you finally realise that it is absurd that when independence came calling for the regions in Nigeria under federal British rule, the Igboman thought it was too early for the Yorubas to be independent, despite being the ones who had long been academically, socially and politically ready to run a modern society, so he wanted to rule them first when his own and the other region were to be run by a native of that region, only at such time would you have overcome your wild greed and delusional entitlement. |
laudate:See as the guy retrace his steps and denied his own question which I answered with facts he seemed to have forgotten, yet his tribe daily lament since 1966 the dilemma and anguish that Igbo foresight caused. |
Sctests:So you are no longer gloating about Igbo foresight? Or was your question which I replied to not about the famed foresight of the Igbos? Or was Azikiwe or Ironsi not Igbo? |
Sctests:Let us ask Azikiwe and Ironsi what happened to their Igbo foresight when one insisted that secession must be made illegal, and the other ensured that regionalism was supplanted by Unitary government. Both policies have continued to be lamented over by their own tribesmen since 1966. Yet the "myopic" Yoruba politician, Awolowo, warned on the need to have a secession clause. Such would have prevented Igbo misery and anguish a few years later. |
adadike:Did you listen to the people like us who saw the future in 2011 and told you Jonathan was going to be a failure? |
Amiano:I was also vindicated about Jonathan despite all my appeals to friends and family not to vote an obviously clueless man in 2011. Meanwhile this was the same Jonathan I campaigned for on social media and within my party of friends in 2010, to ensure he was made Acting President when Turai Yar'Adua was using her vegetable husband to play with the destiny of Nigeria. Those friends of mine were also disappointed and were the ones who ensured he was sacked in 2015. |
